+John Shearer Thanks John. I know for some its not going to make sense but if I held on to every real and percevied slight in any industry I would be living in the woods Sh*itting into a stone pot.
+ACG I spent a few years in game QA (see State of Decay) and I gotta say, it's refreshing to hear that. So many times I've seen people complain when a dev tries something new, even with a new IP, and then people complain that it wasn't what they expected. Like the recent complaints I've read that the Division doesn't look as good as the E3 videos or whatever. So what?
+John Shearer Hold the phones brother. State of Decay is #3 in my favorite games of all time. So I got to say thanks so much for whatever you did on those titles and versions man. and ya agreed.
Oh yeah, worked QA on that for over a year, back to it's Alpha when it was still called Class 3 and co-op was a "maybe." But then people complained when it removed and I just rolled my eyes at the complaints. Kinda wish they would take your stance and just wait for the release and "review" it then, regardless if co-op was ever promised or not.
It's great to hear someone who looks at games neutrally rather than going with the stereotypical opinions of the masses. You have also gotten so much better than before. Thanks for making these videos mate.
I am catching up on 5 years of missed gaming and my friends told me buying primal is a mistake, but I did it anyway. After seeing this I can't wait for it to get here
+Finally Yougetit Same for me. Dual 980Tis waiting to slay this thing. Sounds like they've further optimized the engine after FC4, so I'm looking forward to a beautiful and smooth experience off-the-bat. We'll see!
The most underrated game of 2016, can't believe it didn't get more love. Survival mode is truly an experience. I had to check a few times to make sure it was a Ubisoft game seeming there was no season pass, DLC or micro transactions.
Talented, highly-skilled people busted their asses to make this game what it is, and yet some gamers completely dismiss it immediately and bitch. There's an attitude of entitlement on the part of many gamers that's selfish, unrealistic, childish, and ignorant. Do you know why many companies sell DLC? It's because it keeps the doors open and artists employed. It's a tough industry, expectations are sky high, and devs can't reinvent the wheel with every single game. Cut them slack.
+bizmonkey007 You mix consumer and business or developer mentalities as if they're one and the same. Consumers have the entitlement and all the right in the world to share their opinion about a product they don't like or were disappointed by. It's not their job to feel bad or support a company just because people worked hard on a product. That is absolutely RIDICULOUS. Do you actually want to know why companies sell DLC? Because of inflation and mainly because people actually support it. Like you know, it's a business and if they need to exploit or take advantage of people to make money they will.
+Joshua Hanes "make your own game" is the dumbest argument ever known to man. That's like telling me to become a chef because I criticized a chef that made shitty food. I don't need to be a chef to know the food is shitty.
When a reviewer they like gives a game a positive score..people are quick to kiss Ubisoft's ass. When they give it a lukewarm review (Watch Doga 2) then you see comments bashing the game and company. There is no shortage of hypocrites.
I am absolutely floored at the negativity in the comments. "Its just FC 3 with cavemen and rideable sabre tooth tigers." So, that sounds like the best thing ever!
Agreed. People moan that devs just do the same thing with every new game - but moan when they try something new. Regardless, this is my go to channel for an honest, practical review.
+Nathan Martin Don't get me wrong, I pretty much only play indie PC stuff. Every now and then, a guy wants a steak though. Even a Walmart filet will do. And I totally understand the Ubisoft hate, and the Uplay, and Denuvo trust issues, particularly. But this looks rad. ACG and Jim Fucking Sterling, Son enjoyed it, so I am down.
+Jonas King Oh definitely, I mean I got AC Unity (my first proper delve into AC) And, as is universally known) it was a bag of shit. And how they had the audacity to announced AC Syndicate when AC Unity was so lackluster and broken is completely beyond me. I just feel people moan and moan for something then when they get it say "This is just Far Cry with cavemen" Well yeah...it's a Far Cry game, with Cavemen. I've gotta say though, kudos for Ubisoft for having the balls to go for something new. I personally enjoy the Far Cry series and whilst they have all been pretty similar - I feel this opens up new doors. And kudos to you for playing indie PC games - bravo!
I'm buying this just for the setting. i skipped fc4 because i didn't wanna burn out on the series. I'm glad i did because I've been waiting for a game in this setting for a while
+Casioo24 meh i played a bit of far cry 4 after loving 3 and it felt like the same game. not interested in it. Ive been waiting for a stone age game forever. i can't ride a saber tooth tiger and stab cave men in far cry 4. plus i got it preordered for 30 dollars. seems about worth it to me
+sean mitchell good idea. I wish I had skipped 4, I got bored less than half way in because it was pretty much the same as 3. This one looks really cool though!
