I got one of those yesterday it's still in the box thanks for the good ideas
Looks great Chris ! I love the blacked out look. Really like the new wire wrap they use for all the cables
. It looks so much cleaner. Thanks for sharing your ride Accessories with us. Keep the vids coming.
Thanks 👍
I have a Lectric 3.0 white step-through on the way right now. I'm so excited, my first ebike. That Display cover with the voltages and battery percentage is a pretty ingenius idea! I think I'll order one of those. Great video, love the content!
If certainly is! Ride on my friend
@@ChrisCrossed Man I just ordered 2 of the extended range 3.0’s with the holiday bundle. Also got a front rack and passenger kit for both bikes. COME ON SUMMER TIME!!!! Very helpful vids man I sure appreciate all the info.
@@ronwilson5476 bring it on!
Nice video. Thanks 😊
Like the handlebar bag idea and the rear basket chris
Get some black or stainless "fender washers" for the basket and ditch the wire ties. Large washer with a small center hole. Boker's will give you any size or just home depot (might not have stainless)
Bought this bike based on yours and others reviews a few weeks back. So far love it, just hate the brake squealing noise, just need to ride it more to let it set in I guess? also used your links to buy the basket and lanyard, thanks for the tips!
Yeah keep breaking them in, also try cleaning rotors with rubbing alcohol
Can you share some details on how you cut the black wrap in the spot near the handlebar stem? It’s not a clean cut line so I want to hear how you did it!
I basically just cut out a rectangle piece to cover up that top graphic. The color match is perfect so you cant really notice if its a little uneven. I used a long pair of scissors.
My question is how good does the bike lock prevent thefts and does the bike work without a key I wanna buy one but I live in a ghetto and Ik it’ll be taken from me
No the bike will not function without key. I’d suggest you get that kryptonite chain and cover the graphics to hide the brand name.
I own two of the 3.0 my Question: why do you keep the other key attached? I took the extra key and put away in secure location. 🤔
I’m afraid of losing one of the keys so I just keep them together
I appreciate this video Chris! Are you going to put the BMX bars on this one as well?
J no I I just put a 3 inch riser bar on it
@ChrisCrossed Oh okay; how do you like the BMX bars on your other Lectric? I'm thinking about putting some on mine.
Thanks for the video. I really like the mirror much better than the ones I’ve seen that you have to poke a hole in the grip this one is much better when you go grocery shopping do you only use that one lock? I live in Los Angeles so any recommendations to the proper way to lock up a bike should I lock up the front and the rear tire also I guess I need to put a cord through the seat also and is there any risk in somebody stealing the handlebars because that is a quick release I just bought the electric XP three and I’m just concerned about parking it somewhere I do have the bike lock that came with the bike and I purchased a cheap not very secure cable for the seat and there is a hiplok D 1000 coming from REI as soon. So perhaps I just need one or two other locks maybe to lock the tires what do you think? Thanks again for your great video. I’m going to buy some of those with the affiliate links.
Yeah I’m in the suburbs so just use the one lock plus apple air tag
Hey how are your brakes not noisy as heck?? Mine are so loud. Especially the rear brake. Heard other people are having the same problem
Mine is about as loud as another reviewer mentioned. It doesn’t brother me but yet another reviewer mentioned something you can wipe on them to reduce the noise. I like anything that clarify that this mother might actually STOP when I need it to. 😅
They aren't as bad as previous models Ive owned. Now they sound like static when applied.
Mine came badly adjusted. 5min job. Once adjusted noise in break-in then quiet and powerful. Buy Klein or park 5mm ball end tool $5. Loosen caliper to bike bolts, squeeze handle and tighten bolts while holding. That centers. Tighten inside w/tool if gap. Back off if rubbing. Same using just the spin knobs. Did same @500mi.
@@AEFisch I have no idea how to do this from your description haha not your fault it's just hard to understand when I don't know bikes that well. So I will youtube it, but glad to know there is a way to make them less noisy
Brakes are loud and their customer service is not good for anything.
bad idea/recommendation using a rear white light (@3:45) as most people are conditioned to assuming something is coming at them when seeing a white light; that is why most jurisdictions mandate rear red light/reflector and front white lights
Hadn’t thought of that but I have some reds.
