As a heat fan he was definitely looking like the future for a window in time especially when we put him at Pg. part of me wishes we gave him another season or two of development. Wish him the best for sure
I appreciate this video today in particular. I happen to be struggling to get out of a dark place after my career was sidelined. I can relate to a lot of what is said in this video. As Black men, we too get to those crossroads, where everything is uncertain (when it was seemingly all good a year or two prior). I hope he finds his way back. I’m working on mine. Sending love to all the brothers out there 💪🏾
I really liked him and wanted my pistons to draft him. They took Stanley Johnson. I thought JW would be great but I eventually got excited and had a lot of hope for SJ. Now you understand why I am not working in a NBA front offices
I remember watching Justice and Stanley Johnson getting drafted and thinking. They were going to be the next superstar rivalry in the east. Wild how things turned out for the both of them.
Yep!! Those were the two I was most excited about coming out of the 2015 NBA draft. Like you said, crazy way for things to turn out. They were both looking like future cornerstones for their franchise. Pretty sure they're both out of the league now right? I for sure thought Stanley was gonna be a 20+ points a night guy, and Winslow something more like 18.5ppg, 7reb, 6ast, 2 stl type a guy.
He’s definitely my Heats saddest player to bust, injuries and inconsistencies played a big factor. Man was a hard worker, a true heat culture player with all the upside and ability to play at the NBA level. For gods sake he even was a point forward which was something I loved watching, just extremely sad he never got there and is struggling so much rn

Miami gave Winslow every chance possible. So apparently ESPN and all these other institutions and organizations that rank these kids and hype them up so much get a large sum of money from someone. How many of these kids are actually as good as advertised. You reach a certain age and you realize the hype is a lot of a fluff. I never saw anything spectacular out of this guy. The truth is these guys that make it to the league are just so much better than the guys they play against in high school.
