Something she said that is so true is "stop letting your friends convince you of that". Women who can't get men, they are told it must be the men. Men who can't get women, they are told to correct their flaws.

I actually think men aren't told to correct their flaws. They are shamed for them and then told to be themselves which is counter productive to fixing their issues. Women on the other hand have a protective bubble called feminism and cancel culture to dismiss any and all criticism.
I legit got into an argument with a feminist who in one sentence said 'men only want sex' and then shamed me for saying woman were shallow in regards to physical attractiveness when matching with partners on dating apps. Despite having data showing how men are more fair in regards to initial attraction she shamed me for generalizing women yet literally a second before she generalised men.
The saddest thing is their preference for attractive males is the exact reason they think all men want sex. They literally seek out their own predators. Men who got fit, attractive, muscular to have sex with women.
You bring up a mens issue and women always respond with manipulation by flipping the script and changing the topic to be about women's issues - ignoring the mens issue and shaming the male for the woman's issue. Thus creating this dichotomy where vocal women shout out loud, despite being a minority. Which because they're the only one speaking thats the only ideas they hear. So they think they have public support. When in fact just self respecting man wants to engage in such a one sided conversation and is perfectly content letting the wacko scream, shout, and pout, and just date other women with better values.
The lack of critical thinking in modern women is just unbelievable.

And apparently you were too - or she never would've even attained the status of 'ex' in your life.
      I'll never understand it.
What guy would walk into a bar and start bending the ear of the nearest patron about all of the unemployed, couch surfing, restraining ordered, ex con, functioning alcoholic MALE friends in his life...
Without it ONCE ever occurring to him that this stranger next to him has almost certainly IMMEDIATELY drawn some pretty unflattering conclusions about the life of this guy on the stool next to him, too.
And yet month after month these comment threads are FILLED with the 15 and 20 year sagas of men who apparently keep company with NOTHING BUT an endless succession of parasitic harridans in the way of female companionship.
But somehow this fact is NEVER supposed to reflect poorly on the guys that keep choosing this???
I'm 60 something now - married 25 years, two kids, mortgage, college fund, etc. etc.
I had my share of unpleasant break ups during my first 3 plus decades of single life - but NONE of them were due to finding the MERE PRESENCE of my S/O unbearable on an ordinary daily basis - even when we weren't arguing.
Nobody would be surprised to hear me say that I don't have that kind of track record with other guys, either
Hell, MOST OF US DON'T, right? Who in their right mind would sit still for it???
So why in God's name would I subject myself to living under the same roof with the FEMALE version?
And even if I DID make that mistake ONCE - why would I seek out the counsel of an entire YT cohort of people who are apparently in the grip of the same dysfunction more or less continuously?

Unfortunately, feminism, social media and poor parenting have seduced and subtly encouraged many young women into thinking that arrogance is somehow a flex and that humility and self reflection are for "other people" and not themselves. Better to not have these kind of "friends" in your life because, instead of being honest with you when you need to hear hard truths, they will either blow sunshine up your backside with "you go girl" and "manifest that" talk or will drag you down into their emotional holes with them (misery loves company), and in either scenario, they will ultimately not help you positively grow and improve as an individual, friend or GF/wife.
So better to not have "friends" whose default settings are arrogant lack to personal responsibility and deluded beliefs of perpetual victimhood - because such people are typically insufferable, entitled and lack empathy and will likely end up alone, bitter and clueless as to why everyone is "intimidated by their greatness." 🤷

I had to tell my partner 2 or 3 times to catch her because she could empty some wine in the sink to cheat us. Or, I give him my credit card to go alone close the rental contract of a motorcycle and he’s not able to bring back the receipt. He said they didn’t give him anything. So we went back to the office together and the first reaction of the personal is to say «Oh yes, you left, you forgot your receipt ! »

I asked why she liked the guy, and she rattled off a long string of very positive attributes. I then asked how many other men she was dating at the time, and she said, "Four, but this is the guy I really want."
And I had to say, "He didn't get that message if you were dating four other men. And men can tell when some woman is running them in rotation."
Low value men will allow themselves to be run that way. High value men will not. They won't waste their time with low value women, and when they find a high value woman, she'll get their undivided attention. If they don't get that in return, ladies, expect to be ghosted. And don't kid yourself that you intimidated any of them.

