That audio fade trick is SOOOO helpful! I've been wanting a feature like that for years. I never even knew it was starring me in the face the whole time. The markers tip is also a big help. Some of my time lines get huge and cluttered. Thanks for the great info!
I've got an even better one for ya - it's a plug in called Excalibur and with it you can create multiple audio transitions of different lengths and then assign keyboard shortcuts to them so you don't have to keep changing the default transition duration all the time. Only downside is that it's a paid plugin. But it's well worth the money.

I clicked on this video thinking oh more of the same short cuts….but ended the video saying wow I learned soooo much!! Thank you for thinking outside of the box! ❤️
You're NOT losing quality by using scale to frame size, that's not exact. There's no downscaling otherwise you would get a calcul time everytime you drop a clip on timeline. This option allow you to replace later medias by anything else with a different size and will keep position/scale effect applied corectly cause the value of scale would be unchanged. Its a very useful option actually, for example : you do some editing with shutterstock previews wich are very small sized, applying effect on scale and position cause you know its gonna be 4k later. So you would drop them on timeline using "scale to frame size", this will allow you to simply replace medias with the HQ 4k footages later and keeping all your effects applied properly. On the other hand "set to scale frame" changes the value of scale settings to let you replace later by media with the same size as original.
The "enlarge" Marker option is sooo helpful! I didn't know it and I always marked my chapters with "start..." and "end...". Thank you for this great tip!
I KNEW A LOT OF THESE! However, thank YOU SO MUCH FOR THE REMINDER! It's crazy that even after 3 decades, it is still TRUE that if you don't use it, you lose it!
Helpful as always also i am a skillshare member since a year now and all the basics and advance i learned for premier pro is from your master classes ! thank you for such easy explanation as always !
I'm having so many issues with Premiere not finding fonts recently and just randomly messing them up, even though they are activated via Creative Cloud. Sometimes I can change them in the effects window, sometimes it works in the essential graphics window instead, sometimes neither. So the font replacement trick is a HUGE lifesaver for me, thank you so much! I've spent way too much time trying to find every single text layer (in about 10 hours of footage) and replacing it by hand.
I have taken your class on skills share last year then today UA-cam randomly recommended me to watch this video. Looks like the Internet Gods are at work
I love all your videos, it's concise, fast and easy to understand. Helped me with my edits so much. Thank you and more power to your channel! Much appreciated!
This was very helpful,i was looking for chapter marker thing for like year and i was not able to find it because i don't know what to call it and my journey is finally over thanks to you 🤩
You are literally my new favorite creator!! I just found your page and can’t stop watching. You make learning so entertaining and I can’t wait to try these tips! 🤯🤯 thank you and keep creating! 🔥
Soooooo love your videos! I've been editing with Premiere since the early days, and I'm finding more and more ways to be more efficient through your videos. THANK YOU!!!
Number 5 was so big brain. I've done the first part before where i put raw clips into a seperate sequence but making them both visible simultaneously to drag clips is super smart. Thanks Jordy :D Edit: Pancake editing!!! :DDD
This is very helpful... To me, especially the pancake technique cause I'm vlog editor and often time looking for the right track one by one is very time consuming...
Holy shit. I just realized I'm an a$$hole for watching all these videos yet I never subscribed... until now. DAMN that was a lot of good info packed into a fast, engaging video.
I'd love to see you guys making more content for Davince Resolve. It's a free editor that quite literally anyone can have access to it. Whereas Premier is locked behind a paywall. Your content is literally GOLD! Yall are awesome.
Anyone knows how to this "effect controls filtering" also in After Effects? 02:08 Effect controls filter: Keyframe Would be great to filter all "properties" that have keyframes there too...
Dude, your videos are the best, yours are the rare that I hit the bell for all now. I worked decades managing IT sales engineering teams, so I'm somewhat of a bit nerd.. and I can't think of any content provider who gives so much real productivity help. Your work is awesome. I signed up for Envato Elements trial few days ago. Do you like Story blocks better?
Thank you for sharing this amazing tutorial! I learned so much from it and I’m excited to apply these tricks to my own projects. Keep up the great work!
Getting a Logitech mouse with all the extra buttons has been huge. You can make macros/hot keys that work only in Premiere. It’s amazing how much faster it made me.
