I'd love to see Røde add a limiter into this app, which would prevent peaking those audio levels. Had that feature in an old Roland R-05 recorder and it saved my audio a bajillion times over! Especially with guests who don't/can't monitor their own levels or who otherwise are clueless to production.
Also looks like the app records to one unified file, and doesn't record also record for each mic individually? (That's my preference, for ease of editing.)
Good Q! I’ll have to mess around with the app more and see what it does for multiple mic recordings. I def agree about the limiter as well! That would be an awesome and logical effect for the app to have.

Thanks! I don’t have a video on that topic, but you could get a usb-c dock or hub to plug in a bunch of mics at the same time 👍🏼

I agree, RØDE Connect is a huge upgrade to the NT-USB Mini. Almost a RØDECaster Pro killer, provided that you don't want to have an incoming phone-call or use the routing features of the RØDECaster Pro II, for example. But with a simple set up, It's amazing how much money you can save by just using this mic and the software, or even audio filters in OBS which can be a great help for USB mics in general. An excellent piece of software, especially with the APHEX processing. [EDIT]: Yes, the audio quality is excellent also. A great microphone!

Great review, can the mic get hooked onto any boom arm or do I have to buy a specific model? because it seems like the base is too short
Yes - once you take the magnetic base off, there's a boom arm/tripod/etc mounting thread on the bottom of the plastic piece under the mic
Greta video, thanks. Do you happen to know if the NT Mini stores the Limiter and Compressor settings when it’s connected to another computer that doesn’t have the Connect software installed? My Shure MV7 does store the settings but now I’m looking for something portable.
I’m not sure about that, but I’d imagine if it’s hooked up to a computer without Connect installed, it would probably use the default sound settings

Thank you! I used Quicktime to screen record the video, using the Rode mic as a VoiceOver mic in that recording within Quicktime.

Yes, when you press the front volume knob in (it’s a button), it mutes and unmutes your headphone monitor.

Hi there. Thanks for the video. For this video what app have you used to record the voice? I'm don't know why but when I use the Logic Pro X my voice seems to be low. Any recommendation for that? Thanks again.
I used Ableton Live to record the audio. In Logic, try adjusting the mix audio gain until the volume is louder, but not clipping. You could also go into Mac sound settings > input > increase the mic gain.

On my MacBook Air m1 Rode Connect crashes the Audio Input and Output Devise Settings randomly while the App is Not Running. If i deinstall Rode Connect the error is gone. Any other Mac m1 Users with that same issue?

Hell yah! You can record the audio using their built in effects, then drag that file into your video editor

Anyone know why my NT mini stopped working after installing the required newer firmware (2.1.1)? I have had the exact same issue with 2 NT mini's now. With my first NT mini it stopped working right after installing the firmware, I thought I received a faulty product so I shipped it back to the retailer and received a new one. The exact same thing happened after installing the same firmware update. Anyone know about this issue? I can't seem to find anything about it online.

@@b3naqua apparently I can reset it to factory settings using the Rode central software. Haven't had a chance to try this out yet, hopefully this works