You trade your time for money and it’s a fair trade. Corporations understand that. Low level companies don’t understand it because they’re usually losing money until they get their stuff together and they don’t want to afford to lose employees. When they do, they do because of low benefits. Big corporations keep their employees with nice benefits, not by forcing them to stay.

The point being, as passionate as we could get, we were still able and willing to be reasonable and listen to the other person. We had an understanding that the issue at hand wasn't the other person, it was the subject we were talking about. We didn't take things personally, we were objective, and hence could afford to be open and honest.

Very much such so. I've dated some attractive and successful women (relative to my area) the last couple years, but when they create unnecessary drama or conflict, I'm out. Then they pull the, "A relationship is work" card. Yeah, a relationship is work, but not 1 month in it's not. There are times of work, but peace should be the base of your relationship. I'm in a new relationship now with a beautiful woman with very old fashioned, gender role based beliefs. The type where, I was cooking for her last night and it was driving her nuts that I was the one cooking and she was standing there talking and not working. She's no coward or doormat, just very level headed, down to earth, a nurturer and knows that very thing - That peace isn't just critical for your relationship, but your own mental health that can really drive your entire attitude. I've never met someone I meshed with so quickly with because her presence and demeanor is so calming. Probably why she's a therapist who works with specific mental health patients LOL. This is obviously far easier to come by for me in my 40s than a guy in his 20s. I really feel bad for the younger guys at this point (not to excuse them of their own short comings of being socially awkward, generally having no balls or know how to properly court women, and then slander the entire gender because of the bad apples). Courtney has her target audience, but the dysfunction of relationships is a 2 way street. I think it's a chicken and egg debate: Which came first, did men stop being real men first or did entitled, unrealistic women create these men? The feminist extremism of the last several years most certainly did a lot of damage.

It's all about setting boundaries and expectations for what people are willing to discuss and what's off the table, that's the key. I have to do that with everyone because personally there's absolutely nothing I won't talk about, but I know that isn't the case for most others, therefore I have to find out what they're willing to talk about and what's not open for discussion, then I have to file that information away so I don't broach those subjects.

One may be a spender who'd rather travel than save for retirement and the other prioritizes security over adventure. Anecdotal, but I've never seen the "have a headache" BS as a real problem. Lack of desire for sex is rarely the issue, it's the underlying reason for why, which is unresolved problems. The guy can't disrespect her, stop being a gentleman, or stop being romantic and expect the woman to want to bang him all the time. The love and thoughtful gestures can't stop just because you get married. It's also not just a man thing to not be able to talk rationally and compromise when you're butting heads, women are every bit as stubborn at times. Those type of things are why people stop having sex, not because no one is horny, but because you have bigger issues in the relationship.

My honest opinion is that you were pussy-whipped. And I'm not saying that as a put down, it's just how I see it.
You put such a high value on sex with her that you simply let go of everything else and let her be the 'man in charge' because you didn't want to risk her saying "ok, no more sex for you".
Therefore, since women can rarely make up their mind and stick to something no matter what, you found yourself in a situation where she kept changing things around constantly and always being unsatisfied by the outcome of her decisions and choices, and blaming you for it.
And that ultimately led to the break up because you could never "man up" (she probably even said that at some point).