Jack Bateman for sure. i think if you have an interest in this time period it looks like they did a good job being authentic to the plants and animals and like this reviewer said they thought the world was well designed and great to explore. i think exploring on the back of a tiger sounds awesome ha
Now that's how you do a review!! I thought for sure you was going to end off saying wait for a sale or just rent it. I didn't expect you to recommend buying it. Nice to see someone who knows true value.
Picked this up after a long break from the series and I have to say, I'm impressed! When adult life demands your attention I found Primal to be a nice reminder of why games are so enjoyable - growing your inventory, skills, that initial nervousness at a whole new world that you gradually learn and become familiar with. Good fun!
i rarely comment on videos, but i feel like i just have to commend you on your previews/reviews. you never fail to give unbiased reviews and i love how you even highlight small details like music and ambience, where other reviewers would just give it a passing look. and this is just a tip of the iceberg for why you are my most trusted video game reviewer ever! keep up the good work!
I can’t think of anyone doing a better job at reviewing game titles than Karak (and that includes the corporate reviewers, IGN, gamespot, etc). Always my first “go to” reviewer for any title. Also fun to go back and look at past titles as well, especially those in depth feature looks at the art and technical aspects. Uncanny how much your voice and style reminds me of Ted Forbes with his The Art of Photography channel, another channel which has such great writing and observation so far above their peers. Thanks again Karak for such great content.
Hey ACG, To be honest with you and I am really going to be honest here. I was thinking about Pirating this game next week when it came out on PC. However, your review was probably one of the best reviews I have seen in a long time. You don't say Ummm, you add humor in the right spots and you do the review in a great breakdown. I am an older gamer and I like the games that consume you to the point where you don't feel rushed. I am 100% glad I did not pirate this game as Ubisoft did a wonderful job. For those that are thinking this is a copy and paste job of FC4, you are extremely far off here. This is now in my top 10 games of all times. I have put in 20 hours in 2 days and I am not even half way through the game. If your looking for a game with True immersion and gives you the chills at night time and also a survival type game and the sense of accomplishment then this game is for you. I really am enjoying this game. It really makes you feel like your part of the tribe and you want to help it grow, it doesn't feel tedious when gathering or anything. Once you finally tame that Sabertooth or Cave Bear, you are a complete bad ass and you do not feel helpless during the night. To me I am going to go as far as to say this is the best FC I have played. I know most of you are going to say FC3 was better and thats cool as it is definately a runner up. Its just so unique to me. The only complaint thus far is my Carpal Tunnel is acting up on me.
I love your reviews. I used to watch a large variety of channels apart from yours to get many different perspectives, but I've relied more and more on your judgement. Somehow, I feel yours are the most sincere and objective reviews, and I just love them. Keep the great work.
The collectibles in this game are actually insanely hard to find. You can easily spend an hour searching an area for that little mask or ring or whatever, climbing up here and there, marking it on your map, searching for it with your special sense, only to end up falling off a cliff and dying.
I like your reviews because of how intelligent you are in picking out specific things and explaining what you liked or didn't like about them in a really understanding way. You are genuine with everything here and I definitely will be buying this. I was very skeptical about it in the beginning but it has grown on me immensely after watching you simply play through it awhile
+The Unknown thanks man appreciate that. Remember difficulty level and hud elements MAKE THE GAME> so really decide how you want to play Nohud looks hard but its amazing
I always thought Far cry 3 and 4 seemed super cool because of the world, the hunting etc, but the actual story and setting and weapons and things like that didn't interest me. So this seems like a much better option for me. Here the hunting and exploration fits in a lot better I think, and as I haven't played the earlier far cry games I won't be tired of the concept either. So I'm buying this!
It really seems like you have a very optimistic, yet fair view on the games you review, without letting expectations, or somethings reputation ruin the good things there are :) It's really nice to see :)
Probably the most thorough and honest review I've seen in... Hell, ever. You can tell you're a fan, but kept your expectations in check going into the game, didn't fail to point out the flaws or the things some may consider a flaw that may actually add to the experience of the time period or location. You've earned yourself a sub. Kudos. Keep it up.
I bought this game on discount from the store. Got the all singing, all dancing, super deluxe everything included package and what a fun game it is. I had a blast. It does get a bit repetitive but its still a lot of fun. Only main gripe is Its easy to get a bit lost in some of the caves in the later stages of the game. The bosses are a bit challenging but not impossible. A good entertaining game.
