Manco Dingo Transformation & Rip! Reviving our Favorite Cheap Go Kart!
Вставка
- Опубліковано 17 чер 2024
- The Manco Dingo is our favorite beginner/simple go kart. It's small, lightweight, and has decent factory-equipped tires, which makes it extremely nimble, very capable off road (for it's size), and it doesn't take much horsepower to make it fast! The Dingo doesn't have suspension, so it's a rough riding go kart, but it puts a smile on your face every time! In today's episode, we restore the Manco Dingo by giving it a deep clean, replacing the worn out Tecumseh 6 horsepower engine (that has a ton of blow by and covers the rider in oil) with a fresh one, we install gorgeous aluminum wheels, and more aggressive off road tires more better off road capability!
Thanks for Watching!

The look on Ike's face when he won rock, paper, scissors was priceless. 😃
Love the show fun to whatch
Buy
It finally feels like you two are 'home'! It hit me finally at 02:10 when you two on each side of the Dingo, Ike looking so proud, John so happy.. sitting in front of the green cabinets.. you guys are home. Congratulations! Take care :)
Every karting enthusiast needs a Dingo at some point, they're so much FUN!!
Do you think someone who is 6’5” 280 could drive this? I am looking at getting one with a 9hp engine (John Deere model) for my wife to truck my 2 year old around the yard. But I might want to drive it a little too of course.
@THISMAYBEOFFENSIVE You should be able to fit 😃 I have one and it's very roomy I'm 5,11 and I've got like a foot between me and the roll bar
It's the Circle of Offroading: get everything clean so you can get everything dirty.
We cleaned it after!
Me and my brother had dingo karts in the 80s over the pond here in UK... they had briggs n stratton engines on :D
Mine was 1989 with briggs 8hp & 40 series torque converter.
Mine is as well
still got mine! had it for 25yrs!
I just bought this exact same model Manco Dingo for $100 the other day! I’m still excited about it! I’m 43 and this is my first go kart! Love it!
Dingos are awesome!
I had one when I was a kid. It came with a 8hp briggs (flat head) and was later upgraded to a 10hp tecumseh. I rode the literal wheels off that rig for ten years of my young life. This video makes me remember smelling like gas and mud😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁Awesome memories. Thanks for posting.
Are 212cc pull engines better than the start keys? Im having shit load of problems with the TREX 125cc go cart from china. I dont know what to do.
Finally some dingo content.
I should really fix mine up
Lol
Just did a series on my channel of fixing up my Dingo IX! It was the very first motorized buggy I got when I was 12!
Anyone else like these videos before they even watch them? 😂 I check UA-cam everyday for new vids by you guys. Great work
Bro I literally thought that John was timing John on that first lap lol
When I was a kid in the 80’s there was a neighborhood kid that had one of these awesome little machines. His was black with gold wheels but it didn’t have the full roll cage. The kid would never let anyone ride it but seeing him ride it up and down the road made me always want one.
"It even smells neglected"
"Oh sorry, I couldn't help myself...oh...ohh"
john lookin like he got that million dollar mullet when those glasses were on his head. I dig it, I vote he gets a mullet.
Hell yeah, brother!
Hes got a fro. Jerry curls would be funny
I can’t lie I’ve been thinking about it
@@CarsandCameras lol u should do it. I think they look cooler when u have curly hair too.
Add a pressure washer to your shopping list.. you’ll thank me later 👍🏻
Thank] you and proper air compressor, welding table and some wireless mics so the audio does suck on the videos.
@@ActivityPhoto you should buy all these things and make a better video then them then you can talk sheeeet
I have the same exact kart with a power wheels body on it. 25yrs with no governor in it and it just won’t die!! Love the dingo
Had a dingo just like this about 20 years ago. Those are surprisingly capable. Looks great with those rims and tires!!
I have a Dingo myself, and I can vouch for it! Lots of fun but very rough. I want to see that 23HP 228cc on this Dingo. That would be crazy.
the dingo is one of my favorite karts. ive wanted one ever since i was a kid in the early 90s getting those newspaper style gokart magazines.
Dingo is the most relatable build to what you're viewers can do. Bring it back again.
Darn cool, how your channel is more like a tv show, I really like how Ike is being the fellow commentator, with expression.
Had a dingo years ago. It was great. But very rough ride. Good times good times. Keep up these videos!
I love how like was so kind to that little guy in the end ,great video it made me want to fix my manco
Just picked up a two seater dingo with the 13 horse Honda GX390, got it running but just waiting on a few parts to arrive to ride it. Can’t wait after watching these dingo videos. 👍
Hey guys, I love your videos. I’ve been watching for a real long time: I’m looking forward to future projects🙂
Those jumps and bouncing along every other turn reminds me of myself when I built go carts back in the day! Makin ruts and jumps where the best!
That is definitely be a fun cart.
Good one guys thanks for sharing.
Central California watching
create a grand prix alt track with smooth dirt for karts not meant for extreme offroad
Would be cool if they could eventually make a paved track, maybe even a 1/8 drag strip.
I love the chemistry between you two. This Chanel is AWESOME and I’ve been watching for a long time. You guys deserve your own tv show. Keep up the excellent content!
This takes me back. The Dingo was my very first Gocart as a kid.
That Manco looks like a ton of fun!
This is what were talking about boys. Great video!!!! Literally the reason me and my friend's watch. Keep up the awesome work.
As always great video and nice upgrades. Now I have to rethink my Dingo
I love watching these guys they got me into fixing my coleman ct200u mini up.
