Part 1: • Nicholas Irving on Fil...
    --------
Military veteran Nicholas Irving discussed the harsh realities of war, criticizing the glamorization of soldiers and snipers in media. He believes movies like 'Saving Private Ryan' and 'Lone Survivor' do provide some insight into the intensity and reality of combat. However, Irving described how most films fail to capture the full reality of war, as they can only be so graphic and often omit the most disturbing events from the narrative. Illustrating these realities, Irving recounted a horrifying experience in Iraq when a pregnant woman was shot by a sniper while reaching for an AK, resulting in the premature birth of her baby, and mentioned the unimaginable experience of piecing together body parts on the battlefield.

Imagine how it was back in Vietnam days, when they just grabbed cats right out of high school and sent them to war after three months of training or however long it was. Nicholas dreamed of being a soldier since he was a kid and seeing war for real was tough for him. Imagine if you always dreamed of being a movie star or just a regular hubby and dad, and all of a sudden you are hearing weird sounds inside a hut that later turn out to be babies dropping out of some sniper-shot pregnant woman's belly...a pregnant woman who was shot to death because she was grabbing an AK she was gonna kill you with. You're sorry she's dead, but...would you rather it be you? Heavy stuff. War is hell.

I know soldiers from the marines and army branches, and trust me, I cried when I heard they were deploying our soldiers to go to Israel/Ukraine for something that we did not agree to get involved with. And people are misled to think we're doing the right thing. F-no! We're sending out our young fellows to fight a war for these rich bastards. Hollywood didn't do us a favor by glamourizing war.

I had yet to detach from that mentality and making a joke out of death just to cope with it. Three things I could close my eyes and relive like it was yesterday is sfc. C. Won't say his name out of respect. But him burning alive screaming and we just couldn't do anything. The smell then the silence. And the sound of a RPG flying towards me. And the scream of a mother who's baby just got killed by an Afghan soldier. 12 years since I last deployed and it feels like yesterday.

Especially fury it shows how there's no plot armor in actual war.
All the main characters emphasized were all dead, pertaining to the team that was mostly shown. Thinking they will all survive or some, yet the realism of war is even Norman would have died, even though there are cases where the opposite team did show mercy or empathy in certain situations. Yeah there are some movies that may show an undertone of realism. Yet not likely.
Once I analyze that movie for what it is, it was about right. The whole team would have mostly likely died, though not in that orderly fashion of course.

He ain’t lying about some people not being able to watch what it’s really like. I forget what the soldiers name was that died of an OD after he got out but I remember typing in his name on here and a video of them in an actual war just walking around all these dead bodies.. I cut the video so quick once I saw that shit.. I didn’t need to see anymore. It’s different when it’s a movie with special effects vs actually seeing a dead body. Fuck that.

How did you expect those poor people in Iraq to react, after you had illegally and unjustly invaded their country? All for lies, greed , just to benefit those elitists. You guys should go and do volunteer work for those poor guys for the rest of your lives. And that still is not enough for all the atrocities and the harm you had done. I shouldn't thank you as a U.S citizen, the ones that should thank you for your service, is Haliburton ( WAR PROFITEERING COMPANY), and oil companies, defense or correct term offensive contractors. Shame on you guys, A total disgrace.
