Bro. Why on earth is your content so much better than everyone else’s? It’s wild how people will act like their build is for anyone other than new game plus players. As a guy who has played once and started a new character with a completely different build I’ve found it almost impossible to find anyone talking about the first 100 levels of a players journey yet you do all the time. Thank you for your hard work. Great stuff and I’m here for it.
I think most new players eventually gravitate towards the final build automatically. Its the most generic but also very potent. Glass cannon. Kill before enemy gets close to you. Who doesnt like that.
What I don't understand is why would I subscribe to your channel BEFORE I even watch the video 😂 that's got to be the most backwards thi king ever...I'll subscribe if the video stands up to the title and if it's entertaining and or informative...I'VE NEVER hit the subscribe button before I watch someone's video lol
If you set Clayman's harpoon to heavy instead of cold you will only lose half your magic damage but you can then use the armament spell to add 300 per melee swing. You can double dip on magic damage on that weapon
The build wants to hide behind a Fingerprint Shield + Scholar's Shield spell, thus requiring the staff in the right hand. You'd need a staff in the left hand to buff the weapon, and would have to decide whether to buff weapon or the shield since the enhancement is lost on switch. So here's the choice: higher spear damage + a shield that still drains stam on block, or zero-stam blocking + frostbite buildup (resulting in superior damage once the proc pops).
@@Mordain_Thade that is the thing though, you wont always need the big shield. When you do you can also use magic grease as I believe it scales from your int.
It's best if you just stick with standard if you're around 50 STR and want to buff, loosing the magic damage really hurts unless going against a highly magic resistant enemy.
As much as I agree that the Moonveil is the best magic sword, the Carian Knight Sword is my replacement for it. It looks cooler, has a cooler ash of war, and isn't a katana which makes it better in my book.
Fun fact the carian knight sword is the second longest sword aka it's actually better to fight with as a sword ignoring the ash of war. The ash of war by the way is better than moon veil in PVE due to it's pois damage on larger targets.
People knock on it, but Moonveil is probably one of the best PvE weapons for an INT build. I just couldn't justify the other popular INT weapons. Dark Moon Greatsword is too slow once enemies get in your face, and Wing of Astel takes a lot of work to stagger. It's sacred art is really hard to utilize unless you're fighting a dragon or some other large enemy. Transient Moonlight is very fast and does a ton of damage. I found this made a good balance, as I could utilize it in close combat, but use my spells at range. Was my preferred and most enjoyed playstyle so far.
I'm a battle mage and I CONSTANTLY feel torn between Wing of Astel and MoonVeil. They're both so good for different reasons and build wise they look perfect as a Dark Battle Mage
Moonveil strategy that works for me, ash of war strong attack, roll back, repeat. Can use regular attack for large groups, but bread and butter just sheathe, strong, roll back, repeat. Game changer.
This play style literally made me stop playing the game lmao. I burned myself out playing like this to the point where I needed a break because of how repetitive and easy/boring it was

In the Magic Swordsmen build, what is the advantage of having 99 int rather than 80 int? Is there a vast increase in magic damage at 99 int vs 80 int? This question is not related to “soft” or “hard” cap. I am asking about your observations in this build.
Great video ! I am new to Elden and started with an Astrologer. Just hit 46 and have some decent stuff like meteor staff. This gives me a really good idea of what to shoot for so thank you. For now I have put 20 into Vigor, a few into Mind and Endurance but mostly been dumping into Int.
Your builds made me realize how weird I am playing the game. I am close to level 100 and have been using a Magic Swordsman build thats been growing off the Pisoner as it starts off the game and I only ever had 20 Vigor. I am currently level 85~, I still haven't gone through the Dectus Lift, but I've explored the vast majority of the maps of Liurna, Caelid and everything underground. To the point where I'm done with Ranni's questline and have killed off pretty much every dragon. Turns out being a glass cannon that melts bosses but gets two shotted wasn't the intended way to play the game, lol.
I did that also, but I utilized the carian night's sword with carian grandeur. Sucked when I got hit, but it was a fun challenging style to play. I'm now at a level 156, and have Lusat's staff maxed out.
I like it! I clicked the video to get ideas for my latest character, since I’m trying out as much sorcery as possible, and looks like I was already heading towards that pure magic build at the end
This is overall a great build guide but one weapon that certainly should be here is the dark moon greatsword build as at level 226 I’m able to dish out like 4500 damage for literally no FP with a lot of poise and frostbite buildup I see it as the bets wepon in the game
I would switch out green turtle for Blessed Dew, the passive hp recovery would allow you to maintain full hp using less resources, since the stam recovery in Elden Ring isn't really that bad.
