Thanks for making this. I kind of rushed through Elden Ring and put in 80 hours in my first week just trying to beat it and all the bosses. But despite being level 242 now, I never felt like some badass elden lord even after beating the game. I could kill malenia but I never myself felt like a boss walking around the map. I feel like I should look on par with the bosses, with cool combat moves and destructive powers. But watching this shows me the potential I’ll have to create a badass “I am the boss now” build 😂
The bolt doesn't scale with Faith though. Even though its lightning damage, like most weapon affinities, it scales with what it scales with including its ability. Therefore, the bolt will scale with AR making faith a useless stat outside of specific incantations. If that's the case, then why Faith at 45 on the third build @ 150? Unless I am missing something?
Faith isn’t affecting the Bolt of Gransax. It’s increasing the damage of your lightning incantations. That’s why dex and faith are both at 45. High damage incantations + high damage bolt of gransax and uchigatanas.
@@ColdBwoyy That’s what I figured, it was for the incantations. Good deal then. I too am obsessed with making builds. If you want to bump heads and chop it up at some point, let me know. I know an embarrassing amount of information regarding build development and stat scaling / applications.
@max omalley It would allow the weapon to be viable in a straight Faith build which would be super fitting IMO. Right now, I’m working on an all faith build. I almost have it as synergized as my fire build (Jesus that build is so much fun), but there are a few weapons I wish scaled with it that would fit the theme really nicely. Nevertheless, 80 faith brings with it some fun as hell randomness. 2k fireballs is funny af.
@@antonsten626 I wanted to, especially since there are so many UA-cam channels that post terrible builds (unlike this one), don't understand how the affinities are effectual, and/or how to tweak stat distribution to ensure a weapon's AR is maxed with the calculator. A good video I thought of making, was how to actually make a build to begin with. Once you understand that, its really fun to tinker around with the calculations of a few weapons and themes. But, I started Elden Ring months late as I was finishing some other games and I don't think it would get the traction I'd like it to. I'm just not sure the game is active enough to warrant yet another channel.
Greetings, first off thank you so much for your videos, they help me out a lot. My question is on your Thunder God Lightning Build you suggest going dual uchigatanas. I followed your build and did not start as a Samarai which gives you one to start with, I got the one in Deathtouch Catacombs, how or where to get the second uchigatana to dual wield. Thank you for any feedback to help me out with this.
Went the same way after around half of my first playthrough and it was bonkers, I wanted to be STR with a little bit of faith, but as time went by I understood that more faith is the way and incantations absolutely obliterated bosses
Sick dude! I’ve been looking for a new build to try and I decided to go with the lightning god build it’s so sick. Question though! Why uchigatanas and not nagakibas considering they’re pretty much the same but with a bigger hit box? Either way, sick builds dude there’s my subscription keep up the good work.
I’m testing out the lightning build, and if I charge the katana with Vyke’s, it does about the same damage as if I use an ash of war with lightning affinity. So why not just use the lightning affinity? Saves having to scroll through spells to find and re-apply it. Curious why you didn’t choose that and went for the more complicated option.
it gives you more lee-way if you want to add other options into the mix, such as giving your weapons different charges for specific fights essentially. Also adding Lightning Affinity lowers the Dex scaling which is not what you want
people are sleeping on the ornamental straight swords because if you 2 hand it you instead get 2 then use the golden tempering unique ash of war on it then do a charged R2 you do like a 9-11 hit combo it's insane you can probably buff it with axe talisman shard of Alexander and sacred scorpion charm so it's absolutely insane
All very nice to know where we should put our early points, but a lot of the stuff is endgame. What items & equipment would you advise in the early games for your builds?
If you make it late game and have high faith strength and dexterity, I think the frenzied flame seal actually scales the highest! (I’m pretty sure) Also the kings cragblade is another fun lightning weapon with one of the sickest ash of wars in the game
Question ??? You show one Blasphemous Blade build with the Erd Tree Seal and another one with Gravel stone Seal ?? Which is better at Faith 80 scaling ?? Can you not stack these these seals, one in each hand ?? Loving the videos !!
