Can I just say that I really appreciate your style? I just found you and I'm so glad that I did. You're well-spoken, concise, unpretentious, and descriptive- everything a good critic should be. Your reviews show a level of effort and thought rare for UA-cam, and they are extremely helpful and engaging. Thank you, I hope you continue to find success.
Great review. Can't wait to really get immersed in this one this evening. Something about Deus Ex just really grips you. Last week I wanted to go through a few of my old save games at random in human revolution just to get a feel of the world again. 40 hours later I had finished a complete playthrough of HR and got halfway through revision. My kind of game.
By the way, I've never supported a YT channel financially but I certainly would love to support yours via Patreon, I can't think of a channel more deserving & I'll back you up gladly Karak, pledged $25 month, best of luck man!
You're more than welcome, discovered how fantastic your reviews were via the "Mad Max" one last year, I've been hooked like a Coke Fein ever since. I wish I could do more but I had to augment your gig anyway I could man. Keep up the great momentum, I've been sharing the Hell out of your content since that first wonderful "Mad Max" profile you did, I've got a few good friends to sub as well, now they dig & look forward to your opinions like myself. I'm a 53 year old Gamer with a small passionate YT channel & I know great stuff when I come across it man, keep the pedal to the metal with the shiny side up!
Hahaha. Holy crap dude. I watched your stuff. I watched one of your videos a while back like a tribute to the xbox? I will have to go track it down! And always appreciate the heads up to fellow fans
I'm a 6th generation fanatic, back when you plug the damn game in, it was complete & timeless, without reliance on servers, updates, patches, DLC or BS, just great new IP's all day long & they worked great. I dig the modern stuff as much as the old which is why I love your new game reviews & opinions. The details & passion you bring to your original & brilliant "Walking the Walk" series puts you way ahead of other good review channels, I still get a chuckle over your witty & original "Mad Max" commentary in my memory banks, terrific man!
Karak, you are my go to guy for reviews. I don't think I'll even buy a game anymore without your recommendation. You cover all the important bases. Thank you... Keep up the stellar work, man!
First time i try this game: It is so strange. Something seems broken. 1 year passed and i try again. WOA. Great game. Nice atmosphere and boy... the guns have a punch. And you can trow a big trash can in your enemies or use it for sponge bullets while you advance to another cover.
ioannisdenton Maybe, but there's no guarantee they'd keep that up. Hell, Gearbox said in interviews Colonial Marines was a labour of love as well. We all remember how that turned out. Plus Mankind Divided is by far not as good as Human Revolution.
as a guy who never managed to get into the original pc deus ex I picked up human revolution on a whim when it was super cheap and was blown away by how much you enjoyed it. so of course I am picking this up also I hope the breach mode is not as bland as everyone has been saying
Seriously dude, you do some of the best reviews I have ever seen. You hit every point, and make it entertaining with your wording. You give constructive feedback on games, while somehow being pretty much unbiased. But I think my favorite part is your review system. Its perfect for the audience. Basically is a game worth the money. I also love how you can somehow be both critical, but just in general love video games. You can enjoy a game that has a bunch of miniature flaws. You don't get hung up on the little stuff to make the whole experience worse. You are passionate and that comes through, but you just plain love it at the same time. Hope your channel grows!
You deserve to have MILLIONS of subs... All of your reviews are awesome and I enjoy every single on of them. Good job, thank you and keep up the great work. :3
I bought this game, play a few hours and put it down for some months. Played it again and I’m glad I did. Take your time and this game will be awesome! Glad I gave it another shot.
A week ago these graphics would have not bothered me but after playing "Rise of the tomb raider" a few days ago,the Graphics of that game raised the bar a bit :)
Your reviews are incredible mate. I like the fact that you research thoroughly and explain each aspect of the game intricately. There are too many reviewers out there who give half baked reviews. Glad you are not one of them. I have ordered the game after watching this. Thanks mate!
I had never played a Deus Ex game and I was really interested in this one but I wanted to see what your opinion on it was and sure enough you sold me on it! Great review!
Subscribers don’t really help out the content provider anymore. If you can afford it you should support him on paetron. You can pay as little as $1 a month. That’s less than tax on a game!
latro Can you imagine actually BUYING or even just RENTING a game like from an ancient store called Blockbuster instead of waiting for a review by somebody who ISN’T YOU?! Imagine coming up with your own opinion on a game instead?
