How to power your Graphics card with SATA power without PCIE power | Nvidia 2020

This video is for anyone who have a graphics card that needs external power and but dont have the power supply that have the pcie 6 pin power so this video demonstrates how i powerd Nvidia Geforce 740M using sata power.

people should be aware to check that the sata string they are connecting too is able to supply the current that graphics card requires i would think its pretty close to the limit ,it would be smarter to connect it to the 4pin molex connector string ,id prefer to add an extra psu

its allways smarter to buy a psu with all the connectors you need ,you can get them really cheap online ,and if youve spent all that money on a gpu an extra30 to 50 bucks is deffinatly worth it

Yes you can but if you connect with 2 molex then it will convert into 12 pin - 6 + 6 pin ,
Because a normal 4 molex adaptor has 6 pin adaptor