Nice build but if I were you, use spiked cracked tear. It enhances charged attacks since most of the op spells/weapons are mainly gonna be charged damage. I wouldn't worry about fp tbh. That's what your flask are for. I've played to a build pretty close this and I've been either one shotting or nearly one shotting bosses
For the dragonscale knight build, which class do i start with? Is this build i can run around quick and put together to use throughout or can this only be done once your higher? Sorry im brand new to game. Ty
I really like your builds, they're pretty amazing. You think, you could do a best strength build ? I'm currently working on a strength build, with Giant crusher and jump attacks. I have five different builds at the moment on different accounts and every one of them is or is working towards on of your best builds in every category. Keep it up 😉👌🏻
Faith strength build is the best !!!!! Love your videos brother I am on new game plus 7 . I got over 600 hours in this game no game can compare except Dark souls 3. Damn I’m using the wrong seal . I was using the giants seal
For the third build would it be better to start as prophet? Or would it be better to start as samurai with the katana? I’m think if we want double katana it would need to be that one right?
hey cold , i’m 100 hours in (exploring and boss killing) on astrology starter but i want a new build do i have to start over or should i respecc does starter class matter ?
Dual wield blasphemous blade and sacred order blade and max out FTH with about 30 dex. The ridiculous combination of these two weapon arts on one build will destroy everything.
For the dragon scale knight build, for talismans, I use the ritual sword talisman which gives you a damage buff if you have max health instead the great shield one, mainly because the blasphemous blade ash heals when you hit something, so you always have that max hp buff
Great video thanks! @ColdBwoyy, for the 2nd build based on Holy, what's a good replacement for Shard of Alexander? I'm going into NG+4 and didn't ever finish the jar's quest. Since it's not available until late late game, any suggestions on a replacement talisman? Thanks!
I’m looking to try a faith build i may try some of these out. What’s your recommending starting class? Doesn’t really mean much i guess if your going past the meta of 150 if your pve
Three main dmg types you get from fth: fire, lightning, and holy... Dmg types of a Quality: Physical and cold... Int: magic and cold... Arc: poison, occult, dragon incants, and bleed. Have fun with the info my fellow Goldbros
Hey ColdBwoyy, I wanted to ask, with sorcery tactics that mages use to get around the erdtree greatshield’s golden retaliation, like Eternal Darkness and probably Thops barrier (I think Thop’s barrier could deflect Golden Retaliation but not sure) - can Thop’s barrier and Eternal Darkness deflect lightning? I doubt eternal darkness could do anything against a honed bolt, but not sure about a lightning spear. Also with Thop’s barrier potentially knocking the lightning to one side, I’m not sure if Thop’s barrier could do anything against the honed bolt. I love using lightning man but I’m wondering how it would fair against those sorceries! Hope all is well! ⚡️💪🔥
I wonder if the 3rd build would be better with the exact same set up but dual bandit curved swords instead of uchigatanas? Or is the bleed from the uchigatanas going to make them better regardless? Any thoughts or comments would be greatly appreciated! This is my first souls game ever and still on my first play through, so wondering whether to start again to be a samurai now 😅
The magma wyrm sword is also a pretty good sword. Don't know what area of the game you get the other 2, but the magma sword is relatively mid-early game
@@bryceskow6846 really? I have it at I think +6 rn and the ashe hits for around 1k and you can do it twice. Sometimes you get punished but I try to use it as a finisher. Definitely better seals to use than the Erdtree seal depending on which type of incantations you're using. Erdtree is great for a non-themed combination of incarnations though. Great video!
No your wrong. Erdtree seal is the best seal in the game overall. Yes it's true that it's not the hardest hitting at first but upgrade your faith and the seal and overtime it can beat out anything cause of the S scaling. The best way to cast lightning is with buffs like talismans and also erdtree in right hand the lightning rock seal in off hand.
