Ferrari F430 Manual - One Take

- Опубліковано 3 чер 2015
- Matt gets some coveted seat time in a 2006 Ferrari F430 with a 6-speed manual gearbox. These cars will become increasingly valuable as the F1's gearbox gets more and more outdated with the passing of time, and it's a genuine treat to go for a blast up the canyon in one.

Taking away all the manual ferraris is something Emperor Palpatine would do
Frank Stephenson has his own yt channel now, he needs to get on his podcast.
now THIS is a fucking Maad one take.

Alright enough dreaming about these things, time to get off my butt and start working for one!
Damn straight, live that dream!
you can always get one in scale 1/18 :)
iv already saved up half way. good luck to you guys. i can see my ferrari already!
@@Stanley4558 - Nice, I hope your saving extra for the manual!
What color is your F430 now?
This is one of the only "one takes" where the car looks like it easily handles the speed and curves, I mean it is a ferrari and all.
The cyclist that you turned in front called the other cyclist and said, hey there is a A-hole coming down the hill in a red Ferrari hold him up.
linkmiles1235 lol ...
linkmiles1235 Haha you'd think, right?!
I would’ve just passed him in the oncoming lane
M67v please stay out of the canyons
M67v - id just run his stupid ass over
The last best Ferrari, the one I would sell a limb to acquire. Nothing beats a Ferrari with a stick shift gearbox, and the F430 is a masterpiece.
Lol maybe I will. These things keep appreciating and I'm way too old to be thinking with my third leg. I wouldn't mind :P
The 458 is amazing
Dude if you sold a limb to get a manual ferrari you wont be able to drive a manual ferrari.
@@RuTube981 who says he can't get a prosthetic.
Great car! Good to see a stick. I love how on these cars EVERYTHING is covered in leather, looks like a quality item which will be timeless
***** but i have to say, that beige looks apalling to my eyes. if i'd buy one, i'd make sure it has a black interior.
givemeajackson Nooo! The tan is so ridiculously right for that car, man. Plus black leather seats in sunny CA doesn't sound like a great plan.
John Pendleton i have to agree with the latter point. luckily i live in often not-so-sunny switzerland ;)
givemeajackson Swedish chicks love a good tan interior. Scientific fact.
John Pendleton Not really, I made that up.
Matt, I'm only about 4.35 into this so far and just had to pause it and say, man: this is a breath of fresh air to hear someone talking like this about a stick shift. I too think these paddle shifts are so crap. Real drivers all want a manual shift WITH a clutch pedal. You have so much more control of the vehicle that way. Good stuff!!!
You can tell how confidence inspiring the car is by how fast Matt goes :)
Clearly the Ferrari rocks!
Smokin07ram stock cars, my friend. I trust them.
No no manual f430s are way more than 100k. They're the last manual v8 ferrari. it's going to be an instant collectors car
The last v8 manual ferrari was ferrari california
***** *proper v8 ferrari
FarhanAxiq I didn’t know they were even offered with 3 pedals.
Cucky Betamore the engine is in the wrong place
14.000 produced, it will stay stable but never truly a collectors car, too pedestrian
after driving all those tuner cars this must be heaven to drive a properly put together fast car like it is intended
So a quick, stable, reliable, inexpensive, practical, long lasting, easy to drive, great sounding, and ridiculously fun Ferrari for just $100,000? Damn.
Bicyclists shouldn't hog the whole damn lane except when necessary. Yes, there's a time and place for that type of thing, then there's just being a douche.
Nice job Matt. You and Chris Harris seem to be the only journalists at the moment actually conveying a real passion for the cars you're getting the privilege to drive. Love it! Awesome work dude!
Matt is one of those guys who you find yourself stopping his 13 minute video one minute in to hit the subscribe button, and picking up where you left off. You are just that confident that you WILL want to watch lots more. Also, have to agree 100%, if you buy a Ferrari, why would you ever think of anything except a manual!
I'd love to buy a manual 430, but I've got about 100,000 reasons to get an f1 transmission instead
@@michealjames5751 Like I would argue with either! The 430 is a dream no matter.
nobody ever loved the quirky gated shifters until they were long gone
I always like the ones with Matt by himself more. Great, as usual.
