You can find the time.), 6 Breakfast biggest meal (king), lunch queen, dinner pauper. After becoming homeless which lasted 7 years, I stopped carbs ( sweets, most fruits, pastas, rices, potatoes except sweet potatoes, etc ). I lost 40 lbs., bloating gone, more energy, less stiff, etc. I watch and learn from Dr. Eric Berg on UA-cam.
cut out most carbs 7-8 weeks ago. glucose is down, body fat is down, and blood pressure is down. More organic animal fat and protein. More water, losing inches, losing weight, and gaining energy.

It's a good idea to stay away from processed food, but there was a study done of people who were presumably eating a healthy diet of normal carbohydrates, fruits, vegetables, and some meats and they were also physically active, and they noticed they weighed five to ten pounds more than people who ate the same diet and had the same physical activity back in the 1970's and 1980's. So these researchers said the people today had to restrict their calorie intake even further and exercise more just to match the same weight of their 70's and 80's counterparts. So is the problem really because people have no willpower or is it because our food production been compromised over that time due to factory farming using excessive chemicals and feeding livestock foid they do not naturally eat?
I have been doing a lot of Fastin. now I only eat 1 time a day and fast for the rest of the day and night. I eat my meal by 5 pm everyday and nothing else but water. My meal is mostly Protein eggs and Chicken Steak fish and lots of vegetables and fruits it is working well for me...
We also has roast beef dinner with all the trimings every Sunday at my maternal grandmothers. Their last was also O'Neill. She was a wonderful cook. I am a RN, partly retired, and am enjoying your videos. Thank you, Mary.
I’ve lost 3 stones by intermittent fasting having more protein salads and total grams of carbohydrates 60 to 80g a day and reversed my diabetes from 15.5alc to 6.0alc in 3 months and that reversed my fatty liver completely and on empty stomach few times a week swimming aswell as weight trading through other days my diabetic nurses were absolutely shocked 😳 and eager to know all info my plan.
The USA has a MUCH higher rate of obesity and diabetes than Australia. The US also has much higher ultraprocessed foods as well. Didn’t want the land of Aus to think they were #1 in this area! We love our Aussie friends!

Riding a bicycle is a great way to exercise. Ebikes are bringing many older adults back to cycling. Cities need to do more to encourage people to ride bicycles. Safe protected bike lanes and trails are needed so adults and children can ride safely. Speak up for bicycles in your community. Bicycles make life and cities better. Ask your local transportation planner and elected officials to support more protected bike lanes and trails. Children should be riding a bicycle to school and not be driven in a minivan. Be healthier and happier. Ride a bicycle regularly.

E-bikes have pedal assist feature that you can adjust to your personal need. If you need the assist for hills you can use it. If you don't need the assist don't use it. Your choice. Heart disease is the number one killer of people today and cancer is number two. Being over weight is the number one factor leading to an early death. People who are over weight have higher risks for high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes and cancer. Even children today have signs of artery disease. Fast foods and sugary drinks have long term consequences. There is an obesity epidemic today where over 60% of the population is overweight or obese. What is common today and "NORMAL" is not healthy. The average person today is not healthy and is taking medications. Heart attacks were once only common in people over 65. Today people in their 40 are having heart attacks. Add more plants and vegetables to your diet and less junk and overly processed foods
If peanut oil is extracted through simply crushing the nuts, is there a concern about it being over processed? or is it because the nuts are often roasted before the crushing?
You always have some loss of its nutrients after being processed. But the ones that are not pampered with, are the best. So the ones that are not roasted.

