Hey man I just went through a hard time with my dad and we are no longer talking. He was my main pc guy but thanks to this vid and the other telling me how to put cards in when I buy a better graphics card I can finally put it in without his help
Sorry about your dad bro
about to take my 3070ti out (for the first time) for a 4.5hour drive soon, you have reassured me, thank you
Every desktop case has its own GPU removal technique. It depends on what case you have. You might need a screwdriver or you might not need.
Thank you, I was having trouble finding out how to deal with the lever holding tabs
Me at first: *scared of breaking my gpu*
a few seconds later: Searches for a video and starts watching this and then realizing it wasn’t as risky as I thought it would’ve been
Me after attempting it: literally breaks the clip from the pcie slot

Same bro how did u fix it ?!
@@chillenat2am 😂😂😂
i feel u. am scared
@@chillenat2amyou can't...
Thank you i have 13 years and my pc died so i had to switch my graphic card ro another pc and i didnt know how to do it and than i saw ur video!!!
I gotta remove the gpu to take off a heat sync so i can access the m.2 slots to add another ssd. I haven’t even received my custom pc but this video helps with the stress of this operation
For some reason I’m not able to take the screws out of the side idk if the screws are old or I’m just using a bad screwdriver
Thank you! I didn't even need the tutorial (I was finding it for someone else) but listened to the whole thing due to how calming your voice is
Same here

Yo. Nice vid. But as for the screw. Im lost at which type of screwdriver i need
Your clip is such a life saver
Thank you very much its very helpful to me. As a beginner. New subscriber here .
What if I unplug the power cable from the socket and keep it in the pc would it make a differnce?
No, that's fine
Does anybody know what screwdriver he uses in the video?
which way do you push the lock??
How do i do it if my graphics card has a aio cooler?
Can I know if I have a graphics card installed without looking inside or opening my computer??
Very helpful
Thank you, i was going to replace my gpu and wondered why it wouldn't come off! (followed all the safety measures in the video)

Cool I just stole a pc so I’m taking out the card thank you
Wha
Is this a joke?
Lmao
Nice

If you're not savvy, like me, you are taking a MAJOR risk with this. The parts inside a PC are sometimes very difficult to turn, move, plug in, etc. I got my GPUs out and only then realized I didn't have the right tool to get the parts off the get to the fan. Once I realized I wasted my time, I had a nearly impossible time getting the GPUs back in.
I have a pre built and it seems like the graphics card is not meant to be taken out. Either that or I just dont know what I'm doing. I have a sticky gpu fan and I can't fuckin get to it.
@@ryze9153 I got a prebuilt hp with 980 and it’s put in upside down with a metal bracket in front of it 😵💫
the PCI-E cable doesnt wanna disconnect at all, even if i press down the thing, which for me is on top. i still cant get it out
thank you so much
We’re they all in the PCIe x16 slot?
I thank you so much. I have known my Graphics Card had trouble for about 4 years. Being afraid, and not wanting to spend the big bucks to buy a new one, as well as not knowing how to remove it well, also not damage anything in the process. Well finally it won't populate the monitor in over 36 hrs so it's on the fritz. I can take out the Card from another PC that is also a gaming type and will follow up with more help to see if just putting in the "newer" one will save me.
Thanks a lot mate
thank you so much 👍👍👍👍👍👌👌👌❤❤❤
Thank You, this helped Me get my USB Drives working. This Custom LENOVO came with a screw holding the graphics card in that is (so conveniently) tucked behind a metal flap, so its basically impossible to unscrew unless You have the worlds tiniest screwdriver. I lifted the graphics card best I could and squeezed the USB power plug in behind it into the slot and vwalla , the front slots work now.
Why is my gpu getting stuck on the left side when I try to remove it?
one of my cable for an extra dvi slot wont come off
Thanks!
thank you man, just upgraded from a GTX 1660 up to an RTX 3060
I’ll sell you a 3080 for $350
Great video brother I needed this
I forgot about the lever on the pci express bus. The card was in there for 11 years. I pulled the card out, and the pci express bus snapped like a cracker. It didn't even take much effort. Buses didn't have levers in the many PCs I built in the 90s and early 2000s so I couldn't imagine anything like this happening. I should have watched your video. My question is, since my motherboard has a second slot (as a feature for dual sli) can I use that other slot? Guess I'll try and see. But curious what dangers can arise from a motherboard with one broken pci slot?
I used the 2nd (last) pci slot and put back in the old video card and put electric tape to cover the broken pci slot. I leave a fire extinguisher in the room and never leave the PC on if I'm not using it. I should probably throw out the motherboard and sell the ram, and video card and rebuild.
Wait wait what? You didn't remove gpu drivers?
I pulled the left side and the other side won't come out did i broke it?
I don't see that "removing clip" on the prestige x670 Creation ? For the graphics card. I don't want to break it haha.
@PaulyEditz it needs a ton of force tho and I am scared my motherboards pcie will rip out
wonder how much fps ill gain after cleaning
Good job
it just doesnt come out, i tried pulling so hard on my rx 580 even with the slot completely open, wtf?
Excellent.
What do you do 1:47 with the cables, whem you removed them
nothing. just tuck them away so they're not in the way. Or plug into the new graphics card if you got one.
The last time I tried pulling out a graphics card, it ended up in the nearest galaxy, Andromeda
I did everything but it’s only moving abit
so i have a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 6GB GDDR6 and want to upgrade to a nvidia 3070, 3080, or 3090. is that possible since they may be different sizes. i got my pc prebuilt
idk but, my thinking is maybe you need to search the same size such as if you have 2 fan right now then search 3070, etc that is 2 fan too (safe choice) for the height i think all of 30 series are the same 😁😁😁
What’s that gpu
I have no lever :(
Thank god I didn't use force
iw as taking a gpu out of my old pc that was useless, and i realized the screw rounded out, so im f'd
Thanks, I got a free PC from the recycle (it works) but it has no HDMI port.
very nice ❤❤
I’m having trouble finding the screws connected to the graphics card
same
You sure your monitor isn't plugged in to the motherboard ( internal graphics card ) instead then?

