Got mine 3 weeks ago. Best driving Jeep of the 3 I’ve got. They knocked it out with the 392! And yes ,that exhaust sound never gets old! Congratulations and can’t wait to see how you build it.
@@ch-wrangler same here mate, I would have been happy with diesel but the 3.6 does better than I expected with the 8 speed. Still an awesome rig though.
I ordered mine about a month ago and it should be here in September. I have a question. I saw him filling up with 91 I thought it was supposed to use 93. Is 91 ok ?
I'm on my 6th jeep. My first was a 1982 Scrambler. Drove it for 10 or 12 years. Drove it over the Rubicon trail 3 or 4 times. It will always be my favorite. My first TJ was a 99'. My 2nd was a 04 unlimited, which was another favorite. Retired to South East Arizona in 2019 and in 2021, bought a 1998 2.5, 5 speed. Had fun for a couple months, and came upon a 05 Rubicon short wheel base, 6 speed manual, which was a bucket list jeep for me. It's going to be my all around trail rig for me. Now I'm fortunate to also own a 22 Gladiator Sport S Max Tow. Not rich, but retirement is treating me pretty good.
Peterson in Nampa was great to work with when we bought our 2021 Rubicon Unlimited in August of 2021, yes we said you sent us LOL. Like you Eddie we were "sign me up" on the 392 and then like you guys the reality check came in. We went with the 3.6 ecoTorque instead though. Ghost (our 2021 Sting Gray Rubicon) will have a 392 in the future but decided we would go with a swap when we get there, maybe it will be out of a wreaked 392 Rubicon who knows :) Congrats on a beautiful 392 Rubicon!
Congratulations on getting your 392 Rubi! I started watching your videos when you did the restoration on Jane. I've always been a Jeep fan but have never owned one, until now. Just took delivery in May of a 2022 Wrangler Unlimited Willys! What a fun ride! Now I understand your passion!
Welcome to the 392 family.. absolutely amazing Jeep! We love ours. We've bought 2 JLs from Kent. Very straight forward and good dealership to work with. We came all the way from Indiana to work with him 👍
Welcome to the 392 club!!! I love mine more and more everyday! Can’t wait to see what y’all do with the build. I’ll certainly be following and watching for ideas!
1st Jeep was a CJ5 Golden Eagle, 304 with a 3 spd stick. Bought new and a handful under throttle. The guy I sold it to, kept it 25 years. Showed up after that, restored, at Collins bros outside of Dallas. 22 Rubi ER on order... waiting. 2.0L T. Loved this review! 👍👍😎🇺🇸
Very nice! Looking forward to hearing how you like the full-time 4x4 hi tcase etc and the stock cv and how they hold up. I know you really wheel your jeeps and this is so cool.
Congrats!!! I started watching your channel last year as I began to research and learn everything I could about the JL Rubicon. I had a beat-up 1977 FJ40 in High School and it truly was a way-a-life... but then adulthood sunk in and I bought a practical Honda Civic. After 15 years of owning the "practically boring" civic I wanted a new FUN car, and what's more fun than a Jeep! Your channel helped me get up to speed, and the more I learned from your videos, the more I knew the Jeep JL was the answer. It is about way more than buying a Jeep, it is a community and I am grateful you welcomed us into that world. So after hundreds of hours of research (watching almost all your videos), and debating the diesel, vs. turbo, vs. pentastar, vs. hemi... I bought the Hemi 392. I took delivery in March an I love it. Thank you for making such great videos, the editing and filming is excellent. I can't wait to see your 392 build! 3 questions: 1. Are you guys going to offer T-shirts? I would love to show my support and have some cool Wayalife threads. I supported another channel on youtube where they offered a cool t-shirt design on Bonfire, people signed up, paid, and then they shipped them all at once. You could do a JL 392/Wayalife build design to celebrate your newest Jeep, offer it on a future video, and we could buy it to support the channel. They do all the shipping, printing, warehouse, so no inventory. Here is a link to that youtube t-shirt (acorn to Aribella is the youtube channel, they have done about 5 t-shirts to celebrate various milestones as the build their boat). And these 60/40 blend shirts are so darn comfy. Just a thought. www.bonfire.com/acorn-to-arabella-planking-party-2020/?productType=bacf6cd6-b53d-469c-ab96-02afe5b15f71 2. I noticed you didn't get the 392XR, why so? I didn't get the XR option either but I'm curious about your build decisions. 3. Not really a question... but I added the Redline tuning 392 hood lifts and that helped a lot with that heavy JT Mojave hood. Which is good because I love looking at that big V8.
