Enemies and bosses dying from mere bullets and steel rods is a metaphor!! It's mental representation of the player's mind managing to defeat any obstacles and stay sane. Also the first game's story was very straight forward and fairly shallow at places.
I mean for me, considering monsters don't exist ayway, I don't see why bullets wouldn't kill them. That and I'd rather have that die from bullets than having to run from everything, all the time :^] *Looking at Outlast 2*
My thoughts exactly. Besides I think he was just nitpicking. He also called the game enemy within. For someone who reviews and critique's a game he needs to work on critiquing his own shit.
Can't tell if you are joking but no. The Enemy within is a joke he referenced about this game almost 4 weeks ago. You should probably keep up on stuff. There is a reason it was mentioned when it was.
This game looks way better than the first one. Not only that but it runs a LOT better. Digital Foundry confirmed this. I am starting to wonder if you actually played the game as what you say just doesn't seem to match with the game.
because its still running in id Tech 5 with hardly coded and rework some textures apparently and fixing lot's of lot's issues such as camera work instead of cinematic blackbars and shifting to phyiscally based rendering and it became the STEM Engine by Tango Gameworks
Bit late for this but you're right, this looks much sharper than the original and is just as detailed if not more, the difference is in the artistic decisions. Whereas the original went for a gritty and brutal style all the way, the sequel aims to be more clean. Also this one does run better. I have an 8th gen i5 4core, 8GB ddr4 and 1050ti and I just cannot get the original to run, at all. I have like 15-20fps regardless of settings. On the other hand the sequel runs at 1080p med/high settings at near cosntant 60fps. I don't know what they did with the first one but for me it's unplayable even though it should run just fine. For reference the only other game that has given me trouble is BFV with 64 players, that one I can only play on 32p servers as the doubled player amount messes my fps (may be due to ram, I think if I upgraded to 16gb it should work). Every other modern title runs like a charm on high settings/1080p
Dude I love how you break games down. People often care more about one thing (graphics, or soundtrack) and that may persuade someone to pick up a title with lower reviews. A lot of reviewers don't even talk about soundtracks or sound, so thank you for everything you do.
i havent played it yet so take what i say with a grain of salt but according to what ive heard its like the evil within 1 which is to say its not scary in the slightest and is far more focused on action and shooting elements than it is on actual horror and is kinda torn between genres as mrmattyplays put it. so if the information i heard was correct fear factor is almost zero but again i haven't played the game yet so i recommend watching a lets play to see if this game looks scary to you.
I heard that, didn't think that summarized the entire game though, Evil Within 1 had some awesome boss fights that were down right horrifying, wondered if there was any stand out shocking moments or some good spooks along the way.
For me it was ridiculous fun, I loved it...There's so much RE4-ish stuff in this game, you could easily call it a spiritual successor! Yeah it's filled with dumb and quirky stuff that you can only see in a game made by a Japanese developer, but that only adds to the charm!
Welcome to The enemy within. lol. Lets see how many folks trigger on a late comment. No current PS4pro support. Summary Ok game and its actually coming out 13th not 12 sorry.
ACG gawd dayum, I thought I am deaf. Then I thought it's kinda easter egg for prince of persia II. Then I thought you tried your loyal subscribers for attentiveness. I ended up thinking it's illuminati who hypnotized the whole world to think it's actually EVIL within instead of its real name ENEMY within, while it didn't affect you - the only person on the planet who wasn't hypnotized and the hole point of your channel is to hide hints so that people wake up. So you misspelled it very cleverly, like it's an accident... but it's not... ENEMY within = enemy is close = enemies are within the crowd = illuminati confirmed.
I want to point out that ammo crafting "on the go" requires more resources than on the crafting table. I think it's a good design choice since it still incentivize you to set up in advance due to the scarcity of ammo while leaving you open the possibility to craft something when in dire need.
ACG To be fair when you throw 800 reference jokes at us per episode some are bound to miss. Same goes for Archer and John Oliver. We haven't played or seen exactly everything you've played or seen. Still your review was great as always.
