Honda NAVI Carb Tuning
Переглядів 10 тис.9 місяців тому
Back from my month long illness, we swing into the long awaited tuning video. I tried to make this video as a direct example of what TO DO when tuning a carburetor. On this bike it's pretty easy. I wanted this video to be as short as it could be, but I would rather fully explain how a carburetor works than leave people in the dark. If you have any questions, leave them in the comments below. Denali Soundbomb Horn On A Honda NAVI (HUGE DIFFERENCE)
Do you still have the stock exhaust sitting around? Would you sell it if you do lol
Please we need another tutorial for the conection of bluetooh media receiver and pairing configurations!! Thanks for your work!!
Love ur video bro ! thanks
amazing broooooooooooooooooooooooooooo , this crazyy! good idea i will take it ,hello from peru!
Our bikes are twins. First time seeing one that’s identical to mine
Drawing rated 2 3/4 …
Mine broke at mile 600 on the dot. Thanks for posting this! 😄
I've never heard any mechanic call tires or rims "shoes"
Couldn't you just grind down the metal nub that goes into the hole?
Excellent video.. Thanx 👍
Way cool!
Can I ask you something?
Sure boss
Looks good bro 🔥
Appreciate you!
This video don’t play right
What size rear tire do you have
110/70-12 Shinko 723 WhiteWall
I need to know about your foot pegs please give me some info on those or do you have a clip about them on your channel
amazing video. is there certain ways i can tune the carburetor so that the bike pops or anything special like that?
Did you rejet it? If so what size?
No rejet. You should go a little richer on the jets
Hello, how to place the S2 LED there ?
Excellent video! I need to order and install some new shoes (and tires) for my Navi this week, and had no idea where to start. This is exactly what I was looking for!
Hey, what kind of tires are those and where did you buy them? Can you leave a link?
Shinko whitewall 723, amazon. 110/70-12 both front and rear
Was the rejetting necessary? I want the mnthebox intake but I am running the yoshimura rs2. I notice you are running the same exhuast please let me know
With both the intake and exhaust, you will have a major lean condition which can severely impact motor performance and also lead to overheating and possibly internal engine damage
@@pookythomasmoto9147i ordered the jets will follow your video to rejet after my intake is delivered sometime this week. Thanks bro!!
@@pookythomasmoto9147 thanks for the advice bro! Currently watching your next video on how to rejet
Thank you sir. Very clearly explained and I appreciate the time you took to prepare and share this information. Good job....
I need the D screw for the fuel screw… can you link me to it?
Motion Pro on amazon sells them. 1/4 inch
@@pookythomasmoto9147 I think I found it! Thanks! I have used a few of your videos over the last month learning to wrench on my Navi- great content 🤙🤙
Did you put the stock exhaust port ring / gasket on?
Yes. The exhaust itself bolted on fine, but I took it off and slid the ring back in and it seemed to be a more snug fit and almost sounded better
Miro que es facil y segun yo era complicado pero con este video lo hare mas adelante
Well done, thanks for giving us that!
Your the reason I purchased mine. Absolutely amazing tutorial. Thank you and please be safe!
Get out! That’s awesome. I am honored!! Thank you so much.
Exhaust tutorial??????
In the playlist.
Couldn't you also run the bike with the petcock turned off until the carb is empty?
You could. Unfortunately not all the gas will burn/push through. It also takes longer. So either way you will have to empty the float bowl because of the vacuum.
Hey sell me that stock air intake?
Hello ma, Where did you get the LED signal kit? In the front and rear? Thank you!
Yoshimura turn signals. On their website or MNNTHBX, or SteadyGarage. Thanks!
Guess I should have should have asked my EGR question here. I got the scooter swap shot EGR block off plate. I see on the lower left of the bike where to put the plate but then you have the tube wrapping around to the intake. After you put the block off plate on the lower left side what do you do with the open hose? Seal it off or something?
