I really hope you never stop creating these amazing videos!!! I've just started learning Dutch on my own over a week ago and had had a lot of unanswered questions... Needless to say that I've finally grasped some basics since I watched a couple of your videos. The way you explain and show the examples of the sentences is just so clear and straightforward! Thanks so much for helping others understand Dutch!!!! ☺
Your lessons are great and I find the way you teach very very good! Please, upload more videos!!! :)
Dutch was never this clear to me. Please make more videos. Your videos are the one-stop solution.
Hey! I've just started to watch your videos and they're really great. I'm trying to learn Dutch by Duolingo and some other courses but having some problems because nobody puts the grammar rules as clearly as you do man, really appreciate it...
So, I wanted to comment on your first video with some sincere compliments because I want it to be read :) If I have now could get your attention, can you make a video about the negatiations (both geen and niet and their placements)? You might be doing the videos according to the amount of the demand from comments, and I don't think I'm alone on this issue. At least in many Duolingo forums that deal with the exercises I've seen many questions regarding negative sentences, believe me.
I hope you give this a chance, have a good one!
Ik kom uit Amerika. Ik vind Nederlands mogelijk dus bedankt voor alles!!
That is great what you are doing! I like your videos because they are so human and explicite! Understandable! A great method of teaching and learning ...for me! Congratulations!
Thank you Mihaela! That's great to hear

Your lessons are awesome. You should make more videos. Not a typical approach however it is very effective
I just started as an absolute beginner from Turkey and I really like the way you teach. I will watch and study one by one from your oldest video toward the latest ones. Keep going, Niels! Thanks a lot.
Thank you, Niels your videos help a lot in addition to all the other methods of self-learning. GG! Keep it up!
Saya suka cara mengajar bahasa Belanda anda. I like the way you teach Nederlandse taal..Ik vind het leuk..🙏

Thanks Merve! I definitely plan to make some videos on Er in the future. Not sure when I'll have time, though!
Hi, Niels... It would be great if you could do a video on the use of "niet" and "geen" and the sentence constructions that should be used. Cheers!

Bedankt. Heel interessant om te leren. Ik ben blij voor je.
Hi Niels, why aren't you doing anymore vids? Would you be considering in future. Can I still support your channel? Will be so happy to have your response. I am actually learning Dutch intermediate, so with a lot of grammar basics I am very intrigue by your channel, and have learnt alot too. ))
First, thank you for teaching Dutch in such a smooth and straightforward way. My question is: how should we make a sentence with more than one word? f.ex I think he has enough work to do. --> ik vind hij heeft genoeg werk om te doen ??
Very good! Can you give us a lesson and explamples of Het and De words?
+1 voor het en de!
Hi Niels, wanneer ga Jij een les over Dit,Die, Deze,Dat maken? Dank je wel voor alles!

How can we make this happen… Niels; your videos are amazing! They have taught me so much, and after discovering you, I find you no longer make content here. PLEASE COME BACK!
I watch your videos a lot I find them really helpful as I continue to learn. Have you any material on using the dutch word 'wordt' in structures as I hear it a lot but don't understand how it fits into day to day speaking.
Keep up the good work