Now this was an enjoyable one take. Love the sound of the gated shifter. Great video Matt.
Such a good video. Thanks Matt! Watching this made my heart race. Loved the audio quality. Beautiful sounding car. I want one SO bad!!!
The Best Ferrari !!!!
F430 6-speed manual for ever !!!
The last mid-engine V8 Ferrari available with a stick
Such a rare car and so collectable... you gotta love that stick
What a car ! And nice review :)
Unlimited mile warranty? I call that a challenge!
My god. That biker at about the midpoint was driving me nuts.
Will Kinton yeah lol was he standing up too?
Will Kinton It's intentional. Cyclists are trained to take the lane their entitled to to avoid accidents. It's safer then some idiot trying to pass you on the bends.
The Ferrari F430 has been one of my dream cars ever since I saw it in PGR3. I even built a scale model Ferrari F430 Spider out of Legos when I was 12 and I still have it to this day. The Ferrari F430 Coupe 6-speed is one of only two European cars on my list of dream cars.
If I ever have enough cash to warrant a Ferrari, this would be the exact model I would want. It's the last of the manual Ferrari's before they exclusively go to double clutch trannies. Gated shifter for the win! You can feel the heritage come through whenever you drive one of these magnificent vehicles. You're a lucky guy Matt!
I couldn't turn my headphones up loud enough! That sound is amazing!
As a cyclist, I love how considerate Matt Farah is when he sees someone on a bicycle. Matt's the man! "Vehicular Homicide will ruin your day."
except that not more than a mile from the start he turned left in front of a bicycle with the right of way forcing him to stop short. he even mentioned it.
I met a middle aged executive at a Christmas party when I lived in Zurich some years ago. He ran over an entire group of cyclists in a full sized Audi SUV killing 3 and hospitalizing 5 others (with permanent injuries) after he tailgated them down a switchback pass and one of cyclists became nervous and crossed wheels with another causing chain reaction crash event. He didn't go to jail somehow but I always keep his story in my mind when riding around cyclists, you have to consider what the worst case scenario could be, what could go wrong when a multi-ton hunk of steel and glass becomes involved with humans with essentially no protection. Whatever the cyclist may have done wrong and however unintentional means little when you become involved in vehicular manslaughter. The look in this dudes eyes told me he never goes long without it torturing his conscience.
Total kick ass video Matt...the joy on your face in driving that sucker...from the moment you start it up...thanks for experiencing what most of us never will and describing it perfectly.
Very lucky to know people that will let you drive their badass cars! That's my dream right there. Driving a Ferrari down a beautiful mountain
Soon as I saw this pop up, I said to myself: "YES!!!"
Lol.
Very well said on the classic attribute of a manual box...nice vid Matt
Outstanding car :) Forget stats but the experience rowing thru the gears listening to that symphony at your own pace is priceless. Thanks for sharing Matt.
My favorite one take to date. Thank you Matt for sharing your experience with us!
My favourite looking Ferrari is the F355 GTS. That car looks amazing with the roof removed and the headlights up.
Leeroy Jones Yeah it looks great but it will never be running and will probably cost more to own than a newer Ferrari because it needs so much service.
mike p
Older Ferraris espesially ones from the 90's are pretty much maintenance free aslong as you have them seviced by a professional regularly.
Leeroy Jones They're maintenance free as long as you do all the expensive maintenance? That makes sense.
mike p
No that's not what I said, I said you need to get them seviced regularly the same as any ferrari new or old. Do you even know what a sevice is?
@5:35- 7:15 The poster child for why cyclists are loathed.
Coming from a cyclist, that one is a dick... How can you NOT let a Ferrari pass? I'm just thinking of that exhaust note ripping by me :-)
Brodey Dover Yep, Here it rip by @7k revs :D I'm not a fan of what Ferrari makes anymore, but these are cool cars
Brodey Dover I wouldn't have let him by either. Im enjoying the ride and would not let a Ferrari owner ruin it for me.
thomascampr So you take 2 seconds to let him by and never see it again, or you be a jerk and hold people up to try and prove a worthless point?
