Please give them another shot. This is their most repetitive song, lyric wise, but it needed to be. This was all about the message. The lead vocalist, Zach de la Rocha, is more of a rapper than a singer but he's technically both. Check out "Bulls On Parade" for a more lyrical song by them.
RATM is awesome! One of my all time favorites. If you want another song try Wake Up since was the Theme to the Matrix. Also love Sleep Now In This Fire, Down Rodeo, Bombtrack, Bulls On Parade and Guerrilla Radio was in the famous video game Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2.
Rage Against the Machine is all about the lyrical message, backed by some awesome Funk Rock grooves. This is one of their anthems but definitely not one of their best lyrically, as you may have noticed it's pretty redundant. Most of their catalog is awesome, but a couple of my favorites off the top of the head would be "Down Rodeo" and "The Renegades of Funk."
Badass!!!! Rage Against The Machine is a very politically driven band. They have tons of great music. Some good songs are Testify, Guerilla radio, bulls on parade to start. Those are all huge singles
Guerilla radio, bulls on parade, sleep now in the fire, people of the sun, renegades of funk, testify. If you like this band, you'll LOVE System of a Down.
The genus of this band is that they have basic and meaningful lyrics that is easy to sing and chant making it memorable, then combine that with heavy riffs and a funky bass line. You get pulled in so easily it’ll get you saying “FUCK YOU I WONT DO WHAT YOU TELL ME!!”.😂 It’s so hype and they definitely know how to spread a message. This band knows how to do it right. And we ain’t hitting the surface of how good the instrumentation is and how it supports the singer to help spread their message…
I highly suggest you listen to Audioslave. It is the drummer, bassist and lead guitarist of Rage Against the Machine but the lead singer is Chris Cornell. Cornell is a freakin’ legend!! “Like A Stone” is the song I’d suggest
Oh I love Rage Bulls on Parade, Gorilla Radio, No Shelter, Bomb Track, Sleep Now in the Fire, Born of a Broken Man, Testify, People of the Sun Such a great band. My friends and I have been listening to them since the early-mid 90’s in Middle School. They are/were a big Anti-Establishment band. I hope you do more of them.
They have so many great songs and it’s their lyrics that resonate with their fans just as much as the music that made them so great. Definitely worth checking out more of their music.
"The track was inspired by one specific incident of police brutality, the beating of Rodney King in 1991 by members of the LAPD. Outrage on behalf of King sparked riots in Los Angeles in 1992 and led Rage Against The Machine to write ‘Killing In The Name’.Throughout the song, the lyrics compare the police with the Ku Klux Clan and comment on police immunity, “Those who died are justified for wearing the badge, they’re the chosen whites”, before repeatedly declaring, “Fuck you I won’t do what you tell me”. It’s a bold refusal to accept the dominant presence of police forces, daringly sung over a memorable riff and ferocious drums. Due to the track’s explicit nature, with the word “fuck” repeated 16 times by the end of the song, it received limited radio exposure at the time of release. Despite this, it has since become Rage Against The Machine’s most celebrated track for its innovative instrumentation and political nerve."
Down rodeo!! I'm a HUGE rage against the machine fan. Zack de la Rocha was someone whose lyrics I always held in high regard. I think he did this song with Los Tigres del Norte, too. He was a huge supporter of an indigenous resistance group in southern Mexico. The guitar player is also hugely talented
Yo!... this album was a constant when I had my paper route. For y'all that don't know, people had to deliver news without internet. I delivered on a bike and saved "Know Your Enemy" for a specific hill. If you give it a listen, you'll get it. It features Maynard James Keenan from Tool.
If you're into guitar players, Tender Surrender by Steve Vai the official video. Also The Queen Medley by Extreme. Amazing live performance at the Tribute to Freddie Mercury concert
I used to not like Rage because of the whole Rap Rock style. The sound may not be for everyone. But, it's RARE to get artists like this that least put messages in their music. "Some of those that want forces are the ones that burn crosses." 💯🔥
This popped up on my main and said out loud "She's going to like this." I didn't like Zach's sound for a long time but it grows on you. They just wouldn't be who they are without him and there just isn't anyone else like it that I've come across. Hopefully they'll be able to come back together again one day but I'm not hopeful after it didn't work out a few years back. Definitely try "Bulls on Parade" as I think it is a bit more palatable
Rage Against The Machine is perhaps the most fiercely political band you'll ever hear. Think of the lyrics to this song as what protesters chant over and over as they're out in the street trying to create change in the world. This band is indeed probably even more relevant today than when this album came out over 30 years ago in 1992. It was their first album, and the whole thing hits incredibly hard. No one else sounds quite like them, before or since. Learn what the lyrics of each song are about - they take on topics like white supremacy, injustice, and corruption and they're trying to inspire people to be politically active and change what's wrong in the world. Oh yeah, enjoy the incredible music as well. Tom Morello on guitar innovated techniques to sound like a dj scratching records, and the bass and drums are heavy and funky and great as well.
I'd like to see you react to Beastie boys "Don't Sleep Til Brooklyn" It has a similar vibe but more on the Hip-Hop side to "Killing in the name of" and another rabbit hole to go down. I also can't wait to see you react to more RATM, especially "Wake Up" you may reconize it. Also FUN FACT: This was the Number 1 Christmas Song in 2009
Two awesome songs are Wake Up and Freedom. Rage 's songs all have a social statement. Zack is actually considered a rapper amd not a singer. There is still very relevant today
