J Jonah Jameson is part of the reason I enjoyed the 2018 spiderman video game so much because whenever he'd pop up and say something about spiderman whether it was positive or negative it was always incredibly amusing and a great attention to detail.
Oz is one of those brilliant shows that unfortunately has been forgotten. It came on before The Wire, The Sopranos and got steamed rolled by those 2 great shows. Matter of fact a lot of actors in Oz got roles in The Wire and Sopranos. Also, 2 of the main cast members in Oz that were playing psycho prisoners were also playing cops in Law and Order, Chris Meloni and JK Simmons.
Brilliant actor and exceptionally versatile. Can't believe it's the same person one film to the next. And every one of his many characters really brings the scenes to life.
He was a perfect JJJ, but his performance in Whiplash was one-in-a-million. One of those truly unique and iconic characters like Daniel Plainview or Vito Corleone.

J.K. is just such a legendary actor absolutely one of the greats Its always amusing to me when an actor discovers the joys and beauty of voice acting because they always see it as a side-job silly thing until they begin realising that their performance is everything and the impact that characters have on people is tremendous and the best part for me is when one of the big actors like Simmons gets a taste of voice acting and enjoys it :D
Aw no discussion of his role in "Counterpart." I highly recommend it to anyone whos a fan of Mr. Simmons here. He plays two versions of the same character, with some interdimensional shenanigans happening. He was fantastic in Counterpart, an underrated gem.
Yes! So as I saw tyr commercial and it had two JK Simmons, I was in.
Fantastic show. Any fans of Severance, you've got to see what came first.
@@OutOfMySystem don’t discount “Fringe”
He's a one in a millenia kind of actor, his range is insane!
Am I crazy or did we miss the fact that he plays Omniman in Invincible, and it’s just perfect
I also really, really, REALLY loved JK in The Accountant. This man's voice is the weird reassurance I've always wanted. Cheers to his career and talent!
Jonah Jameson will always be iconic
💯💯
JK Simmons, thank you for acknowledging Sam Raimi's influence on the MCU. He for sure paved the way, cheers!
15:28 such a down to earth humble guy. I never would have thought of him like this based on his typical roles. This refreshing to see.
My spider senses are tingling with that camera view and the way he said it XD 1:06
J Jonah Jameson is part of the reason I enjoyed the 2018 spiderman video game so much because whenever he'd pop up and say something about spiderman whether it was positive or negative it was always incredibly amusing and a great attention to detail.
I really wanted to hear him talk about Counterpart. He was brilliant in the duality he had to play.
Under appreciated series it had so much potential
A meekly gentleman Howark Silk vs. an alpha male Howard Silk... would be a really great talk, indeed.
Such and incredible show, will miss it.
+++++
That's what I was hoping for when I clicked the video! Such a missed opportunity to not ask about his dual role.
We need Tobey Maguire breaks down his inconic characters and Elizabeth Banks as well.
Brilliant actor and exceptionally versatile.
Can't believe it's the same person one film to the next.
And every one of his many characters really brings the scenes to life.
His version of J.J.J is the perfect casting for that character and his performance is flawless.
He was a perfect JJJ, but his performance in Whiplash was one-in-a-million. One of those truly unique and iconic characters like Daniel Plainview or Vito Corleone.
I'm so happy he got to talk about Oz. Such an underrated and brilliant show. If you haven't seen it, treat yourself and start watching it.
THANK YOU FOR SMOKING is criminally underrated.
Around 2010, I met Aaron Eckhart while he was filming Battle Los Angeles. Instead of talking to him about Dark Knight and Two Face, I spoke to him briefly about Thank You for Smoking. He was really cool
It really is!
J.K. is just such a legendary actor absolutely one of the greats
Its always amusing to me when an actor discovers the joys and beauty of voice acting because they always see it as a side-job silly thing until they begin realising that their performance is everything and the impact that characters have on people is tremendous and the best part for me is when one of the big actors like Simmons gets a taste of voice acting and enjoys it :D
I love you J.K.Simmons, your performances are always incredible, and you rule at every role you play
Aw no discussion of his role in "Counterpart." I highly recommend it to anyone whos a fan of Mr. Simmons here. He plays two versions of the same character, with some interdimensional shenanigans happening. It's incredibly well done because you get the feeling they're the same character despite being absolutely nothing alike.
It's very underrated. Great show
J.K. is so wholesome, and such a phenomenal actor. I will watch anything he touches. Bravo!
No mentions of Palm Springs, Men Women & Children, Labor Day, Jennifer's Body, Up in the Air, Burn After Reading, Rendition. All great films/performances
or Portal 2. I mean Cave Johnson is iconic.
That would be an hour long video. But yes we'd all watch it 😂
his episode could be an hour long to go over all the greatness.
Yeah, I thought for sure Burn After Reading would be on here. Love that movie!
Maybe he can come back for a part 2
The more movies I see J.K. Simmons in, The more I appreciate, and respect him as an actor. He takes on different types of roles, so he can't get pigeon holed into any particular type of role. I very much enjoyed, even though it was a drama, his movie, "The Bachelors". It showed range.
His Cave Johnson's character is what sold me Portal 2 (well, and GladOS obviously)
I love how both versions of JJJ are basically a spectrum, the mainstream media to independent media spectrum.