Human Revolution's voice acting was awesome because like half the characters were recycled from the kid's show "Arthur." Kinda kiss hearing Mr. Ratburn talking on nightly news about how dangerous augs were.
Loved the first game, can't wait to play this one! It's also nice for once to have a sequel that's not rushed through production in a year with multiple sequels lined up for the decade.
Subbed purely for the remark on intestines towards the end of the video. Loving the game so far, racked up roughly 16 hours of game time so far and only just reached Golem City
Probably my favourite game of 2016. Loved HR to pieces and I do rank this one as high. While the main story wasn't as good the sidequests were much more immersive and the level design was top notch.
Awesome Review. I can't wait to pick this game up, been playing nothing but Overwatch and Fallout 4. I'm ready for a new setting, and this looks perfect for that. I tried to enjoy Human Revolution, but I could not get past the gameplay. I'm glad to hear they improved it for this game.
I definitely asked for this... Seriously, man, I appreciate reviews. You are the No. 1 guy I go to for game reviews these days. I listen to guys like Sterling and TotalBiscuit but you always have yours out first. Props.
Nice, in depths review! I'm glad this game turned out good, as I'm a huge fan of this series. Unfortunately I can't play this game myself as my computer is far from good enough, but it's good to know I have this treat for when I finally get to build a PC :)
I gotta say, I haven't had a clear understanding of what this game was till now, I honestly thought it was a straight linear campaign that would have a few branching paths in the story based on how you play and make decisions, I feel like some of the trailers that were released were somewhat misleading about the latter. Anyways, this review has me thinking I should have took your advice on No Man's Sky and maybe got this instead or just saved the cash for any of the 4,000 AAA games coming out in the next few months. thanks for another honest and well thought out review!
Amazing review :) Thanks for the insightful comments. I was a little on the fence because of magazines saying that the story is pretty lackluster, but you convinced me to buy it :)
took me 18 hours, i used the mechanic to switch augments on/off maybe 1 or twice, but then i could not get it working for some reason. the ending sucked very much, at least for me, feels like they just wanted to sell dlc to give it a real ending. The Breach mode i didnt even Bother with, Tried to get it working´but it gave me error, so i said screw it, unintall...i hope some future dlc will make it worth installing again at some point
Thx for mentioning about the lenght of the game when counting main quest alone and with sidequests, not many outlets do that, yet its quite important if game is 60$.
Isn't it a little too Obvious in Mankind Divided that not enough time was put into developing the story and making the game feel complete and too much time spent on tacking on those damn shitty micro transactions and splitting the game into future sequels/dlc packs?
Great review as usual Karak. I know you've had your reviews posted to Bluesnews for a bit now, but I sent in a link to Blues as soon as I saw this video pop up on Patreon. And yes, UA-cam is back to not letting me know about your videos, yay. 2 days of bliss! Meh.
Great video I am interested BIg Time but i want to get on pc but my pc sucks right now and no funds for a video card. Considering console version but again the low funds show its proverbial face again.... Might just have to wait
I got it used for my Ps4 for 35$ and I think for that it´s a blast! Thanks for that great review. Nowadays almost every singleplayer game should be a "wait". I mean think about it: I only waited for two months and the price dropped to 50%... I only buy big online games like bf1 on realse. The price drop is just ridicilous with video games these days. Look at Mafia 3 33$ new on Amazon yesterday.
"Buy" Not even a wait for sale I bought this game, played it on day 1 from start to finish (and then the jensen story and then a bunch of breach mode) I still wouldn't give it more than a wait for a sale Shady dev tactics, poor optimization, unfinished feeling, and buggy as hell.
I do want to purchase the game but i play at 21:9 and i've seen gameplay with black bar's at the side. I'll be waiting for the patch that cleans it up and 100% purchase the game.