Great review ACG. I've tended to like the gameplay of the previous titles, but initially was a little hesitant for a day 1 purchase due to the setting. I watched your preview, live play/discussion and gameplay's and you've definitely convinced me. Can't wait to pickup tomorrow.
ya know what i'd love to see? Far cry Civil War! fighting as a rebel soldier! that'd be so friggin cool! black powder rifles and pistols, cavalry weapons, riding horses, cannons and the infancy of revolvers, riding steam boats!! railroads! PLEASE SOME ONE FROM UBI READ THIS I WANT THIS
Yes, this would be awesome. Ubisoft is always afraid of going too far into the future with Assassin's Creed due to the gun warfare rather than hand to hand combat, so why not use Far Cry as that gateway to other timelines? Seems fun to me!
the infancy of revolvers actually started in the mid 18th century, and it was black powder. and during the civil war the rebels actually used more tyan just black powder weapons, they had repeating rifles as well. sorry, i am just a history professor
+DIM GamerT29 I´d rather see them making new IP´s so they dont have all these rules etc to be held to and that people expect if it´s a game within the same series.
By far one of the most honest reviews I've seen of this game; some people are accusing the map to be an exact copy and paste of far cry 4's map which even though there are some similarities there are some areas completely different in terms of environment. All in all sir you got another subscriber
I realize this comment is late (about a year and a half) but I only recently discovered your series of reviews and have been going back over them. Particularly the ones of games I have myself. I have thoroughly enjoyed them in general and this one even more than usual. It's good to see reviews that are unbiased and complete. Good job and I look forward to both going back over the ones I missed and the reviews yet to come. Thank you
I've seen reviews with really different opinions on this, ranging from great enthusiasm to total disdain. I think I'll probably get it just to see where I land on that spectrum.
+Lenemus 4 wasn't bad. Not far behind 3. 3 just had a cooler story and music. At the time the first one that came out had the best graphics ever seen in a game and was amazing at the time also
Just got the game because of this review. I'm playing without any interface settings and my god it's amazing! i've probably run passed 1000 useful items and caves though. Thanks for the recommendation - scored it for $20 AUD the same day I bought a black lab puppy, what a time to be alive!
When Far Cry Primal came out earlier in the year it didn't appeal to me too much. However, I just recently picked it up. I have to admit that its a lot of fun to play. Initially, I thought that replacing guns, rocket launchers and grenades with a club, spear and a bow wouldn't be much fun. That opinion has gone by the wayside because the game has been an absolute blast to play. Combat is up close and personal and more challenging. The sound effect of the bow isn't necessarily great. However, the sound of an arrow making contact with an enemy's skull is very satisfying. There is something brutal, in fact primal (pun intended) when you nail an unsuspecting enemy in the skull with a well placed arrow. The various animal sounds are impressive. Character and animal animations are top notch as well. Taming the various wildlife and having them fight along side you is very fun. I can't count how many times I've seen animals fighting each other or chasing after one another. Animals and enemies would also fight one another. Those types of things happen at random which adds to the realism, especially for the time period. Fire effects are impressive but, that's always been the case for the Far Cry franchise as far fire effects are concerned. The game looks impressive in terms landscape, character and animal models. The language that was used sounds pretty convincing for what could've possibly been used for the time period. I've already spent a decent amount of time playing Far Cry Primal and I look forward to spending even more time playing it moving forward. Ubisoft did use the same map layout that was present in Far Cry 4. However, the game manages to be a lot of fun despite that issue. Thanks for the great review Karak. Keep it up!
Eiad Tarabulsi I second that. Picked it up preowned from another person a month ago and it sat lying there because eventhough I just paid $20 for it I was still unsure I would enjoy it. Decided to pop it in over this weekend and my god I'm having fun..I just completed a few missions and the atmosphere is spot on, I never did like the gunplay in far cry games and replacing that with the current mechanics just felt right. I think all future farcry games should be guns free and going through different periods. Great review as always btw.
Subscribed. Thumbs up. Been watching your reviews for about a month and kept procrastinating on subbing or even signing in to leave a comment. Appreciate your in depth review style and breaking down each category. Rapid fire vocal delivery is also enjoyable. Great reviews. Will be back for more. Thanks!
I dismissed this one right away as it didn't have guns which I love in all the other "Far Cry" games, I loved "FC3 & 4" specifically. Your opinion here carries a lot of weight with me, I can see what you dug in the game & I've radically changed my opinion on this one, adding to list now, thanks brother for the killer profile & detailed deconstruction on it, quite convincing.
Just a friendly suggestion because I love your reviews so much. Could you please post time stamps or annotations to the different sections in your review? It would be so much easier to listen to your opinion about a particular category first before watching the rest of the video. It would just reduce our time with the seek bar that's all :) Awesome videos as always!
Best review I've seen. I agree with everything. This actually has me excited to see what lies ahead in FC future. I was seriously skeptical about this one, even after loving 4. Glad I bought it. Subscibed.
