Thank you for not including your entire life backstory in this video. There's nothing I despise more than UA-cam'ers who are storytellers and terrible teachers.
@@JordanDueckjust watched this video again and realized that I watched it in the past. Only to find out that I made this comment and almost typed the exact same comment again.
I think it goes without saying, because it's been said many times below but kudos for making it straight to the point and clear presentation too, this is worth the subscription :)
I love that this is 3 minutes long. Quick, simple, to the point! Mac users - hit the COMMA button to insert your selected clip into the timeline when you're in the source monitor (not period)
So the "ctrl" button, if you are on the little grey sound line in you sound file and your cursor is on the line you hit ctrl and it makes a little marker dot. Which you can then use to adjust sound levels at very targeted points. It's helped me a TON.
Is there a shortcut for toggle on and off button? For exemple, toggle on and off Lumetri color fx for multiple clips at the same time? I mean, select all clips, hit CTRL + L (for exemple) and toggle on/off the effect. I'm still searching and could not find a way...
Was blown away that I didn't have to skip through the video, stayed till the end even though the music sounds like a bad Genesis game LOL. Seriously though man, love your work and your knowledge, thank you for sharing.
Nice quick and to the point. Cheers. I've found J-K-L keys good for scrubbing through the footage. As you mention J (reverse and speed up reverse playback) and L (forward and speed up forward playback). If you've added several increments of speed forward (or backwards) then hitting the K button brings playback speed to zero in one click before changing direction. Cheers
Good video man. Since you are on PC, how do you deal with the ALT button wanting to activate MENU shortcuts instead of keyboard shortcuts all the time? Like if you hold ALT too long it activates the underline+letter function on the menu in windows and I always have to click off somewhere to get back to normal. Thanks dude.

I know this is completely unimportant, but I was experimenting with adobe (first time user) was playing this video, then paused it and forgot about this video, and continued to work in adobe. Got frustrated because I didn't know how to skip clips, went back to the first monitor (with the video still up), played, and immediately number 15 showed up. Thank you for the tips and tricks! Now, is there a way to where you can just select a button and the playhead will automatically split, instead of equipping the split tool, and manually having to split the video?
Jordan bro, nice lesson to us... i have watched many tutorials for shortcut keys.. but no one tell ..(.) and G and Alt plus drag it can be copy the clip... its awesome ..its useful for me ... thanking you man...
Thanks for the helpful videos! Premiere just changed the shift + a feature, now it selects everything ON THE LAYER to the right. What is the alternative, now?
Hi Jordan! It's awesome tips video! Short and simple! I slowed down this video speed to learn at my own pace! For those who are already expert, they might just play at normal speed! Thanks Jordan! 😊😊
idk if you will see this but, you can actually use the CTRL + K to cut where your playhead is, so u don't have to click the razor tool to cut the clips in between :]]] this is called the ADD EDIT.
Actually, period is to "overwrite" and comma is to "insert" , meaning if you use period and the playhead is on top of another clip, it will overwrite the new clip on top of the other.
Hi is there a shortcut key for " track selected mask forward 1 frame " ive been looking for this for some time now cos my computer is to low tek for the mask tracking to go full auto hence i need to manualy track it and thats with the mouse button and thats killing my mouse and my arm lol

You're sweet! Thank you! I appreciate your getting right into the content and moving through it without a lot of commentary

OMG you never blinked!! 😱 thank you for the info, very helpful:)
Thank you for just getting to the point haha I really appreciate the direct-ness without a novel intro 🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿
"Ctrl K" cuts where you place blue timeline moving marker thing so it can be exactly where you want it to be
Do you know how to reverse ctrl K? (join clips you have previously cutted)?
@@superKazod ctrl+z to undo everything
@@superKazod if you mean merging clips, you can nest them. Select the clips, right click, nest… name the nest seq. And that’s it
Thanks man, love your videos keep up the good work.

You can disable that easily in settings
@@SunnyBoi. Where exactly in the settings then if you know? Saying it is probably in the settings doesn't actually solve the issue.
@@Sparks3D bro if the notif pops up, it should give a link right under it saying “disable this shortcut.”
@@SunnyBoi. Never said it was a notification. Anyways, decided to use an alternative workflow so this isn't an issue.

I bind ripple delete to "x"
It really helps!
Great idea!
I bind split at play head to X since I do so much precision chopping. I've always used Shift+Delete for ripple delete. Either way easy time savers!
Thanks bro
