Thank you for doing this video. I've always liked him and he was great in Captain Britain and MI13 but used poorly in Secret Avengers, in my opinion. The Fury would make a great villain for the Avengers. I also liked your costuming choice for this video.
Hawkeye is the first character that jumped into my mind upon hearing of a patriotic character. Where as he starts as a villain, he later became a strong leader of the Avengers chapter. Best part, in my opinion, he was just a man.

Great vid, im a big captain britain fan and believe he can be used alot better in a main storyline but the biggest downside to CB is his name which I believe puts readers off with the thought that he is a rip off to captain amarica when they are completly different. Only wish CB could be shown to be more a confident british superman than the british stereotype which more recent versions of him seem to be

I think Captain America and Captain Britain(after the first revamp) inspired The Statesman and Hero 1 respectively in the now defunct City of Heroes game (don't buy wildstar! NCSoft will kill it!)
was excellent in my opinion, well recommended, and it brought fresh life to some characters that unless you grew up in the 80's are more than likely to not know, amongst other, the awesome Deathshead II AKA Minion.

I just think that the rest of the UK could use a lot more representation. Also, I a supporter of a Independent Scotland and I just thought it would be cool to have a Captain Scotland.
If Scotland get independence... You'd create a split personality from Captain Britain -- Captain Scotland or Captain Scotty, or is it Captain Caledonian or Highland Man Tartan Man?
There was already a Captain Midlands in Marvel, so there's no reason that other areas of the UK (or potentially former) couldn't have representative heroes of their own. It's not like the USA only has Captain America!
Ultradalek7 There have been multiple iterations of Captain America, but other American-patriotic heroes from the Marvel Universe including Jack Flag, USAgent, American Dream, Miss America, and Patriot.
You've missed out big time, although i will say, some of the handling of him has been bad at times, purposefully trying to render him a bit of a joke, as was done,albeit to a lesser extent in the Secret Avengers, one thing they did do in that series with him that was very true to his history, was that he easily withstood the fire of the Phoenix (although there was the effort by the writers to try and portray him as a raging egotist, which could be further from the character) sadly over the years he has been subject to ridicule in stories that would never be allowed to happen to Captain America or any of the other well known heroes, and fun fact, in the first issue of the MI13 run, he punched the head of a super Skrull clean off.

I also co-wrote and drew a CAPTAIN BRITAIN SPECIAL , which was a huge hit with CB fans , it too is free on Facebook! Search for 'Avengers UK by willow' and look for the AUK logo in a Union Jack !

Making a walking national flag like character is a dumb idea. If you're a none American don't start thinking it's a good idea to create a "national mascot super hero" just because you see the US has Captain America. Putting "Captain" then the name of a country is a terrible name regardless of whom the country is. This also still applies with Captain America. Also the concept of making national mascot hero is very stupid by itself. The main reason why Cap. A was successful was because he was created during ww2 era and there was a lot of upheaval and nervousness that caused some people to be compelled have a mascot. This still applies after ww2 with the cold war and also having a good workers at the company to keep the character interesting helped him a lot. Simply making a national super hero just to have one so you can act patriotic or cater to your pride is NOT worthy of the effort. Hell you don't even have to make a "National mascot hero" to look like a walking flag. Just look at superman. He is another character many consider a national symbol. So the idea its stupid to create characters like these. Cap. Britain was created to cash in on British patriotism by an American company before someone else did. I tried the new Excalibur run, and it's pretty good if you can get past the parts that make no sense.
Yeah, New Excalibur got kind of wacky. Personally a bigger fan of the MI:13 run when it comes to Braddock's team antics.

I always found it ironic that Earth X writers did captain Britain More justice than his own creator did in Excalibur.
Was revolutionary war any good? I was thinking of picking it up a while back but I never got around to it.
