Even in the pit, there is etiquette. If you note, right after the Jump, someone gets downed in the bottom center, and folks are helping him up and checking on him. Wife got kicked in the face by a diver accidentally at Lords of Acid, and folks took her aside to check on her. Metalheads are sweethearts

It's True! I went to Ozzfest 2001 in Camden, NJ. I was 9 months pregnant. David Drainman of disturbed actually brought me a chair and water as I went into false labor. It was a weird , but fun day!
She IMMEDIATELY started headbanging! I'm telling you it's innate! ANYONE can go to a metal show! They just have to have situational awareness and at least one other experienced person looking out for them to help them avoid any actually dangerous situations. Not that the people are dangerous. Just that some people are better at judging whether a section of a mosh pit is more likely to produce accidental harm than another. In some places, there's no moshing at all and even much older or disabled people can enjoy the show. Don't let the moshing you see scare you!

I'm 31 now and continue to believe that metalheads are really just cuddly teddybears for the most part. Everyone's looking out for each other, they have to, otherwise people get seriously hurt in the pit. Anyone falls, there'll be three people reaching to drag'em up to their feet. She'll be safe!
DUDE - I WAS AAAAAATTTT THAT CONCERT. This was one of (maybe THE) most amazing gigs I have ever been too. It's a shame the camera wasn't on the crown during the jump up - because 100,000 people all leaping to their feet at the same time and landing at the same time is something you just cannot imagine. Slipknot bring it so hard, and so professionally.
I think they watched a different take of it?? Because the one I watched had the video on the crowd when he said jump the fuck up! I was really bummed they missed out on that iconic moment ☹️
First off your daughter is absolutely beautiful, that being said your reactions are top notch probably the best on UA-cam, I swear Cory Taylor can put the f bomb in the middle of the Our Father

Slipknot was my son's first concert back in 2015 when he was eleven. He was hooked. It's an experience - she nailed it. Take her.