I did enjoy the first The Evil Within. The controls were undoubtedly awkward, but I found a lot to like. I'm never much of a "flashback or mind trip" fan where there's not a clear presence of space and time as I like a strong clearly defined narrative usually, but I really did enjoy the horror elements, gunplay, and plot progression. Karak, do you think this is a more enjoyable game as a whole than the first game? Anyone else is welcome to present their opinion. I would appreciate it.
At this point I'm watching all your reviews, regardless of caring about the game or not. Thanks for all your hard work man, the high attention to detail proves how much you care about what you do.
I’ve already bought and downloaded this game can’t wait to play. Although it’s not perfect, the first Evil Within along with its DLC’s were very enjoyable to me. I rate games by experience. Some of my best gaming experiences were with outstanding games. Evil within was a very enjoyable and memorable experience and can’t wait to experience The Evil Within 2. I just wish I had a PS4 Pro to do it lol.
Shouldn't be surprised on the graphics as as mentioned uses the same engine as the first. IMO the important parts of a survival horror is the audio and working gameplay mechanics.
Why did they change Sebastian's voice!? How disappointing! I know it wasn't good in the original by any stretch of the imagination, but it had that same "charm" that the original Resident Evil games had...it just worked.
They changed it because the original ones were still on strike when this one was in development. That's just the way it works. At least it's tolerable enough to take the story seriously.
Mr. Zalgo Exactly what Capcom did to Frank West in Dead Rising 4: they replaced TJ Rotolo with Ty Olsson because of the strike. Ty Olsson did great, though.
Silent Hill Homecoming was the first game I got every achievement for so not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing considering that game wasn’t received that well.
Still pretty hyped to check this out. Seeing some online retailers have it for $40ish on PC already, might have to dive in. Good review brother. Looking forward to south park
I loved the first game. Yes, Seb controls like a tank but that's part of why I like the game. If you could move like a ninja then it wouldn't be as fun or tense. How does it compare to the first game? Does it still take you to surprising places? Still bought it regardless and can't wait to play it tomorrow night after work.
I absolutely love this game! All of these criticisms are fair, but the culmination of the overall experience, warts and all, made this an absolute must play game imo. A buy!
MyW0 definitely a great game! I personally like the 1st game alot more, but it's still an awesome game. What did you end up thinking of it? What mode did you play it on?
The thing I liked about the first game was the griminess and nasty look to it. It almost looked like it was shot on a old camera full of film grain. The second one looks too clean. They just added a bunch of fog and called it a day.
Can’t wait to pick this up!! Hope I’m able to grab it early 9pm at GameStop. I had to use trade ins for the first time in a while due to the Xbox One X coming soon and Super Mario Odyssey and Wolfenstein II. Love to hear what you think regardless
great review as usual , and yeah the story is all over the place even when u watch a recap video for the first game i still feel kinda lost ?! also at 14:20 " Enemy Within 2 " xD
I am hoping this one stands better on it's own than the original. Somehow I could not shake the idea that Evil Within was a greatest hits of RE4 lol Times like these, I am glad I have a rental option :)
TheLWebb100 I agree. I actually hate open world games, depending on what type of game, the thing with open world games is there's a lot more code. That means it's going to have a lot of glitches and weird bugs. I haven't read much about the game because when I buy it because I don't want to be spoiled beforehand but the only way I could see this working as open world is if there were many many weapons or upgrades to said weapons only obtainable via going out of your way to do a side quest. I enjoy linear games a lot more. Especially when they are games like this. This one is meant to be linear, imo. I enjoyed the first one however so I will be getting it... then again the south park game is coming out when I get paid. Considering the first South park was so lengthy it might be worth my money, more so than this.
Couldn't agree more. Open world games have their place, but does every single game have to be open world these days? Graphics and gameplay usually take a hit because so much development is spent on making the game so expansive. I'll take quality over quantity anyday. Look at RE7. A great game that benefited from the polish of not having to waste time on open world nonsense. Same with Last of Us.