HEYNOW ~ Another Cool Guide : I was late to the Dues Ex Party as I got human revolution : 4/27/16 : never got to finish the game butt did enjoy the Graphics & Gameplay so decided to get Mankind Divided, enjoying the game butt can’t seem to play more than an hour or two, then several weeks go by before picking it up again, butt since the Witcher III Pc Goty edition - I tend to do that alot too most games 🎮 Thanx 4 Posting 🇵🇹
Thanks for the straight-up review; it's why I always look here first. Steam reviews are more unhelpful than usual with this one; almost every single negative review complains solely about single player microtransactions and offers no actual input on what makes the gameplay good or bad.
of course they do. A child can't look at the whole picture they can only look at the single instigator. Sure that sounds egotystical. But its pretty much an actual fact about how maturity alters your ability to identify cause and effect.
I'm really sick of 30fps games on console after playing alot of 60fps. it pulls me out of the immersion and feels outdated af. I know.. it's not what makes a game but meh. not gonna bother untill sales.
Great review as usual, Karak. I found the previous game had a weird dichotomy where it encouraged you to play/level your player in the stealth style, then dropped super hulk bosses on you who needed the firepower and defenses of the other skills to deal with. This seems to have been addressed, but the constant CPU usage and aug swapping seems quite tedious, esp if in longer battles. However, it is a good way to become competent with ALL your options rather than the few 'go-to's' that tend to emerge.
+Rasmus Skardenni oh i just realized you were talking about the guy in the video game. I thought you were talking about the narrorter for the review. My bad they do sound alike
The "Show, don't tell" remark is a subtly awesome one. I still remember the team from Human Revolution splooshing over it about every third sentence in their dev commentary, and already back then they didn't manage it all as well as they might have wanted.
I just need to have a few patches done for my copy so my Alienware Alpha will run it better on Medium/High settings. I still love it so far but just a note to make. Frame rate is all over the place and I can't seem to lock it at 30 FPS for some reason.
another great review! man those black out screens before a takedown are so distracting 😂
it fucking kills me
One of my best buys ever; I've replayed it 8 times so far, always a treat to tackle the different segments.
Can I just say that I really appreciate your style? I just found you and I'm so glad that I did. You're well-spoken, concise, unpretentious, and descriptive- everything a good critic should be. appreciate it Ethan
I watched IGN's review yesterday and I said, "Fuck, I gotta wait for ACG's. These people didn't tell me anything useful."
sorrty it took a bit. Not my fault on this one
Karak, your reviews never cease to entertain me and put a smile on my face.
thanks man
never liked the previous titles, but since its for free now Im gonna give it a try.
LiangHuBBB what do you think of it?
Kharn526 It was free on Games With Gold a while ago.
it was given to psplus member
i got this game for $12, and my god, it was money well spent, tgat was best $12 ever used
I got the deluxe edition which comes with everything for 9 dollars did i made a good decision?
Great review. Can't wait to really get immersed in this one this evening. Something about Deus Ex just really grips you. Last week I wanted to go through a few of my old save games at random in human revolution just to get a feel of the world again. 40 hours later I had finished a complete playthrough of HR and got halfway through revision. sup thanks spread the worth
00:20 LoL It's "almost" like you predicted that Keanu Reeves will be a part of Cyberpunk 2077... almost
Just wanted to say you're pretty much my go to channel every time I'm thinking of buying a new game, thanks mate :)
thanks
Mike Holmes only one!

Thanks. Mad Max was a great one. I laughed at how others hammered the shit out of it and here I was playing a fun little title. Same with Primal.
I know why they did it from a story standpoint, but I really missed Human Revolutions Renaissance aesthetic in this game.
I dont
Karak, you are my go to guy for reviews. I don't think I'll even buy a game anymore without your recommendation. You cover all the important bases. Thank you... Keep up the stellar work, man!
thanks
The music in the last one was really good too.
FIrst time I've watched one of your videos and I really like your style of thoroughly breaking down the review into subcategories.
thanks terry

This review format is friggin' phenomenal! Love learning about the technical aspects of the games you review. Informative & humorous. 10/10
thanks man
I bought it blindly. deus ex as a legacy deserves this
No game series deserves any blind purchases.
+duffeknol well deus ex is the labor of love from these devs. you can see it in the environment human revolution.
ioannisdenton
Maybe, but there's no guarantee they'd keep that up. Hell, Gearbox said in interviews Colonial Marines was a labour of love as well. We all remember how that turned out. Plus Mankind Divided is by far not as good as Human Revolution.
