When we are anxious about things Jesus tells us not to worry about then we know we can stop paying attention to it without fear of any consequence. I'm a Roman Catholic who has been watching Father Spyridon's videos for months. I'm a Protestant, and also has been watching Father Spyridon's videos for some time. Whilst I might not agree with everything that he says, he definitely unpacks wisdom. Not only from teaching of the church fathers, but more importantly from Scripture, and ultimately from the Holy Spirit who lives in all of his children. The Scripture is clear that we all sin and will continue to sin until we are fully restored and will be in God presence forever. The sign of a true believer is that we repent - we can not just continue to wallow in our sin.

To do that, I got covenant eyes and also an app called screen zen that will block certain apps. By cutting off access completely to that, I have actually felt some freedom from it for once. Also just letting this issue be known to fellow believers and bringing it into the light, you can defeat it. Telling a trusted individual really helped me to do something about it. I know how difficult this struggle is, just remember you’re not alone and it’s possible to find complete freedom in this area through Jesus. Same, I sinned again even when it's fasting time essentially breaking my fast with sin. I hate sin because I can't take it back and it weighs on me, I always look to undo it even though it isn't possible. I've been a protestant for over 30 years, active in a variety of denominations. I'm now an inquirer attending catechism at the local mission parish. I've witnessed the most lofty of orators stand behind pulpits swaying the lives of thousands. But this might be the most powerful sermon I've ever heard. I'm deeply grateful to The Lord for giving us Fr. Spyridon who is the brightest beacon in the darkest of days.

So glad I found your channel after seeing you on reels. I’m currently studying to become a Protestant minister in the States, and to be able to hear both the Scriptures and Christ rightly preached by a priest from a denomination that is altogether foreign to me is such a tremendous comfort. I cannot express how wonderful it is to know that we are all laboring for Christ Jesus despite our vast histories and cultural contexts. Lord keep you, sir.
Thank you Father. This is enlightening. I sin habitually- daily. I smoke weed and vape regularly. It takes a great effort for me to go hours without nicotine, and it is very difficult for me to not lean on marijuana to help me sleep. Ive been an anxious mess my whole life, and my life is 100% better since I came to Christ…but im deeply confused and conflicted by my addictions. I repent every night, just to repeat said sin of smoking before bed. I feel powerless. I cry almost every night the last few weeks, praying and begging to be changed- i do not know why I keep choosing my vices. I am a lukewarm Christian in my action…i do not know repentance despite me trying, I have had the Lords forgiveness but chose to self-medicate instead of baring this cross. I pray for direct help from Christ, I cannot do this on my own…I am overwhelmed and confused by what I do. I hate what I do. Despite this, I have faith that Christ will restore me in time..as long as I keep trying. I wish to be free from my vice..i would like to rest my head at night, knowing I do not need any substance to feel okay.

