We drove a tuned 746 BHP Novitec Ferrari 430 Scuderia on the STREET!

- Of all the lightweight V8 Ferraris, picking a favourite is easy for me - the 430 Scuderia. It keeps most of the rawness of the 360 Challenge Stradale while implementing some of the chassis tech that wound up in the 458 Speciale like adaptive suspension and an E-diff. It’s noisy, involving, has the most snappy and visceral single-clutch paddleshift gearbox, and I’d say 503bhp is the perfect amount of power.
But this is 2024, and you can now buy a Mercedes C Class with 670bhp, so in outright numbers, the Scud has been long since left in the dust of the power race. Not this one though, because some crazy person had €60,000 of supercharger fitted, and all of a sudden, we have a Scud with more power than a 488 Pista (746bhp to be exact). But does all that power ruin what makes the Scud so great? I didn’t have to be asked twice to have a go and find out!

Totally agree, I have been a car enthusiast for over 40 years and just about watched anything worth watching on UA-cam, and once I discovered this channel have been binge watching it ever since. They do a great job of putting you in the drivers seat, and the overall quality is at least 10/10!

Fantastic! I didn't know Novitec had the supercharger kit for the F430 range too. I remember seeing a 360M with the Novitec supercharger n addons over a decade ago. The thing was an absolute monster! It made around 565hp or so at the wheels n was finding it difficult to gain traction with the Pirellis of the time. The owner chose not to have any Novitec badges on it apart from what you'd see on the supercharger. He used to regularly outrun 996 Turbos S Porsches with ease n most people had no idea that the car was modded. This was at a time when there were barely 2-3 dozen supercars in the entire country (India) n nobody really modified those cars.
If you're a fan of racing you probably would've come across an infamous rally video from India where the navigator screams "Sammy, no Sammy no. You'll break the bloody car". Well, the Sammy in question is the one who had/has that Novitec 360M.
Even though this car has had massive upgrades, it’s presents and design still looks modern to me, i presume that down to timeless design …. Beautiful car !

do you know this is the only video where a twin supercharged novitec car has been really reviewed, a couple talked about them but nobody ever whipped on it like a dominatrix as intended. so I personally thank you so much. I've been a fan since the Ruf you did. these novitec twin blown cars are so cool and different. I think novitec should still be focused on the performance and doing things nobody else does. wicked car!!! cheers

Every turbo ferrari should have a supercharger instead. In fact every turbo should be replaced with a supercharger
In some cars like an Impreza or and Evo the turbo lag ads to the character, but I agree in most sports cars the supercharger is more fitting.

As a scud owner,I would be concerned with the gearbox…even on the stock car it’s not uncommon to see the gearbox explode once it hit higher miles. The scud wants to kill me and this extra power just accentuates that personality so kudos to a death wish lol
It’s an occasional use car, roll it out, cling on, put it away and sit in a dark room for a bit 😂

Any stats on how big the supercharger is or how much boost it provides?
I have a scud . Amazing car . I can’t imagine adding another 200hp. I don’t think the brakes can handle the extra power . Great video and keep them coming ……..

Yeah they are very well hidden (I say they because I had to look it up and this kit appears to include twin centrifugal superchargers).
We REALLY tried to find it in the engine bay, but it's buried really deeply underneath all of the new pipework. We tried!

Not entirely true about the Veyron being the only production car available in 2009 with more than 746 hp, Koenigsegg had both the CCX 806 hp and the CCXR 1016 hp for sale in 2009.
What a car this must be. The Scud is one of my favourites and a manual just wouldn't be the same as the gearbox is just simply awesome. Wouldn't have it any other way.

Yeah I think there’s actually two centrifugal units tucked under each bank somewhere. Super well integrated to look as OEM as possible or just was the best place to package them.