A few year's ago, in the UK we(the general public) got this choon to number 1 in the chart's at Christmas as part of a protest against the crap talent show's manufactured pop.
recommending one of my favorite bands is easy but picking the most favorite is impossible. definitely the first that comes up is: fear factory - new breed my second pick would be: meshuggah - do not look down the third is: om - state of non-return if we talk about "rock/metal"
Came out in ‘92. “Rap metal” is what would people consider this which would be a catalyst of “nu metal” like Linkin Park and Limp Biscuit. If you’re more into dynamic singing Chris Cornell sings with the other band members. Zach de la Rocha is a great rapper👌🏾.
Tom morello, plays the guitar, and is probably one of the most unique guitar players, he makes the craziest sounds that sounds a turn table. There are videos he made of how he does some of his crazy sounds, also I think every song they’ve made is a banger.
I love your channel! Every video brings a much needed smile to my face. Could you react to Scars on Broadway - "They Say", please? Some may say it is very appropriate this week! Here are five different songs from various styles and genres that I think you'd appreciate Metallica - Enter Sandman Muse - Butterflies and Hurricanes 30 Seconds to Mars - The Kill Digital Underground - Same Song (trust me, you’ll LOVE reacting to this one because of a cameo) Linkin Park - Numb
I never liked Rage’s sound but I fw the message. Have you ever heard of Sublime? Doin Time and April 29, 1992 are classics with chiller music and styles.
Some options you might like for Rage against the machine... Renagades of Funk (afrika bambaataa cover) How I could just kill a man (cypress hill cover) Bulls on parade sleep now in the fire guerrilla radio pistol grip pump (cover) Maggie's farm (bob dylan cover)
This seems to be everyone’s first reaction for this group. I gotta be honest, if this was the first song I heard from them, I probably would’ve had a lukewarm reaction to it. They have many other songs that are just better lyrically and musically, like Know Your Enemy, Down Rodeo, Renegades of Funk, Testify, etc. Maybe they won’t be your cup of tea, but what they’re saying in these songs definitely needs to be analyzed, because it’s borderline genius. ✌🏽
Rage Against The Machine are very unique. You mentioned the Lyrics being relevant today, it’s very true, one of the things that has gained RATM their longevity is how they remain relevant throughout different generations. This song became Number 1 in my country UK in 2009, 17 years after its release just to protest X Factor having another Christmas Number 1. Crazy thing it’s one of their more basic songs overall imo despite how influential it is. I think you should listen to Know Your Enemy, Bulls On Parade, Take The Power Back & Freedom at some point. Also think you would love System of a Down, again very unique but has similarities to Korn & RATM for different reasons.
Rage is one of the greatest bands ever . Very political. My personal favorite track is "Bulls on Parade" so check that one out. Please react to System Of A Down . One of the best bands from the Nu Metal genre.
Raging against the machine still to this day. I fear that their lyrics will still be relevant 20 years from now. May I suggest the song "Know Your Enemy"? I think that one will get you grooving and the message of the lyrics will make you think, "Holy Shit this guy knows what's up".
Really enjoying the vids, Have a listen to some Primal Scream songs from their 1991 album Screamadelica - Loaded, Come Together, Damaged, Shine Like Stars, in fact the whole album is just wicked and deep, their most successful song is Rocks, there is also another British group named the Stereophonics - Dakota, Local Boy in the Photograph, Bartender and the Thief, Handbags and Gladrags.
Bone Thugs N Harmony is my favorite band. It's a rap group, not a rock band. They revolutionized the sing/rap style. A song I think you would like from them is Notorious Thugs featuring Biggie.
look at that subscriber count growing! this is the kinda rap rock i can get into. big zack is the real deal! the kinda music you want to start a riot to. listen to bulls on parade. it's the best song for a new listener imo.
RATM are one of the most important and influential bands ever Just like all of the other bands you are discovering you need to give it time Music is for the soul Not just for the ears and mind 💯♥️🇦🇺
You should react to Audioslave. Its Rage against the machine minus the lead singer. The singer of that group is Chris Cornell from Soundgarden. I would highly recommend Cochise, I am the Highway, Show me how to live, and Like a stone to start with. They are amazing.
Killing in the Name is catchy and the instrumentation is amazing. However, that's the most mainstream version of Rage Against the Machine you'll ever get. It's not a bad thing, but it does lack some of the substance that made Rage great. I recommend listening to the songs that weren't played much, or at all, on the radio. Songs like Down Rodeo, Know Your Enemy, Freedom, Vietnow, have some of the best head-banging beats and the bars are top tier. Check out Bulls on Parade and People of the Sun for more well known examples of RATM.
You should listen to Audioslave - “Show me How to Live” Basically “Rage Against the Machine” with Chris Cornell singing. That is more up your alley singing wise, I would guess.
Hello my Mia❤ I actually saw them in the late 90’s in Roseland in Manhattan and they walked off the stage after 1 song. It was a crazy experience but wasn’t my scene, Biohazard (another group) played that night and they were cool 😎 Have I mentioned LED ZEPPELIN today yet?😂😂😂
"Bulls on Parade" is a banger from them. Ull like.
Please give them another shot. This is their most repetitive song, lyric wise, but it needed to be. This was all about the message. The lead vocalist, Zach de la Rocha, is more of a rapper than a singer but he's technically both. Check out "Bulls On Parade" for a more lyrical song by them.
Pantera - Cemetery Gates (full 7 min Version)... c'mon fellas, back me up on this... you know she'll love it
Yes!
Pantera - Walk. As well.
Def gotta do the full version and not the shorter official music video!
Absolutely agree
Sorry, but if we're going with Pantera, it should be the oft overlooked "by demons be driven"

