her sense of humor is priceless:D and guys who think she should speak more slowly, I wanna say to you that yeah, she could do that, but why should she, since Dutch people speak like that, or even faster? That's how you learn to understand the way they speak, and that's how you can develop a proper intonation and pronunciation. You just have to pay attention, keep rewinding the video, and try it over and over again, it is not impossible.
Aside from this being just a bit too fast, and lacking in repetition, this is mega helpful! I love the little anecdotes you give about Dutch culture. Thank you for doing this!! I just started teaching myself Dutch recently and this is awesome.
I come from Belgium (Wallonia, French speaking part) and I've been learning Dutch for 5 years at school. So yes, there're some more countries that learn nederlands op school ! ;)
Thank you. I am visiting Belgium for three weeks and I hope this is the same Dutch spoken in Belgium. Just want to speak a few phrases in Dutch when I am in Belgium.
Great video! I learned so much from this really quickly and it came really handy cause I’m traveling to Netherlands in a few days! New sub. Edit: if u want the video slower there is a setting button on the upper right corner of the video and u can adjust video speed.
This is useful for whole-phrase memorization and their English expression equivalents, but alongside that, could you please give a literal translation for the Dutch prompts and responses so we can get a better grasp of the Dutch grammar? Thank you! EDIT: People say the pace was too fast for them, do they not know that they can use the left arrow key or double tap the left side of their screen to rewind as many times as they need? ;)
I got that biscuit with blue sprinkles on top, when i gave birth to my second baby, in the hospital. And i was sorry that I didn't eat itu, i didn't know it was kind of celebration for my baby :)
Dutch USED to be taught in schools in South Africa... though not mandatory or optional as part of the general curriculum, it is still an optional tertiary language at certain schools and institutions. Afrikaans is very similar to Dutch and is actually an off-shoot of old, high-Dutch. As a result, Afrikaans speakers can thus generally understand the Dutch speakers (at least to some degree anyway) - but to us, it sounds like a whole lot of slurred slang with an "american" accent. it's quite odd.
Great videos... with real people teaching... in my case talking speed" is fine... even if I am begginer to this languagge ... Just I would prefer if dutch words are written after english expressions, it fix better my attention to the new language ... just saying, cheers 💐💐💐
@@mikehokken haha, dat klopt. I was learning Dutch four years while staying three and quite sure I understand most words or conversation, theoretically. But everytime i came into it practically with real Dutch, i will always feel like i know knothing. I didn't understand most words if they speak a bit longer than one or two sentences :))
take it easy, learn 5 words a day.. in one month you should get 150 words then memories them again it in a sentence.. trust me in one month you would say this is easy and fun.
They just do like dutch words and English translate words and repeat once or twice because it's hard to catch up the word because she talk and give lot of explanation in English and she just repeat one time only and very fast she do explanation in English just tell the words

She's so entertaining. Makes the lessons go down easily.
My first time jumping on this Dutch train and the first sentence uses my name ! 🎉
For those complaining of speed, choose a slower playback speed for the video. Tadaa. You're welcome 😁
Ik hou van stampot! The word 'sibling' exists in English, but is rarely used in the UK - more common in America though.
Magnificent sense of humour!!

You can also hit the "gear" icon and change the playback speed. Usually it's quite intelligible even slowed down.

Good. 👍
The throat sound is the only problem with this 👍👍👍👍

She is speaking pretty slowly for typical Dutch. In real life native Dutch speakers are shooting words like machinegun :)

you can change speed of video in UA-cam settings
Are you a Dutchie who speaks English with a light British accent, or, are you English, but quite good with Dutch?
Leuk leraar💘💘
Dutch has a male and female version for the word teacher. Lerares is the right one.
Why am I here? I can already speak some Dutch because Afrikaans and Dutch are so damn similar. For an example:
Hoe gaan dit met julle?
i would never have guessed her name was Jacob...(0.27)

You'll get there! That's what I thought when I started learning German. I just waited 3 years and then I was fluent
Nah Dutch is one of the most easiest languages to learn.
Learning any language takes years, but yeah Dutch is pretty much the most easy language to learn for English speakers

I got her telefoonnummer guys. How'd ye like them appels.

Ik vraag altijd "Wat is je naam?" i.p.v. "Hoe heet je?"
