In a shop the dye is in the ac machine and that’s what puts it in. Another way to get it into the system would be to evacuate the refrigerant. Vacuum the System, then put some dye inside the gauge hoses. If you are at home and have no tools you can buy refrigerant from the store that has dye already in it. Appreciate the comment bro!! I definitely recommend spark plugs. As for the coil packs, I replace those individually as they fail. Usually they will only set a code for certain cylinders so they are easier to diag. Clear your codes, and see which ones come back, then fix them as they set. Good luck with getting it fixed bro! @@colin7761 Mine is a 22' truck which is a little harder to get to, but not bad. It went pretty good, my hex socket was too short, but Harbor Freight had a set of impact hex that fit the bill, a little time fighting those hose clamps until I got some needle nose vise grips on them.. I know there must be a special tool for them, but got it done anyway.. not much oil in the coolant since I caught it early, still flushed it for a good while to make sure everything was clean.

Usually, this kit will only make a difference if your valve body components are experiencing wear or an issue. If there are no issues, it’s still considered an upgrade due to the changes that are supposed to prevent known failures from occurring to begin with. The major changes to the trans would occur in the tune and upgrading to blue cap solenoids. My trans is slightly tuned so it’s a bit different from stock, but not because of this kit 💯💯🤝 if you look into the details on the TransGo website it does go slightly more in depth to describe exactly what does what. @@colin7761 no tcm codes, just one from the PCM for a cylinder 5 misfire (bad plug is my guess) car had been sitting around for about 4 years so. Changed the out the fuel pump and battery so I could get it to turn on. Power steering pump also had gone out so I changed that out too. A new MAP sensor as well. Planning to see in the future if a transmission fluid change would help. Fluid looks clean and at proper level but smells a bit off.

Right on bro! What scanner are you using? Is it capable of reading tcm codes. If you are able to get live data, does the wheel speed sensors give a proper readout while they are spinning? Also I would def address the p0305 next. Try swapping the coil pack out with another cylinder. If the misfire changes then it’s the coil pack. If no change, then pull the plugs next to see what they look like 💯💯 After the p0305 is fixed then you should focus on the other issues. Anyway bro, good luck with that and if you need any advice you know where to go!! If your transmission fluid is old and dark, it would probably be a good idea to replace soon too 💯💯🤝

Changing the fluid could help if the noise is caused from low fluid. It could be low if it leaks. If there’s still good fluid in it and it’s making a noise then there may be a bigger issue. Good luck with figuring that out bro!!!

@@colin7761 ill have to see if it flashes i havent noticed that. i did clear the codes and some came back. the engine has shook and died not long after start up. Today its running just fine. I did get o2 spacers I am going to put on because of the cat and o2 codes. egr valve was recently replaced and no codes for that, it was prior to these other codes. Ill have to pay attention and get you more info.

@@colin7761 Youll never guess what it was. The pulley tensioner assembly was cracked causing the belt to slip and making the engine run like garbage. Replaced it and its running fine now. Cleared all the codes off with obd2.

You have a spare wheel on the truck? Where is the original wheel? The light will stay on until the wheel with the sensor is installed with proper pressure and is spinning. 💯💯🤝

Would you recommend replacing trans fluid I have never done it I got it at 79k miles now it has 154k and trans shifts good would you leave the same fluid or it's best to replace ? I heard its bad for the trans but I don't know why would it be bad

Definitely replace 💯 especially if you want to keep the vehicle for a while. Do a drain and refill with a filter replacement. People recommend against doing a transmission fluid flush (which is different from a drain and refill). Because sometimes a flush can cause issues due to it moving debris around in the transmission. I replace my trans filter and drain and refill the trans regularly. It depends on how much and how hard it’s driven. If you are easy on the vehicle you can go 60k miles. If it is driven harder I’d replace it a bit sooner. Good luck with that bro if you ever have to do it!! 💯🤝🤝