As a person who has played EW1, and completed EW2 on Nightmare difficulty(easily), I agree open world damaged 1st game's unique and mostly(delibaretely or not but it worked) disconnected atmopshere. The fact that you can make your self seen to Lost(zombies) and run away, then they backpedal their scripted location and route completely misses the point. Even bosses has that backpedaling. First game had narrow corridors and very little open areas that you can escape. The zombies were running after you literally so they were more dangereous technically. For me there was only 1 difficult boss fight. Others are easy and not time consuming. Very little boss encounters. Perhaps it is known now you are in Stem removing 1st game's mystery but there are more elements than this to contribute aforementioned. You become pretty powerful after some upgrades to Sebastian and weapons. In EW1 some chapters were pretty major and hard. There is only 1 maybe 2 difficult encounters apart from boss fights and they never spread to entire chapter giving a hard time isolating as a special chapter. Furthermore there is no match burning corpses( albeit poorly implemented in the 1st), no traps, no hiding in closets or under bed. Fact that you can craft ammo on the go breaks difficulty and tension. No real antogonist. However if finding new items, exploring, a concluded story, better technical aspects from the 1st game in every way, some good art direction in certain parts, more coherent chapters and location is your thing for the sequel then you might very well enjoy the EW2. Just dont expect the horror factor and secretive, mysterious atmosphere. I could say I was waiting much more..This type of story and game doesnt come up often.
Yep thats the thing with the evil within 2, it feels like a jack of all trade.. an open world action horror survival stealth.. its as if the developers wanna please the whole world population of gamers.. but you cant.. congrats acg really a great review as always delivered in the most detailed and funny way possible^^
It is strange that they stuck with Id Tech 5, when the rest of Bethesda's games (including the upcoming Wolfenstein II) have transitioned to Id Tech 6 (Doom's engine). No wonder you thought it looked a little behind the curve, graphically.
If I was a big fan of the first game (only problems I had was with how much the story relied on picking up documents and the glitch where the game wouldn't load unless I did a hard reset of my console) would you recommend I get it at full price? I got the first one at release (cause Shinji Mikami's name was on it).
1 hour and not even a single comment? Welp here is the first. I'm watching the video rn and I'm so happy that yours is the first review I see. Hope it's better than the 1st
Thank you as always for the depth and intelligence. I was really hopeful as I liked the original flaws and all. An I love Bethesda. Sounds like again the development team needs to focus more on story and less on getting this out quick. @ACG what percentage would you say of bad games or less then should/could of been games are not all they can be due to greed and being rushed? 50%? 75%? :(.
Finished it last week and i dont agree with karak at all on this one, maybe its because i actually liked parts of the first one, but The Evil Within 2 is one of the best games i've played this year, the story was incredible, they left nothing and went in 100%. The team has fixed nearly every flaw of the first one, the world has two big hub areas apart from the small environment, but things happen all the time, its filled with great story content.
l've beaten this game many times and it's not an open world ,it IS free roaming though but the "open world " label is incorrect ,since ow are those games in which several (2,3 or more) landscapes are depicted without loading screens in between , the maps are way larger ,and most OW games feature vehices / horses to avoid hours of jogging from point a to point b
Love your reviews dude, always filled with great points and useful information. Been waiting for your thoughts on Evil Within 2, please up the good work and excellent reviews (y)
honestly it feels alot like silent hill and the last of us, I personally love the clunky feel to the character and the simple yet satisfying stealth mechanics, it's a straight upgrade to the original which is rare for a sequel these days, I havnt beaten it yet and I've only played for about 4 hours now but I have to say if youve got the spare €70 you should definitely pick it up or if you're not big into the clunky resident Evil/silent hill type of gameplay just wait for a sale but I definitely think everyone should give this game a go because its the first game I've bought in a long time where I've said to myself wow this is actually pretty fun
The first one was amazing and very creepy, u can only imagine this is the same. Excited to dive into this, u can get it pretty cheap right now. Def play the first if u haven't, atmosphere was great and sets up this game some I believe
"Sup everybody it's Karak from ACG, it's that time to blah blah blah...." You make it seem so easy. I can listen to you all day. Thanks for the review, dude!
and you think evil within 1 was? lol scariness only lasted till like the first chapter then it just died. You're too busy worrying about the ammo and trying to stay alive to worry about the scariness.