When you eat meats & fats your body converts it to to the perfect balance of nutrients INCLUDING carbohydrates. A few carbs on occasion are okay, but ANIMAL FAT is NECESSARY!
She lost me at plant protein and fiber I've been on a carnivore diet for over a year now I've never felt better I have re-introduced some vegetables my body does not like them so I don't eat them anymore I have more energy I feel better......
The only problem with Barbara's diet is that even good carbs from lentils and vegetables don't keep you full for very long. It's meat and the fat in the meat that helps keep you full

I totally agree with you! My landlord does too! I was consuming lots of carbs and the toilet would clog, so I called the landlord. When I went to very low carb, very small turds and haven’t called the landlord in over a year about the toilet clogging…
People are also choosing whole grains over white bread which is wrong. White bread is actually easier to digest than whole grains. How I know this is I have Crohns. But fiber is not so good for me. That is why I stick to white
A book by Hilton Hotema says that exercise in the morning is not good as well as in the evening due to high carbon dixode in the air. He says that it's best at midday. He also talks about a lot of things. Very interesting. He says the foods we eat are not good it's toxic. Very confusing information. I will keep reading his books to find the truth about food. He says it's clean air not food or drink that sustains the body.
I avoid most carbs and still look 7 months pregnant. I'm thinking it endocrine disruptors due to high cortisone (stress), endocrine disruptors everywhere via plastic, laundry detergents, wearing none cotton clothing.....
I found that I couldn't tolerate not having carbs and just having protein-meat, eggs, etc at every meal. What's worked for me is to eat whatever but only in 2 meals a day-first one at about noon, and second one about 6-7 pm, with absolutely no food inbetween. So far I've lost 9 pounds and it's staying off. I think it's cuz I'm giving my body enough time between meals to digest completely and to do 'autophagy"-that important cleansing process, which doesn't start until you've been fasting about 6 -8 hrs. So I get the best autophagy between 8 pm and noon the next day. If you are helping your body to properly process food, you should be able to eat most regular, God-given foods, including bread, potatoes, rice, etc. although I admit I do take hydrochloric acid too, since I'm 71, to help digest
Nothing wrong with carbs if you choose the unprocessed basic foods like potatoes and greens. The problem is the processed foods and super processed foods and the large amounts. Our bodies only need 1 gram fat per kilo body weight, for a grownup that is 50 to 70 grams of fat per day and people eat three of four times that every day. Barbara’s has got most things right but still something’s wrong. Better to watch Dr Greger Nutrionfacts. None profit organization.
She is biased towards a plant-based diet. That's a shame. Animal protein is the most bioavailable form of protein. Plant protein can cause various digestive and gastric issues. I often get migraines from most legumes. Many people suffer from gastric issues when consuming plant protein. There is substantial clinical evidence (not just testimonials) to prove that animal protein is the best form of protein.
@@Marina-yb3nh my intestines are fine and work as required. Tests confirm this. Fiber is why so many people carry a stone or two of crap stuck and blocking the natural workings. The majority of people depreciating my diet are obese and morbidly so. Their advice is rarely observed for obvious reasons. They're offended when I ask why it's not working for them. Please address the issue of Thyroidectomy. It is procedural. Not necesity. Nodules go away with proper diet. Thyroidectomy took the place of hysterectomies. We need doctors to come forward with the truth. The ones who admit it. Are afraid to come forward.

If you have fat to lose, yes, a potatoe is not healthy to consume. She does a thorough job explaining why. When one does not have body fat and is at a healthy weight and has a daily morning physical routine of building muscle, consuming an organic baked potatoe with the skin is a healthy fiber and carb when eaten with healthy fats and proteins.
Plus if you cook them in refrigerate them it turns them into resistant starch which is very good for your intestinal health, and it has a very small effect on your blood sugar levels that way. I eat them almost every day for the potassium because I have low potassium
My physician suggests aloo paratha commonly to non diabetic ppl. But nothing else he/she consume for next 5 days but only potato paratha each in breakfast+lunch n only soup n a toast or sauted vegetables for dinner.

@@Marina-yb3nh my intestines are fine and work as required. Tests confirm this. Fiber is why so many people carry a stone or two of crap stuck and blocking the natural workings. The majority of people depreciating my diet are obese and morbidly so. Their advice is rarely observed for obvious reasons. They're offended when I ask why it's not working for them. Hypocrisy is rampant among the righteous obese.

@@ddiddles1591 if you eat low carb aren’t you getting fiber in your diet? I don’t know anyone doing carnivore 🤷🏻♀️ but keto has plenty of attention on fiber. On another note, phylum (probably spelled wrong) husk stirred into water is a zero calorie way to include fiber.