Most of their catalog is awesome, but a couple of my favorites off the top of the head would be "Down Rodeo" and "The Renegades of Funk."
Renegades of Funk is underrated.
@@matthewdooley7855 very much is
Renegades of funk is a cover
Renegades of Funk is one of my favorites and Zach kills it with the lyrics
Fucking love SOAD
@HighlyAdept they never wrote a bad song IMO
@@ShadowRyu I can't think of a bad song lol.
I’m surprised we haven’t gotten SOAD yet. Normally reactors do system, Slipknot and Korn together right after another. Even their newer stuff is good.

Definitely. Especially Audioslave - Show Me How To Live.
And don't forget. Soundgarden - Black Hole Sun.
I was lucky to see Rage live when I was a "kid" and Wu-Tan opened for them. That concert will never be surpassed.
Oh I love Rage
Bulls on Parade, Gorilla Radio, No Shelter, Bomb Track, Sleep Now in the Fire, Born of a Broken Man, Testify, People of the Sun
Such a great band.
YES! this song is timeless. loved your reaction. it's all about the lyrics
Mia stayin' consistent, keep it up. 🔥🔥
"wake up" next with lyircs tho, and this song was about police brutality.
"The track was inspired by one specific incident of police brutality, the beating of Rodney King in 1991 by members of the LAPD. i second that
Band: Killswitch Engage
Song: End of Heartache (Album version NOT the music video or radio edit)
I recommended that one as well
Killswitch Engage - Us Againsts The World
It’s always nice when two of my favorite things come together.
Haha! I love her top, and the shirt is nice as well 👌
Enjoying the range of music your posting here.
I have fond memories of rocking out to this song at High School parties in the late 90's.

Breaking benjamin... the song SO COLD is..... a masterpiece!!!! 😮🎉, listen plis ❤
Would be cool to see you react to Heilung. Very different music, meditative and powerful at the same time.
This popped up on my main and said out loud "She's going to like this." I didn't like Zach's sound for a long time but it grows on you. RATM rocks and never goes out of style! My favorites are Wake up, Take the Power Back, and and War Within A Breath
Tom Morello on guitar. same guy who did the solo in "Like a Stone" by Audioslave.

