My favourite Far Cry game ever. Immersion at its finest, the world was stunning.
Same , I even got the survival of the fittest for it I'm proud to say lol
I will take far cry primal over far cry six any day
Even over five
Who wouldn't😆
I'll gladly take both though
I didn't mind 6, didn't love it either. At first I was super bummed and disappointed with it because of the hype however after putting it down deleting it from my hard drive for other games. About a year and a half post launch I had nothing new to play so I gave it another go with very little expectation and found myself enjoying it, repetitive for sure but it's a far cry game so that's to be expected but to kill the time and escape from everyday bullshit it was better than Valhalla for sure
na man, but thwy are equels for sure.@1
I love this game. The story did a bit weird but nothing beats charging into an outpost on a sabertooth tiger and bashing in Neanderthal skulls
Even better is having a black jaguar stealth kill everyone at will and running ram shod over everyone. Ah, the memories.
@@epichikerbro Mammoth with black lion.
I remember so many people shat on this, and now are upset that Ubisoft keeps sticking to the same exact formula. Just goes to show that gamers don’t want anything new even when they ask for it.
8 years old😭where does time go man I feel old🥲
Far cry is a journey back to simpler times, when instead of micro transactions, men used to beat each other with sticks
Lmaooo
My absolute favourite far cry game of the series. Really love the scenery of Oros its so immersive and such a great experience. I really hope this far cry will get a sequel one day as I think there's a lot of hidden depth to this game.
Such an underrated game fr
I've had a hard time finding anything that is similar to this game.... wish there was!
Primitive on steam
Exactly this game has yet to be replicated only thing that could come close would be a second far cry primal game
This game made me realize another really great setting idea for Far Cry. Imagine you're a tourist with your friends, and you get stuck in a remote forest with a tribe of cannibals. Similar to the movie "Green Inferno." It would mix elements of horror survival and action thriller.
that would honestly be awesome but it probably wouldn’t be made in this day and age if you know what i mean
I always wanted a far cry in the late 80s early 90s where you're like a dea agent fighting the cocaine cartels and corrupt military but it made dark and grimey and realistic not all goofy and wacky
That looks like The forest ngl
The forrest
@@JobSChool-pw5ii ?
I just went through this game for the first time. I can’t believe I passed on this when it came out. I am not a big far cry fan but I absolutely had a blast with this game.I had more fun beating things with a club than I do with most modern day military shooters
What are the odds! Just yesterday I dove back into this game completely out of the blue and you’re telling me it was also the games 8th birthday! Hell yeah. Amazing game, still. 👌
this game is absolutely fantastic, my favourite in the series
i absolutely ADORE the world design and worldbuilding. like you said, it’s not historically accurate, but it feels very grounded. i love how the climate of the different parts of Oros clearly changes how the people there live, especially in the south. even if the gameplay gets a bit repetitive, the world feels more genuinely alive than most other games i’ve played
Primal was such a breath of fresh air compared to previous games although the combat and story are kinda lacking. Also I LOVE how NPC’s have a cycle throughout their day. That’s why I love attacking camps at night, since most of them are sleeping.
I really enjoyed Primal, much to my suprise. Hope we see a Primal 2 one day, with a beautiful graphically detailed stone-age world!
The Amazon or pre-colonial America would be good too.
@@B-A-L Reconquista era Spain would be pretty cool
@@valance10 holy moly you’re so right. That’s actually a perfect setting for so many different reasons. Plus you can have a mix of weapon types in that setting.
whats cool about this games language, is that they got someone who is an expert in the theorised proto-indo-european language to create the language in this game and the language is an imagined proto-proto-indo-european language, they actually made 3 versions of it, the main one used by 2 tribes, and then they used a more standard academic PIE language for the other one. Its a game I still need to play because im really interested in that time period.
I think this is one of the underrated open world games
I still remember me and my childhood friend being super into the animals in the game and like a pokedex we played over the course of a 2 months finding and taming each animal, searching up guides what regions of the map to find them, and our little ecstatic selves realizing we could go on legendary beast taming quests. Great memories for my younger self.
I watched TheGamingBeaver play this series, and it looked so fun. I started playing a few days ago, and boy, is it one of my favorite games. Everything just feels so real, beautiful, and action-packed. I can't get enough.
Just bought it on eBay and also remember watching gaming beaver play it when I was very young
Far Cry Primal was the first game I essentially plat. I got 100% of achievements for the first time on xbox. You never forget your first plat.
