I laughed when my mother in law pulled aside my sister in law, who she knew to be having marital trouble and asked her if she was making herself available to her son . Fortunately my wife must have subconsciously taken this on board and I can count on one finger the times I have been refused in nearly 40 years of marriage. To me if a spouse is withholding sex then they have to go because it will only get worse and more often .
Though never faced with a partner who was not interested in sex as much as I was, I have thought for some time, that if faced with such a prospect, I would give the lady one chance to smarten up, then leave like instantly - if she showed no interest or it was clear, it was a chore for her. Life is too short to be in such a relationship.
What a waste of my time, women cant change. Living in a bubble helped by me stepping back and trying to be the best husband was a disaster. No empathy, no romance, no sex, no touching,....... And this is fine from her bubble
Marriage is a sexual contract. No sex is grounds for a divorce. That is one of the main reasons I divorced my wife. With the way modern women are now I am MGTOW for life!
Marriage vows include -With my body I thee worship. That is a promise, a legal contract. If the bride makes this declaration, then renegs, this is fraudulent. She has broken one of the conditions of the contract.
So the person being denied physical intimacy is the cause of the withholding partner denying them. Some times the resentment happens after years of being shut out and denied. Yes, it is a slippery slope once you disengage to avoid the rejection and hurt, the more "justification" the withholder has to continue to deny intimacy, and the wheel keeps going around until one of you dies, or you divorce.
I showed my wife compassion and understanding for 3 years, it's only when I told her I was thinking about divorce that she then realised that me divorcing her would ruin her life, all of a sudden she wanted to start working on things. The previous 3 years hadn't affected her at all. They had me , though! The woman put me through hell, She didn't care about that at all. Women only care about their children and their own feelings, that's it.

Well my wife arbitrary decided to end our sex life four years ago, without my input or knowledge. She lied repeatedly while I chased moving goalposts. I forced individual and marriage counseling, which she obsfucated and stonewalled through. I tried to leave no stone unturned to heal our marriage. I am almost done with preparation on my exit strategy. Just a few more things before I have her served with divorce papers. I tried to love and care for someone who is incapable of loving or receiving love.
Me, I would move out straight away, after giving her one chance to smarten up. Life is much too short to put up with this nonsense. I do understand you probably had to have certain legal processes in place to protect your assets and lawful interests, but this I would do right from the start such as put my assets into a family trust to which the partner was not a beneficiary. This would take place before any commitment to the new partner. Trouble is, us men are not told this mostly cos our own parents were not told this and did not know to advise us on such matters.
You absolutely can and will change everyone you come in contact with during your lifetime. This could be for better or worse and it does not mean that you will change them into who you think they should be. The way this will be accomplished is through genuine honesty, self-acceptance then maturity and LOVE! Everyone is different than you and grasping this is the first sign of real maturity. If your partner is not ready for this, then you show respect and love them anyway. You say "Thank you for everything and I am glad we had the opportunity to learn the lessons we did".