@@ChrisCrossed same principle when a car goes into reverse - the reverse lights are white to indicate that vehicle is coming at you (as opposed to away from you); be safe out there
What is the reason for the energy bar on the display?
its just a rudimentary way of showing battery level
Does the 2.0 fit the 3.0 ? ( Non- step thru)
Hey Chris,
Thanks for the video!
My 3.0 bundle came with the brighter headlight and it’s a good upgrade to add.
Also I’m going to add the Zoom HB-100 cable actuated hydraulic brakes today. I believe I’ll need some spacer washers to keep calipers from rubbing on spokes.
Sounds good, i wonder if the bigger rotors will make them fit without a spacer. Report back if you try.
For that display cover, does it add any water resistance to the display or is it just for aesthetics and the volt reading?
not waterproof so just protection against cracking along with the scale.
I put front and back DASHCAMS. I recommend the Xiaomi 70mai 1S. I run them off of common 5v 1a power banks. I plug in and go.
$40 each from AliExpress.
I think they are better than a GoPro because they run continuously for 4-10 hours (depending on size of power bank) creating 1 minute video segments.
Those aee not water resistant, correct?
@@assface199 Definitely not waterproof. Most likely not water resistant. There are holes where the speaker is. The on/off switch and where you connect usb cable not water resistant.
You can probably make them somewhat water resistant using silicone or electrical tape. You can always remove or cover them if it starts raining.
PS. I am a fair weather leisure only rider. This summer I got caught in the rain once for about 2 minutes. Dashcams survived.
Why do people have BOTH keys on the same keyring? The “spare” key should always be in another location.
Am I really screwed if I lose both?
Bad design, I would not buy a Lectric bike.
8:06 I’m a bit confused by this one.
The long-range battery is 48V. So, even if that’s the one you have, how could that percentage scale be accurate, if it’s never above 50?
Full voltage of either the 10 or 14ah is 54.6. In the video my battery is. a little less than half full.
That’s confusing because your Energy Bar is only missing 1 bar - looks almost fully charged. ??
@@settinger14 i thought the same
I got a clamp on accessory bar for handle bar
What are the dimensions of the Vinyl Wrap you used?
I just cut to size, comes in a variety of lengths.
4:45 bruh… I hear you, re: screwing that lock casing into the frame. I had to get creative to make it work. It was not designed for grown man hands. 😅
The longer the Allen wrench, the better - but I used the one that comes with the bike.
Exactly, no room for 'man hands' lol
I would suggest people wanting an E Bike to get one with 750 watt 14.5 or larger battery.. Don't go cheap.. Don't buy a starter bike unless you will only use it to ride on an occasion or for 5-10 mile slow rides..
750 is a good sweet spot.
Definitely, these Lectric bikes aren't good and their customer service is crap.
White lights go in front and red in the back. Per the law in many states. Just saying.
I'm about to buy one but I want a discount on the seat and the extended battery they just had a sale but I missed it
Buy a different brand, their customer service is not good.
I bought one and it just wasn't worth it. The brakes are garbage and the back tire went flat like eight times
@@keesbey9555 My front went flat after the third day.
How possible do you think it would be for me to install a car battery 12 inch subwoofer with a ported box and giant amp on the back of one of these bad boys 😂
Um, good luck with that ;-)
Add some BMX Bars
I went with a swept back set of bars for a more upright ride.
This bike is okay for fun I guess but if you're using it to commute it is a big mistake you are constantly going to have to buy a new back tires and replace your brake pads on a bi-weekly basis if you're going to buy this bike put a t a n n u s armor on the back tire and get the upgraded hydraulic brakes the standard brakes are complete and total bulshit.
I don't care for these at all, I would go with another brand.
@@beazy96 I bought it to get me back and forth to work it was never free there was always something on it to huge waste of money
A 10.5 ah battery? 😞
What size vinyl wrap ?
Dont remember, shouldnt matter really since you just need to cut it to size.
