In conclusion, the oxide has a dustier/chalkier effect when applied. Thanxxxx. This answered my biggest Q.

I started card making 20 yrs ago, then got away from it now I am getting back into it. There's so much more now to work with. I'd like to do this along with other types of things like embellishments. I enjoy sending cards to people I know in my community. Gives me a lot of joy to do that to help others feel better.

Thanks Tim! Like many others, I also had the same question. I now also understand the blending technique and why it makes sense by not starting directly on the project surface. 👍

I love the Distress Inks and Oxides although I don't own any of them because I can't afford them. But I'll keep watching and learning until I can afford them. I'm not discouraged just waiting for my time to come. by the way, this Christmas my children gifted me a Sizzix big shot and i love it so much! Thank you!

Mary, Amazon now has a whole bunch of Tim Holtz’ stuff for $5-$10 so you might want to look there if you can’t spend too much money. All these inks are there and some are under $6 just in case you want to look!

I was so excited to watch this tutorial! I didn’t even realize that their is Oxide & Ink when it comes to the Distressed pads. I have a couple of your Distressed oxides that I use on my papercraft decor and I especially use them when making paper flowers. I love the coloring that it brings!! Some things I learned today just made my jaw drop, because I did not know that the blending pads were washable?! 😱 I’ve been throwing mine away after many uses. 🙈 The water coloring with the pens was extremely cool and now I want to give it a try too! I use 65lb cardstock with my paper crafting & wondering if it will work on it? Lastly, I use to use embossing powders in my scrapbooking days, but I think I need to pull it out again as it’s such a gorgeous look to add to any kind of decoration. Thanks Tim for sharing, I really enjoyed this video! 💗