Best goddamn review on the interbutts. Karak you ACG guys know your shit and preach it. TESTIFY my brother. Keep it up getting this today. And opinions on PS4 views X1. I know you played X1. Just curious if you tried both systems. Horns up!
DUDE , PLEASE KEEP THE VIDEOS COMING! ITS ABOUT TIME SOME ONE DID AN AWESOME REVIEW AND MAKE ME ENJOY EVERY MINT. OF IT WHILE I WATCH IT! SORRY FOR THE CAPS BUT I NEEDED TO GET MY POINT ACROSS!
Nice review, I'm not just saying that because i also enjoy primal, but you had solid points about the game. Also your humor made it so much better to watch, and your words flow so perfectly. Surprised you don't have more subs. + subscriber
It really is unfortunate how underrated and ignored this game was. Good job as always, every review I watch from you solidifies your place as my #1 game talking man.
Gotta love the brutal takedowns, especially when done with the shank you use when using the bow. Can't forget the sound of an arrow going through someone's skull either.... So satisfying
I've never seen any of your reviews but you're probably the best reviewer I've ever heard. Came here after watching the IGN review and saw someone mention your channel. Looks like I'll be getting it tomorrow, was kind of skeptical but like you said, getting it for fun.
It's a solid game, but only a select number of people are gonna like it. Something to think about though, it's really good that they changed things up, because if they did a far cry 5, it'd be boring. Because just face it, Far Cry 3 and 4 were practically the same game(don't get me wrong they were both amazing games, but they were extremely identical)
+Reticle Quick That is why primal should've been a stand alone expansion with more focused story and gameplay. I thnk people would've warmed up to it more if it is a stand alone expac like blood dragon was cause it reuses a lot of assets.
Great review, first I've watched, and the only one that really matters to me. Picking this up when stores open tomorrow in Australia. Cheers and thanks for the depth of your review.
I am curious the past two games had a villain worth remembering. With the lack of communication however a stronger stance on physical communication, did any of the enemy leaders stand out?
apparently the enemy leaders aren't the greatest compared to 3 n 4. but the supporting cast is supposed to be pretty good and it seems they compromised on losing some awesome story for better gameplay. this is only based on what I have heard from it so far. havent played it yet
I liked how when you get to a big camp at night they are doing things normal people would do at night. In the day they are more aware,at night there more relaxed and some are even in the huts getting rear ended. The small things are the best.
You make the best reviews. You actually take into account how fun a game is and use a practical rating system. Knew this game would be good regardless of the nay sayers
Well your videos are just sheer quality, everything is really good... But the dialogue... That's just pitch perfect :3 So rich and interesting :D Keep up the great work, you're amazing ^^
+Dylan Palmer You seem like a smart guy ;D I mean that's inevitable anyway (price drop) so I believe that's a smart way of thinking. Might do so myself - not getting it anytime *soon* but I definitely want this in my collection (which is only baby-crawling at the moment :P)
After watching your live gameplay video yesterday I am completely sold on this title, whereas before my feelings towards it were merely lukewarm at best. Also, thanks for another great review - they're the best on youtube IMO - and I finally wanted to give credit where's it's due.
+ACG I can't see how there could be anything other than appreciation for your hard work and shared passion for videogames. So yeah, don't let anything or anyone get you down while doing what you do, 'cause brother, you do it like no other.
I think FC4 kind of gave Farcry a bad name. Farcry 3 was FANTASTIC and a breath of fresh air. FC4 really did feel copy pasted. However, that was only one game. I don't understand all the hate FC is getting when it looks like they've made 3 really solid games and one mediocre game
Solid and humorous review. I like how you really went into depth with all the aspects to give us a better understanding of what the game plays like. 5-6 minute reviews, like the ones IGN and GameSpot do, are simply too short and generally wont give you a good idea of what it's all about. Subscribed.
ACG no problem, dude :) I'm looking forward to playing this on PC to see what kind of graphic tweaks we can fumble with. Btw, are you planning on reviewing The Division?
For all the people claiming this is nothing but a cash grab, I generally feel that Far Cry 4 appeared to be more fitting of such a claim than this title. It actually seems that they applied a great deal of effort into the making of Far Cry Primal, and actually tackled an era in time that most games haven't even attempted, making it a sort of risk for game companies to try, which is rather commendable. And I'm genuinely looking forward to experiencing it, just as I was for Blood Dragon. Familiar mechanics with a new and interesting twist- and good fun! Dying Light type combat would have been a decent fit for this game I think, especially since it's based around clubs and axe type weaponry.