I am a protestant evangelical here in the midwest of the States and I have to say this channel has been a huge blessing. Understanding other parts of the faith, other members and how they think about our God. It’s just amazing. These videos just calm me down and make me think. Not just about the dogmas of the faith but how my baptist foundation can be helped and shaped by my other brothers and sisters across history and the globe. Thank you for opening up a protestant’s eyes to Christians on the other side of the doctrinal siding. Respectfully, are no "other parts of the faith". There is only one faith taught by Christ and preserved by through His Holy Orthodox Church. You are either in it or you are outside of it. The best way you can help yourself and other Baptists is to repent and become part of the Church. I don't say this to "point score" online or "win" a debate but only out of love and I can promise you will not regret it, I spent time as a baptist before coming to Orthodoxy and the difference is life changing. I repent my sins sincerely and with a great, great depth of feeling. I know I hurt Jesus Christ when I say or do something bad. I know this. And I repent of it. I just wish I could feel forgiven, because I don't. Even the few things I have managed to stop doing, to have stopped those sins, I don't feel forgiven of them. I still am just grieved that I committed them. Maybe this is a cross to bear for me. I don't know. Thank you Father for your videos. I was baptized born again Baptist... But this is one of the reasons I left that denomination. I no longer even call myself a Christian due to the fact that it's been made dirty by those that say "all roads lead to God". I am a Bible Believing Jesus Follower. This is such an amazing teaching. This is truely mindblowing to me. I tried to find God thru protestantism and it's legalism because of my regrets in life, but in truth it proved to be nothing but destructive to my concience making me feel empty and hollow and more Godless than before i ever touched a Bible. Of course he is. Your protestant brothers and sisters need to read Matthew 16:18 and 2 Thessalonians 2:15, then repent and convert to the true universal Catholic faith.
@AndrewAarvold none of these passages suggest that only the Catholic church should be followed. I am a methodist because I think that the additions to the bible done by the Catholic Church and some of the actions of the church are unholy at best and blasphemous at worst. This does not mean I am correct or my church is the only way, more so I ask you, why are you Catholic? I find it is easy for the Catholics I have met to fall into a checklist Christianity that my church speaks highly against. So I say to you, remember to be humble and make no assumptions you are more right than others.

I have never attended an Orthodox church but when I called on the name of Jesus I was saved and began to see my life drastically change. Read scripture! And don’t interpret it in a way that fits your narrative. Scripture is what defines tradition not vice versa. Seek the Lord with all your heart and He will remove that sectarian mentality that He does not approve of in 1 Corinthians 1:10-13.

As a Roman Catholic i pray to God we could be blessed with Priests and Saints like Father Spyridon. He is filled with the Holy Spirit and preaches the Gospel and the "Truth" a true disciple of Jesus Christ . We have much in common in our christian faith the Trinity eucharist , confession, all sacraments , gospel, theodokis Mary. Etc etc etc ... i would move to the orthodox church in the morning .❤ i love my orthodox brothers and sisters in Christ .
The Orthodox Church is the body of Christ. Anything outside of the Orthodox Church is heresy, it is not the body of Christ. I say this with love. Maybe you should visit an Orthodox Church near you. God bless you.

I reflect on my sins and say an "Act of Contrition" every night before I go to sleep. I feel that I am at the mercy of God, head down, ashamed, emptied, waiting for him to extend his hand. I'm a Roman Catholic who has been watching Father Spyridon's videos for months. While he says that he is only sharing the wisdom of the saints, he has a beautiful way of presenting their knowledge to us. Whilst I might not agree with everything that he says, he definitely unpacks wisdom. Not only from teaching of the church fathers, but more importantly from Scripture, and ultimately from the Holy Spirit who lives in all of his children.
The Scripture is clear that we all sin and will continue to sin until we are fully restored and will be in God presence forever. The sign of a true believer is that we repent - we can not just continue to wallow in our sin.
This guy has knowledge and he presents it in a very digestible way. I'm 17 and i watch this guy a lot the Lord helped me during hard times through this man

@@coolbombprime986what really helped me was Matthew 5:30 which says if your arm causes you to sin, cut it off. For me, “cutting my arm off” was cutting off all my access to any porn. To do that, I got covenant eyes and also an app called screen zen that will block certain apps. By cutting off access completely to that, I have actually felt some freedom from it for once.
Also just letting this issue be known to fellow believers and bringing it into the light, you can defeat it. Telling a trusted individual really helped me to do something about it.
I know how difficult this struggle is, just remember you’re not alone and it’s possible to find complete freedom in this area through Jesus.

