Thanks for watching!
Aww, definitely a good one to end Geek Crash Course West on.
Fraction's Fantastic Four and FF run is my favorite thing ever. I find it's super easy to get lost in the old properties if you're not careful but Fraction's was accessible and ridiculously fun.
Well edited, researched, and presented. I liked the John Byrne run.
Sorry to hear GCC is finishing- love the show and never miss it
It was a great show man. You chose a good topic to end west on.
Hanna Barberra produced an animated series in the late 1960s that was based closely on the early stories of the Stan Lee and Jack Kirby run. De Pathe Studios produced an animated series without the Human Torch (due to the rights being optioned to another studio) in the early 1980s. The Human Torch was replaced by HERBIE the robot. I recall watching both of the series on Australian television in the 1980s.
I have to do this:
RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRDS!
Have you already mentioned Thing and Hulk's rivalry?
6:49 *MULTIPLE INFINITY GAUNTLETS WITH THEIR OWN SETS OF INFINITY STONES?! W. T. F.*
I don't read the comics, but you'd be surprised by how often those things show up in the extended media. In fact the capcom marvel superheroes fighting game that lead to MvC actually had infinity stone gameplay mechanics.
Hey Michael - I recommend Mark Waid's run on Fantastic Four from the early 2000s - Its what originally got me to read FF and it picks up after Claremonts quite confusing run with plenty of fun stories featuring new takes on classic villains like Diablo, Galactus and the Wizard, as well as two of Doom's best stories in Unthinkable and Authorative Action. Marvel did some collected hardcovers a while ago but they may be out of print now. Really recommend giving it a try if you can find it.
Gareth Jones Is that the run with Mike Wieringo art? "Ringo" was the man.
It was indeed. Its probably one of the best runs on the series.
Dat Gaim in the background.
With Geek Crash Course going off into the sunset, will it's hosts continue to do online videos of geek type stuff but under a different title
I like the original 1980s cartoon
Is the final Geek Crash Course episode ON Geek Crash Course, presented in the format of a regular episode and then finishing off with the heartfelt thank yous and goodbyes?
Scott Sandler No, it's the final West episode. Next week is the final East, then the final Classic, then a final vlog. We post weekly on Wednesdays. This isn't changing til the end of the year, as promised.
Geek Crash Course I didn't ask if this was the final episode, I asked whether the final Geek Crash Course would be ON Geek Crash Course (as in the show being the covered topic)
Scott Sandler Misread, sorry. Though I did answer you. Final episode's a vlog.
Don't go... endings make me sad..
And then the movie turned out to be a massive flop. Will the same curse befall Dawn of Justice and Doctor Strange? We shall see...