+ACG A youtuber that actually replies! Thanks! By the way, you honestly are one of, if not thee best reviewer I've came across. The amount of games you review with such intricate and well thought out explanations for why you like or dislike a game is staggering.
+StopAskingMeToChangeMyName Ya I try to reply when I can. Sometimes its not easy. and thanks man I appreciate that othors get what I am babbling about lol
First time seeing a review or any video from you. And i gotta say, i LOVED it. Very funny, informative and just overall entertaining to watch. Definitely gonna pick up this game tomorrow.
+Iceray Appreciate it sincerely man. If you can spread the word. If not I am stoked you liked it. Remember try out the game without a hud for some extra immersion.
Amazing review as usual, Will pick this up for Pc when its released as it looks like my bag, bit sad there isnt a dancing mini-game to tame animals tho ;)
Just purchased this game as my first pc game. I'm running this game on ultra settings, ultra wide 1440p. 85 fps on average. The game is beautiful, but it's strange to play a game on keyboard and mouse.
Can your character carry a hell of a lot of arrows or it just seems like it because of the editing? I like the fact that you can ignite the spear. Excellent review as usual, by the far the best ones I've seen in gaming. You're quite the wordsmith sir.
I bought it day one.. 1 of a few things i dont like about the game is that the story is very, very short.. its gotten where im doing side things first before i finish the last quest or i wouldve finished it day 1 (ul is left, since i killed batari already) BUT!! I am having fun doing it.. in 3 and 4 i never had a reason to pick leaves. I could play the whole game without using them. but in this game they are necessary, and gathering is rewarding.. i just grab everything i can and now my village is fully upgrades. my items are too. im just working on skills now, but its almost done.. I wish, however, there were more harder animals to fight like the elder mammoths. I have everything fully upgraded, and when i go in with my great scar bear, some traps, fire, bees and my spears, the mammoth can still kill me easily if i am not careful. and i like that. It feel great when i finally take the beast down. once you have the high lv spear everything else dies easy, even cave bears. kinda sad. I also wish enemy tribes could have more war horns out in the wild.. in farcry 3 and 4, if i attacked a random group, they had the chance to call in support, which made it fun, i would play a game of "king of the bridge" and hold them off from the bridge as they kept coming. but here, im lucky if i get another group.
played all the far crys and this I was worried about buying but I broke down and bought it because how many caveman games are there and it was definitely worth the buy
One of the standouts of Far Cry 4 was the shangri la missions. It was awesome. To think they made a game around it is like Black Flag taking on AC's sailing stuff. While I am sure I will have a blast, I guess I will wait for price to go down. Is there multi player (co-op or pvp)?
I just hope the PC version is optimized. I skipped Far Cry 4 so picking this up.
5 років тому+1
I just got this game ...again. I received this game back around it's release as a gift. however , it was a used copy , and kinda beat up at that. I played just a little bit of it , and haven't been back since. However, I just picked up a brand new copy. When I originally got this one , I wasn't familiar with ACG reviews...now he is the only reviewer I trust 100% ...so now Im going back and watching all my older games reviews on this channel. As for "Primal" ...Im on it ...just as soon as I finish Red Dead 2.
Dude I know you get this all the time but your reviews are awesome. I come to you now before I buy anything and your always right about the game. Glad your doing this for us IMO your the best in the business!
Most of the reviews I've seen for Primal said "Yeah this is a FarCry, just no guns and yes animals." Which didn't help at all since I've never played another FarCry before. This is exactly what I wanted, and I'm so glad you did this justice! Thanks for the review.
I love the mentality of judging the game for what it is, not what it's heritage might imply.
+John Shearer Thanks John. I know for some its not going to make sense but if I held on to every real and percevied slight in any industry I would be living in the woods Sh*itting into a stone pot.

sergiodriftdrift I love farcry as well

My overall thoughts. Funfactor funfactor funfactor.
You should get commission, just took me off the fence on this title.

I'm thinking of doing dual 680tis (because it is what I can afford). Do you think sli is worth it?

Now that's how you do a review!! I thought for sure you was going to end off saying wait for a sale or just rent it. I didn't expect you to recommend buying it. Nice to see someone who knows true value.
+ASMR-Sensei SilentKageNoJutsu appreciate that sir.
Picked this up after a long break from the series and I have to say, I'm impressed! When adult life demands your attention I found Primal to be a nice reminder of why games are so enjoyable - growing your inventory, skills, that initial nervousness at a whole new world that you gradually learn and become familiar with. Good fun!
Love the review, just what I was hoping to hear. Always loved Far cry.
Go ride a bike.