That's awesome and congratulations! To answer your questions, we used to sell shirts and need to again. Thank you for the link, I will give it a look. We didn't get the XR because we have other plans for suspension and tires. Again, thank you for the tip!
Been following you since the TJ days, copied lots of your mods to my LJ at the time. Sold my LJ and still regards till this day. Just bought the 392 around 4 weeks ago, kind of a forever car. Somewhere along the way a jeep is not a jeep anymore is wayalife

Nice 392 sounds awesome!.... I opted for the same torque and ordered a 2023 Jeep Wrangler Sahara 4xe..., no gas needed to commute to work. I love that Jeep offers practically any kind of powertrain you could possibly want. Just bought gas on Sunday for $2.99/gal, so gas is coming down in some areas of the US.
Ohh boy! at that 0:22 mark you pump the gas pedal twice it brings me back memories of having a carburetor vehicle lol. Now you got a HIS and HERS V8 WRANGLER ❤
Awesome addition to the fleet, thanks for sharing your purchasing experience. I’ll have to take a look at Peterson although it is a really long ways away as we’re in Las Cruces NM.
You are right, this could be the last year they are available, smart buy, it's why I got a Powerwagon...More affordable for me but I really wanted a 392 Recon!
Congratulations 🎊 another awesome jeep for your collection 😀 You guys are not crazy, jeep are addictive and once you owed one there's no turning back. Rock on 🤘
Two things about your CJ5 Renegade...the Warn 8274 winch and the gorgeous aluminum slot wheels. I would give anything to have a set to mount on a new Wrangler or Gladiator. Beautiful CJ5.
We got Jake from Kent last year. We flew up from Dallas cause like you the price was that good. Only reason we did not get the 392 is i wanted the manual transmission over anything. So we got the Sahara.
Back in the early 70s Jeep felt pressure from the ford bronco with the 302 v8, Congratulations on the New Jeep, Can't wait to see the progress of this new jeep.. Such a great channel. Was waiting on the drag race.. lol
Congratulations on the 392! I'll take it as a gesture of optimism and hope that things will get better in America. Gas prices will stabilize and the ICE, V8 or otherwise, is not going anywhere any time soon. Btw, Wayalife has the best soundtrack as well as content!
Thank you. We're always optimistic when it comes to America but unfortunately, I don't think the V8 is gonna be around for much longer. By 2024, EPA standards are going to force the hands of car makers to go electric. Already, Jeep has announced that 70% of their product line will be electrified by then. Glad you enjoyed our video and soundtrack 😎
@@wayalife Darn it! My 3.6L bright white Rubicon just arrived at the dealer this morning. Better save my pennies to get the 392 while I still can! 2024? Wow...that's not long from now...
@@wayalife Eddie, if you don't mind - did you ever feel the 3.6L was insufficient/lacking in power with Jet Li? Thanks, appreciate your thoughts on this
Thanks for sharing. I had TWO 1974 Renegades! Loved both of them! Nice and simple design compared to my new 2021 Sahara 4 door JLU. I can’t wait for the super charged 3.6 V-6. Half the weight of the 392. I still love the V8 sound!
So glad see you all got a Jeep with 392!!!! I love your channel,,, you guys rock.. one day I pray have garage filled with Jeeps as well… keep up great work and stay safe,,, 👍❤️🤩
I've bought last year a first of it's kind, the 4XE Sahara! I like that it has the same axles, same Stock CVs and 3.72 Gearing as the 392. Of course, I've did my "low cost" build, 2 In Mopar lift (my attempt at a youtube video of it), 35x1250's, ARB in the rear. Additionally front Red Redrock bumpers, XRT Winch, Smittybilt side rails, and of course a CB Bar and SwitchPro setup. Anyway Looking forward to see what you do with this Beast. Thanks for all the years!
@@KJsProjects Hard to tell, I can go to work, lunch, and back all on electric still even after 35s. I calculated manually the last tank of Gas and worked out to 59 mpg. In town the 35 didn't affect the electric range much at all, they are KO2. mpge says 24 for what thats worth.
I got lucky and found a black Rubicon 392 with the XR package (4.56 gears, 35" tires), with a SOT (Sky One Touch) roof. While hesitant at first about this roof option, I have to say I love it. Challenge will be to keep it stock as much as possible to retain future value...or not lol. Starting with Tazer Mini and winch.
LOL - keeping it stock as possible is the real challenge but for us, mainly because everything we can do will suck a little power out of it and it's crazy fun to drive as is. No way we're ever selling this thing.
