    Part 1: • Nicholas Irving on Fil...
    --------
    Former US Army sniper Nicholas Irving discussed the harrowing realities of one of his deployments, revealing that his battalion killed over 1,000 people in three months. He recounted a particular kill that shook him, as he had to engage a combatant while hearing his mother crying in the background. After killing the armed combatant, the troops typically documented the event by taking photos of the body alongside their weapons. However, Irving emphasized that the photographic evidence wasn't a form of trophy keeping but was meant to confirm kills and rule out unlawful killings. Irving admitted to keeping a photo of a kill where he took a close-range shot, not as a memento but as a practical learning aid for improving his shooting accuracy.

    I used to work with this guy who was in his early 30’s at the time. He was in the military for 10 years and in action. He used to tell us dozens of stories. He looked so broken. Very fragile, mentally, and soft spoken. His eyes just looked like they’d seen Hell. We were talking one day about his 10 years and he told me he regretted it and that he was out there fighting for the wrong cause. His words, not mine. He showed me a picture one day of about 8 men and said “You see all these guys, my friends, all were killed in action.”

Anyway the guy I worked with job was to sweep a house and he said he has easily done over 400. The idea of war is for politicians and religious (churches to stay on top). Makes zero sense at all but also makes sense that people believe in that bullshit because the politicians and religious leaders never tell you the whole truth in school or media, don't want you to travel to see truth (political borders), get you to fight each other (democrats and republicans are fancy gangs), and most importantly get you to go against human nature. Politics and religion is the most unnatural things on earth that cause essentially ALL the problems on earth.

      US imperialism. Your population is "convinced" into believing these wars and insurgencies are necessary. That fighting for your country is heroic and morally just. But you are basically fighting to dominate and homogenize the world under corporate interests. Because corporate interests are "America". Hegemony is the goal. Corporations and the super rich call the shots. You are unnecessarily controlled by the political class. The US global policy requires subordination, if that isn't excepted then a coup, war or crippling sanctions are used to pry power from the independent state. The 20th century is about US global hegemony. If only it were as simple as 'good vs evil'. That's a child's perception of morality and we're consciously infantilised by rhetoric and false narratives of glory and duty. Duty to who? Business interests of the super rich. It's disturbing to unpick and hard to disregard the programming we receive through corporate media, school, politics etc. But look at your presidential candidates for f+@ks sake. How corrupt the socio-cultural landscape has become. Not just the USA of course. But unfortunately for normal citizens there it's ground zero.

    • @Siegefya
      @Siegefya 7 місяців тому +6

      He's actually good imo, based on my experience, as a veteran, no I was not a trigger puller like him, but I do have trauma from my time in, from deployment and other things outside of deployment. But, having done group PTSD therapy, and one on one therapy, being able to even talk about it, is actually a good sign. Being able to talk about it without getting super mad, or super sad and breaking down, being able to talk about it and not have a really bad reaction to speaking on it isn't a bad thing actually, not always, I mean there is the "no emotion" or "flat emotion" aspect to PTSD, which isn't a good thing either, but I don't think that's what he's experiencing. Now, idk how this man is at night, idk how this man is away from this camera, idk him like that. IDK if he's on meds, hell, meds can help tremendously. Many vets talk bad about how the VA pushes so much drugs on us, well, some of them drugs help a lot. Ritalin actually helps me tremendously of all things, and I recommend people with PTSD who are interested in medication, to try out the ADHD based stimulants. I reacted bad to the antipsychotics and and antidepressants, but the stims actually helped me the most for some reason which is weird because they are supposed to not help with anxiety and things like that but they help for mine. Anyways, idk maybe he's medicated, maybe he has made piece with it. Just hearing him talk in these interviews about these very rough circumstances, I'm not a mental health pro, but I think he handles his traumas well.
