24:49 Almost every push to start car i've driven, you can always press the button without the brake/clutch and it will only start the ignition without the actual engine. This way you can prime your fuel as much as you want as you would do with a regular key start.
This comment reminds me that there are ppl out there who thought it would be a great idea to putting disinfectants in their veins because one confused old man told them it would be a great idea 😂
Quick tip: To prime the fuel pump on a push start, push the start button twice without your foot on the brake pedal. This will put it in the Run position without starting the ignition and will activate the fuel pump. You also have to put the ignition in the Run position without the engine running in order to reset your oil life on these 2.4l 200’s. Obviously it still started, so no big deal. But if the battery was weak enough, the starter cranking while the fuel system was priming itself could have killed the battery before the engine finally started

@@Randaalcz why not comment that you'd like him to work on an EU car for this reason? I'm sure his analytics support that making some sense for him to do.
lol yeah, but the reason being is mechanics will take the easy route if they can, which includes just replacing everything. So instead of doing all the cleaning, he's going to rip out the fuel line, the tank, injectors, fill hose and just replace them with new parts. Certainly effective, but hardly the most practical or economical method. It pays to have some car repair knowledge. I've been working on my own vehicles for 18 years and have done everything from oil changes to engine/transmission rebuilds. Can't imagine how much money I would've had to pay for all the stuff I've done, I've easily saved tens of thousands throughout the years I'm sure.
@@jw11432 So as a mechanic i can say, atleast in my country replacing something is alot cheaper than fixing it. Reason being that just the work (time spent on working on the car) that i, the mechanic do, costs alot of money. Now obviously replacing something is done way quicker than fixing the same part so with parts being relatively cheap it's cheaper to replace it. Also we are under alot of stress because we have alot of other customers. Again, replaing something takes less time, meaning theres more time for other customers.
I can believe Chris hasn’t given up on UA-cam this channel have made it to where I was able to change my oil by my self and replace my fuel pump thank for all the help you have given people👍

You are helping so many people with how thorough your instructions are and not to mention the time it takes to film all of this from different angles.... absolute legend
Everytime I watch a ChrisFix video I have this confidence that I can build a car from scratch and I need that level of confidence in my life.😆
I tried rebuilding my car when the head gasket went but so far I have failed... I bought it when I was 15 and now I'm almost 18... Soon I will get it back on the road... :/
🙋🏻♂️😄
Me too. Chris should advise on all things. From choosing a wife to stock market investments. Divorce rates would plummet, and everyone would be richer!
I just watch his confidence while speaking
ChrisFix:...that way we can get a closer look at the fuel tank!
Camera: Pans into Chris’s gains 💪🏼👀
And this is why I love working in cars
24:49 Almost every push to start car i've driven, you can always press the button without the brake/clutch and it will only start the ignition without the actual engine. This way you can prime your fuel as much as you want as you would do with a regular key start.
Wow something that Chris didn't know! HAH! That's a rare one.
I love your work and videos
Thanks a lot!

Quick tip:
To prime the fuel pump on a push start, push the start button twice without your foot on the brake pedal. This will put it in the Run position without starting the ignition and will activate the fuel pump. You also have to put the ignition in the Run position without the engine running in order to reset your oil life on these 2.4l 200’s. Obviously it still started, so no big deal. But if the battery was weak enough, the starter cranking while the fuel system was priming itself could have killed the battery before the engine finally started

lol yeah, but the reason being is mechanics will take the easy route if they can, which includes just replacing everything.
Hold my wrench
*Hold my soapy wooder.