I road bike all the time, and I always let cars buy. It's just the right thing to do! However, this guy should probably have been more in the shoulder to begin with, instead of in the middle of the road.
even I am having a blast here sitting here in my computer at 11pm, I just can't even imagine how AWESOME it must be to drive a manual F430 on those hills, damn!
How did I miss this clip? Such a great video. Thanks a lot, Matt!
You gotta do a review of your manual Vanquish!
Yes!
Martin L he has one?
yes but he has said in the past the car is for him and will not "show it" sadly it would make a great one take.
Glorious! I'm not high on super cars, mainly cause I'm poor, but man, for ~$100k that seems well worth it. And that engine noise.......shhhaaaawinng!
Most honest review,6 speed manual gearbox is most rewarding to drive, what a wonderful drive!
Looks like you were really enjoying yourself with this one, more so than anything else I've seen you drive on these One Takes. That was cool to see.
I always and still LOVE the F430!
You clearly had so much fun driving it too :)
My first car was a manual shift, and every car I've had (I've had several) since then has been a stick shift. I don't care if the new stuff is faster with an automatic.
nice.
my man...
Thank you so much, Matt. We all tend to forget the slightly older supercars. Wonderful video, and much better than some of the recent cars.
Awesome review! I normally prefer when you have the owner present, but this one's absence actually GAVE you a chance to really focus on showing us the F430's driving characteristics AND talk in detail about the car, owning one, and even financial advice on having one in comparison to the 458. Frickin' GREAT! TheSmokingTire
First time I've made it to the end of one of these in a while
Matt you should drive an F40. Greatest Ferrari of all time.
BCJDM I would love to! But I can't fit in them. The stupid steering wheel and shifter position means my right knee goes where the shifter needs to be!
TheSmokingTire id Rather see a 458 or Gallado or even an Aventador hearing Matt's real views on those cars.
TheSmokingTire How about I do you a solid. You find the F40 and I will drive and review it for you.
Gazooo29 There is a video where Matt reviews an Aventador (Spyder), wasn't too happy from what i can remember.
As a bicyclist and a Ferrari owner, a couple of comments. I would never obstruct traffic the way that cyclist did. I truly dislike having a car trailing me. As far as the haters go, I think he is overstating it at least where I live. Most people give thumbs up, smile or take pictures. I believe the haters are people who question the owners motives even though they do not know them. I bought mine with my wife's encouragement following back surgery related to bone cancer. It was near the top on my bucket list and a replacement for my Harley which I had to sell.
I drove a Scuderia a few years back and it was incredible. Obviously not with a stick, but videos can't do the sound that V-8 makes justice.
This gentleman states a few times in this video about people giving a dirty look to someone driving a car like this. It reminds me of a very apt point that Adam Carrola made and I will wildly paraphrase it here.
------------------------------
When I was a kid, and a guy drove by my dad and I in a Ferrari, I would ask my dad, "Who is that guy? I wish I had a car like that!" My dad would answer, "That is Mr. Smith. He is very wealthy. You should look at how someone successful like that makes money, and if you work hard, maybe you can get a Ferrari too someday".
Today, a kid would be walking with his dad, and he would say, "Dad, who is driving that car, I wish I had a car like that!". And the dad would say "That is that fuc*ing Mr. Smith. He must have lied and cheated and stole poor peoples' money to get that car. Who does he think he is? He thinks he is better than me. I deserve that car more than he does".
-----------------------------
And therein lies the problem with some in our society. Instead of looking at nice things and aspiring to them, we hate the owners because we might not be able to afford one. I wonder what it is about people that are wired that way. Jealousy is one monster isn't it. When I was growing up, I lived in a very nice neighborhood called "The Woods". In high school, I lost count how many times someone said to me, "You think you are so great because you live in The Woods". I heard it all the time. Finally, this one big guy said it to me, and I was really fed up and I replied to him "No, I don't think I am so great. It's just that my dad is smarter and works harder and is BETTER than YOUR dad". That enraged the guy so much that he took a swing at me and missed, so mad that he couldn't think straight and as such, couldn't swing straight. I learned a lot that day about how jealousy is something some people have at their very core.