20$ on PSN. Downloading as soon as direct deposit cashes in, it's rare to see 60$ games dropped so low. I avoided it at first, thinking I didn't want an open world Evil Within. I really like the structured feel of games like the first one, Silent Hill or Resident Evil, but after replaying E.W. today, my preferred stealth approach to conserve ammo might be better in an open world setting, more than I thought initially. Makes me think of MGS5, I never asked for an open world MGS game, but when I saw the potential I preordered right away and was playing it exactly midnight when it released. I'm hoping open world Evil Within can up encounters much like MGS5 did
Damn was really looking forward to this. I also thought Evil Within was ok but if they make a sequel it will be amazing. Man I just want another Resident Evil 4.
I usually agree with ACG. But I don't agree with this review's conclusion of Rent/Wait for deep sale. It's a good, enjoyable game. Much better than the first, and worth a buy imo. If you liked RE4, you will like this.
Dude, you are so fucking fast with all these reviews, hahaha, amazing stuff. It's like you the Sonic the Hedgehog of game reviews in terms of speed but Mario in terms of quality. Keep up the great work!
What I also hate about EW2 by looking at it, it doesn't even had a dynamic color palette. Evil Within's barn section had this Saturated Color pallete, then the mansion focuses low contrast, then asylum focuses on saturating one color to emphasize each terror, then the catacombs focuses on the brown making it feel like an old painting as that section is in fact old. EW2 feels like they only used 1 color palette for every section.
Awesome content as always Karak, and did you notice you said The Enemy Within 2 at 14:21. I was thinking about buying this one but there are so much good games coming out this month and the next so i'll skip this one
The first rating ACG has ever given that I disagree with but I understand that rating. Despite this one differing opinion ACG will always be where I go to determine if I should pick up a game - the best reviewer on UA-cam by far!
I will try! With a Job, Wife, and 2 Kids it is a little difficult but games like this the wife just tells me what to do and I get to play so it is a nice little balance and lets me play a few more games! Now I just need Wolfenstein II to come out and get a lock for the door! Thanks for the fantastic reviews!
I agree with your opinion over the change of look. The last evil within felt more authentic with the artistic style making every scene look like almost like a painting. They changed the art style, looks more modern. I will absolutely love this addition, just the first will probably still be my favorite because of the overall look and feel of the game which doesnt feel as modern as this one. Like even the way he looks in the first is so much cooler than how he looks now which is just modern. I loved that white shirt loose tie look.
What? No comments and 20k views? Great review Karak, I just finished the first Evil Within with the 3 DLC and I loved it but it seems this one is not a great improvement! I will wait for a sale and get Outlast 2! :)
sucks too hear the bosses are not all that, was one of my favorite aspects of the first one. Also not sure im digging the open world, the tight corridors, no where to run aspect of the first made it so tense
I’m not going to lie I get where your coming from but the open world makes it challenging then just a straight shot to the mission. It’s actually controller gripping and fun.
R1 Gaming this game has plenty of grit & tension. ACG seems to pick apart the game without focussing on what survival horror fans want & love. You'll enjoy it.
ACG i really have your reviews on the top of my interest before buying. Just great job man. Keep it up. My favourite section is the differences in difficulty settings. Cant believe you are the only 1 that does it. So important to me.