“In love affairs a woman is more barbarian than a man.”
“The true man wants two things: danger and play. For that reason he wants woman, as the most dangerous plaything.”
―Friedrich Nietzsche, esteemed "laughing lion" German philosopher
Courtney, an invisible hand of applause for your radiant beauty as well as of stylistic art appreciation from a new US subscriber--though 'm sure you receive many compliments on your sleek lush hair and hypnotic jaguar eyes

On the key issues you address about modern dating, we need only look to the past to find the ideal way a woman should interact with a man for long term endearing relationship.
Only 3 rules and a woman will attract a man of gravitas and substance.
      1. SILENCE IS GOLDEN. if modern women could just in general stop the constant barista like voice chatter and the soap opera drama and chatter. Silence, and listen to your man. Don't bother him at work, take interest in his field and then let the man in peace with only brief interludes of pleasant conversation revolving around music, art, puzzles, humour, and perhaps show an interest in say the UFC and ask him what he thinks of Tom Aspinal the new UFC HW champion, and watch his interest go sky high for you. He will recognize the beauty of your heart even if lady does not possess the radiant beauty of Courtney. Then. leave the man alone and set a date for a movie or romantic dinner. BUT Silence and no empty barista banter or annoying talk.
      2. Learn to listen and play the music of Jimmy Buffett, Blake Shelton, Journey, and Dierks Bentley and maybe Hank Williams Junior with a dash of Beethoven and Chopin for classical music. Listen to music and also learn to play poker with your man or at least understand poker or chess and include if possible a family game night. Make the relationship as easy and relaxed yet inspired as listening to the Jimmy Buffett song Margaritaville while walking down a romantic beach with your man where only the sounds of the ocean are in play. And the woman is silenttttttttttt!!!
      3. Don't forget rule number 1 or 2!!!!!!!!!!!!
Only 3 rules, and the natural chemistry of a man and woman can then flourish in a bungalow like room where only the sounds of the wind caressing the palm trees are heard as well as two hearts beating as one as a couple find true, endearing love through SILENCE and soft lush pillows!!!!!!!!!!!

I also know (mostly becuase I'm reminded everyday) of my own short comings and know that I have work to do. Too many women today have this mentality that they are perfect and that it's always the man thats the problem yet the grand majority don't see that they are also the problem. This might not be the healthiest thing but in all the relationships I've had, I try to drill it into the girl I'm dating that she also has a hand in the relationship failing and let her know what she's doing wrong. I cannot trust that most girls' friends will tell them the truth because the majority of them will just hype each other up.

The reason my wife and I have been in a happy marriage for approaching 20 years is that we approaches it with a team mentality. It is all about what makes BOTH of us happy, not just one individual. If she wants to do something but detects it might not be my thing, she will not unilaterally decide she’ll do it, no matter how much I may not like it. Not taking your partner for granted goes miles in a relationship. It shows kindness, love, and most importantly, RESPECT for your other! If you’re acting like a Boss Babe (or Boss Man), it’s not a relationship, it’s simply all about YOU! No partnership survives without the active participation of BOTH involved parties.

I’ve always heard the “they’re intimidated by you” because I’m shy. I hardly say anything. I think in reality, there might be some of that because people don’t often know what I’m thinking, so maybe they’re thinking that I’m thinking the worst things when I’m not? But I also think I’m just not seen because I’m often in the background and am too shy to put myself in the spotlight or even put myself out there. But the people who know me see my wild and more carefree side and come to me for advice because while I don’t speak a lot, I observe a lot and can apply that to try to help people. My shyness is something I’m trying to work on, but the past rejections from when I was more social and open always have their way of coming back to haunt me. It’s slow going, but I’m trying. I hope you can overcome shyness but I know how hard it is. When every slight negative social interaction feels like a massive step back, when every negative person you encounter makes you second guess yourself. Shit's hard but you gotta remember that there are a good amount of socially maladjusted people out there and it most likely wasn't your fault.