Yes. If you want a more efficient and trustworthy way to do it you can order rubber silicone plugs on amazon. Make sure you nail the inner diameter correctly. Measure the inner diameter of the hose and match it with a rubber block off on amazon.
@@pookythomasmoto9147 APPRECIATE THE HELP!
@@kyleagg78 I could do a video on it this summer. I have been wanting to do it but it doesn’t do much for the riding I do. I was interested in deleting it, super simple. Another reason is the EGR filter box is supporting my denali soundbomb compressor so I wouldn’t be able to fully delete the EGR
Do you have any videos that go over the EGR? I got a plate to put on to stop the backfire/popping but then what do you do with the hose that was attached there?
The silicone hose that goes back into the intake manifold near the carb?
Where did you get your graphics? All i can find is the generic colors. Your navi looks awesome!
They are the OEM hondaline graphics. Urban camo graphics
excellent video! I also have a Honda Navi. I see you from Peru, greetings!
Thank you for watching!
You don't really sound like you like your Navi very much.
Best thing I’ve purchased. Why would I proceed to put hundreds of dollars into it then?
Both! Honda anything.
On the bar end mirrors did you had to drill it out any for them to fit? I got protaper bars and the hole is too small for the mirror. If the renthal doesnt need drilling or those mirrors have smaller posts i might have to get them.
Renthal did not have to be drilled. Pro taper bars are not meant for mirrors. The bars you get for the navi are meant for pitbikes, and those don’t have mirrors. The bar ends are generic black ones off amazon with a hex on the end to expand the internal bore. That being said, I have purchased renthal bars all my life and have yet to bend a single one
@@pookythomasmoto9147 Thanks!!! Completely new to this and just kept hearing ProTaper ProTaper Protaper so i went with that. Was never really concerned about bending so Renthal seems the way to go to get the look i want. Ill be using this video this weekend to do the carb.
Sell that idea to Honda Very cool 😎
What did you do with that left over gas ? Did you put it back in your tank?
Any gas I drain out of the carb I don’t put back in. You probably could, but I wouldn’t. I used it to get a campfire going shortly after this vid 👍🏼
Ok thank you
What size bracket did you get?
I made it out of an old piece of metal I had laying around. It’s an L bracket form that’s probably 3 inches long and an inch long in the other direction with a bolt hole on either end for mounting and M6 through
Do you have a link for the d shaped screw ?
It can be found on amazon. Search motion pro socket 90 degree 1/4 inch.
Thank you !
Se puede usar el aceite de transmision 85w90?
I learned so much here it’s unbelievable. Thank You. You are a great teacher. Never thought I would learn this. Amazing. You got a sub.
Huge appreciation for you!
Waste of time watching this video..
Thousands of others disagree…
What do you have instead of that line from the final drive to the airbox?
You can buy these little breather hoses. They have an aluminum end cap on it that you can get colored. They’re on amazon and work great. The crankcase ventilation hose has a mini uni filter on it
this is insane I need this update for my navi immediately lol well done
Best thing I’ve done to the bike
@@pookythomasmoto9147so you still recommend that speaker exactly or would you go with something else? I do delivery on my Navi so this upgrade is a must. Also is there any way you’d recommend modifying the Navi to get 50mph in wind speeds of 25-30mph? I get it to 45mph-47 when I tuck in those weather conditions. Also if I can get to accelerate faster to those speeds? I’m looking into those weights and over all upgrades on transmission. Obviously I don’t know what I’m really doing lol but I’m optimistic and open to any suggestions. Doing that and deleting the rev limiter. Again I’m really looking for advice and would much appreciate it. The Honda technician told me the bike should last 30k miles before needing rebuilds so if I can’t get near there with mods and up keeping maintenance then it’s no biggie. I just don’t like slowing traffic down 😂😂😂
@@pookythomasmoto9147Also recommend putting on both speakers on both sides of the storage unit?
I have not bought a navi yet, but I'm planning to add the speaker already. Great job, budd. And beautiful bike too!!! You've done some good work on it!
Any performance results from the performance coil?