I can’t even get my screws untight
Can we remove existing graphics card to install a new one
Yes
Mine isn't going out and I bendeded a lil battery thankfully it still turns on but mine is different there is nothing to unplug there is nothing to hold but it won't come out 😭
Same
I avoided this for years it's not hard at all xd
If I wanted to change my gpu, should I remove all the cords connected to my pc or just the power and ones connected to the gpu?
Just power and gpu cables
The stableizer lever thing seems to be stuck on my gpu idk how to get it off
Yeah same im scared to force it
@@shadowreaper5413 I was able to get it out, I think I ended up trying to wiggle it a bit more then forcing it out. Cause I was replacing it so I would’ve preferred it to not break it so I could sell it, but it wouldn’t have been the end of the world (it didn’t break tho)
@@StillFN nice
my motherboard won't let me pull it out without a lot of force what the fuck do I do? I do not want to break it.
Find the pin or lever thats pulling it down
On that second uninstalling (GeForce GTX) it seems to be leaning on the right. Why? Mine does this but a bit much noticeable (msi GeForce RTX 3070).. I'm not too tech savvy but the lean bothers me so much.. can someone help me fix it straight?
My gtx750ti used to do that. The reason was that the metal part that faces the outside was bent and didn't go in the right spot between motherboard and pc case. I was able to fiddle it in but was very worried about scratching the motherboard. Seemed to not be a problem on the end in my case. I should have bent it instead though
How to remove video card from motherboard?
GPU is the video card anyway.
None of my pcie clips look like thks
The click is stuck and nothing is helpoing
Anyone else have a magic invisible screw in the back left holding it in? The card is out but something in the back left is holding it in so now I’m stuck holding my card up with my left hand typing this with my right. frozen in time until someone replies
Damm bro is still frozen
@@lordpotoo1375 yeah i got left hanging
I just can't disconnect the damn cables cause my fingers don't fit to get it out from the pins. Man 5700xt is a pain in the ASSSSSS
Needs more chopsticks (careful)
Nencer of dm
As always my lever is the hardest thing to move, shit almost gets wedged
pro tip (i never did this):
lay the pc case down so you dont need to hold the GPU while unscrewing the screws
Nice technique i tried that alot of time since i like getting newer gpu and cpu so there no risk at all
My clip won’t go down
Use a flathead and push down
Bei me to
@@dragonquake I tried this but I'm afraid it'll pierce the mobo, using a b450-f btw and goddamn its difficult to pull it out