Hey Karrak big fan, love your reviews watched all of em since gtaV. Not sure if these are spoilers but “17 chapters” and “brass knuckles you unlock at the end” sure sound like spoilers. Maybe I’m wrong and they tell you that from the begging? please try not to spoil, but other than that keep up the great work! Thnanks
MR C I wouldn’t call “17 chapters” or the weapon you get spoilers because he didn’t say anything about what happens in every chapter. If anything it tells you about the amount of story missions in the game to see if it’s worth the money or not
ACG Sorry I never played the first one, so seeing his hub based it just shows you all of the chapters grayed out at the beginning? Also would you be more inclined to recommend this game to a resident evil fan?
I was locked in on the review until I heard the comment about the liver leaving during the next bowel movement! You sir are excellent with the wordplay and at the same time are a damn fool! Can’t stop laughing; well done as, always! Thanks for the review!!!
Not as scary as the first one, so I'd say a solid 5. There's a few jump scares that might get you. Other than that. Meh, not really that scary. The difficulty on the other hand depends on your ability to conserve ammo. But at the same time you can craft ammo in the middle of a fight. And how it's the same enemy just different variations of them, you can stealth kill just about everything in one hit. So that makes the game not that difficult.
I wanted to drop by and say thanks for another very informative review. This usually isn't my kind of game but for some reason it keeps grabbing my attention. After watching your review it's pretty clear to me that I should give it a pass for now, though. One thing: @ 14:18 - I don't think you planned on talking about XCOM 2 in this review. ;)
I’m relieved to see they improved the character models, so it doesn’t look quite as much like a remastered PS3 game anymore. I still think they could have done better, but I’m really looking forward to playing it.

14:19 ...I actually enjoyed a great deal of what was going with *Enemy* Within 2...
Wait what?
Hahah. Okay good, I thought I was hearing things
I thought that was called x-com 2... idk -_-?
wait, this isn't Knack 2??
He actually moves weird because of all the vowels in his last name.
hahaha
Haha, this is an underrated comment.
Well you thought EW1 was meh and I absolutely loved it so I'm hyped for this as well
huh lol
Well I'm good with $32 on cdkeys lol
Alex Silent Hill Downpour pulled off a more open world horror game. It wasn't 100% open world, of course...and I doubt TEW2 will be either.
to me its a must buy. been playing it a lot. Such a great game and ACG is wrong on many points
Dude I love how you break games down. People often care more about one thing (graphics, or soundtrack) and that may persuade someone to pick up a title with lower reviews.
A lot of reviewers don't even talk about soundtracks or sound, so thank you for everything you do.
Didn't mention anything about fear factor, is it scary or intense at times?
DefendTheHouse Ayyy when your next Mythbusters coming out ?
i havent played it yet so take what i say with a grain of salt but according to what ive heard its like the evil within 1 which is to say its not scary in the slightest and is far more focused on action and shooting elements than it is on actual horror and is kinda torn between genres as mrmattyplays put it. so if the information i heard was correct fear factor is almost zero but again i haven't played the game yet so i recommend watching a lets play to see if this game looks scary to you.
Haha you're a long way from the battlefield soldier!
I heard that, didn't think that summarized the entire game though, Evil Within 1 had some awesome boss fights that were down right horrifying, wondered if there was any stand out shocking moments or some good spooks along the way.
Murdered Yakuza you said what i was thinking. Nice!

No current PS4pro support.
Summary
Ok game and its actually coming out 13th not 12 sorry.
ACG my gamestop is releasing it at 9pm tonight so you're not completely wrong
I'm playing it on 12th over here in South East Asia (which is exactly the same time) so you're correct anyway :D
Chris Allen same here!
@ACG Would $31.82 be a fair price for the pc version
ACG gawd dayum, I thought I am deaf. Then I thought it's kinda easter egg for prince of persia II. Then I thought you tried your loyal subscribers for attentiveness. Well done Karak, this is a buy for me .
thanks
Enemy Within 2 lol
I think like only 3-4 people got the reference. They DID get the Alan Wake WOKE one. Maybe I need to be more in your face with my wordplay lol
Ya noticed that too lol
ACG To be fair when you throw 800 reference jokes at us per episode some are bound to miss. Same goes for Archer and John Oliver. We haven't played or seen exactly everything you've played or seen. Still your review was great as always.