Need to study which Wrangler I want. If you really think about it, they are all stupid expensive. The customization is what I’m after and the ability to go anywhere! Thanks for the video.
iam so glad your skin is doing much better than last year havent been on youtube for sometime but thats one of the very first things i noticed and am glad to see (Y) nice video love the 2 Jeeps rolling together
Congrats on the 392. Now I want to trade Rubicon 21 to 392. Love the video the view of the mountains. Never been that side of the country. Can’t wait to see what kind of mods you will add.
Loved the disclaimer in the video. I understand your position. I have an '08 JKU I've built it up since new following you and others on the forums. I just got finished installing a 5.7L Hemi and 8spd trans in it. Absolutely love it. It sits on 1 ton axles and 40s with the power to run it. When the 392 came out I got excited, excited that maybe...just maybe they would 392 the Gladiator. That obviously isn't gonna happen so I'm currently making plans to hopefully do a 392 on my Gladiator. Enjoy it, nothing like the growl of the V-8, whether old school cool or modern.
Aloha Wayne. This was a terrific journey for your new Jeep JL Wrangler 392. Congratulations on your new purchase. I can't wait to see what you are going to create a new muscle with more additional items. Great video 📼.🤜🤛👉🏼👈🏿😇🤙👍💕🚖🏆📼🤓💥💫
Excellent choice. Looking forward to seeing how far you can push it on the Rubicon trail as is. have a '21 JLU with reccon package and it is exceptionally capable already.
WOW I was hoping you guys would eventually get one. I am so excited to watch what happens next with the 392 also I didn't hear a name......come onnnn guys the suspense is killing me :) I've been thinking about trading in my 2019 JLU Rubicon for one but you are correct the 392 is crazy expensive , gas prices etc but hey I think all jeep enthusiasts are a little crazy at least I know I am ( in a good way)Thank you so much for video's of your adventures I lov watching them and maybe one day my wife and I can join you guys, beings we live on the east coast it's a little difficult but hey without drams what do we have. Thank you for all you guys do I have learned some much through the years.
LOL - gotta come up with an appropriate name and typically, that comes after it gets used and built up a bit. Would be great to meet and wheel with you and your wife someday.
Congratulations Eddie!!!! We were just at the dealership today deciding weather or not to pull the trigger on a 392!!! The Diesel build is done so why not another build!! Hell Yeah !! LOL LOL
Just stumbled to your video and subscribed! I have a Rubicon XR with the V6 due to come in this weekend or next. We are neighbors as I live in Mesa AZ. Looking forward to catching up to your previous video's. Congratulations on your 392! I almost went that route but I had my share of V8's and Diesels. This should fit the bill for now ;) (For now!). Enjoy it!🙂
Was very interested when I was told there were some youtubers on the lot, Glad to see it was you guys instead of some cringy family channel haha! Super excited to see what you guys do!!
Nice I'm thinking of swapping a 392 I got laying around my garage on my gladiator I was waiting for a burn 🔥 out at the end of the video that's what I did when I rolling out of the dealership
My 22 JLU 3.6 auto is averaging 25.7 for the first 700 miles of mix driving. The 392 will be a lot of fun and will probably be sought after in the future which will help to retain its value. Enjoy!
I’m so intrigued by the 392. I love the idea and have thought about swapping a v8 in all of my wranglers up until this one which is a 2017 joy rubicon. I love it the way it is. I’m at a point in my life where having two Jeep’s is almost financially doable. Here is my big/huge hang up. I am old school, I want it to be stick. I hate that you can’t get it in stick and if I’m paying upwards of 70k I don’t want to be doing any swaps. Driving a jeep stick is what nature intended. So tell me in your opinion is giving up driving stick worth it to you?
Like you, I am old school and fortunately, still have a few Jeeps that are manuals. That said, I personally think it is worth giving up for this engine and 8-speed auto. It really is that nice and it still has paddle shifters on the steering wheel so that you can take control.

LOL - keeping it stock as possible is the real challenge but for us, mainly because everything we can do will suck a little power out of it and it's crazy fun to drive as is. No way we're ever selling this thing.
I would love to see a walk around video of all the Jeeps. This my favorite channel on UA-cam
We've done it a couple of times but there are new Jeeps in the mix now. We'll have to do it again.
Glad you are liking it!!
LOL - are you kidding me? The thing is freakin AWESOME!!!! Thank you so much for everything my friend. 👍
@@wayalife any time!!
Need to study which Wrangler I want. If you really think about it, they are all stupid expensive. The customization is what I’m after and the ability to go anywhere! Thanks for the video.
Glad you enjoyed the video.
iam so glad your skin is doing much better than last year havent been on youtube for sometime but thats one of the very first things i noticed and am glad to see (Y) nice video love the 2 Jeeps rolling together
LOL - getting chicken pox at my age sucked.