+duffeknol GTA series does
BoogieDownBx
Not even them. Seriously nothing deserves a blind purchase.

You are the best reviewer on UA-cam I've seen and one of the only ones I trust. Keep up the awesome work. It's much appreciated.
Thanks noah
the bearded shaman of gaman is never late, (or wrong). keep rockin mang.
thanks sir
I want it,but I've got to many games I need to play before buying.
+Ni ck lol, new PC and those games and here you are on UA-cam 😳... Go play lol
Ni ck lol, I just bought mad max last week but due to work I've not had chance to play yet. I won't till Thursday either. Start there maybes :)
+Ni ck Personally, I would play Dark Souls and the Metal Gear games last since you will really get sucked in. Trust me, it happened to me.
Go play Dark Souls 3, you wont need to play another game for a good while XD
get it on sale
You deserve to have MILLIONS of subs... All of your reviews are awesome and I enjoy every single on of them. Good job, thank you and keep up the great work. :3
But do I get my man Sarif?! All I want to hear is ONE "Aaaadam!" and I'm immediately sold.
Not the same actor but he is there.
He's in there but the old voice actor declined to be in this game because of some conflict with the studio. So, no more "AAAADAAM"
*HERESY.*
+disinfect777 noooooo proxyuyyyy sollidddiiieerrrrrssssss
I bought this game, play a few hours and put it down for some months. Played it again and I’m glad I did. Take your time and this game will be awesome! Glad I gave it another shot.
You have really prompt and detailed reviews, great!
+sidewinder2057 thanks man
Karak is my steam sale sherpa guiding me through the Himalayan avalanche of purchasing decision making in 2017!
A week ago these graphics would have not bothered me but after playing "Rise of the tomb raider" a few days ago,the Graphics of that game raised the bar a bit :)
I think these graphics are great, but yeah ROTTR on pc rivals uncharted 4.
Uncharted 4 raised the bar to ridiculous heights.
I don't care about graphics though, so it's ok.
Uncharted 4 is one of the best looking games I've ever played, especially with facial animations. The script is excellent too.
Ehh once you go to 144hz 1440p on PC.... uncharted 4 looks like pong.. but hey... Dont feel bad... jk xD
+Victoria Pearson the pacing is horrible
Your reviews are incredible mate. I like the fact that you research thoroughly and explain each aspect of the game intricately. There are too many reviewers out there who give half baked reviews. Glad you are not one of them. I have ordered the game after watching this. Thanks mate!
appreciate that
HAHA! 4:53 looks like me getting out of bed in the morning.
I had never played a Deus Ex game and I was really interested in this one but I wanted to see what your opinion on it was and sure enough you sold me on it! Great review!
it great
+ACG It looks great! I can't wait to pick it up!
New subscriber here, you're definitely one of the best game reviewers out there. Keep up the good work!
thanks
Luigiz28 agree
Subscribers don’t really help out the content provider anymore. If you can afford it you should support him on paetron. You can pay as little as $1 a month. That’s less than tax on a game!
This is one of the most beautiful, immersive games I have played in a while.
I dont buy games till you review them these days XD
latro Can you imagine actually BUYING or even just RENTING a game like from an ancient store called Blockbuster instead of waiting for a review by somebody who ISN’T YOU?! Imagine coming up with your own opinion on a game instead?
Love the cerebral commentary. Much better reviews than I am used to. subbed.
You're videos are really really good. You need more exposure or something, because you should have a far greater number of subscribers!
thanks
I agree
Waiting for my pre-load to unlock, great review! I love it when a game I like is actually good
appreciate it
This game is definitely amazing!
Human Revolution's voice acting was awesome because like half the characters were recycled from the kid's show "Arthur." Kinda kiss hearing Mr. Ratburn talking on nightly news about how dangerous augs were.
Great review, can't wait to get my augmented hands on this title!
+G204U2NV thanks
Loved the first game, can't wait to play this one! It's also nice for once to have a sequel that's not rushed through production in a year with multiple sequels lined up for the decade.