Saaaaaame i got mine on ps4. Then i got plat on dishonored. Only two games i cared about going for plat
Mine was Shadow of Mordor, then Shadow of War. Then Arkham Asylum. Think they are my only 3 where I tried to do that
I stopped playing ac for a while and i came back and cant believe how far you have come i think im here since 20 or 50k subs i dont remember much
Far cry primal is my favorite game. The fact that it's unique made me love it more, as well as the animal taming part. Once I've replayed this game 3 times in a row because I kept finishing it too fast, lol.
i’m like on my 4th playthrough rn i’m gonna finish everything and then let the game rest for me
@@Ajeen-rai trust me bro, one day you'll get the urge to play again, it happened to me recently. The game is simply too good.
I remember when I was 15, I bought the game for my xbox one amd used to play nonstop. Now I am 24 and yesterday I got the game's platinum on my PS5🤩 what a best way to get a closure with a game who meant a lot for you😢
Primal is a masterpiece. I think it is one of the best UBI games. It should have become a separate IP all by itself, at least a trilogy.
The gameplay is exciting from beginning to end.
The graphics and gameplay hold up right until this very day. It is quite amazing.
I am on my fourth play through right now.
A trilogy with an Amazon setting and a pre-colonial America setting!
Division 1 as well... the passing of time is a crazy thing. Messes with you as you grow older.
This is literally the only game I decided to play associated with Far Cry. I just love the pre-historic times.
Are there any other games set in those times?
@@an-animal-lover Dawn of Man, but it's more of a Manor Lords type of game, except much less good looking and slower to learn :(
the only farcry game ive ever played. i liked it so much that i got the platinum
Same , I even got the survival of the fittest for it ( survivor mode on, permadeath on, expert difficulty, 100% completion)
Still waiting for Colonial Far Cry.
YS! that would be so cool
@@an-animal-lover far cry black flag.
Assassin creed black flag.
My favorite FC game. It was amazing to feel getting transported to cavemen times. I really wish Ubisoft would do other FC spin-offs in different settings, like maybe ancient Greece or northern Europe, or celtic Britain, maybe medieval times, or indigenous America, or even wild west. It could be so cool.
FarCry in Colonial America. Come on, Muskets with Bayonets!
@@an-animal-loverThat would be quite good but AC has already done that. Pre-colonial America would be far better with indigenous tribes hunting bison or fighting each other.
Can you imagine if they did a far cry game where it was basically far cry primal but it was during like the 16th or 1700s and you're an Indian and a tribe and you have to stop the white man from taking your land and you get to fight on the plains with small little towns and settlements and you have to fight in the hills and forests.. with the bowl game play an tomahawks and throwing knives that would be one of the best games of all time
LOVED this game. Being an IT guy, I am going on 36 years full-time. I bought my first game in 1983, and I took out a book from the library to write code to play my own games. Things have changed, and now I am almost 57. I try many types of games, most shooters, not enough explorers. Need more large-scale open-world adventures; indie games still work for me.
Primal is a great example of the potential for far cry. Far cry is not about a guy that gets involved in a revolution or political conflict. Its about man vs nature, hence why its so versatile in applicable settings.
Ubisoft seems to have forgotten this
far cry primal is in my top 10 favorite games that I've tried, I had it on disk when it first came out, completed the game then a few years later I got a disk free ps5 and I just repurchased it yesterday, still just as good as whenever it came out.
Far Cry Primal is my favorite Far Cry game I actually started replaying it recently and I love it.
my favorite far cry just because of the setting and the soundtrack
Recently came across this in the PlayStation store and have really enjoyed it, though I'll admit if I could change some things I'd like to have some kind of armor (animal leather and turtle shells maybe), and it'd be nice if I could go out on missions with a few warriors instead always being solo with only an animal partner, there's no level, but I've acquired plenty of skill points to get pretty much everything I need, but other than increasing my health and upgrading my weapons I don't feel like the character itself has gotten any faster or stronger again armor and a few warriors would help.
This is the only Far Cry game that I have ever played. Outside of the opening for Far Cry 4 to see if you could beat the game without leaving that room.
