Really in depth tutorial bro helped me for me installing my own gtx 960! U showed me everything where some people only show the driver going into the PCIEXPRESS slot and not show the wireing and screwing in and out the metal parts but your video obviously did so thanks so much sorry for spelling I am not English! As my first language haha

What if I have a 6 pin pci-e to 4 pin onto the motherboard? I have this cable from previous card, do I need to buy anything besides the graphics card? Am I ready to just get the card or do I need more cables?

That is one way to do it. I just wore rubber shoes and took precautions since I was on a carpet floor.

Aww. My PSU doesn't have the extra power supply. That's ok I was prepared for that possibility. Now I need to upgrade my PSU and get an adapter for my Dell board etc.
I would advise you to get a 650W 80plus gold. I find them cheaper on the market

Yo make sure you have a good cpu and an overall good pc, make the settings high, install the correct driver, and voila.
I have the same card as you do. I tried to install it when I turn on my PC, my monitors won't go on not at all.

I have the GTX 960 as well but when it came to plugging in the PCI-e i only had one pci-e cord.. leaving one of the spots blank on the adaptor. is this fine? or will it break

I get a black screen on startup. I have the exact same computer as u but with the gtx 960 inside, nothing shows up on the screen. Any ideas?

ok so I installed it but my mouse and keyboard don't work? I took it out and installed the old one back into it but they still don't work...

We tried to install this card on an ASUS LGA1151 DDR3 HDMI DVI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 H110 Motherboard Micro and it would not power on at all - no lights, nothing. Everything was working with the integrated graphics, but it failed once we added this GPU. We tried the same on a second motherboard with same results, so we suspect the GPU. Do you have any idea if we missed something or if this is just a "bad" unit?
We changed to a different power supply (EVGA 600B Bronze 100-B1-0600-KR Power Supply, 600W) and GPU and it is working now.
We tried the old power supply (Corsair CX550M 80+ Bronze) with 2 GPUs (EVGA GeForce GTX 960 Super Clocked ACX 2.0 4GB GDDR5 128 Bit Gaming Graphic Card (04G-P4-3962-KR)) and each time it fired the mother board (3X).

you are probably using a stock PSU. you might need to upgrade it. there are many power supplies on amazon that are around $40. just make sure its over 400 watts.

Yes just uninstall old drivers, install the new card then install the new drivers.

YES YOU NEED TO DO THAT, IF YOU CONNECT YOUR MONITOR TO THE MOTHERBOARD YOU WILL GET DISPLAY FROM THE INTEGRED GRAPHIC CARD IN THE CPU, BUT IF YOU CONNECT THE MONOTIR TO YOUR GPU YOU WILL GET DISPLAY FORM YOUR GPU. HOPE THIS WAS USEFUL

There's a chance that static will shock the card or your motherboard from your fingertips. Static shocks are most common in winter but touching metal discharges you so lean your wrist on the case while installing. Try not to move around to much and if you can wear rubber shoes (crocs, flip flops, etc.) And try not to touch the motherboard unless you have to. (Like removing the current gpu)
Static has a chance at damaging your parts like a power surge

The power supply is the big square box with cables coming out of it. So yes, it's what's able to give juice to your PC

Heck yea. I went from gtx 745 (oem) at around 30-40 fps in games to 120 (Fps capped though so maybe even higher)

Probablemente tendras que comprar otro power supply o psu si a eso te refieres como fuente o puedes comprar un cable de 8 pin que se vuelve molex para la fuente pero recomiendo que tengas la fuente adecuada para to gtx 960 que por minimo son 500w con un 8 pin...

Nothing displays i dont know why but they are programmed to not spin until 60 to 65 degress

Maybe I'm missing something, but it looked like the only SATA cable that got reattached was the Blue one. Did you abandon Orange and Red, or route them under/around the cars somehow?
Actually, just watched again and paused when you were adjusting the PSU cables to the right front of the case. I see the orange and red routed under the black psu cables. I believe I have the same XPS pre-built system and I'm installing the GTX 960 tonight after work. Should go in flawlessly thanks to your vid!

im sure you have recently done it but i just downloaded evgas drivers online and there the exact same as the nvidia for anyone else wondering i would do it from evgas website because it might be more fine tailored to your card. dont use the disc that comes with it as these usually come out of date

If your power supply can't give enough power to run it, then you will need to get a better one. You need to *completely uninstall* your old graphics card drivers and once that card is in you need to download the new ones for your new card. I wouldn't use the disk that comes with because its almost always old. *If you get a black screen try updating the BIOS*

it will be. The 1050 is more power efficient than the 770 so if you can run the 770 then 1050 should be just fine :)