Today, the problem is, the grown ups are from the idiot generation that I went to school with, and now we see the results.
Truth. Apparently I was raised very differently than "normal". Jealousy and envy were considered unacceptable attitudes, aspiration was good. Seeing someone with a great car was an inspiration to finish my education, work hard, and make something of myself. My dad had a poster of an enviable garage titled "justification for higher education", and instead of whinging about wealthy people he always encouraged us to strive for advancement, to work for success. I don't have the Ferrari yet, but I'm making progress in that direction, getting measurably closer. Someday I will get there... and cars like this manual F430 are still an inspiration to keep going.
1:19 Hits Biker. Biker says he's vegan. Episode continues.
"Hey! I'm Vegan!"
😭😭😭
Agree with so many of your points Matt. Driven and been in a few Ferraris and so many observations are true, from the driving experience to the stigma attached. Fantastic review.
I don't think I've seen Matt Farah this excited in any other One Take that he's done. Rightfully so. Watching that thing take corners, listening to the shift gate let you know when you've arrived and the howl of that exhaust had me glued to the screen.
I surely will experience this at least once in a car like that.
I'm not that big on on the F430, but knowing there's a manual one increased its likability by a bunch!
This is Ferrari's prettiest design ever.
The 360 and F430 are the last pretty ones. The newest ones are too sharp and angular
+Ralphie Leonard ^
+Ralphie Leonard I actually think they look too mclaren like.
The 430 Scuderia was just perfect IMO.
agreed.
Stoked when I saw that gated shifter...can't wait til I get to drive a car with one of those...always caught my eye ever since I was a kid
As I understand, you own an Aston Martin Vanquish with the very rare manual gearbox conversion... you MUST review that incredible and stunning car, the last handmade Aston Martin at Newport Pagnell factory, only 2578 ever made (1086 of them were Vanquish S with 520 bhp and more than 200 mph top speed).
Highly collectable car, one of the greatest engine sounds ever.
So much charisma, muscular design, huge road presence.
One of the most beautiful cars ever built.
And once again, this 6-speed manual F430 is just incredible... LOVE IT !!!!
Think we could see you do an e39 m5 review?
Ryan X I had an E39 M5 on the schedule. Blew his engine 2 weeks before the shoot. Be awhile before we see another.
TheSmokingTire can you believe how expensive they are getting for a good condition used e39 m5? When I purchased my 540i 6spd the m5 was maybe double for a good condition specimen. Considering they were 70k new in 2003, a driven but good condition one is going for forty thousand and up now!! There goes my dream of supercharging one.
TheAceHD Even more so considering that people had forgotten about them five years ago and they could be had for 9grand for what you'll now get for 22grand - seemingly good condition 120xxx miles with large upcoming maintenance.
TheAceHD who's paying $40k for an E39? What a waste of money.
TheSmokingTire A mint condition E39 M5 in Norway cost about $50k. We are so fucked by taxes.
I didn't know they made the F430 with stick shift. Every video I've seen, the F430 was an auto. I got a lot more love for the F430 now!
The F1 is NOT an AUTO.
@@christschool what are you talking about ? What F1 ?
That was a really good way to describe why a manual is often the better choice.
this is the way to do reviews, great job and reveiwing comes very naturally with you
I wonder why racing sequentials never caught on and manufactures went from H pattern to flappy paddles. Sequentials would have been great in road cars and way more enjoyable than paddles, as you still get a stick and you get a clutch pedal. The only cars I can think of that had one are the Mosler and Gumpert Apollo.
DeaKen002 Maybe they are not that good at normal speeds or they cost way too much to manufacture compared to dual clutch ones?
DeaKen002 That was always my thought but i suppose thats not high tech enough for most people who buy these cars but who knows lol. I really prefer good old manual and its unfortunate how they are slowly disappearing n high end super cars and such.