I've been to 6 slipknot concerts and have never gotten injured. I have taken my son with me to three of them. They really don't know how to put on a bad show and it is defiantly worth it. Metal as a community get together as a group to protect the women and children at shows to ensure everyone has a great time.
You guys have given me genuine joy in your reactions, Pop's your a great dad....involving your wonderful daughter here in opening her horizons musically. Music simply has no bounds, no age, no gender, no race, creed, religion..... Music is art, and some can appreciate the art, some will appreciate OTHER KINDS of art. Please have her react to “Wait and Bleed” my favorite Slipknot song. I saw them live back then too. Amazing. Concert is safe, just stay out of the pit and you’re good.
Man...your love for your daughter and her love for you is beautiful. Definitely enjoyed the reaction, but wanted you to know that this young woman is lucky to have a dad like you.
Take her! Im 24 and i went when i was about 19, its CRAZY! it is a safeplace, metal heads watch out for eachother, everyone is there to get the same fun experience and the fans want everyone to have a great experience as well. And they are easily one of the best bands to go see in concert
I seen slipknot back in the day a few times and your daughter would be safe. Great reaction, felt genuine. Will watch you guys again. I actually like Slipknot alot more after you watching you guys.
Mannnn lol I love the reactions with u and ur daughter. Awesome watching ur awesome relationship with her and great job raising her. Seems like she has a solid foundation and a great head on her shoulders.
Depending on the venue, she would be perfectly safe. I’ve seen them twice in Jersey at the PNC Bank Arts Center. If you’re in the seats, not lawn, there’s no mosh pits. I’ve seen children as young as 5 rocking out at their concerts. My husband, who is most definitely not a metal head, thoroughly enjoyed the show. They are extremely energetic, as well as talented. They put on an amazing show that pulls in even my easy listening and country music loving husband. Thank you for sharing your reaction. I only watched your video because of your viewing a Slipknot song. The Slipknot family of fans are called Maggots. So, from the bottom of the maggots heart, thank you.
I’ve taken my young daughter to a Slipknot show! It is an amazing SHOW. Just stay out of the mosh pit. Mosh pits at metal shows are different from hip hop in that they’re very intense and rough. But! If you fall down, you can be absolutely positive that someone is going to pick you up and get you moving again. Then when the songs over, everyone bumps fists, hugs, etc. Metal crowds are actually extremely friendly, but scary looking. Just go, it will be an amazing experience.
OMG! LOL! I loved watching you watch her because you knew what was coming. I just discovered your channel and I'm having a blast watching your reactions with your kids. It's very heartwarming to see the loving interaction you have together. It reminds me of my daddy; I was very close to him. :) And you better take that baby girl to a concert! lol The first time concert experience together will be amazing.
I started going to Slipknot concerts at 15 or so years old....I'm now 35. Not even sure how many times at this point. I'd still go whenever they're home again too. Get this girl to one. She'll be fine!
Cool that your daughter liked this. You go with her to a Slipknot concert. I hope she gets to one of their concerts one day. An experience she will never regret.
I went to the 2019 Knotfest and I have to say it was one of the best experiences I've ever had. The metal head community is one big family they look after each other to ensure that everyone has a good time.
The drummer in THIS video is actually Joey Jordison. Jay weinberg which is the current day drummer is the son of Bruce Springsteins drummer. Max Weinberg.
As long as you aren’t in the pit you are perfectly safe and let me tell you the people you will meet will be some of the nicest ever!!!! I can’t wait to go back and see them!
Take her. You both will enjoy it. Slipknot concerts are so intense its entertaining. Corey is hands down on of the best leads in a band. He keeps the crowd involved and makes the show that much more enjoyable. Plus with all of them on stage there is alot to watch and take in the raw talent they all have. 100% recommended to take her. I took my at the time 14 year old to one and she cant wait for the next one.
One Slipknot concert, I went into a moshpit, and after a few minutes had a seizure. They stopped the moshpit and everyone carried me out checked on me and called the paramedics. Afterwards, the guys in the moshpit went over to the stands, and EACH of them bought me water ( I must have had 20 bottles of water when I woke up) and stood there until I woke up giving me bottles of water and made sure that I was okay. Metalheads are the best fans you will ever find. We are a family that gets together every concert. We pick eachother up when the other falls down, we stop the pit if even your glasses fall off or you lost a shoe. You'll never be alone and you'll never have to worry about anything at a metal concert.
I went to see Slipknot last summer and was perfectly fine. It's a lot of fun and the crowd is pretty dang respectful outside of the pit. You both should consider going, because it's a really great show and concerts are great parent/child bonding experiences. The past couple years I got my hiphop and pop loving mom to join me for rock concerts and she ended up having a great time. : )
Hey the first time I saw Slipknot I was 15 and weighed maybe 110 lbs and I came out out unscathed (more or less, had some bruises and few scrapes also ended up passing out due to dehydration but that was my fault for not drinking enough water at an outdoor concert in the middle of summer.) I was also so chemically influenced which did not help my situation. Saw them again last year and once again a few bumps and bruises but no major damage. As long as she stays clear of the pits and keeps an eye out for crowd surfers (cause they hurt when they fall on you) she'll be fine. I'm hoping to yake my 2 son's who are 10 and 11 to a show this year (virus permitting 😒) Of course I will not have them down on the floor in the crowd but some nice seat tickets will be good. Of course I can also understand your position, it does look kinda scary. 😂
Now you see why metal heads love metal concerts. We scream, jump up and down, and let all our stress out at a show like this. It's energizing, fun, and releasing all at the same time. Just stay out of the middle of the pit if you don't want to get hurt lol.
The show I went to was right after he needed surgery on his needs l neck. Corey came out with a black neck brace on and still jumped the f up. He got my respect for that. Still one of the most amazing concerts I been to.
This is the original line up. It’s sad that not even a year after this show was played, Paul Gray (The Bassist) passed away. I’m so happy I got to see them the year before at Mayhem 2008. RIP #2.
From the drummers perspective while he's spinning on the 90 degree angle... It looks like there is a massive wall of thousands of people jumping... Must be a unique sight
Lol cmon man! You think everyones just beating each other up all over the place? Naw, I'm tellin you seeing them in person is fucking amazing! You're totally safe if you simply stay out of the mosh pit! Everyone else is just jumpin up and down, shouting the lyrics, headbanging like crazy, crowd surfing, just havin a bad ass good time. The ENERGY in the crowd is why people love to see slipknot concerts imo. Slipknot is SO passionate and SO full of energy its absolutely incredibly contagious! I swear even someone who somehow wandered into a Slipknot concert with zero experience with heavy metal let alone Slipknot would feel emotionally exhausted after the show because they couldn't help but get hyped with everyone else. Its such a wild ride I'm telling you anyone would appreciate why this band and their concerts are so positively talked about by everyone whos actually seen them live. I swear, the fans would totally make you and your family feel completely welcome and believe it or not you'd feel completely accepted. Slipknot/metal fans are so much more accepting of people who are new to the genre/band then the sometimes toxic fandoms of a fair amount of pop audiences. For example, even the people poppin off in a mosh pit will help each other up and are very aware that one of the main things about a mosh pit is you can go let out all that energy but at the same time no ones going in there looking to body someone (obviously there are shitheads out there and trust me no one, including Slipknot, appreciates those assholes and they get called out, THEN you're likely to see a true ass whoopin on those assholes). On the other hand all those thousands of little girls at a pop concert can be fuckin viscous if anyone is even close to lowering their concert experience slightly. You'll get your ass whooped for trying to work your way up closer to the stage, no doubt lmao. They feel entitled to "their" spot and ain't nobody gonna tell em different, doesn't matter how polite you are about it either. You're gonna catch some hands/claws/fangs from the mob of 12 year old girls. I know this because...lets move on! I'm tellin you you and you're daughter would be safe, and have an unforgettably badass time. Don't believe the stereotype that Slipknot concerts must be dangerous because its simply not true! The people in danger go in the pit knowing full well its somewhat dangerous but thats where the thrill comes from. *cough* Long rambling story short, be a badass dad and take whoever in your family wants to see slipknot live! The memories you all would share because of it is reason enough if you ask me damnit! (Yeah no one asked me but fuck it.) PS I appreciate anyone who takes the time to read through all this shit, whether you agree or not.
Corey Taylor has one of my favorite acoustic shows ever in London! For people that think he can only shout... Slipknot - Vermilion Part 2 and that solo acoustic album are great reminders of why Corey Taylor is considered one of the best mainstream vocalists nowadays... The man knows what he is doing even when he shouts! \o/
Ah yes!!! another convert!!! Go to a concert...Chill at the back then as you feel comfortable go with the crowd...Everyone takes care of everyone. I took my 12 year old with me and he LOVED it!!! Slipknot has great fans!! Maggots...Enjoy!!