Hey Courtney! I love the direction of your channel. I am a 58 year old man who is married to the same woman for 38 years, and I have had multiple careers, and currently my wife works from home as a Senior Analyst for a major company while I take care of our farm. (Over the years we've flipflopped roles of who has been the primary breadwinner at one time or another depending on who is going back to school, etc). We have raised many children, adopted one, and helped raise children from other families too that are all successful and now we have a number of grandchildren around the world. My wife is amazing and I thank God for her every day. We are a team, and support each other -- we depend on one another and have our whole life. I would be less than honest if I said we have not had a number of ups and downs, good years and bad, rough patches and such. I've had to work hard to speak "woman" and understand her better all these years -- and the difference is that I married a real WOMAN. I told my wife she can never die, because from my perspective, most of the folks out there in the world are narcissistic little girls and boys that may be chronologically 30 or40 but they think they are so special because they have advanced degrees, can win at video games, and can chat on twitter, facebook, and all of that simultaneously but they have no ability to make real friends or understand real hard work or teamwork (The LEGO song "Everything is Awesome" is not just a song!) because they are a bunch of functionally helpless prima donnas. Finding mature, compassionate, selfless, deep thinking, team players that want to build a family and grow together and support one another is becoming more and more rare these day because the boys and girls of today (regardless of age) are only concerned with what "I" want. "I" never makes relationships. If girls and boys don't want to wake up in their 50s and still be alone, they need to snap out of their fantasies of how great they are (the Tic Toc people are cringeworthy because none of them are hot or sexy but just sad and disgustingly desperate and delusional) and start thinking about "we" -- or just decide to marry their cat and dog and settle down.
Oh and as far as high maintenance -- I've taken my wife out to the most amazing places around the world -- but her preferred place to be would be at home knitting while I read books to her like the Shadow and Bone series or Discovery of Witches series (the books are infinitely better) or some Jack Reacher action books out loud (over coffee or tea); and given her gifts like jade from Thailand and gold from Turkey, but what really says love to her is when I surprise her with (get ready for it ) -- bags of dirt -- topsoil for her greenhouse. Yep.... after all these years, to find that one of the ways to her heart was to get her more high quality dirt.....I should have started sooner!

"Women don't really hold themselves or each other accountable." - most underrated statement Courtney makes.
Men are supposed to handle their own trauma and their own emotions. Women are not: they are encouraged to seek someone to soothe them and affirm them.
Men are supposed to be completely secure with a woman being exactly who they are, and seek not to alter them. Women, via hypergamy, are encouraged to ensure that the value of her man is rooted in what he can do for her. He must be strong. He must be enviable. He must provide resources in excess of what she makes. He needs to be her therapist, her bankroll, her bodyguard, her waitstaff, her manual labor.
She needs only to be herself.
When he does wrong, other men around him are supposed to correct him, and he is required to correct men who do wrong. He is a good man if he submits to the self-policing men do for their own gender (knowing we are judged solely by the worst of our number) and polices other men who do wrong.
She is always a good woman even if she engages in bad behaviors. Another woman will validate and affirm that she is right in what she is doing. Holding another woman accountable is social suicide for any woman.

I broke things down for her and pointed out that multiple issues that they were facing were by no means the fault of the boyfriend but rather the fault from both or sometimes even from her. Here's a simple litmus test: ask yourself if you would be prepared to date yourself? Would you put up with your own attitude? Would you find yourself insufferable? If a person (female or male) falls short of the standards of behaviour that they would expect of others why the hell do you expect others to tolerate them in you? Building a successful relationship poses many challenges (having been married for more than 20 years I speak from a position of some experience), so to start from a weak and volatile foundation is to have zero chance of success.

    • @mobilemcsmarty1466
      @mobilemcsmarty1466 Рік тому +3

I'm with you about the test. I also have similar experience. mine is approaching 20 years of marriage ..and also approaching divorce, her choice. so absolutely that's what my younger self did by asking first- would I date myself? with the exception that my date must be female that's exactly how I guided my life and my relationships. you know, despite the impending breakup I don't expect to change this strategy and behavior despite that it didn't guarantee forever. I have no regrets. I think it's too much to demand of your partner to be rich, famous, both, or satisfy the ultimate never-ending demand- expect them to change to your liking. it's a couple of "nots" that are reasonable to expect- not a burden, not have poor hygiene, not be abusive, not be a drama queen. and some affirmatives- honesty, and affection. that's what I ask of my partner because that's what I deliver 24/7 ..more too as a can or wish but that's at my choice. after that, should you want fame or fortune, go get it yourself 😎