I think its why I love them. I am always like. Did he just do that on purpose. but it instantly proves he beat them game lol
I did enjoy the first The Evil Within. The controls were undoubtedly awkward, but I found a lot to like. MrWhiteProductions And tbh the original game was...meh at least for me.
Gfx/framerate are WAY better on ps4.
Mate ! When is your Shadow of War review coming out?
But good job on this to bring this out before others could.
Kudos Karak
correct
So no review then I guess? Would love to know if it's worth getting or not (I don't trust those other guys)
Kratos BillQuill 2010 bro the evil within is much better than outlast
hell yeah we have another God of War fanboy , welcome to the party :D
Ill tell you right now, skip it
Why did they change Sebastian's voice!? How disappointing! I know it wasn't good in the original by any stretch of the imagination, but it had that same "charm" that the original Resident Evil games had...it just worked.
not sure
i liked the hoarse, deep voice sebastion had in the original, it had a charm on me like you said.

Mr. Zalgo Exactly what Capcom did to Frank West in Dead Rising 4: they replaced TJ Rotolo with Ty Olsson because of the strike. Ty Olsson did great, though.
The voice actors union was stiking until recently, maybe the original voice actor was on strike.
I'm excited! This looks like a modern Resident Evil 4! AWESOME!
Saniss48 It's actually alot more like a modern silent hill homecoming tbh
Store Brand Samuel L. Jackson beat me to it, was going to add, without the fog
I think you should play the first one
I’ve been on chapter 3 for about 4 hours looting the entire town 😂. Game is lots of fun.
Silent Hill Homecoming was the first game I got every achievement for so not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing considering that game wasn’t received that well.
I’ll take good sound design over graphics any day, hate how ambience is low in the mix in so many games
me as well love good sound
3:57 that's definitely some shining influenced carpet right there.
Hub based open world just like in the newer tomb raider games?
Sounds like a buy for me
enjoy!
Still pretty hyped to check this out. Seeing some online retailers have it for $40ish on PC already, might have to dive in. Good review brother. Looking forward to south park

glad you liked
I'm definitely buying it! Not waiting for a sale.
Jack Reacher c d key 33.99 🤓
Jack Reacher it's really good!
Buy it on pc if you can. Worlds better. The camera doesnt move like its stuck in quicksand and the field of view isnt locked at that god awful 65.
Great review! Been waiting for Evil Within 2, and now you sealed the deal
my man
MyW0 definitely a great game! I personally like the 1st game alot more, but it's still an awesome game. What did you end up thinking of it? What mode did you play it on?

Love to hear what you think regardless
I think I'm just going to rent this from Blockbuster.
or redbox, bluebox, gamefly or all the others
Stadium ARTs I see what you did there
What is this blockbuster you speak of?
Just hearing the name Blockbuster puts me into a deep dark depression. My childhood has vanished :'(
Blockbuster still exists?? jesus
11:05 hahaha you shot the guy instead of the zombie XD
thx for the review as always
I did
Is anyone else put off by the open world aspect of the game? I think a survival horror game should be linear.
great review as usual , and yeah the story is all over the place even when u watch a recap video for the first game i still feel kinda lost ?! also at 14:20 " Enemy Within 2 " xD
;) few folks got the reference
A little disappointed by it being a deep deep sale / rent , I'll probably get it since it reminds me of a modern day silent hill game
He said its not a deep sale
It was just a wait for sale
It's already $30 on cdkeys i think, check it out!
Denzel Romero It's so good, this was a harsh review. I promise you will enjoy it
Denzel Romero don't listen to this review. Game is deffently a buy. Better then the first one .
11:05 You killed him haha!
Great review as always.
Cheers!
I am hoping this one stands better on it's own than the original. Somehow I could not shake the idea that Evil Within was a greatest hits of RE4 lol Times like these, I am glad I have a rental option :)
Finished this today...I honestly wanted the 1st game more...prolly because of number of bosses?