Thanks for sharing and congratulations for your new toy.
Thank you 🤗
Very nice. Love your videos and wisdom on Jeeps. Hope to see you build this one.
Awesome, thank you 😎
Welcome to the 392 club. So cool to see other Jeep enthusiasts indulge themselves.
Thank you 👍
Congrats on the purchase! That exhaust note is it's own symphony!
It sure is and thank you!
LOVE that powder blue classic Renegade!!
It was called Jetset Blue Metallic back then 👍
Congrats on the 392. Now I want to trade Rubicon 21 to 392. Love the video the view of the mountains. Never been that side of the country. Can’t wait to see what kind of mods you will add.
Thank you
Loved the disclaimer in the video.
LOL - I think you're the first person to notice it 🤣
Aloha Wayne.
Thank you and so glad you enjoyed our video.
Aswome!!!! Congratulations guys 👍 new jeep and new adventures can't wait for the new builds
Thank you and hope you'll follow along.
I’d like to see 38” mud tires and maybe some gen right aluminum bumpers and rocker guards. Also a swing out tire carrier. Your channel rocks
Cannot wait for the name :). Moby is still my favorite. Then Jane because of the work you put into it.
A name will come. Just need to give it some thought. :)
Excellent choice. Looking forward to seeing how far you can push it on the Rubicon trail as is. have a '21 JLU with reccon package and it is exceptionally capable already.
Oh, you can totally do the Rubicon in a stock JL. With what you have, it'll be that much easier.
Awesome! I knew you had a good reason for sacrificing Jet 😆 Looking forward to future videos of the 392!
Thank you :)
OMG I am so happy for you. This will be an awesome addition to your collection.
Congratulations Eddie!!!! We were just at the dealership today deciding weather or not to pull the trigger on a 392!!! The Diesel build is done so why not another build!! Hell Yeah !! LOL LOL
Awesome! If you can afford it, I'd say do it! 👍
Enjoy it!🙂
Thank you and congratulations to you!
Was very interested when I was told there were some youtubers on the lot, Glad to see it was you guys instead of some cringy family channel haha! Super excited to see what you guys do!!
LOL - I'm sorry that we missed you. Would have been nice to say hello :)
The wrangler that comes stock with a smaller engine has a wider/more aggressive front end paw print than the 392.
Intersting.
Nice I'm thinking of swapping a 392 I got laying around my garage on my gladiator I was waiting for a burn 🔥 out at the end of the video that's what I did when I rolling out of the dealership
watching your videos always feel like I'm watching a high production short film/documentary
Truly flattered that you would say as much. Thank you.
Beautiful Jeep! Your camera shots & editing were awesome on the trip back home. That must have been a ton of work! Great job!
Thank you. We really are happy that you could appreciate all the work that went into making this video. 😎
Congratulations on the new addition. I believe it would be a lot of fun if it wasn’t way out of my budget.
Thank you and yes, they are stupid expensive.
My 22 JLU 3.6 auto is averaging 25.7 for the first 700 miles of mix driving. The 392 will be a lot of fun and will probably be sought after in the future which will help to retain its value. Enjoy!
The MPG or lack thereof is something you have to be willing to bend over and accept for sure.
I’m stoked to see what you’ll be doing with the 392
Awesome!
Congrats on your 392. Will be following along of course on build and trail hijinks!
Thank you.
Great job on the video! Congrats on the 392 as well. Always good to see Ripley included. Man, she was serious about going after that toy 😜
LOL - glad you enjoyed our video and seeing Ripley 😎
Congratulations on your purchase. An excellent choice!
Thank you :)
Congratulations man … that is a sweet ride !!!!
Thank you 😊
Looking forward to witnessing the evolution!
Awesome! Glad to hear it :)
Awesome! Looking forward to more my friends!
Awesome! Thank you!
WAYALIFE is BACK!!! Congrats on the 392!! Now Ladies and Gentleman the show is goin down… Grab the popcorn🍿 and 👀
LOL - thank you.
That CJ5 is still my favorite over all your Jeeps including the 392
LOL - a lot of blood sweat and tears went into Jane. We love her too!
I’ve been waiting for this from you brother
Awesome! Glad we were able to come through for you.
My Home town Jeep dealership in Nampa Idaho! I ordered my 2024 2 door Willys in Anvil from them!!
Awesome and congratulations!
Awesome guys cant wait to see the content!
Thank you and happy to hear it :)
Awesome I look forward to seeing what you have coming. And what you transfer to Pippi.
LOL - Pippi just may get a few parts out of this for sure.
