    Boat is unbelievable. Im 5 ft 7"- 155 and I love this boat!! I wanted the 120, but the 106 for my fishing is perfect. She covers large lakes and resevoirs, on a 100 amp hr, Amped outdoors lithium battery, that'll last all day. They're complete fleet is in a different league. I waited 8 month's for mine. Well worth it! 🙏 😎 🎣

    Just picked up the 106Mk. I’m fired up! Bought it for the smaller footprint compared to the Autopilot. I’ll still be able to paddle it in some non motorized lakes I fish. Plus, I can toss it around quite easily although it’s a heavy beast.

    Cool video for sure. I have the 136 I pilot which is amazing. Plus I got it brand new with some shipping scratches for 2500 out the door.
    If they would have had a 106 I might have bought it. Mine is a beast and paddling is almost not an option.
    Still would be nice to have the peddle option but like you said the spot lock is game changing.

      The Xi3 was worth every penny and turns an already great kayak into a higher level. The problem I had with the stock motor was weeds . I fish in small weed choked lakes in Ohio and it’s a struggle to raise the motor through the narrow opening . I did however have to put one way scupper plugs in the deck because of the added 40 # weight on the bow

    Thank you for this review! I'm seriously thinking of this kayak over all others.
    One question though: In this video, when you're showing the battery meter, I can read 'Meter Not Compatible With Lithium Ion Batteries', but you are using just that - the Dakota Lithium 12v 100AH.
    Any issues with that? The battery meter is incredibly handy, so I'd hate to be without such a nifty feature. Ideally, I would go with that same battery too.
    I do hope you reply here on this. Thank you in advance!

    • @hyper.orange
      @hyper.orange  2 роки тому +1

      Yea so the battery reader only works with lead acid because the power slowly goes down where with lithium the battery will do 100% power until it dies! So unfortunately the reader doesn't read lithium. But honestly the battery just lasts for so long, I never have an issue! Never killed it and been out for 8 plus hours! Also depends how you use it (fighting wind, always full throttle, etc) I still highly recommend both products :)

    can this thing be efficient just cruising up streams and rivers? does the prop come out fast enough in shallow water? i dont really kayak fish but want to start, but want something to paddle and motor up streams

    • @hyper.orange
      @hyper.orange  Рік тому

      It can fight current pretty good. It only needs a foot of water to be okay. Also you can pop it up right away. I love paddeling too but when your tired or don't want too, the motor is amazing!

      @@hyper.orange is it hard to paddle? the guy at old town said a salty or big water would be better for paddling down and up streams. but damn I want to invest in the old town even just to chill on the water lol

      So I alway have an emergency paddle on the side. It’s definitely a heavy Kayak, but doable it also depends on how much gear you have. Regardless, I bought it for the Motor so I’m using the motor 99% of the time.
      You can also set it up with no motor, no battery and they give you an insert floor for the motor hole. Making it a normal paddle kayak. So it’s pretty versatile with how you rig it. I really depends what you want out of it. Having the motor has got me to places so much farther, places I would never go with just a paddle. It just depends eh!

      @@hyper.orange yeah the creek river i usually run goes right into a lake within 2 miles so the motor would be awesome!!!!!

      The motor is so great! You can use 50% power and make it last forever! They say low power with the right battery can go 20 hours! Ive been out muliple 8 hours days with still juice to go, using a lot of full throttle. I really do love this motor kayak combo!

      Inflation, etc. I bought mine in early 2020 and now in 2023 prices went up like everything else! Also over the years there has been more demand.