I loved this game it was really fun and different. I never understood why it got so much hate at the time. I paid full price for the steelbook disc copy. Never regretted it. I almost wish they made a sequel, but it is one of the best single-player game experiences that I have come across. I still think back to that game today with fond memories. The game was just fun. I don't say that a lot about games anymore. It didn't feel like a chore to play like a lot of games. I never tried replying it, but I still want to if I can ever find the time.
Remember playing this as a kid
I still play this game till this day
I remember watching it as a kid and finishing it 1year ago, man im old.
I was 14 when this game came out. Now I'm 22. Time is scary.
And Jeez, AC Revelations came out when I was 10. GOSH MAKE TIME GO BACKWARDS!!!
I got this game for free with PSN the other week and it was my first time ever playing it. I’m 30+ hours in and still having a blast. I played Fc 3 back in the day and a little bit of 4 but haven’t really played the others. But I’m stuck on primal rn lmao
Please try the new permadeath mode in ac mirage I believe it is a good update to the game with new outfits and content
Beating this on max difficulty survival permadeath was one of the best gaming experiences of my life.
A year not many liked but i loved and wish it got a sequel, specially since they've allowed us to use more than one companion since far cry 5
Was 8 years ago I played this game on moment of release I loved it and still play it to this day. I Just have not played in a while wanna get back into it.
I really enjoyed this game. The ending kinda bugged out for me, due to the non-linear structure of missions, but it was still a beautiful experience.
I have played fc3, primal,5, new dawn and 6 too but 3 and primal are the ones I enjoyed the most
I got new computer so I finally can play many game I bought before for this moment Farcry Primal is my first game and it's amazing it had it's flaws and could have been better but still its great
The spear throwing is great in primal. How it impacts and goes through the body.
Replayed this recently, such a great game!
Ngl i goten my first xbox one for Christmas, and as far as far cry games go this is one of the ones i want to get
Bought Primal on Steam sale last night. Let's go!
I dislike this game for introducing the bird mechanic, which Ubisoft then relentlessly copy pasted into all their later games: Assassin's Creed, Watchdogs, ... I just really hate the bird mechanic in AC. They pretty much nailed eagle vision in Brotherhood, leave it at that.
2nd Fav Far Cry..... The Night Cycle Is So Beautiful ❤
This is one of the BEST GAMES of Fary Cry. I love it!
One of the greatest finds from a clearance shelf
if they had co-op in this game, omg !!!!
I just decided to revisit Primal after a long while and it's still one of the best games I have ever played. The game is so immersive and feels properly lived in. I love how your settlement develops during the game and how everyone feels like they belong there and not just being there. I also love that after you've finished the main story you can still wander around and find enemies that look like they are out hunting and minding their own business until you come along and whack them over the head with your club (the single most satisfying thing you can do in the whole history of gaming!) while your pet lion takes care of the rest! This should have been a much bigger game than it was and should have kick started a whole new franchise of it's own where every later game is set in a pre guns and grenades era. Who wouldn't love a Primal sequel set in the Amazon, kind of like the movie Apocalypto, or set in pre-colonial America where the natives tribes are living peacefully hunting bison and killing each other or an African tribal setting?
I think this is the most ambitious and unique far cry
Definitely a great approach to a far cry game
I've played and finished it 100 % like more than 10 times. I just love the style
I know it's the wrong franchise, but I would like to see a Call of Duty: Ancient Warfare
But there wouldn't be any Americans saving the world as usual in it!
I might have to play it again haven't played it since it launched it was 8 years ago which is crazy
The Witcher is 9 years old 😢
Outside of JW evolution are there any other recent prehistoric games?
I'd be really interested to hear your thoughts on Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey, the game by Patrice Desilets that released a few years ago. It's the only other major prehistoric game I can think of off the top of my head, and just so happens to have that lineage to Ubisoft considering Desilets was a co-creator of Assassin's Creed.
FC primal is my favorate FC game, i got it a few weeks ago, it is awsome
Is now a good time to mention that I’ve never played a Far Cry game?
Have played 3, Blood Dragon, Primal, and 5. Primal my fav. Survival mode good.
BEST FARCRY BY FAR
It’s a shame there was not a dinosaur DLC created.
My only real issue with this game was just how overly simple the melee combat was, considering it's the game's biggest combat basis. It's not good when it comes to not being repetitive when a game which has so much melee combat in it ends up making it as simple as possible.
