Figured I’d put this video out there. It’s pretty controversial right now, but I’ve talked to a few people about it and that seems to be the fix. I’ve taken it for 2 50+ mile rides and the speedo works like it did before, which is good.

Thanks for posting this! I bought my Navi from a Honda dealer two hours away, my local Honda dealer has a really bad reputation. This saves me from having to load the Navi up in the truck and driving it to where I bought it.

Hi i took my navi to the dealer for the recall , they replaced the cable. i was looking at the plastic you were showing and it was up , quite a gap. i took the head light off and saw the cable was not right so i rerouted it like you did. Thanks for letting us know. if you ever ride and your bike shuts down , check the spark plug boot , mine fell off the plug. hitting pot holes and Bumpy roads will cause that.

So inside your speedometer is a couple of gears. They’re plastic and can break, rarely they do. But it does happen. Rolling back can be caused by a bad ratcheting mechanism directly underneath the mileage meter itself. You would probably be better off purchasing a new speedometer as they do not sell the mileage indicator by itself