Mzn T Yeah its probably not very civilised for normal everyday use, probably not the sort of gear change you want when popping to the shops for a pint of milk or to work. Would be cool to see in more hardcore stuff like the XKR -S GT, Z/28 Camaro or those super hardcore Renault Meganes.
DeaKen002
I agree with that. It definitely would be a sick option though in certain cars like you listed. I would even take it over paddles in alot of cars but i truly prefer good old manual.
xarnoldx10 I really can't see why more manufactures don't offer both, even hot hatches seem to be going from manuals too.
it wouldn't have cost that cyclist 5 seconds to slow down and let you past especially on a downhill. i like driving as much as i like riding, courtesy goes a long way and guys like that do nothing but give other bikers a bad rep. :(
I agree. However, as a person that used to ride my bike often, I understand why he wanted to make the most of that downhill.
Seems like you finally got the hang of the sound! Good balance between your voice and exhaust
wow. I love the look of those seats and the interior
many of you are gonna think I'm fucking crazy, but I cant help associate the sound of a manual na ferrari v8 with honda vtec.
You know what, at least on video I would was thinking that it sounded similar to my car lol. I'm sure in person it sounds much different though
This type of design (flatplane V8) is basically two inline-fours with a shared crankshaft, hence the similar sound characteristics.
hdrmobile ahhh, thanks for the info!
in person it will sound diffrent
Gotta love that Ferrari V8.
Awesome video Matt, incredible car!
Like always fantastic driving and commentary. You know you want one... so badly.
Long live the manual gear box! I'd never trade for an auto or a dual clutch for anything. Living in NYC with a manual is not as bad as people make it seem.
F430 manual=perfection, is this the last manual ferrari?
I think the 599 is technically the last manual Ferrari, the only made a handful but they're out there.
The last official Ferrari was the California. Only six were built
+Antonio Melagari Car Reviews I thought the last official Ferrari was the F12 TDF?
+gmansplit the last official Ferrari with a manual gearbox
Antonio Melegari Car Reviews I was making a joke at your expense. ;)
Oh man. Between this one and the 355 that you drove. Beautiful!
That click of the shifter...brings me back to the 90s Need for Speed game
My uncle payed 170k for his 05 430 spider with a 6 speed heard that only 500 430 manuals exist
Such a disappointment that manual transmissions are fading away. You looked like you had such a good time in that car!
Looks like an awesome drive Matt! The hills north of LA seem like amazing roads to drive on. I wish we had more hills around Toronto.
I didn't know you drove one of these, I just saw the vid. It is truly one of the cars to invest in right now, it is such a beautiful piece of design and engineering and I think is the perfect combination between analog and digital, after this point they just went crazy with computer tech stuff. If you want a proper Ferrari (or a proper sports car)and you don't like all the new-age bullshit but don't mind the electronic goodies such as ABS and electric windows, this is the car to go for. No drive-by-wire, no software braking LSD, proper gearbox but you get a radio and aircon and assisted steering and stuff. I love this car. It's just perfect.
Hey Matt, thanks for another great video. Just wondering, how does this compare to an LP550-2 or R8 V10 as a daily?
tedj9 The R8 V10 is the only one I'd actually want to DD.
0:09 I hope thats an R32, I hope its turboed, and I hope Matt drives it.
SPOT ON review! The gated 430 is such a joy to drive. Reading posts about getting a C7 ... Yadda yadda yadda... I use to think the same. "These Ferrari's are overpriced"... drive one, you'll see what all the excitement is all about. I've driven the best Corvettes or similar out there and none of them stir the senses like a proper Ferrari. And by proper, I mean gated manual with either a bypassed exhaust valve or better yet race headers, deleted precats and full race Capristo exhaust. The cackle from a perfectly executed downshift is to die for.
Matt you were also spot on regarding the stigma that comes along with owning/driving one... everyone presumes you're a dick, show off or don't know how to spend your money on cars.
My only gripe on your review is the price tag on a used one. I challenger you to find a gated 430 for any less than $135k even with mileage. Anything low $100's is a mileage F1 car...
10:50 That house on Schueren is the ultimate car person house imo. You have a view of the overlook and the best view of the ocean. Nice spot to bring the fellas after a drive too.