I REALLY wish they wouldn't of made this more open, not every game needs to be non linear.
Also south park is open world, sorta. That's how you do it.
Well you cant generalize games like zelda botw has very few glitches and bugs
Couldn't agree more. Open world games have their place, but does every single game have to be open world these days? Graphics and gameplay usually take a hit because so much development is spent on making the game so expansive. I'll take quality over quantity anyday.
Look at RE7. A great game that benefited from the polish of not having to waste time on open world nonsense. Same with Last of Us.
Yeah I agree. What's the bet that Bethesda forced them to make it open world?
I loved the first one and I am 12 chapters into the 2nd. If you want to play a mash-up of Silent Hill and Resident Evil, this is it.
The one thing I can certainly appreciate in terms of EW1 changes is that Sebastion no longer has a weird running animation.
Are you going to review Divinity original sin 2 ?
Fuck yeah, please review this GOTY material
RPG of the year and GOTY contender for sure
ahh more book less game
Yep thats the thing with the evil within 2, it feels like a jack of all trade.. an open world action horror survival stealth.. its as if the developers wanna please the whole world population of gamers.. but you cant.. congrats acg really a great review as always delivered in the most detailed and funny way possible^^
I liked part 1. It had a more Resident Evil/Silent Hill feel to it. Part 2 from the looks of it reminds me of The Last Of Us.
@ 11:05 is why I'm never coming back to America, we aren't safe even when the demons attack! LOL! Good review as always man!
I actually enjoyed the linear story based of the first. The setups and environments were creepy af.
Honestly I feel like the story was just fine in this game. It also focused a bit more on developing sebastians character than the 1st game did.
l've beaten this game many times and it's not an open world ,it IS free roaming though but the "open world " label is incorrect ,since ow are those games in which several (2,3 or more) landscapes are depicted without loading screens in between , the maps are way larger ,and most OW games feature vehices / horses to avoid hours of jogging from point a to point b
good for you man. Happy to hear people liking any quality of title if they spent money on it
Love your reviews dude, always filled with great points and useful information.
" He runs like he's got a 10lb sausage crap on deck and he's looking for a down load spot." This is why I ACG.
I really dig tour reviews man, I generally don't buy a "new release" game until I've gotten the green-light from you.
Great sequel and great game, but it didn't top number 1 for me. This was a easy 9.25, number one was a easy 10.
His reviews are the 1st ones I trust. He nails everything. Other reviewers should take lessons from ACG
Thanks for the review, dude!
sure
You're crazy, this game looks alot better than the first.
Aron Redfield I think he’s talking about it graphics wise
Aron Redfield Outlast 2s atmosphere was fine. It's problem was that ppl are getting tired of countless hide & seek sections and no combat
and you think evil within 1 was? lol scariness only lasted till like the first chapter then it just died. You're too busy worrying about the ammo and trying to stay alive to worry about the scariness.
I was like wtf when he said it doesn't really look better :o The 1st game looks like crap imo.
time to visit an ophthalmologist
got it for 60 euro freaking loved it. But i likes the first one too the ending was really good
Deadspace2 is the closest you'll get to one
I usually agree with ACG. But I don't agree with this review's conclusion of Rent/Wait for deep sale.
It's a good, enjoyable game. Much better than the first, and worth a buy imo. If you liked RE4, you will like this.
Dude, you are so fucking fast with all these reviews, hahaha, amazing stuff. It's like you the Sonic the Hedgehog of game reviews in terms of speed but Mario in terms of quality. Keep up the great work!
Another awesome review as always, and can't wait to play the game. Are you going to review Middle-earth Shadow of War?
ghstbstr You mean Shadow of MoreDlc?
leon floyd
And loot boxes.
The gameplay has a weird “ The Last of Us” vibe imo. Weapon parts and crossbow trajectory.