I've been a protestant for over 30 years, active in a variety of denominations. I'm now an inquirer attending catechism at the local mission parish. I've witnessed the most lofty of orators stand behind pulpits swaying the lives of thousands. But this might be the most powerful sermon I've ever heard. This is enlightening. I sin habitually- daily. I smoke weed and vape regularly. It takes a great effort for me to go hours without nicotine, and it is very difficult for me to not lean on marijuana to help me sleep. Ive been an anxious mess my whole life, and my life is 100% better since I came to Christ…but im deeply confused and conflicted by my addictions. I repent every night, just to repeat said sin of smoking before bed. I feel powerless. I cry almost every night the last few weeks, praying and begging to be changed- i do not know why I keep choosing my vices. I am a lukewarm Christian in my action…i do not know repentance despite me trying, I have had the Lords forgiveness but chose to self-medicate instead of baring this cross. I pray for direct help from Christ, I cannot do this on my own…I am overwhelmed and confused by what I do. I hate what I do. Despite this, I have faith that Christ will restore me in time..as long as I keep trying. I wish to be free from my vice..i would like to rest my head at night, knowing I do not need any substance to feel okay.

I am a protestant evangelical here in the midwest of the States and I have to say this channel has been a huge blessing. Understanding other parts of the faith, other members and how they think about our God. It’s just amazing. These videos just calm me down and make me think. Not just about the dogmas of the faith but how my baptist foundation can be helped and shaped by my other brothers and sisters across history and the globe. Thank you for opening up a protestant’s eyes to Christians on the other side of the doctrinal siding. Respectfully, are no "other parts of the faith". There is only one faith taught by Christ and preserved by through His Holy Orthodox Church. You are either in it or you are outside of it. The best way you can help yourself and other Baptists is to repent and become part of the Church. I repent my sins sincerely and with a great, great depth of feeling. I know I hurt Jesus Christ when I say or do something bad. I know this. And I repent of it. I just wish I could feel forgiven, because I don't. Even the few things I have managed to stop doing, to have stopped those sins, I don't feel forgiven of them. I still am just grieved that I committed them. Maybe this is a cross to bear for me. I don't know. Thank you Father for your videos. You've given me hope in a very dark time in my life father. I find it increasingly difficult to live in the modern world as a Christian. I know that we aren't supposed to despair over repeated sins, but it's so hard to not feel miserable when we fall.

This is truely mindblowing to me. I tried to find God thru protestantism and it's legalism because of my regrets in life, but in truth it proved to be nothing but destructive to my concience making me feel empty and hollow and more Godless than before i ever touched a Bible. Now i am discovering Orthedoxy and that it affirms my objections, and it seems so much more beutifull and so much more real. Man i'm crying, I want to be baptized and part of your church!

I am a methodist because I think that the additions to the bible done by the Catholic Church and some of the actions of the church are unholy at best and blasphemous at worst. This does not mean I am correct or my church is the only way, more so I ask you, why are you Catholic? I find it is easy for the Catholics I have met to fall into a checklist Christianity that my church speaks highly against. So I say to you, remember to be humble and make no assumptions you are more right than others.

I have never attended an Orthodox church but when I called on the name of Jesus I was saved and began to see my life drastically change. Read scripture! And don’t interpret it in a way that fits your narrative. Scripture is what defines tradition not vice versa. Seek the Lord with all your heart and He will remove that sectarian mentality that He does not approve of in 1 Corinthians 1:10-13.

As a Roman Catholic i pray to God we could be blessed with Priests and Saints like Father Spyridon. He is filled with the Holy Spirit and preaches the Gospel and the "Truth" a true disciple of Jesus Christ . We have much in common in our christian faith the Trinity eucharist , confession, all sacraments , gospel, theodokis Mary. Etc etc etc ... i would move to the orthodox church in the morning .❤ i love my orthodox brothers and sisters in Christ .
The Orthodox Church is the body of Christ. Anything outside of the Orthodox Church is heresy, it is not the body of Christ. I say this with love. Maybe you should visit an Orthodox Church near you. God bless you.

Thank you for the message of salvation. "Without repentance there is no salvation". Simple like the Jesus pray. I may just get some bumper stickers printed. I reflect on my sins and say an "Act of Contrition" every night before I go to sleep. I feel that I am at the mercy of God, head down, ashamed, emptied, waiting for him to extend his hand.
