- If you are wondering how both of the fuel pumps are replaced in a Dodge Magnum, Dodge Challenger, Dodge Charger, or Chrysler 300, then this video is for you!
The vehicle in the video is an 07 dodge magnum.
After a while the plastic gets brittle and it may lead to fuel leaks. This is what happened in this case.

Great video! I followed your instructions and saved myself money doing it myself. Hardest part was trying to remove the lock rings with a hammer and punch. I should’ve had ordered the lock ring tool on Amazon for $18 and would have saved so much time. I don’t know how you filmed this with one free hand, that was badass. Again, great video!
I really appreciate the comment bro! I’m glad I was able to help you out! I hear ya those rings can be tough sometimes! 💯 take care, have a good one! 💯💯🤝
Good video. My Magnum R/T has 200k miles on it so I'm sure I'll be joining this party soon enough. I would imagine that the passenger side pump is just a transfer pump since the gas tank is in two parts, with the driveshaft going through the middle 😒. The vehicle would still run with the driver's side pump but you would only have access to half of the tank's volume and would probably need to keep it topped off.
Thanks for the comment bro, I appreciate it! Good luck with your Magnum when the time comes. 💯🤝
Great video, helped me a lot
Thanks bro! Appreciate your comment 💯💯🤝
I filled my gas tank and noticed the leak the next day but it stopped....did.you continue to till the tank was low?
Hello bro! This sounds similar to my problem. It leaked when it was full but once it wasn’t full it wouldn’t leak anymore! Good luck with your vehicle!! 💯💯🤝
@@colin7761 thanks bro...just to clarify you were able to still drive it after the leak stopped and didn't have it never leaked again even after the next fill up?
@@dre-p954 I had to replace the fuel pumps to fix the problem as the old ones got brittle and cracked. That is what caused the leak. If you don’t replace what is leaking, then it will always leak when the tank is full.
@@colin7761 gotcha thanks for clarifying bro and keep up the great content!
Appreciate the comments bro! Down to help anytime. 💯💯
Throwing a po305 engine just shut off while on a drive to San Diego wasn’t getting charge changed battery and alternator trouble starting but starts easier it’s a 5.7 but sounds like it got a a blower on it doesn’t sound right think it’s fuel pump?
Sounds like your alternator is bad bro, especially if you hear a whining noise. After getting the charging system fixed, clear codes. Test drive. If p0305 returns it means cylinder 5 has a misfire. I’d start with checking the spark plugs afterwards if that code continues. It’s possible that low battery power can cause codes so fix the alternator/ charging issues first, then go from there. Good luck with your car bro! 💯💯🤝

Good video. I just got a 05 that's got the same leak on the passenger side... I was thinking about just replacing the o ring and only dealing with the pump if I had to, and leave the other pump alone.... But after watching this I'm just going to change both of them. What brand pump did you install?
Thanks for the comment bro! Thats a good decision to just replace both. After I diagnosed the leak and discovered the cracking, I also decided to replace both sides, especially because both sides have to come apart in order for the passenger one to be replaced by itself. The brand I used is A-premium, I ordered it off of Amazon, they’ve worked good so far and no issues! Take care bro and feel free to comment any other questions 💯💯🤝
I just got the driver side fuel pump replaced but after my fuel gauge is at half a tank after I tried filling it back up? I have two codes coming up for P0463 and P2068 fuel level sensor circuit high A and B! I’m wondering is the new fuel pump or do I have to change out the passenger side as well or do the driver side come with the sending unit because I believe mines did but idk if it’s just for the driver side please answer back need answers?
Hey bro! Was the gauge working fine before? Why was the fuel pump replaced? Yes, the driver side has the main sending unit. 💯💯🤝
@@colin7761 Yes it was working fine before and it was replaced because my car would turn on but wouldn’t crank over and when they diagnosed it, it was the fuel pump but I forgot that there’s two so I just replaced the main one on the drivers side!
@@DapperYudid it run just replacing the one ?
@@williebeaman3240 yes it ran but on the gauge cluster the fuel gauge would only go up to the halfway even when full but they replaced and fixed the wires and now it’s back to normal!
Glad to hear you got it figured out bro!! 💯💯🤝
Do the 3.5L also have 2 fuel pumps or is it just a single pump?
Yes bro, it’s the same fuel pump setup for the 3.5 as well 💯💯
Great video!!! I need Left and Right fuel pump part numbers?
Thanks bro appreciate the comment! 💯🤝 left side

Thanks for this!
You’re welcome bro!! 💯💯🤝 thanks for the comment! 🤝
so this video will apply to a dodge magnum srt8 2006?
Yes bro! 💯💯🤝
How do u know which one to replace
Mine were replaced due to age and cracking, one side started to leak so I replaced both. Is your vehicle not starting?
Not starting but not rusted like yours.. but after diagnosis we determined its the fuel pump
