Why Some Men Don't Taste Life

  • In this video, I reflect on the journey of faith and manhood, emphasizing that life’s true growth happens in moments of uncertainty, fear, and adversity. Society teaches us to avoid discomfort through distractions, but embracing challenges shapes our character and aligns us with God's will. I discuss the importance of long-term goals over short-term pleasures, the value of trusting closed doors as God's protection, and the patience required during seasons of waiting. As men, we must resist the urge to control everything, instead choosing faith to navigate life’s foggy path. Ultimately, our journey of faith defines us, and living with principle and vision leads to a life of purpose and fulfillment. Keywords: faith journey, Christian manhood, overcoming adversity, embracing uncertainty, living with purpose.

      If the world hates you then all you can do is love it. If you hate her, you've wasted your life. A smile doesn't cost anything, just sometimes it takes a little effort. Anyone who opens their heart and carries the burden of others will be thrown into a pit.
      you reap what you sow
      you can love but not always be loved. Some say you love fish but if you loved it you wouldn't cook or eat it. people “like” to eat fish.
      Make love, not war.

    I recently stopped drugs and alcohol cold turkey. I'm also trying to cut out nicotine all at once. This happened this week. I got reccomended this video while having cravings and it's gone now thank you so much this is exactly what I needed to hear. Every bit of it. I'm 19 and I'm hoping my story brings others who fell into my lifestyle to God. I need prayers from all of you to help me fight these cravings though they are very bad. I thank all of you who read this in advance.

    Father. I have experienced a self induced drowning by way of greed and gambling addiction. Alcohol, random women, and short term pleasures ruled my life. I got myself into debt because i couldnt find gratitude to God for having a good job, being able to pay rent, and still having a little extra every month. Over almost 2 years i dug a deeper hole, fell deeper into the ocean of my self drowning. I am convinced that God gave me this adversity because i had turned my eyes away from Him and His plan. I have been a problem child Lord please have mercy on me. I am now working 2 jobs and will be back on solid footing in this physical world financially in about 1 year. But my faith has been cemented because God has given me the strength to swim up for air again and i know that i will be stronger and better man through Him because of what i have gone through. Thank you so much for the video

    Father Moses, you have no idea how much I needed this right now. I had my first child in June 24’. My little boy❤. And I’m a union floor installer out of Chicago. I havnt worked in a year. No unemployment. And I feel the pressure of this world weighing on me tremendously. My fiancé works. So I’m basically a stay home dad for now. Bills are piling up, the waters are going over my neck. But when I see my beautiful precious son, I realize this is the greatest gift of all. I put my faith in God, Everyday is a gift and a blessing. And I am at peace. And the fact I came across this video now, it’s EXACTLY what I needed to hear. Thank you father Moses. Glory be to Christ ☦️

      Also, I’m a recovering addict, Cocaine. I lost allot because of this stronghold. How you broke it down about us going to drugs to not feel the negative feelings of life, that’s all I ever did. I’m a father now. And this, this is the greatest gift. I never felt such strong passionate love for someone like this before. Now I understand how much God loves us. I had no idea

    • @OrionTheOwtlaw
      @OrionTheOwtlaw Місяць тому

      Union floor installer, but stay at home dad.... weight of the world but your fiance is out working in the world. Take on more responsibility and get a job for your sons sake. That will make you feel even better. More than this video ever can. "Figuring it out" and accepting responsibility is part of a man's never-ending journey.

    • @nicku2584
      @nicku2584 Місяць тому

      I’m not stay at home out of choice. I’m pulling side jobs and doing moving jobs too for cash. But a steady union paying job, it’s super slow out here. Many guys in my local are laid off. Economy is trash right now for construction in Chicago. Nobody wants to build right now. But I’m just looking on the bright side with what I said. Trust me I’m out looking.

    just before you posted I was in the middle of a prayer asking god if I am on the right path. and in your video you describe exactly my latest approaches to life. so I started crying and thanking god for the answer. I also want to take the time to thank you personally father. I've recently found your channel and I've went through all your videos and I really enjoyed all of them. I come from a troubled past where I served the wrong god/s but recently through faith and love I successfully turned my face to the one true god and I am on a continuous journey towards understanding and loving my god more and more. you are part of this journey as I lacked a healthy father figure while growing up and ended up listening to the wrong types of man. but discovering you and other healthy, good men, I managed to understand and learn what true masculinity is about. so god bless you father and thank you for all the information and love you spread. I trully wish you the best ❤

      For your own growth. It’s like having a child, you don’t do everything for them, it cripples them in life. You enjoy seeing them struggle and hurt a bit because it teaches them that in the end everything will be okay, and they will learn how to find other ways, other resources. To never give up at no cost. (you are the child in this case)

Understanding God's love and grace, salvation from sin, restoration to God's family, eternal life in God's kingdom without suffering - this is the context. In that context, failure is acceptable because ultimately, God has succeeded on our behalf. Suffering is endurable because there will be an end to it.

    For a long time I looked into various forms of philosophy (e.g., Stoicism, cynicism, Daoism, Buddhism) and practice (e.g., "frame," meditation, mindfulness) because I cannot bear experiencing feelings and thoughts that make me weak. I told myself that I should always be in top form; that everything must be done perfectly; that those who I hold dear should never express dissatisfaction; and that if for some reason I fail to do all three (and I fail quite often), I should by no means feel disappointed, depressed, sad, nauseated, or anxious.
    I wished to rid myself of these emotions, not knowing that they constitute what we termed "being alive"; and that escape is not really an option (for it only delays the inevitable).
    Thank you, Father, for making me realize what "getting a taste of life" truly means. I pray that blessings of the Triune God always be with you.

    Father Moses! Your videos make us (at least me) want to smash gym PRs and life goals, marry and raise future saints, while at the same time go cry to God, pour our heart to Him, ask for forgiveness and for His help in everything! I pray for you and everyone who gets to see your videos, and for everyone who is struggling and longs for Christ. May we all see eachother at Heaven's gate, praying to the Mother of God and all the Saints to let us in. Amen. ☦️

    Excellent advice, I am a young man (22) and I started to get lots of doors shut on me. But as you said, this is also an answer, maybe I deserve more but as long as I dont put the effort or do the right things doors wont open. Until this year it frustrated me a lot but I learned that nobody owes me anything and things dont come for granted.
    No is a better answer in many cases if you can understand and accept it.
