If I were in the market today, I would get a two door Willys. Great video thank you
I just wanna know if the Gladiator Willys is getting the same treatment for 2024...
Exactly what I placed on order. Waiting for my order to be scheduled for production. The wait is killing me.
So thankful fer the Channel Guys- Proud owner of Both a 21' 392 Rubicon and a 22' TRX - Both no brainers thanks to yer Video's
😃 great video! Never considered a Jeep because of their engine options....that finally changed now!
Great video TFL. As always
I prefer “in his element” Roman over “grumpy old man” Roman. Informative and well done. 👍👍👍 Should have watched it sooner.
Fun video. Thanks Roman!
I was wondering if Jeep incorporates a cooling system for the automatic transmission torque converter. Excessive heat will warp the inside parts of the torque converter. Off-roading and crawling in low range will just about set the converter on fire. It is a weak link between the engine and the transmission itself.
Amazing new Rubicon ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Man, that 392 looks good in silver!
Get the 392 V8 Wrangler while you can. The 100% BEV Wrangler is right around the corner,
Will the best top soft top still work with the airbag placement?
What about the 2024 Gladiator?
@@RagnarKon Going to be EV or a 4 or 6 banger with turbos. V8's going away. GOD bless the Queen man. 🤡
Wellington FL. June 30th, 2023- Saw an Everglades Edition and Raptor Edition Bronco in my Doctor's parking lot. Cool stuff.
😳wow! Great video. Best yet
That was tremendous. Great video. Thank you.
I own a 2012 Sahara. As my beloved Jeep ages, I'm planning for its future replacement. The replacement will most likely be a future 2026 model. I would love my future Jeep to be a 392. Too bad you can't get the 5000 lb. towing with it. But, may be it will be possible in 2026.
That retractable roof is awesome. I know a rack mounted on a jeep with such a retractable roof would take away some of the open-air feeling. But, if desired, I wonder if there is a way to mount one. Say for kajacks.
Hahaaaa!! Looks like so much fun!! TFL next time y’all go please invite me!! 392 all the way!!😆 OlllllllO
Those jeeps are strong
It's cool no doubt, but why does it have to cost nearly $100,000??????
Because Civic's commonly run in the 30K or more range and the value of $100 bill today is basically that of a $50 in 2010. GOD save the Queen man. 🤡
Dig that new screen 🙌 Sweet Jeep! Keep up the Mopar content.
Watched the Truck King video on this event. 88 degrees and a 392 Rubicon had its power steering overheat. Too funny because Jeep, but still a fun machine.
Great video Roman but it's called, Sand Hollow.
Great video Roman, but you could have recorded the sound ot the engine. it's kind of weird seeing the truck climbing mountain quietly.
Is the new jeep powerbox a pure sine wave? Why is there no info?
No better way to show off 470 horsepower than to use 30 of it on a trail.
Yeah, most folks with this trim aren’t going out on the trail. It’s either on a temperature controlled garage or a parking lot waiting for groceries.
Window switches still on the dash with no auto up. Did they fix the defroster so it actually works where you need it ? Are the seats stilll way to stiff with way too much lumbar support ? Does the rear defroster wire still break off ? Does the TPMS actually work ? How about the hood hinges rusting around the torx bolts when its a week old ? All the reasons I got rid of my 21 Rubicon after 11 months !!
I like that front bumper but the things that poke way out on it are really gonna dig in to the dirt or rocks with a fairly steep downward angle.
Is 1.5" lift less than the 2023 XR Package lift? I thought that was 2"??
Did you say the towing did not improve on 2024 392??
Where can I find that awesome Western Red Dead Redemption style song in the Into?
Awesome channel if you love cars... one of the best if you like real driving and detailed reviews.
Pulled a stuck 392 out last year. Transfer case wouldn't shift into 4wd. Seems to be a common issue.
@RKmndo Yep. It was broken. Only spinning the rear tires. I don't own it so I don't know what system it is. Only that it was broken. Stuck. Couldn't move. Rear wheel drive only.
i likes 392 wrangler.