Gated manual is the only knob man should ever touch besides his own
yeah dog leg is straight piss and it is only gearbox one should ever use.
The stigma with Ferraris is a weird thing. I trust guys like Matt when they say how good some of them are; but we still pass judgement on Ferrari owners when we see them. I think it's because of how they're marketed. This whole "Formula 1 inspired" thing is just silly. I imagine buyers just ramble on about how the gearbox, the steering wheel, etc. are all based on an F1 car. I speculate that's why so few buyers opted for manual gearboxes. I think it's so they can brag that, as Clarkson said, "my car's got one of them gearboxes like Michael Schumacher". We tend to think, rightly or wrongly, that they're in it for the brand and the marketing, not the car.
Alec D. I agree that it is mostly jealousy and a level of disgust (especially among the 'what about the poor types') that someone can drive something so obviously expensive. I mean the average person has lots of financial woes. This week 20 000 Malaysia Airlines workers were effectively fired. Many of those will, on this weekend, see a guy cruising about in his Ferrari. These types of things do not inspire admiration in many. Personally I would love to have one of these cars. But somehow I would struggle to drive one in public. For some reason I have found the R35 easier to live with. If they were not available, I would have gone Porsche and this is despite the fact that Ferrari is my favourite brand ...
***** Exactly right.
Johny Piston .. "This week 40 000 Malaysia Airlines workers were effectively fired." ... Where did you see that figure? I can only find articles that say 6,000 jobs being cut, out of a total 20,000 workforce. (Which is nothing like 40,000.) ... time.com/3903066/malaysia-airlines-layoffs/ .. www.relocatemagazine.com/news/david-sapsted-06-d1-2015-bankrupt-malaysia-airlines-unveils-recovery-strategy .. *etc. (via Google News search). ... It wouldn't be a good idea to spread rumors with incorrect figures.
Peter: AV.Rescue Apologies ...you are right. 20 000 of which 6 000 will not get their jobs back. I hope my posts are not enough to start any rumors :-(. If they are then I take it back unequivocally and apologies for the typo.
Johny Piston Most peoples' financial woes, in the 1st world mind you, have nothing to do with their income though. When they hate on Ferrari owners for owning Ferraris, what they're really saying is that they lack the willingness to adjust their own poor habits, and want to make some sort of connection between what they see as excess and their own personal stupidity.
Fantastic review and I completely and totally agree as I've driven most of em as well. Gated Shifter is only true way to go for a purest.
This is the "fastest" looking video yet! I'm not saying you are going "slow" in the other videos or commenting on your skill... I can just tell that you are really moving out in this car when you compare it to the other videos.
Fantastic review as always!
Robert Young It's a Ferrari it *sounds* fast IMO
Automatics (F1, PDK whatever you call them) are faster now than manuals but like the past, in the 70s, 80s, 90s and 2000s the cars equipped with them will depreciate faster and always be LESS fun than the manual version. Looking back at NSXs, Supras, 300ZX, Mustangs, Corvettes, Porsches of the past, nobody wants the auto versions but the manuals are always coveted indefinitely.
I don't understand why so many sports cars are Automatic only now. Sure it's faster and gets better mileage but if you think driving this 430 isn't as fun as an Automatic 991 Carrera S that's faster (for example) you're mistaken. It's not even in the same ballpark. Really sad the Alfa 4C was automatic too :( What the hell, it's basically a super Elise and it's auto :(
People that buy exotics are old. They just don't want a stick shift. And traffic is always a bitch
The F1 has a manual option which most owners use when not in traffic. Less fun? Um no. Notice how this guy couldn't shift in a corner? Not a problem with the F1. I do agree with you on the depreciation part, but that's because of the misinformation about the F1. With a stick, either in say a Porsche Turbo or a Ferrari, you'll never be able to take full advantage of the engine because you can't shift fast enough because they rev to the max so quickly due to their power. If you want to be a slow driver, get the stick. If you want to drive fast, get the F1 for Ferrari or the PDK for Porsche.
@@christschool Fun > Fast.
