Anytime Medivac is called to a scene you know it is serious or life threatening. I had one called on me in 2006 when I was involved in an accident. Till this day I still can not remember anything of the wreck or ride in the heli. I sure hope this kid has recovered.
@@viv_dumbb Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for healing the player and helping the medical team treat him and gave them knowledge to save his life. Amen.🕊️🙏
back in 1997 I was play high school football and get serious injury had to rush t hospital in helicopter. My knee bone was stick though and bleed unable to stop. I remember all of it. This bring my memory back
I got to ride to the hospital in a squad with my son after he received a concussion in the last game he ever played in. Today he has an MBA and is a data analyst for one of the largest companies in the U.S. Football is a great learning experience for kids, but not sure it's worth the risk.
I'm not sure what the protocol is in that county, but where I am, a Medivac or Life-flight pick up is serious stuff. It means you have to get the patient to a trauma center ASAP and it means an ambulance ride would take longer than a ride in the chopper. My guess is because the kid couldn't answer the basic questions (whats your name, where are you, whats your birthday, what day is it) he met the criteria to be airlifted. I hope he pulled through.
Very possible that the nearest Hospital is a long way, and the area is rural. My experience has been the same, and any potential life threatening injury would go via AeroMed if it would take longer to get there VIA ground.
@@avenue8822 Yes. Where I am its a checklist that results in either an amnulance ride or a medivac lift. One of my guys was medivac'd and it saved his life. So, I am partial to stabilize on scene and transport rather than scoop and go.
It was in Rural Tennessee and the nearest Trauma center by ambulance is a couple hours away. The Helicopter would have had him to the hospital before the "Golden Hour" A K.A. the critical hour expired

Air Medivac for a concussion? Where I’m from, it’s critical and serious things. For example, we get a call for a motorcycle accident VS car with multiple PIV (Personal Injury Victims) dispatch/ county automatically puts LifeLink Air on standby and automatically dispatches them if they get more information. The nearest hospital in this video must be far if they flew him out for a concussion.
i watched this about 9 times and i think if you pay attention you can see the qb right after he throws it he gets rocked sp i think hes the ome that got the head injury but the keen injury i xan see what it is its 1 or 3 things a dislocated patella also know as the (kneecap), or a torn mcl or a torn patella ligament
Yeah definitely something with his legs. And at the beginning of the video you can see possibly trainers going to the red and white teams sideline to there bench.
A similar thing happpened to my brother he accidentally swallowed a quarter and had to be airlifted to a hospital and the only reason hes alive is because the quarter landed sideways
the cocke county football player was the one taken in the helicopter due to a severe concussion! the football player with the knee injury, limping, was the cherokee player and he was most likely going to sit out or have an adult take him to the hospital! his knee injury was not as severe as the concussion!
oh my god yall literally watched thirty seconds of this saw someone get hurt and are flooding the comments with "what happened?!" at about 3:00 minutes an ENTIRELY DIFFERENT player received a concussion.
Most likely took a tackle that either slammed his head violently to the ground, or a tackle to the helmet. Meaning his neck and head were hit and not his torso
I was kind kind of confused at first, because it looked like he tweaked his knee and leg, but after I thought about it I remember learning at one point that you can get a concussion without directly hitting your head. If it is like an extreme blow to any part of your body then it could possibly cause a concussion without you actually hitting your head.
A concussion is your brain hitting the walls of your skull which can be caused by a whiplash effect or simply your body going from moving to sudden stop and your brain doesnt. Your brain inside your skull basically jiggles like jello so it doesnt stop moving when your skull/head stops; it bounces off in the continued motion it was going in. You dont have to hit your head on anything to get a concussion. I hope this answered your question.
@@KiraCLisleso yes that is the case but a concussion is caused by the front and back of your brain hitting back to back at a rapid pace its not just when your moving then stops the brain keeps moving like if you were to shale your head you would probably get a little head pain or discomfort but thats just your bain rattling at a slow pace for you to get a concussion it needs to be a fast motion coming to and instant stop then it rattles pretty fast. and he was hit on the play by what i see on the video is the qb or someone on the right side of the screen has someone on the black team basically diving into there head so thats what caused the major head injury. so yea you are right but wrong im just helping you and giving more information to your comment

it can be dangerous if played incorrectly. If you tackle with good form you shouldn't be too bad off. also its not very deadly. I only know of a handful of deadly incidents from football and that was because of bad coaching decisions.
this is very offensive to me cause i’m a cherokee playing seminole war song that’s a our other tribal songs please take this down it’s offensive making fun of my tribe and the seminole tribe
Wrong. The music honors the Native American people. Towns and states have Native American names and schools have Native American mascots to honor the native peoples.
the music and names are to remind those unaware of the Native American history. the Native Americans would be upset that they are never "recognized" if NOTHING was ever mentioned of them. i didnt realize how many different tribes there were until i moved to Apple Valley, CA with their Native American named streets. so I'M offended by NOT having the names and music.
Having things named after native americans/native american things is different from playing a war song (if that is what is playing, im not sure because im potawatomi not seminole). You can honor and pass on the knowledge of native american history without using something that represents the suffering of natives. As long as you use it correctly and it doesnt offend the native people (i dont know if the rest of the people commenting on this are native american or not but im going based off the guy who said he is seminole). We dont need non natives telling us what is and isnt offensive. If you arent native or dont have a background in studying native history then you shouldnt have a say in what things are offensive and what are respectful to the native culture and people.
Funny thing is u don't have to play dirty for some one to end up hurt badly. I know from my times watch high school foot since I was in middle school and can't tell u how many times a player was severely injured that wasn't a hard hit that the helicopter or paramedics had to be called in.