Is that the new 2024 Gladiator in the beginning of the video?
IS THE GIANT TOUCH SCREEN WATER PROOF?
will "off-read-plus" button lock the rear diff in case if car is on 2H mode?? (not 4H)
Roman, it is “Sand” Hollow
So full float rear axles on 4xe Rubicon? 392? Or only on the 3.6L?? Everyone is giving different information
Very cool!
Seems to me like a significant portion of the 4xe stock went to rental fleets. Every single jeep I see with a red plate in Colorado is a Willy’s 4xe.
any idea of the gear ratio in the JL willys 2024 ?
and what about the front axle , does it have dana 44 in the front ?
All JL Rubicons have the front Dana 44. All Gladiators, even base models, have the front 44.
@tylermacconnell217 Thank you for the reply ,, but what about JL willys 2024 ? Does it have dana 44 in the front ? And what about the gear ratio in willys 2024 ?
@@dreamcastfan6669 I can't say for certain on the 2024 Willys but it likely still has a Dana 30 front axle. Yes, it gets the nominal "33" inch tires now, but there is no front locker. Since the transmissions are not changing, I'd expect the same gear ratios as before: 3.73:1 for non Rubicon or Mojave models; 4.10:1 for both of those models.
@@tylermacconnell217There are no lockers in non-Rubicons. Willys come with a rear LSD though. It wears out quickly. Get a Sport or Sport S and add your own lockers.
Still squeak on cold starts? And forced into red seats only - Blech
I’d love to know why the front bumper crush cans are so exaggerated? Looks like Dolly Parton. I have the Jeep Steel winch bumper on my 22 Gladiator and they aren’t anywhere near that big.
It would be new with the Hurricane I-6 Engine ...
Should call it a Dust-Devil To make use of all the power have to spin the piss out of the motor. Turbo's are finicky enough when having issues, don't need that when in the woods or crawling. Especially with all the computers things thing run off now. A roots style blower maybe, but not turbos.
Even the 2.0T 4cyl makes more torque down low than the Pentastar V6. You have no idea what modern turbo motors can do.
There are many vids about the 392 does not justify the 85k price tag, and the only way to justify the price would be to have the hellcat motor.
@billybobbob3003 Yes its totally worth it ! And saying no vehicle is worth $85K then you're mistaken because they're cars worth over $100K that are worth the money like the Cadillac Escalade etc 😉
Still would love to see a Gladiator 4xe and 392.
I need to correct you Roman. It is called Sand Hollow State Park! Not Sandy Hollow. And Sand Hollow is located in Hurrican Utah. Not St. George Utah.
@@Ryan-yo4dg he was thinking of the Hurricane engine in the Hornet bro, and how it's coming to the Wrangler next so we can save the planet from the nasty V8's.
With the new lift from the factory, do you think you can fit 37s without adding a lift? Thank you for the video
2010 Hummer H3 Alpha V8 Offroad Package was and is still the true goat. Ready to offer my preserved ‘08 for a Jeep match up @TFL
Colorado/Canyon guts with a bread box body and not worthy of the name Hummer. GM should have called it the Gorge bro.
@@boboso7238purpose-built aesthetic, bud.. According to specifications, capabilities, and engineering of the H3 - they carry and represent the brand with the rest 100% within their segment
A JLU Rubicon would walk away from it in technical terrain. Articulation, lockers, gearing, tires, armor, clearances, clearances, etc.
Where are the optional 37s from the so call off road king ? Another let down.
One major fail on Jeeps part is they only allow you activate the front locker if the rear is locked. Super stupid and this make it hard to steer around tight corners or switchbacks. Turning off the rear locker while having the front activated allows the vehicle to more easily pivot around obstacles and a much tighter turning radius. Locker override kits are the answer, hopefully the 2024's are able to be modified like the earlier units.
Honestly, OnXOffroad is the most useful ad I've seen on UA-cam in forever. I use it daily and love it.