+Seth Knows
uh....burn?
chea
+bakerXderek man I'm seeing your comments all over lol, cheaahhh
i rarely comment on videos, but i feel like i just have to commend you on your previews/reviews.
you never fail to give unbiased reviews and i love how you even highlight small details like music and ambience, where other reviewers would just give it a passing look. and this is just a tip of the iceberg for why you are my most trusted video game reviewer ever!
keep up the good work!
+Faizrul Mior Thanks brother. Its not a secret that its good to hear that the content hits with some folks
Ubisoft should honestly make a wild west far cry
Good idea but I think people would compared it to red dead way too much. It wouldn't be able to stand up to the hype/criticism
@@malecrium8665
Well Red Dead is amazing so
I can’t think of anyone doing a better job at reviewing game titles than Karak (and that includes the corporate reviewers, IGN, gamespot, etc).
Whenever I want to see a 100% honest review, I come to the ACG channel. Once again, excellent review Karak!
+aventdrr you bet
Whats your other top 9 games Lol? I need to play something good soon .
hahaha you still can't pirate this game!!!! lolz
bought this game yesterday because of this review, never played a farcry game before. must say I'm hooked on this game
I love your reviews. I used to watch a large variety of channels apart from yours to get many different perspectives, but I've relied more and more on your judgement. Somehow, I feel yours are the most sincere and objective reviews, and I just love them. Keep the great work.
+Zeruel Jedah thanks man
The collectibles in this game are actually insanely hard to find.
Finally picked this up recently, by far the most fun I've had while playing a far cry game.
ya loved it
I always thought Far cry 3 and 4 seemed super cool because of the world, the hunting etc, but the actual story and setting and weapons and things like that didn't interest me. So this seems like a much better option for me. Here the hunting and exploration fits in a lot better I think, and as I haven't played the earlier far cry games I won't be tired of the concept either. So I'm buying this!
😄😄😵😵
Your a bow hunter.... that deserves an instant like....
It really seems like you have a very optimistic, yet fair view on the games you review, without letting expectations, or somethings reputation ruin the good things there are :)
It's really nice to see :)
+Jay Too The man thank you
Probably the most thorough and honest review I've seen in... Hell, ever. You can tell you're a fan, but kept your expectations in check going into the game, didn't fail to point out the flaws or the things some may consider a flaw that may actually add to the experience of the time period or location. You've earned yourself a sub. Kudos. Keep it up.
+RaireDidimus Well thanks man I am glad it worked for you man. Appreciate the kind words.
+Daniel Kieffer appreciate it man
ya know what i'd love to see?
Smitty Werbenjaugermanjensen thank you for the correction Mr. Professor. i wasn't really sure on the timeline so ty for the clarification.
Path of Duality neither does this whole far cry primal, neither did asscreed 3 or black flag. dont wanna sound like a lil kid but, YOU'RE STOOPID!
By far one of the most honest reviews I've seen of this game; some people are accusing the map to be an exact copy and paste of far cry 4's map which even though there are some similarities there are some areas completely different in terms of environment. All in all sir you got another subscriber
too many animals - 0/10 -IGN
I realize this comment is late (about a year and a half) but I only recently discovered your series of reviews and have been going back over them. Particularly the ones of games I have myself. I have thoroughly enjoyed them in general and this one even more than usual. It's good to see reviews that are unbiased and complete. Good job and I look forward to both going back over the ones I missed and the reviews yet to come. Thank you
my thanks
I've seen reviews with really different opinions on this, ranging from great enthusiasm to total disdain. I think I'll probably get it just to see where I land on that spectrum.
This review still holds up years later. It finally came out free with the ps premium such a good game so far. Thanks for this ancient review !
I've never played a Far Cry game. This looks like good place to start.
+Daakkuu Sama
I'm gonna let you finish, but Far Cry 3 was the best Far Cry game of all time.
+Lenemus No
***** It will take time untill I'll even start since I don't have PS4/ XBone/ Good PC yet
+Lenemus 4 wasn't bad. Not far behind 3. 3 just had a cooler story and music. At the time the first one that came out had the best graphics ever seen in a game and was amazing at the time also
+Eric Nick Yes
What a great honest review. I'm happy your channel is so successful
Just got the game because of this review. I'm playing without any interface settings and my god it's amazing! i've probably run passed 1000 useful items and caves though. Thanks for the recommendation - scored it for $20 AUD the same day I bought a black lab puppy, what a time to be alive!
Puppies and games. Live the dream :D
you have earned my sub. love how you got to the point very quickly and mention all pros and cons . thank you for your honest review !
+Bambi Jay appreciate that
17:17 that was a really good way to put it
i only subscribed bc you were chill about it & didnt tell me like 7 times to subscribed in the beggining middle & end..respect. dope vid too tho
Keep it up!
Ya so god damned cool
Thanks!