I've dated women that were high maintenance and a little too ambitious for a comfortable reality as well as down to earth women that struggled with debt and familial issues, but it was never about how much money they made or how together they had their lives. All I really wanted in a relationship was a friendship, a team to make the best of what we had, and someone that would challenge me to be a better person while also having an open enough heart/mind to share in similarities. Sure, I'm intimidated at times, but it's not about feeling like I could be lesser than someone because they "look like a ten" while I'm some average joe or because they would easily be the breadwinner able to pay more bills in a timely manner. The intimidation factor only applies when the vibe they give seems to point toward a more entitled position that should likely be a red flag, but being an easy going guy that is eclectic enough to be friendly to all types of humans I tend to ignore the flags in hopes maybe I can (at the very least) make a new friend with a foot in a different world than what is normal in my life. I'm always seeking new adventures, skillsets, knowledge, and expanding my tastes in all that is possible with what little time I have on this mortal coil. So am I intimidated by someone being so different or "out of my league"? Not directly, it's all about the personality that determines the level of confidence or intimidation in my approach. Confidence is sexy, but entitlement is the opposite. My personal two cents anyway.

Honestly, watching red pill content and watching men talking about women, it made me more open to some toxic behaviors that I had. You are so right when you say that men want different things than women. Also us, women, don't always bring up problems in a healthy ways. I realized that nagging and bitching is not how you get through to a man. My man doesn't always care about the same things that I care about and that's okay!
I can't tell you how much just small changes that I made in my own behavior to prioritize our relationship and our peace made a significant changes that helped my relationship thrive.
Also taking more accountability and learning not to take all criticize from my man as a direct insult was so helpful;. I also stopped being so argumentative and aggressive when things didn't go my way and made a conscious effort to compromise and even other solutions. My man is so happy now and so am I.

@@eveliinahannele He is more affection and appreciative in general. He wants to spend more time with me and less time watching TV or playing on his phone.
Now, when I bring up things that might be bothering me, I wait several days until I am calm and collected about whatever I wanna talk about. He is more responsive to me that way. Instead of things spiraling into an argument, now he tries to figure out a solution with me and no one is getting offended. I realized that I already have a sorta loud voice and when I get emotional or passionate about something, my voice starts to raise without me even realizing it. Then, he felt as though I was trying to yell at him instead of speak to him. Once he felt like I was yelling, he would get argumentative back and that's when the arguing would happen. That's not happening anymore.
My man has a pretty stressful job since he is responsible for more than 50 people as a boss in his company (Plus he makes the majority of the money and pays the majority of the bills without ever complaining). When he gets home, he just wants to relax. My job is not a very stressful job and pretty easy the majority of the time. I started taking the time to do more cleaning, tidying, and making more homemade meals (instead of using excuses), I noticed that he comes home excited about what's for dinner, he is more affectionate like immediately coming home and asking me about my day and giving me a big hug and a kiss. He is just excited to come home and spend time together. Because we are getting along better, we have more sex which makes us both pretty happy. I have also made sure that even if I don't really wanna have sex, that I pleasure him because he does work hard and I want to make him happy. All of those things combined have really changed the whole feeling and tone of the house. Everything is more relaxed.
Its hard to explain and as I am typing this, I was thinking well this doesn't seem like that big of a difference, but just the two of us being more happy, less likely to argue, content in our home with little no tension in the house is so amazing. I feel happier by making him happy and then, he does the same things for me. He has been more likely to get into some of my hobbies so that we can do them together (I like musicals), he finally has started taking me to musicals and makes plans ahead of time to go. He wants to read together because he knows I love to read, so he wants to read so that we can discuss books together. Just a bunch of little things.

The arrogance and highly materialistic expectations of both sexes in North America, and doubtless Australia, New Zealand, the UK and western Europe, is the ruination of more relationships than I can shake a stick at. Marriage is a lifelong partnership, _whatever_ may happen to you as a married couple! You should never view your husband or your wife as someone you will heave overboard just because times get rough or someone "better" comes along. If that is how any person is, do not marry them!