It's funny when I graduated from high school in 1996 I bought that summer a base model jeep wrangler for $19,000 now a base is $34,000 😮
The 392 is simply not needed for this type of driving..
The 6 cylinder in 4 low gets out of everything
@@TaigaTurf 6.4 in a Ram, what model is it?? I only know the 5.7 & the supercharged 6.2 in Ram trucks, but not 6.4

Low end torque bro, low end torque. You'll get your 6 back for a bit, when they put two giant snails on it you can no longer work on because it so finiky. Then electric, which will never make it to the trail because it out of juice. You can't call no one because you tried to start your Jeep with your phone and now they both out of power.
Just can’t fathom that much $$$ for a wrangler (before markups)!
Mr Roman you miss spoke sans hollwe I just know because one of my favorite youtuber Matt's offroad
392? Good pick. If you're gonna play with someone else's toys, you might as well get the best toy.
TRULY THIS JEEP WAS MADE FOR THE DUNES, BECAUSE A REGULAR RUBICON 3.6 WOULD DO JUST AS WELL. THE POWER IS GREAT AND I LOVE MINE BUT I HAVE NEVER NEEDED IT PLAYING
The Rubicon X is the same money as the Ineos Grenadier. Ineos claims their’s is the ultimate off roader. Time to compare the two.
Friends, does anyone know if this is true or not? That before 2016 Pentastar 3.6 was problematic and was not reliable and not durable and also had less resources. (It had a low lifespan) However, since 2016, they say that it was fixed and now it is a new and good motor. Is this true or not??
My 2012 JKUR I got in 2011 has the original 3.6 Pentastar in it. It's at 182,000 miles and counting. Just change the oil every 5k and it keeps on rolling, no issues. While it may not be a sporty engine or an i6, it's proven and durable.
@@jimbov23he didn’t ask about the old engine he asked about after 2016.
The new front end is looking too much like a Jeep Renegade.
I’m not liking the new grill. I wonder how hard it is to swap the older one on 🤔
It actually fits like a glove. I hate the new grille that's why i kept my 392XR 2023 even though I can just switch the grill from 2023. Not a big fan of the new interior either with incomplete look of just one circular vent on each end of the dash. They look out of placed. Wheels look generic and lost the thickness and toughness offroad look to them. Power seats but no hood struts lol, doesn't make sense. Still no adjustable shocks, better brake system, etc... I like the side air bags tho for more safety. And what's with the pink seats, not for everyone's taste.
Still not enough to trade in from 2023, but it's a Jeep 392 and regardless all the negativity I feel....Still JEEP forever. Make America V8 again!
At 6’ 3” my head hits the “ spot bar “ what say you .
Big V8, No TURBO's, what's there not to like? Bronco can suck it! Great video!
Nobody uses a 8 thousand pound winch. you need a 10 to 12 thousand pound winch to do the job.
Same power, same brakes, same suspension. Mostly cosmetics upgrade. Grille can be switched from 2023 and fits like glove ( facts ), the new wider but not bigger head unit look generic tablet ( Alpine redesign looks way better and maintain all 4 AC vents for a complete look and ruggedness). What's with the pink seats? Totally lost the bronze/orange stiching that makes it a 392. Power seats are nice, but still no hood struts. Additional safety sounds great. 2021-2023 392XR IMO will be the holy grail of Jeep Wranglers. The last of manual seats lol, bigger grille, original 4 circular AC vents, etc.... but, we're all stuck with the new design. What choice do we have? At least for another decade. Anyway, great video like always.
is the Gladiator in front of you refresh too?
Looks amazing
Jeep has to realize there are more regular people than rich people. GET IT STRAIGHT. WE MAY NEED JEEPS AT SOME POINT.
I made the same point in the last video, and got slammed by all of these people calling me cheap, poor and low class because I stated that all these Jeeps and off-road oriented vehicles are ridiculously expensive. Why are you spending over 100k to bang up your car?
Yup. I make 6 figures and carry 0 card/student debt. I'm not buying something like this to destroy it offroad.