Hi! Thank you for your lovely message! I just uploaded a new video. I thought I'd start the new year well.
(The beardless videos are 3 years older, so that's another reason why I look younger in them ;-)
@@LearnDutchwithNiels 😂😂😂🤡🤡🤡
Great
wow its too much useful thank you so much for this videos I learn alot I hop for more videos please..
Thank you Serat! I'll continue making videos!
Ik vind het gemakkelijk om "vinden" in verschillende zinnen te gebruiken want in de Verenigde-Staten gebruiken we "vinden" dezelfde als "denken"...we kunnen deze twee woorden wisselen...vind ik!
Ja, voor een Engelstalige is het inderdaad gemakkelijk! Maar let op, in het Nederlands is 'denken' en 'vinden' niet precies hetzelfde!
Same in italian
Kindly upload more videos . Do you have any paid classes subscription ?
Amazing! They you🎉❤
I just want to point out the irony at 4:25 ish "Ik vind hem een slechte leraar" Text on the screen "Ik vind dat een slechte leraar"
(You're not a bad teacher)
Ha, well spotted! The better of the two is the one using 'hem', by the way.
It's an easy mistake :) You're videos are really helpful for answering the gaps in my grammar, I appreciate the time you've put in
Nice
I looooove youuuuuu and your videosssssss
oh and if you could develop a way of clearly expressing the passief construction (with/without objects) that would be a nice addition.... :-)
Wat is verschillend tussen "vind"en "denk"?
I mean in the previous , i was asking about two topics : what exactly can I use instead of but like: I want to swim but my hand is broken , or the distance is so far . And the use of to do ,, alstublief
Hi, in that case you can just use 'maar': Ik wil zwemmen, maar mijn hand is gebroken. Or: Ik wil zwemmen, maar het is te ver. It works the same as 'but' in English. I hope that answers your question. If not, let me know!
Dankjewel Niel :)
Love the lessons!! Only problem I'm having is "ig". Is it pronounced...like -ich- in German or ish in fish or is the ch pronounced like the -h in huge ?
Dank je 😁👍
Great class,thanks
You're welcome!
Would be ok to say "I vind het leuk om te doen" , to expres that you like to do something? I understant that "graag" has to be used when expressing that you enjoy an activity, but how would you say you enjoy that activity without mention the activity itself, like in: "I like it" after doing something?
Yes that's correct, you can express it that way
@@LearnDutchwithNiels Hi. Thanks for answering. I also learned "Dat bevalt me goed" to express it. I been told that "Ik vind het leuk om te doen" is more like a general statement and not as an answer to "how do you like it?". Both are correct, I guess.
Hoi Niels, wat vind je van deze zin: 'Vind je haar schuldig?' Is het goed Nederlands? Ik vind het zelf raar klinken. Iemand vroeg of het een goede vertaling is voor 'Do you think she's guilty?'
Hoi! De zin is goed te begrijpen, maar inderdaad een beetje raar. Ik zou liever zeggen: Denk je dat ze schuldig is?
'Vinden' is voor een mening. En schuldig / onschuldig is (hopelijk) gebaseerd op feiten!
Ich finde das Video gut.
Ik vind het filmpje goed.
You are cute❤️thAnkyou my friend👍🏻
je bent de beste leraar.
Dank je, Joelson!
"Ik vind het gezellig OM TE doen" and" ik vind het gezellig TE doen", is it the same thing, right?
Hi Aaron, good question. In this case, only OM TE is correct. Using only TE is limited to a few situations:
There are a few verbs that can take te + infinitive, like hopen, wensen, proberen, beslissen, durven... (most of the other ones you'll use less often). For example: Ik hoop de wedstrijd te winnen.
When combining staan, zitten, hangen, liggen + another action. For example: Ik zit te lezen (= I am reading, and I am sitting at the same time. Something that English can't do).
Otherwise, in the situations described in my other video on OM TE, you can't omit the OM. For example, after adjectives (as in your example) you always use OM TE: Ik vind het leuk/spannend/gezellig/fijn om _XYZ_ te doen.
I would like a lesson on je, jullie, jou, and u. I have trouble knowing when to use which.
So what would be the difference between "vinden" and "denken" then?
Vinden is only for opinions. Denken is for other thoughts and ideas, like "Ik denk dat ik te laat ga zijn" (I think I'm going to be late).
Learn Dutch with Niels! Ohh,ok,I understand now.Dank je wel!☺️
Hi .Please om te what does it mean?🌹🌹🌹
Hi! I have a video talking about 'om te'. Please watch it and let me know if it helps!
How do we use zitten, staan, liggen,
I've got a video on that topic on the channel -- take a look if you haven't seen it yet
ik vind jij een goed leraar ....
Many thanks, I have learned alot. Kindly to upload more videos. Thanks
I'll make another video next week, if all goes well
Ik vind Utrecht gezelliger ook
Lekker mooie stem
Attention: 1 Ik vind dat een goed idee = I find that *an* good idea. 2 Ik vind dat één goed idee = I find that *one* goed idea.
*[een=an/a] [één=one].*
At the start of a sentence: 1 *Een* goede buur = *A* good neighbour. 2 *Eén* goede buur = *One* good neighbour.
Hi, it's true that 'één' means one, and 'een' means a(n), but your example doesn't make much sense in practice. You would never say "Ik vind dat één goed idee". Only the version with 'een' is used.
Maybe I misunderstood your comment, but: why did you point out this distinction? Are you responding to a particular example from the video?
Learn Dutch with Niels! It's a common point of confusion for English speakers, so this was perfect timing.
Both are actually used, especially in ABN.
Yes, één is certainly used, but not in this example. Your second example is correct; you could say "Ik heb één goede buur (en één gemene...)". But you can't say "Ik vind dat één goed idee". Grammatically, it's possible of course, but I can't think of any situation where you would say "I think this is 1 good idea". A better example would be "Ik vind dat we maar één goed idee hebben", if all other ideas are bad.
Learn Dutch with Niels! I get asked that question by foreign people or new Dutch people and they completely don't get it or can't pronounce the difference.
Seen you almost bring almost bring it up,...couldn't help myself. Maybe some of those people watch this channel, who knows.
Why you dont make new videos
Ook ; ik vind het moeilijk te gebruik will en shall en zal and had In Nederlands taal
Will and shall = zal, in Dutch, but sometimes we just use the present tense instead. I'll make a video in the future about when to use which one. Thanks for the suggestion
Niels, Where did you go?
Still here! Just a little too busy to make videos. But I uploaded a new one today, to kick off the new year
Learn Dutch with Niels! Thanks for the reply and thanks for your videos, new and old. Hope to see more. Either way, the very best to you and yours.
Moi

Here is a playlist containing all Niels' video ua-cam.com/play/PLZGMMesCTP6pgCuoThpD0g_1o9cZ8UQgO.html
I just start leren nederlands een ik believe ji are doen in amazing job..
Ik vind je een rustige leraar. Bedankt!
your lessons are great, please upload more
I like your approach, simple and relaxing
Thank you!
So when putting an adjective after a noun you don’t use the copuler? Instead of saying “Engels IS moeilijk.” You’d say “Engels moeilijk.”?
You do use 'is' in Dutch as well. So you can say: Engels is moeilijk, or, Ik vind Engels moeilijk (= I think English is difficult)
ik vind jouw video geweldig!!
