What I love about Dimebag Darrell is he never forgot where he came from, who got him there, and why he was there in the first place which was to rock and have a good time above all else. A true dude.

He was a drunk bastard 100% of the time, but he truly had a heart of gold. The dude loved people. Never heard a bad story about the guy. So glad I was able to meet and have some words with him and Vinnie back in the day.
The best thing about Dime is that if you saw him on the street and you didn’t know who he was, you would never know he was the greatest guitar player in one of the best metal bands of all time. Dude was so down to earth, cool as fuck, drank all the time, and humble. RIP to the GOAT we miss and love you every single day
Besides being so talented, he was such a great guy... I never get tired of watching Dimebag! Almost 20 years gone, but he's still a regular part of my life.
I love Dimebag Darrell and Vinnie Paul because Dimebag's one of my favorite guitar players and Vinnie Paul's one of my favorite drummers and they're very funny. God, rest their souls.
I could cry watching this…I discovered Pantera and became a fan one year after Dimebag died and we will never see what music he could have made after that. It’s been 18 years of crying for me. I cried when I learned the story at age 13 and I still feel intense pain about it at 31. RIP to one of the best geniuses of all time, and one of the best musicians of all time.
I had the honor of meeting Dime and Rex at the Mid Hudson Civic Center in 1995. He was such a nice guy!!! I wish there were smart phones back then so I would have gotten pictures. I got his autograph and the awesome memory of meeting them both...Dime and Vinnie are very badly missed...😢
Met Vinnie in Hampton, Va in 96 on the Trendkill tour. 100% good dude. Got his autograph on a pack of 1.5 rolling papers. He got a good laugh out of that.
Got to meet him and the rest of Pantera in 97 at Tower records after the Trendkill album dropped. Definitely the most humble person to meet and the life of the party. RIP dime and Vinnie.
RIP to not only the greatest metal guitar player in history, but to one of the greatest guys you'll ever meet. The absolute last person on this planet who you'd think would be taken from us. Thank you for inspiring every metal head born after 1990
Doesn't really seem like he had much of an ego he just did his thing with his brother, and that was good enough for him. Always a legend in my book and an all-around great guy. ❤️🔥
It's always a good day to see Lords Dime and Vinnie Paul 333!!!🤘🏿😎👹🎸 Helllll Yeah!!! Getcha Pull 🥃🍻🥃!!!...🤘🏿😔Rest in power and Thank you...I will never forget!Getcha Pull 🥃-Cheers 🍻
Saw both bands he put a pick in my hand at the damageplan show at a small bar in Jackson Mississippi also have about 7 pantera/damageplan related tattoos really luved those guy's
I never was into Pantera, I am actually "too young" ( 31 lmao ) to have whitnessed all this conciouslly but holy goddamn shit man, I know about Dimebag and what happend through Machine head and Robb and his Stories and just got into it more and more but that man it doesn't just seem like it but it is that we truly lost a Gem of a Human. Sadly missed no matter if you like the Music or not. What a genuine authentic Human.
i'm 18, and a few years ago i would've thought pantera was corny or cliche... i honestly believe any metalhead can get into pantera, as long as they are exposed to the right songs...
I met and hooked up with him im 1985 in San Antonio. Pantera was a glam rock band at a rock bar in SA, Rocky's. Just remember drinking age was 19 and I was 19 and Darrell was 18. He went by Diamond Darrell back then. He gave me some hot pink guitar picks with Diamond Darrell on them. He was really cute with long hair and blue eyes. The band had a sheet with painted letters PANTERA as backdrop on stage. Those were the days. Met his brother back in 2017 in Vegas at the Carnaval Court bar at Harrah's. Sad to hear they both are gone.
The last clip of the cassette where Dime talks about EVH, Randy Rhoads! They knew each other back then. How cool would that have been just to hang around them! Way too much fun!!
Legend… Miss Dime so much… Imagine what he’d be ripping up right now if he were still here. All hilarious content he would put out with social media would be gold. lol
i'd sacrifice my own life to bring dimebag darrel back. idc if i wont be here to here his awesome guitar playing. just wish he was still around laughin and makin others laugh and shredding badass riffs
My ex boyfriend used to live down the street from Dime in the 80's. He told me that he would see Dime walking down the street all the time. Dime even used to go into a record store that his cousin owned. I have the picture of it.
What I love about Dimebag Darrell is he never forgot where he came from, who got him there, and why he was there in the first place which was to rock and have a good time above all else. A true dude.
That's why Dime to me.....will truly always be one of a kind not only musically....but personality and just Madd originality 🤘🏻
Funny considdering he disowned his 80s albums. Also the accent's fake.
Where You Come From's timeless, sucks that He couldnt follow up RTS

@@jeremysiron9622 True grit.
@@jeremysiron9622 I remember Zakk said in an interview that Dime could barely hold a guitar without a drink in him.
Yeah recently met people that knew him and they only have good things to say about the dude. Sweetest guy and a great host
Just a cool fkn dude that just happened to be an amazing guitar player.

Lucky ass, I was only 2 when he died and he’s my guitar idol
I had tickets to see them with Black Sabbath. But Ozzy got drunk and canceled 😊
had the most fun at a Pantera concert
Miss watching Dimebag play....I would never get tired of him
My dad saw him in the Glamtera days shortly after he, my aunt's and uncles and grandparents moved to Texas.
The father, Jerry Abott, has passed at the age of 80. Thank you Mr. Abott, and thank you Dime and Vinnie.
God rest your souls.
When did Jerry pass away - I mean date of his passing? I make it a memorial day for myself
@mikakettunen7939 You can find it on Google. It was months ago, and he passed in Denton, TX.
When was this?
I literally feel blessed to have seen Pantera live. RIP Vinnie and Dime.