You mean the first Deus Ex with JC Denton? There's been quite a few sequels, aside from invisible war I don't think any of them felt rushed
I mean the first of the Jensen Saga. I've also played Invisible War but not the original yet
i don't know why but there's just something off about this game
it looks so stiff and linear
its too short thats what it is
TheNextRenegade Gaming and the story seems less interesting than the last game. to me anyway
Jack M Recommend playing it if you're interested in Deus Ex itself cause it's setting itself up for Deus Ex 3.
Shady B You mean Deux Ex 5
Subbed purely for the remark on intestines towards the end of the video. Loving the game so far, racked up roughly 16 hours of game time so far and only just reached Golem City
lol thanks man.
Awesome review, as always, man, I am curious about this game, cause I live in the Czech Republic and I know real Prague a lot :D
appreciate that
Probably my favourite game of 2016.
I'm glad to hear they improved it for this game.
ya loved it
I definitely asked for this...
Seriously, man, I appreciate reviews. You are the No. 1 guy I go to for game reviews these days. I listen to guys like Sterling and TotalBiscuit but you always have yours out first. Props.
thanks brother
Nice, in depths review! I'm glad this game turned out good, as I'm a huge fan of this series.
Unfortunately I can't play this game myself as my computer is far from good enough, but it's good to know I have this treat for when I finally get to build a PC :)
thanks
The Einstein reference when describing the lip synching had me rofl. Great as always - thanks for damaging my bank account balance some more ;)
Another masterful review..
Hey sir. Thanks man. Appreciate it
I gotta say, I haven't had a clear understanding of what this game was till now, I honestly thought it was a straight linear campaign that would have a few branching paths in the story based on how you play and make decisions, I feel like some of the trailers that were released were somewhat misleading about the latter. Anyways, this review has me thinking I should have took your advice on No Man's Sky and maybe got this instead or just saved the cash for any of the 4,000 AAA games coming out in the next few months. thanks for another honest and well thought out review!
Glad you liked it
Real shame about the mechanical apartheid being half assed, I was really looking forward to seeing how they'd handle that.
Me too. None of the reviews even mention the story, so I guess it is a throw-away.
Its fine until you get to rucker but after that it does feel throw-away. IMO.But still its not that bad.
I'd say it's about on par with HR. It's a Deus Ex game through and through with a with a story very worthy of the franchise.
It's not really about the apartheid. It's more man's inhumanity to man. Same as always.
Amazing review :) Thanks for the insightful comments. I was a little on the fence because of magazines saying that the story is pretty lackluster, but you convinced me to buy it :)
appreciate it
took me 18 hours, i used the mechanic to switch augments on/off maybe 1 or twice, but then i could not get it working for some reason. the ending sucked very much, at least for me, feels like they just wanted to sell dlc to give it a real ending. I wait for your reviews because they're the best. Love the wordplay and witty humor, and the thought you put into them. Thanks!
thanks
Have played Deus Ex HR multiple times and this sounds like another winner. Good review!
+david hutchins thanks man
Great review. I really feel ACG has been the best reviewer on UA-cam for years now.
Sup thanks Zidro
I've watched so many of these videos, they're great and handy as shit in weeding out the great and terrible games. Subscribed, thanks brother!
thanks
Thx for mentioning about the lenght of the game when counting main quest alone and with sidequests, not many outlets do that, yet its quite important if game is 60$.
you bet
Isn't it a little too Obvious in Mankind Divided that not enough time was put into developing the story and making the game feel complete and too much time spent on tacking on those damn shitty micro transactions and splitting the game into future sequels/dlc packs?
Joel C mostl likely a sequel they want it to be a trilogy
Great review as usual Karak. I know you've had your reviews posted to Bluesnews for a bit now, but I sent in a link to Blues as soon as I saw this video pop up on Patreon.
And yes, UA-cam is back to not letting me know about your videos, yay. 2 days of bliss! Meh.
great review.! will probably pick it up on a later date.
thanks
God these reviews are sooooo good mate. Your channel has been my first stop for reviews for over a year now :)
+JotunTV thanks man
I'm so hyped to play this tomorrow
your in for a treat
+ACG I've got it preloaded
Great video
I am interested BIg Time but i want to get on pc but my pc sucks right now and no funds for a video card. Considering console version but again the low funds show its proverbial face again.... Might just have to wait
Person of Interest raspy voice hahahaha. Jensen could well be the Man in the Trench Coat!!!