I feel like it would be a better option to just keep int at 80 instead of 99 for the magic swordsman build due to how little it rewards you after the hard cap, thoughts?
Unless you’re deliberately going to the absolute max level, you have no reason to 99 a stat ever. The outside of the Arcane Stat in Bloodborne specifically we’ve never needed at stat at 99.
For those looking for killing Radagon using the builds mentioned in the video: As of this date, the Sorcerer build is completely useless against Radagon. Don't bother .... at all! Not only you won't do enough damage to the boss, you are literally a one shot-kill target. Good luck getting past phase 1 of the fight.
😂 the dark moon great sword melts him. Ignore the actual ash of war attack and charge it before the fight and just use it like a normal sword. The added frost and magic damage makes them sword Op. Then for them second phase just hit the elden beast with the ash of war and boom easy.
Radagon was easy, elden beast sucked, but all of them are for sure doable using magic if you just dont die/use the right approach/use the right sprceries
I personally love dual weilding nagakibas one with chill mist and cold damage, and the other with fire art and the fire skill you find at redmanes from the beetle. If done right you can stack frost then cancel it out with flame then stack frost again and cancel it put with flame continuously. Stack that with the natural blood loss on each weapon plus dual wielding jump attacks. With a jelly fish shield and a staff as the int loadout. It has a very nice elemental swordsman feel with it. I wear light armor to keep the equip load low but you could always over lwvel and punp endurance or wear the talisman that greatly reduces equip load. All in all i like the variation in game play with up close ninja shenanigans and long range naruto jutsus. Edit: because the darkmoon and the moonveil are pretty boring imo. One attack over and over.
I use the full mage set rogier. Your carian sword spells do mad dmg. Also night comet I recommend using the staff for invisible spells. You do the highest dmg with that staff for all night spells
Rogiers set buffs magic dealing Ashes of War like Carian Grandeur and similar ones, not spells. Also the best staff in the is the Prince of Death staff. It has the higest sorcery scaling in the game and if you are useing Night Comet it's better to have PoDS in main hand and Staff of Loss in off hand then dual wielding Staff of Losses.

NG+9? I believe the difficulty/scaling cap is currently NG+7
no, the max is NG +100 (already a person who reached that called Kogarrashi)
@@Valkirth No, you don't understand. You can keep grinding away NG+, but the game will not get any more difficult past NG+7, which is why people stop there. There's no point to keep going (unless you find the grind entertaining).
none since patch 1.05 as they removed chain casting
Great Video! I am currently working towards the magic swordsman build, and I noticed that my character's endurance is too high. I noticed that your spell casting does not drain the stamina, what did you equip to counter the drain?
It only doesn't drain stamina when outside of combat, if you notice the first showcase, he's using stamina.
I thought INT shouldn't be over 80 because it was soft capoed over 80???
It's the last hard cap and yes pointless to lvl any stat pass 80
@@synjata8670 that's what i thought
do you have a ash of war on the fingerprint shield?
I do not
@@ColdBwoyy what is the small sword looking icon on the shields bottom right corner when inspecting it?
Can you do recommended stats for each milestone here in the comments?
I wonder what type of weapon the Moonveil is
I bet it’s a stand!
Katana....
great content!!!!
im bad a puting levels on attributes imma need you to give me specific numbers for level 150 on last bulid bro please
why u use points in vigor if u deal that high dmg?
Hey does the site to buy runes work ?
Faith int Coldbwoy please??? I’ve got 80 80 faith int but want the most power? What should I do
The nice thing about this is having the Prince of Death Staff and the golden order seal. You can cast everything and will have the most spell power for both types of magic. It would be hard to tell you what to do as you can do whatever you want
Get the prince of death staff. And use the death magics. But, otherwise it is a sorcer build. Any weapon moonviel, sword of might and flame
So in order to use these builds you have to finish the game more than once, and spend more than 60 hours...right??
I have a dagger in one hand and staff in another. I put ash of war Bloodhound step into my dagger and wanted to use it but I can't do it while I take it into two hands. Can I use it without taking the dagger into two hands? I'm playing on PS. Thanks in advance
Sure you can, equip wand in left and dagger in right, make sure wand has no skill and you're good to go