That entire album 🔥

*eyes drawn to the virility of veins* but rage is such a dope band. When I am in a rebellious mood I love jamming to some rage on the way to work.
Two awesome songs are Wake Up and Freedom.
Rage 's songs all have a social statement. Zack is actually considered a rapper amd not a singer. There is still very relevant today
Bands of the 90's are the best !! Thank You !!!!!! NIce Choice :)
Bulls On Parade should be the next song that you react to from them. You will experience how great they really were!
A few year's ago, in the UK we(the general public) got this choon to number 1 in the chart's at Christmas as part of a protest against the crap talent show's manufactured pop.
My favorite ban in the late 90s early 2000s. Nothing is better.
Avenged Sevenfold, Metallica, Pantera
Rage's best song is "Down Rodeo." If you decide to check them out again, you should definitely listen to that one.
If you only listen to 1 more Rage Against The Machine song, I highly recommend "Mic Check."
you NEED to continue with Rage
guitarist is in the audioslave video (just FYI)
She the cutest react person I ever seen , praise the lord 🙌
FREEDOM is one of my favorite songs on this Album
You should check out
Rage Against The Machine - Killing In The Name (Live At Finsbury Park). This one in particular has HUGE energy and crowd size.

Definitely old to today's standards, came out in '92. Bulls on parade and Bullet in the head are also nice:) Luv your reactions ❤
Please react to A System of a Down (Chop Suey or Toxicity)
Came out in ‘92. “Rap metal” is what would people consider this which would be a catalyst of “nu metal” like Linkin Park and Limp Biscuit. If you’re more into dynamic singing Chris Cornell sings with the other band members. Zach de la Rocha is a great rapper👌🏾.
Bizkit, not biscuit lmao
Fair my fault

Such an iconic song..
I think you might like Falling In Reverse. Song is called Ronnie . Great song and the music video is fire 🔥
I have a suggestion for you. Different genre, something new for you (I hope), but I think you're gonna like it: The Cure. You'll love them!
I'd suggest Sleep Now in the Fire, Bulls on Parade, or Guerilla Radio.
Raging against the machine still to this day. I fear that their lyrics will still be relevant 20 years from now. May I suggest the song "Know Your Enemy"? I think that one will get you grooving and the message of the lyrics will make you think, "Holy Shit this guy knows what's up".

Gotta put her on to System of a Down
Helllo sweet Mia
Check out bulls on parade from them.
RATM are one of the most important and influential bands ever
Just like all of the other bands you are discovering you need to give it time
Music is for the soul
Not just for the ears and mind 💯♥️🇦🇺
Also, yeah, Pantera Cemetery Gates vid for sure. You won't regret it.
It’s a protest song after the Rodney king incident.
Hatebreed is worth the listen I promise
Great song, great reaction, but lets be honest....that halter top(?) is the star of the show!
I can’t stand RAGM, but the thumbnail got me. I’m not made of stone
It is high time to react Depeche Mode
I know you love the drums. I really think you'd like Sepultura's track Refuse Resist.
You should react to Audioslave. Its Rage against the machine minus the lead singer. The singer of that group is Chris Cornell from Soundgarden. I would highly recommend Cochise, I am the Highway, Show me how to live, and Like a stone to start with. They are amazing.

My favorite song by rage against the machine is definitely testify.
If you’re into heavy music with great vocals, then I would suggest Judas Pries - dreamer deceiver/decaiver. It’s a classic!
Bullet in the head is one of my favorites
You should listen to Audioslave - “Show me How to Live”
Basically “Rage Against the Machine” with Chris Cornell singing.
That is more up your alley singing wise, I would guess.
Hello my Mia❤ I actually saw them in the late 90’s in Roseland in Manhattan and they walked off the stage after 1 song. It was a crazy experience but wasn’t my scene, Biohazard (another group) played that night and they were cool 😎
Have I mentioned LED ZEPPELIN today yet?😂😂😂
Bombtrack, people of the sun, know your enemy, bulls on parade rolling dow rodeo
Gorilla radio is my personal fav rage song.
Next Rage Against The Machine song you listen to should be People of the Sun. Official video.
Pretty sure wasn’t paying full attention as I had a sudden urge to go “motorboating”…😅
Try watching in zoom mode
