Hey there, Tim. I’m sure Simon Hurley has told you about my little business. My husband is the developer of our Debby Tool. I’ve been a big fan of yours for many years. I found your products, way back in my scrapbook days. I fell in love with the metal embellishments. Thank you for all your wonderful contributions to the industry. You’re a legend!
Oh my goodness, I just realized this was right before everything shut down last year due to this crazy pandemic! Hopefully, all the world’s wonderful crafting folks will be able to gather again soon!
and now I know how he picks the colors for each new line . . I've always wondered "why this and not that one" Tim Holtz is da'boss aka a crafting genius - I absolutely LOVE his products and appreciate how he demos how to use them
Thanks so much- your videos are always worth watching. Appreciate the effort. Sound and picture quality is great unlike some others filming the same presentations and you can learn so much!
I was holding my breath when the stamp didn't completely ink the tag, and then you went with it...😁! Soooooo looking forward to Creativation 2021 (meanwhile, enjoying this year's goodies) and the culmination of your epiphany. Tim Holtz, you are amazing!
Tim is not scrapbook so much as mixed media which includes cardmaking, assemblage etc. Most scrappers use his inks, but his appeal is far beyond scrapping.
I love your presentation of your color creations! Beautiful colors! I just received your vintage photo distressing glaze and I I'm going to try it out now!
Thanks so much for the video, I first thought "meh, more embossing powders?" but when he explains it and shows you examples ideas, wow the mind just begins working and all kinds of ideas start popping into your head. I do wish however he had included at least one purple in the first launch, its my favorite colour, and I see a lot of brownish colours in that first batch. But as he said, its probable that they will end up doing them all, you just have to wait.
I had the same first reaction. I rarely use my colored embossing powders, but these are very cool. I also agree that there are too many browns, but I'm sure that all colors will be available at some point. He really is entertaining. Liked his confession to using his phone as an stamp block.
But if you know Tim, and his history, its always been about the browns and grunge. It will appeal to his core art fans as well as crafters. He's also one of the few crafter product developers who really appeals to guys, so his colors and aesthetic match.
Other brands have had translucent embossing powders for years. I'm only weary because the distress powders never caught on, same with the glitter. They launched then fizzled out. Stampendous and Fran, she's the embossing queen. Frantage is a whole line. Wow brand as well. The only advantage I see here is the matching colors. Tonic has some as well. Ranger seems to have a lot of copied not new products lately...selling Tims name rather than his original innovation. I need a brand new product, not just 60 more colors of something I already have if ya follow me here.
@@moemanley2579 Oh I follow exactly what you're saying! I have quite a few Wow Embossing Powders from a few years back and they're translucent, as well. Just b/c a product is re-branded with the T.H. name printed on it doesn't make it a brand new, magical invention to hit the market.
thanks so much for this video. Ditto honig2sassi 's comments. I didn't have to strain to hear Tim. Also--altho I watched Tim's release videos last week, the idea of using this on the metal just made me add a couple glazes to my order.--I have so many applications in mind now. Thanks again.
The best thing is to Google the product. If you want it shipped from the US - I think Simon Says Stamp and Scrapbook.com ship internationally. Otherwise, Google to see who is closer to you.

Muy buen vídeo y excelente material muy novedoso. Saludos desde Chile
Mr. Holtz, I just received my Vagabond 2 machine. I love it. I especially like the vintage suitcase style. One one of your videos, you said you were revamping the Vagabond. If you have any of the vintage suitcases left (without the inners), I would like to purchase some for my craft room r for storage.
Love these glazes & pre-ordered the “new color” coming out in a wk or 2... but wanted to ask, TIM, if that spring loaded top on the case as a stamp platform is still on the table? 😋
Absolutely LOVE this product but was wondering if there will be more colored glazes coming soon? Could def use a purple, orange & hot pink in the mix, thx! 😊
My guess is if these sell well, then they will produce more colours! I put together a video that will come out April 1st featuring the Embossing Glazes!
Creativation 2021 There will be new Distress "Distresser Block" made like embossing diffuser. Different shapes with positive and negative. Maybe using stencils and masks over the stamp is not enough to have a smooth finish all around ... we will see what will come in 2021.
I have a question about the embossing pens. Would I be able to use them as a type of glue pen, to sprinkle regular glitter onto, and have the glitter stick onto paper? Or, would the glitter fall off my paper as soon as the ink from the pen dried?
Embossing pens just have a wet ink for the powder to stick to before you emboss. They are not a glue pen. Once the ink dried your glitter would fall off.
What is that material around the 4 minute mark, does anyone know? Is it paper or fabric or leather? I love the crinkled look the embossing glaze gives there!
This motto just came to mind: “Demo it and they will buy”. So true, I need all those colours of distress embossing powders now!!

Tim, you think SO FAR OUTSIDE THE BOX. Thank you. You are so into details of understanding the properties of medium.

Bet your parents are very proud of your contribution to the art world! I have a lot of your products. I’m happy. ❤
Appreciate all the effort you put in to create a quality video - good close ups but most off, you can hear everything Tim says.

Good video. I love watching Tims demos.
You laugh because you've done it! New tiny word sticker/stamp... I would buy that!

I love these embossing glazes
I must have been under a rock. I gotta have these!
Damn Tim, I love your jewelry ! Especially the bracelets
I LOVE the steampunk vibe with his creations. Might I add, he reminds me of Ryan Reynolds, Just a tad.
Excited to find and try a couple of these powders.
The mind of Tim in all its glory

Hi - Tim doesn't read the comments on my Videos. I would email him directly. There should be contact information on his site: TimHoltz.com
The tags are on my list too.
Such a great treat - thank you! Your coverage of Creativation is fab-u-lous!
Just watched the video and it was great thank you for sharing
What storage container did he have the glazes in?
great possibilities~ background chatter got in the way at times.

Oh Wowie, there is where I go broke again😂
I am about to fall into the internet hole to find where the best prices are on these products. LOL I may need a 12 Step program...
Me too. I’m like, crafting is dangerous to the wallet. Lol

Can I buy from where. ,to send to S,Africa ?

It is just a Distress Tag - paper.
So, can you use rubber stamps with the embossing ink, like on sentiments?
yes. Just like ink.
Thank you! I just got the glazes for my birthday, and was wondering how in the world to use them. Thanks Tim! Thanks Scraptimevideos!!
I like this. Seems it’s not available yet. How do I make sure I get notification of when I can order it?
it releases in February.
There are links in the description to pre-order from Simon Says Stamp and Scrapbook.com
I have used that box!
Cool as heck..
Awesome
wooooow the real Tim Holtz come and donate all the art supplies i need to my place please LooL
Where or where is my Worn Lipstick!? Other than that these look terrific.
Who makes the embossing heat tool that Tim is using in the video?
I don't know. I didn't notice.
When I embossed power it don’t me for me .can you help
Melt? What heat tool/embossing gun are you using. Just keep applying heat until it is melted. If your heat is hot enough, it will melt.
Can you clean the dabber, mine dirty alreafy
I would just rub the dabber on paper towel to clean it off. It may be stained - but as long as colour isn't coming off it , it should be fine.
What is the name of the pen
It’s the Ranger Embossing pen.
Very cool💗💗💗💗💗
please take the paper dolls and place the emboss colors next to them so we can which colors we really can't live without
Yummy!
will there be all distress colors?
possibly if they are successful.