Congrats on 400k subs Karak well deserved keep up the good work
I've played the first one for a second time this week and let me tell you... the second one looks FAR better haha
Awesome content as always Karak, and did you notice you said The Enemy Within 2 at 14:21. I was thinking about buying this one but there are so much good games coming out this month and the next so i'll skip this one
you bet I did. Do you know why?
Cause I told you? :)
The first rating ACG has ever given that I disagree with but I understand that rating. Despite this one differing opinion ACG will always be where I go to determine if I should pick up a game - the best reviewer on UA-cam by far!
enjoy the game
Like First then watch.......thx for the fast review
Also not sure im digging the open world, the tight corridors, no where to run aspect of the first made it so tense
honestly its actually pretty brutal on the higher difficulties. Lower ammo means even squishy enemies are a threat.
I’m not going to lie I get where your coming from but the open world makes it challenging then just a straight shot to the mission. It’s actually controller gripping and fun.
FucKaleb I just completed it and I really didn't like the open world thing, this game felt so different to the first
R1 Gaming this game has plenty of grit & tension. ACG seems to pick apart the game without focussing on what survival horror fans want & love. You'll enjoy it.
The sound for the voice starting at 4:20 is really low, cool review made me interested in the game might check it out someday
karak you're damn reliable pal. best game reviewer
You have a gift when you talk and think. I love it. Subscribed all the way
nice cant wait to play this
ACG i really have your reviews on the top of my interest before buying. Just great job man. Keep it up.
My favourite section is the differences in difficulty settings. Cant believe you are the only 1 that does it. So important to me.
I loved Resident Evil 4 and 5 despite the clunky controls/combat, so this will be well worth it for me simply for the story and atmosphere.
You answered a lot of my questions. You and Matty do some great work! I Appreciate it.
Thnanks
those arent spoilers lol
I was going to say the same :(
MR C I wouldn’t call “17 chapters” or the weapon you get spoilers because he didn’t say anything about what happens in every chapter.
Thanks for the review!!!
lol
Do shadow of war like so he sees
Don't plan on playing the game for a while, but just came to watch the review. Best reviews out on UA-cam. Keep up the great work, ACG!
hmm, visually this game looks a lot better that the first game, one of the better looking games this year
Holy crap it is incredible how much work you can do in such a short amount of time. Thanks for being you
Wow, the pop-in is noticeably bad. Hopefully they'll fix it soon. Great review, thanks man! Will probably get it for $20-25 later on.
ya agreed
If it’s price follows the same trend as the previous game it will be about £5 in a year or so
I don't get any pop in issues.
Better wait a year mate
Lol now ur chance on amazon
I don't know if this'd be too much work, but, if it isn't, coult you perhaps add timestamps for the different categories? Keep up the good work!
Great review as usual, but how scary was the game from a scale from 1-10?
Bruce Doyle I want to know how hard it is.
K Bruh ah ok thx for that Info
The main story can be scary at times, but one of the side missions is downright terrifying. Make sure you visit 336 Cedar Ave. :)
SkatingSheepVids
Yeah, I just happened to stumble into 336, and after, I never went into another house.
I wanted to drop by and say thanks for another very informative review.
This usually isn't my kind of game but for some reason it keeps grabbing my attention. After watching your review it's pretty clear to me that I should give it a pass for now, though.
One thing: @ 14:18 - I don't think you planned on talking about XCOM 2 in this review. ;)
I liked this way more than Resident Evil 2.
Love your reviews. I agree on the sale. I feel like I've played games like this ten times over. And graphics aren't even better on pc.
What about shadow of war? 😭
he doesnt have a review copy
he doesnt have a review copy
I hear its fun
ACG can't you
Just buy the game
Great Review ! Will be picking this up! Best reviewer on UA-cam ACG. Keep up the good work.
Preordered.Hope I like it and thanks for the awesome "review" ;)
I’m relieved to see they improved the character models, so it doesn’t look quite as much like a remastered PS3 game anymore. I still think they could have done better, but I’m really looking forward to playing it.
so you didn't review a hat in time?
I did not
this dude is pretty much one of the only reviewers I trust, and agree with on most occasions