I’ve been playing it for a while cause I’ve been playing on and off but so far I’ve loved every aspect sometimes the story is hard to follow but in my opinion it’s a great story that fits with the time I already love learning about Stone Age and stuff and I know it isn’t accurate but it’s still fun to see it and be in what I’m studying
I played this game from start when i got it with ps4 and its one of the best games if u ask me.its cool because there is udam and izila enemies. But its a lotle bit scary like music is scary in my opinion. But its one of the most underated games
My absolute favourite game! Would be so happy if it gets a DLC
Farcry primal is my favorite farcry , I'm proud to say I achieved the survival of the fittest ( survivor mode on, permadeath on, expert difficulty, 100% completion) that survival mode add a ton of changes to the game like no mini map , owl can't dive attack or drop bombs , can't carry as much , less resources in the world, nights are darker and last longer and more predators come out , crafting isn't instant but now takes a few seconds, fast traveling is somewhat limited as now it costs meat and stamina and oh yeah now there's a stamina bar lol I'm sure there are even more changes I'm just forgetting since it's been so long but it's definitely the way to play primal and the 2nd chance is a little more forgiving where as long as you've progressed far enough you'll respawn
Primal and far cry 3 my favorite, far cry 3 story line is my favorite
One of my top 3 games I haved play. First far cry and after playing far fry 2(never finished) ,3,4,5,new dawn and 6(juste 15h of game) nah this is a true gemme after the 3.
What if the wenja clan is the first assassin's brother hood? You know this game takes place before the events of ac origins and I get assassin's vibes sometimes when takkar has gotta take people out
Some people hate this one for the silliest of reasons.
It's those same reasons that make FCP one of the most challenging and unique gaming experiences ever!
Farcry Primal shares a birthday with Waukegan, Illinois
i just started playing it again never finished it b4
I am playing it for the first time, it's the first and last far cry I'll ever play. The idea is so good, but something's lacking to make it memorable...neolithic-pop of quality ? haha I'm so fed up with the villagers siging Sajichassu sajichassu" all day long. But i'm liking it so far.
You know I played this game when it first out and was not thrilled. after all these bad games after all these bad games lately, I decided to give it another try holy crap this is awesome
Just bought this game and new Dawn for a combined 13 dollars on the PS store. Amazingly enough I never played any of these games. And people were telling me that far cry 3 and 4 were excellent games. I played them and instantly fell in love. So now I have primal 5, new Dawn, and 6 to play. I’m pretty damn excited honestly
Oooga Booga
I unironically love this game.
Far Cry Primal is the best Survival Open wold game, still looking to find games like far cry primal, in fact thats how i found this video "good survival games like far cry primal" was my search
Far Cry Primal has to be my second most favourite out of all the Far Cry, i always wanted an game based in the 10.000 B.C, this game was a dream come true, i loved the whole building your village was so incredible, i miss have building your city or village in a game, i would love to see an Far Cry based in the Dinosaur Era,
I just stared playing this game on pc and i love it one of my top games tbh
Assassin's Creed Stone Age 😎😎
Funny, I'm watching far cry primal while going for platinum in far cry primal 😂😂😂
No matter what I do I can't get the credits to trigger
Unironically I love the story of Primal. No nonsense, straight to the point- "You want to live here. Other tribes want to take it from you. Stop them!" I really hate how every far cry game since 3 has repeated itself with "wooogh I am... le insane villain!!!" And player characters that are either annoying or have no character at all. Primal was something new and fun, and everyone hated it. Well, I hope everyone enjoys the RPG-lite slop that Ubisoft is gonna churn out from now on.
Don't forget also that you are actually playing the bad guy because you have to destroy the other tribes that were living there before you accidently turned up!
@@B-A-L "bad guy" the Udam are cannibal retards and the Izila sacrifice your people to the sun god, ultimately it's a primeval conflict that would have occurred throughout the neolithic era. There's not really any "villains" or "heroes"- just your tribe versus the other ones. It's a race war.
One of the best games ever
The only Far Cry game I am renting from Ubisoft.
The Far Cry game for me. I love this game so much and I love the similarities between it and the RPG AC games. Takkar is a badass and I want a Far Cry Primal 2.
Favourite AC content creator. Ur voice is perfect for commentary 😂😂
i could never get into far cry primal and play it properly so i might i have to buy it digitally (had it on disk switched to digital console)
loved this game. does it have coop like the others?
No that was 1 of the reasons ppl shat on it , it would have been cool to have a bunch of ppl fighting for different tribes
