I can't get over how nice you are to all these shows, even when they might not be your thing, I feel like more people need to be like this (it makes the video much more enjoyable to watch)
Thank you! I don't derive much enjoyment from tearing shows apart, so -- well, I don't.
Mahoujin Guruguru was honestly hilarious, should have been given way more attention.
Net-juu no Susume was definitely my anime of the season. I looked forward to every week. Nothing too amazing, just fun.
HEY HEY. I BET 5 DOLLAR THAT HOUSEKI NO KUNI IS GOING TO BE ON CRUNCHYROLLS BEST ANIME.
You're the only Person I've heard talk at all about Konohana Kitan or Children of the whales on UA-cam and you have the same opinion as I do on both lol. Solid analysis and critiquing, happy new year man.
Girls' Last Tour and Recovery of an MMO Junkie are AOTS. And 3-Gatsu still reigns as the best thing around
concise reviews. nice.
Welcome to the ballroom was really good as a character drama (by the nature of it being about a sport that is done in pairs), but my biggest problem is the wasted potential in terms of animation together with music. The animation was great, when they animated a scene, but they never used the actual music they actually danced to and synced it up properly, which is kind of a giant point of a show about ballroom dancing, especially compared to a manga that obviously has only still images and no music. If you take some of the rare great animated sequences out and put in the real ballroom music, that is actually playing in the scenes but nearly never played in the show, and put it together as still images with music it could work better as a modern webtoon with music than it works as an anime the way they decided to do it and that is a shame, because i think there was a good bunch of potential actually there.
I loved girls' last tour and inuyashiki is my aoty. Definitely a really great season!
You missed the opportunity to put the dab on the thumbnail haha
Great video though! I do understand a lot of your opinions, I share a fair portion of them too. I didn't realise there was a yokai underworld anime, though. That's certainly something. I think I've found this season to be the most mixed bag I've had the pleasure of watching. Strange how there was two really good CGI shows this year, which is nice for sure after Berserk. I think I found the Children of the Whales to be the most hyped and disappointing, personally. Lovely art and animation, but that's typically all that carries the show.
Mordred is the most awesome character in Apocrypha, I wish she was in something else.
I liked to save Karna from this trash pile, and maybe Shecspire

In your Juuini Taisen video you say to watch Fate/Zero first , but in your Fate/Stay Night video you say to see this one first ( due to it not being that well animated compared to the rest of the Fate anime ) .
So what is it ?
There are two Fate/stay night series, one from 2006 and one from 2014. In my Juuni Taisen video, I’m talking about the 2014 one. In the other video you watched, I was talking about the 2006 one.
The Fate franchise is complicated.
man i just want to say that girls last tour was certainly the worst anime EVER, why you say?
THE DAB
Inuyashiki was really disappointing to me. When episode 6 aired I completed the manga, and maybe that soured my taste. But adaptation was really meh. Doesn't happen that I didn't appreciate original plot twist with super powers, just drama about old man with social/family problems looked like much interesting angel. It wasn't bad but not good ether.
Made in Abyss?
It’s a summer series? It was in my previous roundup.
Grex oh yeah. You're right lol. Thanks I'll check it out
Personally, I felt that the first season of Kekkai Sensen was far too episodic already; the whole show just felt pointless and superficial to me, as if the only point to it was the admittedly striking visuals. I content, however, that you can't build a show on visuals alone; I also wasn't a fan of the whole "sacrificial maiden" bit in the ending either, so what little plot there was ended up completely alienating me.
All in all; not a good show in my opinion.
All that beautiful art was wasted on Children of Whales; it's a shame, really. I had to bow out of the show when pink hair guy showed up.