@@L4Disillusion the reason erdtree seal is good is because you dont need to level anything else than faith but there are plenty of double scaling talismans that beat it eventually and builds that you are gonna be playing in ng+ probably makes better use of those ones for example a dragon communion seal is very good if you are already using arcane for your weapons golden order is pretty good if you are playing a mix of int and faith utilising night and flame or something

Yeee same bro
Jesus Christ 80 hours in 1 week
@@cooldude5240I had that in the first weekend lol
@@limitedhangoutlive You could make a youtube channel with that.
Finally a faith vid thank you for the builds these are amazing
I appreciate you Edward 💯
FINALLY! I was waiting for this 😆
I managed to get my lightning spear to do 900+ damage per hit late game. I like it cause it's fast. Appreciate this video. Faith builds for life!
@isaacthelastn7248 can i see your attributes if you don’t mind?
Oil pot for flame is good too……throw it first then for attack adds heaps (as the oil burns)
Great video man, well guided and easy to follow. Thank you
Glad you liked it!
Used the holy confesser build in the dlc and oh my god it works wonders
Thx for the tips. I ng+3 on a INT build and it got boring (tryna get the final Fia and Corhyn endings). Why not get these two on a Faith build?
🤝
I'm definitely trying this builds out as well, nice video as always
Thanks Savage 💪🏼
Great builds. Thanks. Would like to see this game provide the option to save builds that one can readily swap in and out.
Thanks Mike 💪🏼
finally someone who knows how to make a guide, shows what stuff do and explaining instead of just "put this on and go burrrrr"
Really appreciate the structure of your guides. Cheers.
Thank you so much 🙏
Definetly will try your lightning build it seems so satisfying
Let me know how it goes!
@@ColdBwoyy which class should i choose at start?
What's ashe of war uses encounter guy in 16:46? Looks like Malenia sword but it's not oO
Very good video production! Cheers ✊🏽
Ngl I accidentally made the first build by accident months ago, it's so insanely powerful
Same basically except I'm using the magma wyrm sword. Just started using my incantations more... I'm so glad I went faith lol
Just a placeholder until I get 2! Thank you for the sub 💯🙏
smart man
I’m testing out the lightning build, and if I charge the katana with Vyke’s, it does about the same damage as if I use an ash of war with lightning affinity.
Great video, thanks! Also appreciate the Hunter’s Dream soundtrack ❤
people are sleeping on the ornamental straight swords because if you 2 hand it you instead get 2 then use the golden tempering unique ash of war on it then do a charged R2 you do like a 9-11 hit combo it's insane you can probably buff it with axe talisman shard of Alexander and sacred scorpion charm so it's absolutely insane
"these build are totally S tier as soon as you hit level 250 at ng+6 trust me bro, definitely meta builds!"
Do you guys have any idea with what to remplace the katanas for the Thunder God build ?
Love the bloodborn music in the background
Thank you 💪🏼
I dont know if any one else caught this in the intro but the soundtrack he’s uses is the Hunters dream soundtrack in Bloodborne
Yes it is 💪🏼
What class would you start with for the Thunder God build at the beginning?
Bolt of Gransax scales more off dex then faith. Otherwise, agreed its been my favorite build so far! Super smooth weapon
Correct 👍🏻 this is why dex and faith are both 45
It's also a fantastic pvp stuff
All very nice to know where we should put our early points, but a lot of the stuff is endgame. What items & equipment would you advise in the early games for your builds?
on the last build instead of two uchis you can also do the bloodflame nagakiba bc the bloodflame scales on faith i think
16:20 timestamp for me
Thunder God Lightning Build
Subscribed bc hell yeah you explain stuff so well you also taught me on int build
Thank you Jay! 💯
If you make it late game and have high faith strength and dexterity, I think the frenzied flame seal actually scales the highest! (I’m pretty sure)
Also the kings cragblade is another fun lightning weapon with one of the sickest ash of wars in the game
18:45 gives you all the info you need for his builds
Love the Bloodborne background music 🎶👌🏻
Thank you!
