My pumps were changed and now the dealer is telling me I have to pay for the new connector even though I supplied them with the OEM parts which I remember come with the connectors . I remember it came with instructions about the new wiring . If they just changed my pump and the connector itself is having an issue (they told me I just need a new connector , instead of buying a new harness) This means they probably didn’t install it correctly, right? Their work is covered under warranty but now they are saying bc I gave em parts they probably won’t cover it, they are blaming the parts I guess or a weird technicality but really it seems they messed up the process themselves
UPDATE: they didn’t honor my warranty . They said atfirst it was bc I brought in the OEM parts myself . Then I reminded them I was told since it was OEM I shouldn’t have an issue with warranty , THEN they said oh well it was an issue with the wiring (this is what they diagnosed. Wiring need to be connected to connector again ) and I reminded them the wiring came within the pump since they claimed it didn’t ... THEN they said the connector they were mentioning wasn’t the one that came with the pump but the connector and wiring that was connected to the car . Since they claimed it was the connector coming from the car and they didn’t touch it I had to pay But obviously the problem with this excuse is they DO have to touch the cars wiring and cut it in order to combine it with the new wiring harness . I didn’t know there was a connector coming from my car though , They acted like they don’t warranty their work when it says it on their own receipt. I said it could be faulty a installation right? Ofcourse they denied that . First they said it was the part and then moved the goal post saying it was the wire then they moved the goalposts again and said it was the other wire they magically didn’t touch and somehow also cut and soldered together with the new wires . Idk how to complain about them . But to me they obviously are being shady
Couple things bud. Go ahead and thumbs up the video and subscribe to the channel. An also, was the fuel pump replaced with a OEM mopar pump or a aftermarket pump?
Do you think one can just move the pins in the factory harness to the right locations? I got a 2012 piggy charger with a bad fuel pump. My pumps were changed and now the dealer is telling me I have to pay for the new connector even though I supplied them with the OEM parts which I remember come with the connectors .
I remember it came with instructions about the new wiring .
If they just changed my pump and the connector itself is having an issue (they told me I just need a new connector , instead of buying a new harness)
This means they probably didn’t install it correctly, right?
Their work is covered under warranty but now they are saying bc I gave em parts they probably won’t cover it, they are blaming the parts I guess or a weird technicality but really it seems they messed up the process themselves
UPDATE:
they didn’t honor my warranty .
They said atfirst it was bc I brought in the OEM parts myself . Then I reminded them I was told since it was OEM I shouldn’t have an issue with warranty , THEN they said oh well it was an issue with the wiring (this is what they diagnosed. Wiring need to be connected to connector again ) and
I reminded them the wiring came within the pump since they claimed it didn’t ... THEN they said the connector they were mentioning wasn’t the one that came with the pump but the connector and wiring that was connected to the car .
Since they claimed it was the connector coming from the car and they didn’t touch it I had to pay
But obviously the problem with this excuse is they DO have to touch the cars wiring and cut it in order to combine it with the new wiring harness .
I didn’t know there was a connector coming from my car though ,
They acted like they don’t warranty their work when it says it on their own receipt.
I don't know what's going on now I tried this with the new connector and still no Crank