+Monkey Lungs thanks and that is one awesome youtube name lol
Been my gaming handle since the original Xbox.
I dismissed this one right away as it didn't have guns which I love in all the other "Far Cry" games, I loved "FC3 & 4" specifically. Your opinion here carries a lot of weight with me, I can see what you dug in the game & I've radically changed my opinion on this one, adding to list now, thanks brother for the killer profile & detailed deconstruction on it, quite convincing.
brother it is...fantastic. Turn the UI off and its even better
Just a friendly suggestion because I love your reviews so much.
Could you please post time stamps or annotations to the different sections in your review? It would be so much easier to listen to your opinion about a particular category first before watching the rest of the video.
It would just reduce our time with the seek bar that's all :)
Awesome videos as always!
+Kinjal Sen Sadly it absolutely destroys viewership so not right now. sorry
Understood. At least I know that you've considered it. Perhaps sometime in the future. :)
+Kinjal Sen yes indeed
Best review I've seen. I agree with everything. This actually has me excited to see what lies ahead in FC future. I was seriously skeptical about this one, even after loving 4. Glad I bought it. Subscibed.
+Lazy Daze Thanks man. Glad your enjoying it.
Best goddamn review on the interbutts. Karak you ACG guys know your shit and preach it. TESTIFY my brother. Keep it up getting this today. And opinions on PS4 views X1. I know you played X1. Just curious if you tried both systems. Horns up!
+12SkippyRay thanks man
Great review as always. Got it during Summer Sales. I'm really enjoying it so far.
DUDE , PLEASE KEEP THE VIDEOS COMING! ITS ABOUT TIME SOME ONE DID AN AWESOME REVIEW AND MAKE ME ENJOY EVERY MINT. OF IT WHILE I WATCH IT! SORRY FOR THE CAPS BUT I NEEDED TO GET MY POINT ACROSS!
+CHRIS MEJIA thanks!
Great review (as always) I will now definitely be picking this one up tomorrow :)
+K Money Go nohud brother
Yeah I might
Nice review, I'm not just saying that because i also enjoy primal, but you had solid points about the game. Also your humor made it so much better to watch, and your words flow so perfectly. Surprised you don't have more subs.
+ subscriber
+Bmartin93 Thanks Martin
It really is unfortunate how underrated and ignored this game was.
Good job as always, every review I watch from you solidifies your place as my #1 game talking man.
Gotta love the brutal takedowns, especially when done with the shank you use when using the bow. Can't forget the sound of an arrow going through someone's skull either.... So satisfying
+greenthunder1000 Ya. Since Division isn't working for most people. I may go back to that
Looks like a very good game, but not worth $60. I'll wait till it hits
Okay well u have fun waiting 5 years for that price drop buddy.
I will. I bought FC1-3 and Blood Dragon a few months ago for 10 bucks. I'm willing to wait.
So you are basically going to treat this game like a dlc for far cry 4?.... Yeah me too
+stiego hory I won't
+thecoolguy010 It aint $60 on PC. Look around, buddy.
I've never seen any of your reviews but you're probably the best reviewer I've ever heard. Came here after watching the IGN review and saw someone mention your channel. Looks like I'll be getting it tomorrow, was kind of skeptical but like you said, getting it for fun.
+my87and78camaros Well thanks for coming man glad you liked the review. Spread the word if you can
I sure will!
Your reviews are excellent... Very in depth...
thank you
love your style of reviews very well thought out your one of the best keep it up!
+Campbell Troy Sup troy and thanks
As always, another great, smart and professional review. And a bit underrated. Keep up the good work, Karak. Gonna go get myself a copy of this game.
+Al Mar thanks man
Great review man! Full of useful information & entertaining! I like your style. Subscribed.
+Roger T thanks
+Total Spoof same here
You make the best reviews. You actually take into account how fun a game is and use a practical rating system. Knew this game would be good regardless of the nay sayers
+Joe Williams thanks
Well your videos are just sheer quality, everything is really good... But the dialogue... That's just pitch perfect :3 So rich and interesting :D
Keep up the great work, you're amazing ^^
+YourHeartRazor thanks man
Eh, I'm not hurting for games right now so I'll wait until it's on a steam sale for $20 or less.
k
+Eric Nick
Getting old dude... it's getting *old*... just sayin' LOL ;P
+Dylan Palmer
You seem like a smart guy ;D
I mean that's inevitable anyway (price drop) so I believe that's a smart way of thinking. Might do so myself - not getting it anytime *soon* but I definitely want this in my collection (which is only baby-crawling at the moment :P)
Probably not any time soon
75% off on PStore.