A base TJ/LJ with Ox lockers, 33-35" siped mudders, tubed fenders, minimal lift, and a 4:1 gearset is great. Thanks.
This is really a tough jeep with advanced technology
It’s tough alright Bud, until all that “advanced technology” malfunctions or stops working 30 miles from nowhere.
@dr.tobiasgoodfellow5174 That's why I won't ever sell my 05 Rubicon with the inline 4.0. It's very analog...

Very nice.
A Tacoma has entered the chat
Ahhh ahhh ahhh ahhh….
too bad everything is so expensive
where's the banana
Jeep should consider making 35-inch tires standard on all Wranglers and Gladiators. 🚙🛻
Be more cost effective if they buy them from those companies that make tires and just offer them as an upgrade. If they make their own 35" tire, it will fail.
$90k? Zero interest. Maybe at $60k. The pricing of new vehicles is sapping the car enthusiasm from me and I made $280k last year. Who does Jeep think they are gonna sell cars to?
I'm sorry, but the reason I'm going camping, overlanding, fishing, etc is to get away from ally glowing screens, cell phones, TV, etc. Maybe if they spent less money on screens, fake exhaust noise, twenty nine cameras , we could afford to buy them
Sounds like a segway for today's sponsor, Autotrader. Find your used Jeep here, any year, any feature, any budget, it's easy with Autotrader. Is this Dennis Collins alternate account? Bro how is Richard doing at Gas Monkey bro?
In order to get a proper high torque ic engine , that every Jeep needs , ya gota spend 110 grand , no thanks .
Great vehicle but the price in ridiculous.
When is all that gas guzzling and extra front end weight more of a liability than a benefit?
Yeagggghhhh, that's all great for millionaires. 👌🍻
Renegade - looking front grill is a bit of a shame, and a slow but steady decline from the original Jeep look..
The profit margin on a base $90k 392 Wrangler must be through the roof.
Wrangler as over priced themselves out of the market. I had a Rubicon in 2019 and now to replace is 20-25K more.
Costs too much. Not worth it.
Cost to much to you so it’s not worth it? Ok stuff a 392 yourself in the rubicon with all proper fitting and making sure everything else as expected. Plus, offer a warranty. Sorry bud, they have the regular v6 if you don’t want it even though everyone has been begging for a v8. Which I’m sure you never wanted a v8 in a wrangler right?
Not being able to afford it doesn’t make it not “worth it” lol… If people buy it and past the price, then it’s worth it lol.. and I’m sure they will sell a lot of units.

Is the 2024 Jeep Wrangler the Ultimate Bronco Killer? R.I.P. Ford Bronco.
No, that's two different group of people bro. Plus they have that 1990's Civic Type R shit going on, that makes them hard AF bro. They add it to everything now. That's instant fear bro when you see those. They might do a deal with Affliction for seat covers I heard bro.
392 for $90,000.00 , point 1% of the people who watch TLF will or can afford one 🤔 😅. Is jeep going woke ? New full floating axel in which models?
I don't give a crap if it's much better. When is Jeep going to make a Wrangler affordable again?
The electric Jeep is insane, if you had that during the zombie apocalypse you would be king of the world.
90K??!! Nope

@jebushypocristos bro no one asked
When the JK came out in 2007 I was 14 years old and I always said to my dad one day they will make a V8 Wrangler and a Pickup Truck Wrangler. Fast forward to nowadays, my dad still asks me how did I know, told him I just had dreams that would be deja vu. Told him when the JL came out that one day there will be an option for a Jurassic Park Special Edition Wrangler. He called me a few days ago saying he saw an article about that option choice. Freaked out and said SOB let me guess dreams? I told him yup lmfao
You should have got your hands on ab2024b or 2025 Benz g-watching for a head to head.. at twice the price
Rock climbing...I have too wonder how much off it actually depends on the drivetrain tech or just a high ride height and a spotter? I meant all the off road ability doesn't mean that much of you're alone right?? Heh
It sounds crazy good…
