I remember getting a rrod twice playing Oblivion. First time it was repaired and back to me in a week. Second time they send me a new one within four days. Was kind of interesting getting a new one after almost 3 years (extended rrod warranty). Though rrod was horrible I was pleasantly surprised with the service (in the Netherlands, but they were sent to Germany).
Solder, not glue. It melts too early and messes up the connections. Which is why the repair in the video won't last long, since no new sauter was applied; it was just reheated and some corrosion cleaned out.
I remember "fixing" my 360 when I was in middle school by replacing the thermal pads with a penny wrapped in electrical tape as well as replacing thermal paste, learned that from a youtube video at some point. I wasn't expecting anything permanent, but it ended up working for another ~8 months before the RROD popped up again.

this type of fix is only temporary though most of time it will last anywhere from a few hours to a few months and will red ring again. a complete reball can sometimes fix it but that also usually isnt always the case.
I hate to be this guy but the UA-camr who makes these videos is an expert at editing and I'll leave it at that 😬
@myaccountgotsuspended1431 he's right, this video is a fake. The xbox was NOT repaired, but it was cut to show that it was. I could tell it was swapped for another console near the end of the vid.

The xbox he fixed was a Jasper unit (no HDMI), odds are if you have a 2010 Xbox360, you have a Falcon GPU, which had resolved most of the issues, you will likely never see a RROD.