Question ??? You show one Blasphemous Blade build with the Erd Tree Seal and another one with Gravel stone Seal ?? Which is better at Faith 80 scaling ?? Can you not stack these these seals, one in each hand ?? Loving the videos !!
Erd tree seal seems to give the most damage for your incantations. Thanks for watching 💪🏼
@@ColdBwoyy Can you stack Seals ??
The sword of night and flame does all the blasphemous blade can do and it does magic dmg too, with it upgraded to +8 and buffed, it can do 1000 dmg
But your wasting a toooon of points on intelligence, which you won't be using, because sorcery doesn't go well with incantations
Thanks for the tip 💪🏼
Spiked cracked tear only works with charged heavy attacks though, not spells and skills.
what class do i go if i want to go the thunder god lighting build
Samurai
My first run was a N&F build. I think I’ll run Raider this time around. Looks fun
Keep it up 😉👌🏻
Good idea! Thanks 🙏
Faith strength build is the best !!!!! Love your videos brother I am on new game plus 7 . I got over 600 hours in this game no game can compare except Dark souls 3. Damn I’m using the wrong seal . I was using the giants seal
I appreciate the support Shane 💪🏼
For the third build would it be better to start as prophet? Or would it be better to start as samurai with the katana? I’m think if we want double katana it would need to be that one right?
made my day, thank you friend
Thanks for watching 😁
How does he have so many points for level 253 for the 1st two builds? my character at level 253 doesn't have nearly as many?
Starting as a wretch or a class that’s a lower lvl
hey cold , i’m 100 hours in (exploring and boss killing) on astrology starter but i want a new build do i have to start over or should i respecc does starter class matter ?
What use at beginning? Some grateswords, before blasphemous blade?
Dual wield blasphemous blade and sacred order blade and max out FTH with about 30 dex. The ridiculous combination of these two weapon arts on one build will destroy everything.
For the dragon scale knight build, for talismans, I use the ritual sword talisman which gives you a damage buff if you have max health instead the great shield one, mainly because the blasphemous blade ash heals when you hit something, so you always have that max hp buff
I would use Godfrey icon since most of his incantations are charged
Dude, for the thunder god build. what starting class did you use?
Broadsword with bloody slash, gravel stone seal with lightning spear, appropriate talismans, and very heavy armor.
Great video thanks! @ColdBwoyy, for the 2nd build based on Holy, what's a good replacement for Shard of Alexander? I'm going into NG+4 and didn't ever finish the jar's quest. Since it's not available until late late game, any suggestions on a replacement talisman? Thanks!
new player here, what starting class are those builds? or what to choose?
I’m looking to try a faith build i may try some of these out. What’s your recommending starting class? Doesn’t really mean much i guess if your going past the meta of 150 if your pve
Any starting class will work. Look for the one with the highest faith starting attribute 👍🏻
Would the lightning katana also work well on this build?
Tired of the classic pure strenght and i gave a try to faith and its like a hole new game for me. thank you very much!
What character I need to pick at the beginning for the lighting build?
Would the dragonscale katana be any good for the lightning build?
Does the thunder god build still work well at lvl150 compared to other builds? Or does it have to be lvl250 to really stand out in your opinion?
Works great at level 150 👍
Three main dmg types you get from fth: fire, lightning, and holy... Dmg types of a Quality: Physical and cold... Int: magic and cold... Arc: poison, occult, dragon incants, and bleed. Have fun with the info my fellow Goldbros
Hey ColdBwoyy,
I wanted to ask, with sorcery tactics that mages use to get around the erdtree greatshield’s golden retaliation, like Eternal Darkness and probably Thops barrier (I think Thop’s barrier could deflect Golden Retaliation but not sure) - can Thop’s barrier and Eternal Darkness deflect lightning?