After watching your live gameplay video yesterday I am completely sold on this title, whereas before my feelings towards it were merely lukewarm at best. Also, thanks for another great review - they're the best on youtube IMO - and I finally wanted to give credit where's it's due.
+born2beblue hey brother thanks. Sincerly today hasn't been the most fun here. Its good to hear people appreciate it.
I don't understand all the hate FC is getting when it looks like they've made 3 really solid games and one mediocre game
asif naseri far cry 4 was still great though
I fricking loved Farcry 4 what the heck? Oh yeah, opinions
Solid and humorous review. I like how you really went into depth with all the aspects to give us a better understanding of what the game plays like. 5-6 minute reviews, like the ones IGN and GameSpot do, are simply too short and generally wont give you a good idea of what it's all about. Subscribed.
+MrStensnask thanks man
ACG no problem, dude :) I'm looking forward to playing this on PC to see what kind of graphic tweaks we can fumble with. Btw, are you planning on reviewing The Division?
+MrStensnask ya i I gt it for sure
+StopAskingMeToChangeMyName interesting I agree with that
+ACG A youtuber that actually replies!
Great review man keep it up
Amazing review as usual, Will pick this up for Pc when its released as it looks like my bag, bit sad there isnt a dancing mini-game to tame animals tho ;)
+Sloakz appreciate that man
Game is amazing is highly underrated
Just purchased this game as my first pc game. I'm running this game on ultra settings, ultra wide 1440p. 85 fps on average. The game is beautiful, but it's strange to play a game on keyboard and mouse.
Glad to see this game did well.
Can your character carry a hell of a lot of arrows or it just seems like it because of the editing? I like the fact that you can ignite the spear. Excellent review as usual, by the far the best ones I've seen in gaming. You're quite the wordsmith sir.
+Toggle AI probably just cuts
Karak man u deserve ur own bear to ride in real life. Great review as usual
+MyNdFrEaK420 appreciate that
This review is really well written! Well done ACG!
Waited for this type of setting for a while and I loved this game so much
I bought it day one.. 1 of a few things i dont like about the game is that the story is very, very short.. its gotten where im doing side things first before i finish the last quest or i wouldve finished it day 1 (ul is left, since i killed batari already)
BUT!!
OK, I wanted it, but you convinced me to go get it.
Why are you not at a million sub? Your amazing and I buy so many games after watching your reviews. Great work!!
+wheretheyhaveribs55 thanks bud
played all the far crys and this I was worried about buying but I broke down and bought it because how many caveman games are there and it was definitely worth the buy
ya so damned fun
ACG Just picked it up from a Black Friday deal cause of your review and it's the most fun I've had in a game in a long while, thanks
ACG Will I like primal, if I don't really liked the old ones?... plz reply
One of the standouts of Far Cry 4 was the shangri la missions. It was awesome. To think they made a game around it is like Black Flag taking on AC's sailing stuff. While I am sure I will have a blast, I guess I will wait for price to go down. Is there multi player (co-op or pvp)?
+gamers galore no single player only
Great review man, it really make me want to get that game :D!
+Crimson-Tone thanks CT
ACG No problem :)! I love your reviews!
Wasn't sure about this title, however your review has changed that! great review sir.
+Watchgames Playgames you bet
"Not as bad as skyrim." Those words hurt Karak, they hurt.
Great review as always..I always come check your reviews first.
+Mike Caucci thanks mike
I just hope the PC version is optimized. I skipped Far Cry 4 so picking this up.
Excellent, as always. Imma wait for a complete edition on steam, assuming it gets dlc.
i was reading through the comments on gamespot's review of fc primal, no surprise, i see people talking about ACG and the quality work you do. ;D
+techfluke right about now...that is really FUcking nice to hear thanks man
The last time I was this early....I made a lame joke.
Great review as always!
+Hans Ong Thanks Hans
Dude, that one line with the gymnast wearing the same leotard was really good. That sums up pretty much all of the people that say "RESKIN!"
"planned parent hood there their hands up and said screw it!"
subbed
thanks sir
Dude I know you get this all the time but your reviews are awesome. I come to you now before I buy anything and your always right about the game. Glad your doing this for us IMO your the best in the business!
thanks man spread the word!
IGN gave this a 7.9. I.m not sure what that means but these math scores are fuckin hillarious.
+Arya Nabavi 0.9/10, too much walking.
Most of the reviews I've seen for Primal said "Yeah this is a FarCry, just no guns and yes animals." Which didn't help at all since I've never played another FarCry before. This is exactly what I wanted, and I'm so glad you did this justice! Thanks for the review.
you bet
thank you. I legit just got this game after watching this review!
I fucking love your reviews. You are incredibly thorough and unbiased.
Calm down
Ikr