@@danmobile Fast is more fun than slow.
@@christschool Sure, all things equal. But a stick shift car that does 0-60 in 4 seconds vs an automatic that car that does 0-60 in 3.8 seconds, NO WAY is the automatic car more fun to drive. Only a newbie to cars would say that. You might have the opinion, but poll the world and you'll find most people disagree with you. I've worked with and tuned Porsches every day for the past 15 years. Everyone I know agrees on this. For lap times, if you think that matters, sure buy the PDK. If you want to have fun, stick wins every time. This is why Porsche brought back the manual GT3, why the GT4 and Spyder were stick only etc. You'll never change my mind or most stick shift drivers on this - sorry. An automatic is super boring and nowhere near the same engagement and interaction of a stick.
Matt. Could you do a tutorial on how to heel-toe? Please? (:
asquared2 I keep trying to remember to do that, and then I keep forgetting. One day I'll remember and actually film it.
I bought an 08 Rosso Corsa F430 Spider. Ya, it’s an F1, but as I’ve gotten used to it I actually really enjoy it a lot. I didn’t even check it out much before I bought it. I drove it , tried everything and bought it. It’s in literally perfect condition and after a couple years NOTHING has gone wrong with it. I absolutely LOVE this car !
Gotta say I just watched your video again but this time on play back speed X2 and oh man that was even cooler.
You've got a lot of automotive swears to put money in the money jar for, mister.
Lol "magnificent!"
God bless a stick shift Ferrari!
Matt quote of the day:
“heel toeing a f****ng gated shifted Ferrari is magic”
This is why I love your channel Matt...
Great review! This car is a real gem and a bargain these days. Im pretty sure this will be my next pleasure ride! With a STICK!! :D
So, would you take the F430 with the manual over a 458? And I am talking right now, so a used F430 or a new 458? And lets say you can't take the 458 and sell it for a F430 and pocket the rest, let just say for some reason your 458 is only worth what a 430 is worth.
I will say the 430 sings to me though.
MrGovenator1 I would go 430 too. Something about it that I love, the 458 is the latest and greatest but the 430 already feels like a future classic to me. I've been fortunate to drive the 430, it's just beautiful to drive around
Only a dumbass would take the 430. Half the car.
***** The 458 is semi auto
thomascampr Performance isn't the only thing measuring how great a car is. No shit the 458 is much faster but for example I would kill for an older GT40 over the new Ford Gt lol
***** Most 430's do not have a gear stick either, they are extremely rare.
7:24 Close your eyes and try tell me that doesnt sound like a honda. Everyone thinks ferrari V8s sound exotic but because of the design (flatplane) they literally sound like agro 4 cylinders. Not a fan
I agree. I've heard a few buzzing past me, some of which with aftermarket exhaust. I don't think they sound bad but it sounds like a Honda to me too.

I have an '08 Civic Si sedan and I thought the same thing. It's not that crazy of a thought, IMO. Basically the Ferrari is twice a K20 in terms of displacement. The Honda revs to 8k (while the Ferrari is 8500). I think that's where the sound similarities are coming from.
Sounds like a Honda. Thought was just me found so. Sounds great to me
F430 Scuderia is one of my favorite Ferraris ever, just magnificent. Now, a manual 612? I would buy one tomorrow.

The cyclist is sitting in the middle of the "intersection" because he is coming to terms with nearly being run over !
Yeah probably.
No, he was coming in to terms with the fact he's a cyclist now fuck off
Jacque Noir lol nice try, but anyhow can't take you serious with your 'huh' profile pic
Mark Rampersad
Nice correction Fucktard!
well he's an idiot
Great video - My "bedroom wall" car was a '91 512TR, I've always wanted to row through the gates in that. Keep up the great videos! I'll just sit here in Cleveland, OH wishing you could take my tuned '13 SHO for a blast, you'd love it. If you can find someone out west with the Livernois tune, it's totally worth it.
Everyone says that the F430 and the F50 are not pretty but those are by far my two favorite looking Ferraris! So curvy and beautiful! The other ones are too edgy looking for me.
I like the F430 so not everyone.