This is my first souls game ever and still on my first play through, so wondering whether to start again to be a samurai now 😅
Curved swords would be better if you like to parry, otherwise it's much better to use uchigatanas
I like using some of those weapons situationally or for rune farming when needed. I’d get bored out of my mind spamming one op move lol
Dual wielding blasphemous blade and sword of Milos gives you health and FP back 👀
Man the lightning God 😍😍😍. This build is the best one
for the dragonscale knight what starting class should i pick
Hey! Thanks for the video! What's the song 21:00? I swear I heard it somewhere, but can't find it anywhere
Same!!! I have 100% heard it before. It gives me assasins creed vibes but idk where its from
Late comment but for the lightning god thunder build can i use dual nagakiba instead of the dual uchigatana?
Yes that would be even better!
The magma wyrm sword is also a pretty good sword. Don't know what area of the game you get the other 2, but the magma sword is relatively mid-early game
Great weapon 👍🏻 Thanks for watching!
@@ColdBwoyy no problem, Thank you for the dope vids 😎
I didn't love the weapon art on the weapon
@@bryceskow6846 really? I have it at I think +6 rn and the ashe hits for around 1k and you can do it twice. Sometimes you get punished but I try to use it as a finisher. It's also nice in pvp because they can walk into it and take full dmg a second after lol.
I'm definitely going to max it out till I get another faith weapon. I do want something quicker tho. Plus I don't even have the right tailsmans yet lol
@@BiIlDipperIy Magma Blade is also in insanely good. If you want something that isn't as slow and isn't so easy to punish, try Flame Strike on one of your weapons that doesn't have a set Ash of War.
Straight up “Big Trouble Little China” build at end.
i am a bit late but is uchikatana the best option? Isnt double nagakiba or double dragonscale blade better? Btw Great Video and ty❤
Is there any decent replacement for fingerprint shield or it is that good? Im newbie but that shield seems heavy
I love the blasphmemous blade fire builds but what do I do while leveling until I can get that? And what level can an average gamer get that weapon?
Definitely better seals to use than the Erdtree seal depending on which type of incantations you're using. Erdtree is great for a non-themed combination of incarnations though. Great video!
What would be a better seal then?
No your wrong. Erdtree seal is the best seal in the game overall. Yes it's true that it's not the hardest hitting at first but upgrade your faith and the seal and overtime it can beat out anything cause of the S scaling. The best way to cast lightning is with buffs like talismans and also erdtree in right hand the lightning rock seal in off hand.
@@L4Disillusion the reason erdtree seal is good is because you dont need to level anything else than faith but there are plenty of double scaling talismans that beat it eventually and builds that you are gonna be playing in ng+ probably makes better use of those ones for example a dragon communion seal is very good if you are already using arcane for your weapons golden order is pretty good if you are playing a mix of int and faith utilising night and flame or something
thanks to this guide i was able to beat elden beast solo for the first time, that first build is awesome. my mimic was even able to last the entire fight, and normally thast dumbass is as bad as me.
which class is best suited for these builds?
Noob question but do you have to use the samurai for the thunder God build?
Does Flame Grant Me Strengh stack with Vyke’s Dragonbolt? 🤔
Estoy empezando en el juego y voy a hacer la build de Dios del rayo, me recomiendan tomar la clase de samurai para asi tener ya la uchigatana o ir por una clase que tenga ya algo de fe
Love when dragon lightning miss 3 times in a row, feels so polished.
If larvae tears weren’t finite I’d try all of them , getting bored of rivers of blood bleed and want to try some casting but all look fun
anything better for confessor in terms of armor and clothing?
I’m using blasphemous, but I feel like the range and melee damage sucks. Hard to break poise. I may respec to use godslayer again but tbh, I may just use a different weapon and build it for black flame tornado or something that hits hard I can enchant
The point is the spam the weapon art as much as you can it melts everything especially Melania you can keep her staggered forever, makes her a walk in the park.
sounds like you haven't leveled it to 10 or you shouldn't be having any problems at all