Came back to this channel after a couple years, I forgot how great it is!
This was a excellent old school cars and cameras episode. keep it up
You guys make it look so easy, love the videos. I'm currently converting a old 13hp harbor freight motor to electric start and its giving me fits. I'm building it for my daughter, I want her to be able to start and kill the motor from the driver's seat, hopefully we'll get her done soon 👍🇺🇸
Love those Manco go-carts...Sturdy and good, straight from the factory
I always get excited when you guys are working on the manco dingo because it is the only go-kart I have and it needs a lot of work keep it up
Really great vid! My Murray has a 6.5 Tecumseh and I put a 22mm mikuni carburetor on it like you guys! Thanks for the idea!!
Well thank you I did not know that about the belt learn something every day great videos.
Finally! Someone doing a Manco Dingo build!
Brody Crabtree sorry I reelly reelly sorry
Lol "your gonna love it here" always a good time with you guys
Love it when Ike goes into BEAST MODE!
Wow all the memories i have on one of these. And the lump on the inside of my leg to this day from the steering loop.
Great video! Love it..
Find the electric eyes from a overhead garage door. Make an electronic Start/Finish line. Run the wire over a big overhead drivethrough sign. I have lots of plans for your personal money! HAHA
I have the exact same cart with the stock 5 hp engine and I love it
Now that looks fun!
I’m glad you got that Tecumseh on there. 👍
I got to say all your builds are awesome but I like these videos the best 👌 back to the basics
Those jumps were epic
been watching you guys since i was 10 before you guys got kicked out the headquarters and proud to say that last week i ordered a ct100x with plans to 212cc swap it but woke up a few days ago and found a frame with wheels for $65 and now it’s my project!!!
That's a nice go cart great video
Love them Tecumseh engines! ❤️
Gotta love restoring a classic.
A day at yalls workshop would be like goin to damn disneyland!!! Old school bowties for days....gokarts...FOR DAYS... Just pure fun to get into!!!
This is cool, I had one of these when I was a kid and it also had a stupid amount of blow by lol
Loved it! A wee bit damp, but it looked like fun.
Solid! It makes me want to get a cheap cart, but California won't allow that. Just glad i get away with a motorized ratcycle and my electric moped. I get away with a lot just by them being cool.
Idea: Keep a running list (at time of air/post) in the descriptions below with links to vehicles. Good for new viewers and viewings of older vehicles. Keep em coming fellas!
Thanks, guys nice kart.
Awesome 👍 guys
Cute Lil rig .don't seem to go to bad so ya good vid and godbless .
So very stoked, I fixed and sold my manko dominator and ordered a coleman 196 adding a stage 1 perf. kit for my 12 yo and 2 younger boys to play with. Comes in todayyyyyy.
I loved my dingo. Bought brandnew 1989. Had an 8hp briggs on it with 40 series torque converter. Mine only had cage over motor as u see in my pic
Nice job on the Manco guys! I would definitely swap rear axles and eventually the motor for a predator.
Thanks for the video
HAAAAAAAHAHAAAA That Looked SO FUN! Great Episode fellas! You guys are having So Much Fun!
I have 2 of these same GoKarts. We did a full Suspension upgrade and made it a single seat sand rail.
Awesom cart!
Another great video.
Always Great!
Holy smokes! Freeze-frame at 11:17, Ike you look like you just got your first big-wheel on Christmas morning!!!!
I just went and swapped to a 212 and did a stage 1 upgrade and the thing is such a great little kart it's a nice hill climber!
Lol I was just looking at the channel and wondering if y'all were gonna post
I havent touched my dingo since I got a fl350 odyssey😁 Night & day! doesnt beat up your body like a dingo does!! Way fster and pure joy!!!
Thanks Gopowersports. Com for giving these brothers something to work with.
Thank you for not sticking a predator on it. Always cool to see something different
The dingo looks awesome. I wish i could run across one to build
Love the little "stories from Isaac" segments
Man this video was fun to watch
Love you guys man!!!
Yes! Love the manco!
:O ISAAC'S GOT IT, happy for you my man :D
when I was a kid I had a mini bike with a McCullough shoe box kart engine and when you punched it it would put you on your back but we clocked it at 70 mph, one bad dude.
Awesome vid
Id get one of these solely because its made by Manco. Decal the hell out of it with the Manco logo from Team Fortress 2. Great video, thanks for sharing.
Holy shit i had this exact one when i was a kid. This made my day!
This is first time i remember John showing a little of the house and the street out front....very interesring! Looks like a neat ranch house kinda in suburbia/country but with a HUGE BY LARGE Back yard!
Great choice. So much potential in that there yard. I see a 60×40 steel truss building in the near future. Maybe then you boys can add some automotive to the channel name! Keep up the good work
That rock paper scissors scene made my day
That last run was awesome. Ike got some air.
Ike's face was priceless when he won paper rock scissors! 😂 Awesome video 👍
This vid got that good ol CarsandCameras feel to it
Love the vids ‼️
Ike getting into the video😂 good to see
Great work Sir yy
Man those tires fit right with that kind kart.
19:49 talladega nights when Ricky bobby goes on live TV and put his hands up lol Isaac you shoulda held your hands up
Good job buddy👍
Cant wait to see what you guys do with the tractor at that place. maybe put a culvert in at the crossing?
FUN VID! You guys need earpices. Com system or phone for live callin' hot laps! Maybe even a monitored GoPro at base for live viewin' hot lap action.