Indeed
Gonna buy it today. As for HR, I did do multiple playthroughs, which I usually don't do. And I will miss the yellow filter from HR, it was cool.
Saaame multiple playthroughs and i dont even do that. The series as a whole is a gem even the old ones
Really great reviews, dude. You put IGN and Gamespot to shame.
spread the word if you can Luke
I got it used for my Ps4 for 35$ and I think for that it´s a blast! Thanks for that great review. Nowadays almost every singleplayer game should be a "wait". Look at Mafia 3 33$ new on Amazon yesterday.
I wonder if Square Enix is going to port Deus Ex to Linux. Like they did with Tomb Raider. I mean, why not.
Great review as always , all points covered and spoiler free. Now even more hyped for this than I was before....
thanks man
"Buy"
Not even a wait for sale
I bought this game, played it on day 1 from start to finish (and then the jensen story and then a bunch of breach mode)
I still wouldn't give it more than a wait for a sale
Shady dev tactics, poor optimization, unfinished feeling, and buggy as hell.
I do want to purchase the game but i play at 21:9 and i've seen gameplay with black bar's at the side. I'll be waiting for the patch that cleans it up and 100% purchase the game.
got my finger hovering over the buy button on steam pending this review
there yuou go
Thanks man! I'm definitely gonna pick this up later today at Gamestop for the Ps4! Great review as always
Fking buy it. you wont get any other cyberpunk games

It's 2016... and Silent Hill 3/4 got better facial animations than this game.
Quite untrue. But I do love me some hyperbole!
I'm sure the audio timing will be patched
God i miss so much silent hill games , they are so good .
Still better than Fallout 4 ;)
Yep this is really odd, but you can't top Fallout 4 and DA Inquisition ...i still got nightmares .
Nice. I can always rely on you for a review. Thumbs up before even watching.
thanks tres spread the word
Great review as always BTW 👍
thanks Sarkar spread the word.
Will do
Still here watching the videos brotha..great first to go to reviews as always..now this I'm really hyped for, cant wait to pick it up this week
appreciate it
Many watermelons died ☺️
Great review, can't wait to play it.
+Rigged for Epic poor little dudes

Definitely a buy. I wish they would add a coop campaign multiplayer.
always look forward to your reviews, thanks ACG
thanks

I don't even need to watch this video to know that it's a buy. ; )
Just as I suspected! ; )
+AJ Singh are you some sort of future knowing wizard
+light819 😂

AJ Singh fat joker cool
Man you are awesome, you became my no.1 source for gameplay and reviews, keep up the good work.

The voice reminds me of that guy from the Witcher 3
Geralt ?
Yeah, something like that
+Rasmus Skardenni couldnt sound more diffrent then geralt. You must mean someone else
The Soap Pope Well they are both whisper-talking
+Rasmus Skardenni oh i just realized you were talking about the guy in the video game. I thought you were talking about the narrorter for the review. My bad they do sound alike
Thanks ACG, always love your review. Always trust and recommend your opinion.
thanks
Jensen looks and sounds like the biggest geek imaginable, perhaps the least badass, badass ever.
ya I love his whispertalk
..and I don't mean the good type of geek.. The type of geek who wears sunglasses inside lol
Is that somehow a bad geek. Has nothing to do with geek lol. I just saw someone doing that like 45 minutes ago hahaha :)
+ACG If you're high and need to cover up your bloodshot eyes I can accept it, otherwise I am a total inside sunglasses wearing bigot I'm afraid
+Lewis Martin he sounds like christian bale batman to be honest lol
The "Show, don't tell" remark is a subtly awesome one. I still remember the team from Human Revolution splooshing over it about every third sentence in their dev commentary, and already back then they didn't manage it all as well as they might have wanted.
glad you liked it
as always .. super
thanks
I just need to have a few patches done for my copy so my Alienware Alpha will run it better on Medium/High settings. I still love it so far but just a note to make. Frame rate is all over the place and I can't seem to lock it at 30 FPS for some reason.
"No Disassemble" :)
I was waiting for this review and weren't disappointed :)
thanks
its free on PS4!!
i srsly love your eviews. not only are they really helpful and competent, the script is also genius and hilarious. great work :)
