It has so much potential but it's so painful to use, I can't watch back recordings because Connect is controlling my audio, the Discord settings in this video are completely wrong as it just sends all audio to Discord, when I close Connect and restart it I have to reconnect everything from scratch otherwise it doesn't pass any audio, I can't hear anything in my headphones and SLOBS is getting nothing either. Luckily I bought the NT-USB before this came out, but if I had based my decision to buy this because of what Connect features it could, and should, provide then I'd be incredibly disappointed.
Whenever I put my discord voice settings on virtual connect, my friends can hear all my ingame sounds, so if im watching a youtube video, they can hear it as if they are watching it, or if im playing a game they hear the game sounds as if they are playing in. Also I cant get rode connect to work with nvidia shadowplay (geforce experience) either I have no microphone sounds, or no ingame sound. Any common fixes? Also google meet seems to be changing settings by itself.
Have you found a solution to this, this app seems great and would like to replace voicemeter with this when it comes to controlling levels and noise gate, however it doesn't account for average gamers who talk to people in discord, their not gonna want to hear my game. Also whenever i start the app it ALWAYS reconfigures my default audio output TOO the rode connect. So its a lose lose situation with this, i have to have the app open to use it as a microphone, but as soon as i open the app it changes my audio output from my artcis headphones to the rode?
@@ciaranclare848 Set your windows output to System Output first. In theory, selecting this should route all the windows sounds to System Input. But instead, system sounds will be routed to Virtual Input channel. I think this is a bug (or a feature Rode?) Therefore if you select Virtual Input as the input device in Discord, this will result in your friends hearing your windows sound. You should set your Discord input device to System Input. This way, only microphone will be forwarded to Discord and your friend will not hear windows' sound. System Output feeds Virtual Input Virtual Output feeds System Input Stream Output is the sum of all your input channels (Virtual + System + Mic) Hope this helps.

@@alpaslanbek I tried this, but instead of system audio being routed to friends on discord, their own voices are routed back instead (as long as you select Output Device Virtual Output in Discord). The only solution is to not use the virtual channel at all, which makes the feature worthless since you can't control the audio level separately from system audio anymore. Unfortunately it seems this bug is still not fixed.
This sounds like a great software...Will there be support for the normal Rhode NT USB in the future? I have honestly considered moving to Elgato Wave...just for the software.
A worrying phenomenon on Macbook 2020 pro with Ventura is that as long as i use 3 Rode NT mini, everything is fine, but as soon as i connect a 4th, the Rode Connect freezes. I tried two different USB hub, also variations like connecting two into one of the hubs, and two to the other, or connecting 3 into one hub, and one NT mini straight to the mac book, but always the same (Always connected to the crager ofc). If i wait arround 4 minutes, the software comes to life again, but everytime i do somethin, for example press the Listen or Mute button, switch between mix and recording view, or open the preferences, connect stucks again for 4-5 minutes. Before i bought the four NT mini i asked Rode if it's gona be a problem to use the mics with the 2020 pro model, as it have only two USB C connection, but i got the answer there shouldn't be any problem. Luckily i have a PC also, where i hope i can use the four mic without this problem, but it's impossible to drag the pc to the studio everytime we make a recording. I think i'm gona ask rode about this problem, but maybe someone here also have ideas about it.
Where did 'Rode Connect Stream' come from? I don't see that on my Mac's audio devices. And explain the meaning, differences and uses of System and Virtual and now Stream. You guys claim to have 'simplified' this, maybe so, but still very confusing.

Great, could you show how to use Røde Connect and a Audio conference system like Cleanfeed, Riverside, Squadcast, zencastr, etc. Like mix minus and may multi track recoding (backup) in Røde connect? Kind regards
What does the firmware update do? Its nice to see that there is an update but when using on a work computer with no option to install apps im not sure if updating has any gains.
so Rode is going after Elgato. I hope they decide to really go hard on GoXLR with their Rodecaster pro too. So far it is lacking still on the live streaming side. It was created with a podcast emphasis, but I'm sure they can do a lot more to be competitive more.
Thanks for the video! I had a few challenges with this in Zoom: 1. Selecting Virtual Input (RØDE Connect) never gave me any audio into Zoom (neither Mic nor System sounds). I had to select Stream Input (RØDE Connect) to get any sound. So mine is not working like yours, not sure why? 2. When I have RØDE Connect audio coming into Zoom, and play audio from a youtube video, it transmits to Zoom successfully via the System Sounds channel. However, if I got to any music (youtube or on my PC), it somehow does not transmit. Is this some kind of HDCP? 3. Lastly, none of my sound effects transmit from RØDE Connect except for the "Sad Trombone", ironically. If I do another sound during the sad trombone at the same time, it will go through... so it's almost like certain "frequencies" of sound transmit. Please help! Thanks.
I dont get it. If i set it up , there is no Levelmeter. I can hear myself, but i cant adjust it in the green section because there ist no Levelmeter If i select Sytem Output in Windows, i cant here my System audio. i just here myself