I was 15 when I went to my first metal concert, Disturbed and Drowning Pool (original lead singer). I've lost count of the concerts I've been to since. Metal heads are super nice. They also tend to be very protective of small/young people
Wear solid shoes, no sandals. Don't wear shoes that you don't want scuffed, don't wear a hat you'll regret losing. Bring earplugs to protect those young ears
Metal concerts are perfectly safe. Tales of being injured are usually overblown and if you're worried about it, just stay out of the pit

Of course I can also understand your position, it does look kinda scary. 😂
I'm so stoked to see her react to this!!!
I've taken my son to two slipknot concerts one when he was 12 and again at 17, both where badass1
Now you see why metal heads love metal concerts. We scream, jump up and down, and let all our stress out at a show like this. It's energizing, fun, and releasing all at the same time. Just stay out of the middle of the pit if you don't want to get hurt lol.
Crowd control 101. Theatrics 101. love it!
I was there for this, it was amazing!
Yes I been waiting for this Slipknot is my band love them so good
Now you have to take her to a Slipknot show and blog it! I took my 12 and 13 year old sons, and we all had a blast. No injuries 😉😆🤘
I got clothslined at a pantera concert.4 big dudes surrounded me and got me to my feet.another guy found and returned my hat.it was awesome!!!
RIP #2.
you would be surprised how many of my black friends go to Slipknot shows my friends don't hesitate to see them live
Metal heads are the kindest people you'll ever meet. You go down in the pit and people going to get you up quick af.
You guys should check out Nero Forte
I saw Slipknot live in 2001 in Berlin. I will never forget the experience. I was mad for Slipknot back then.
You should absolutely take her to a slipknot show. I’ve been to 100 shows and Slipknot is best shows you can see. They’re so amazing life
It was very sweet how you shared your experience with your daughter)
From the drummers perspective while he's spinning on the 90 degree angle... It looks like there is a massive wall of thousands of people jumping... Must be a unique sight
One of the best Slipknot reactions I've ever watched. Make more!
(Yeah no one asked me but fuck it.) PS I appreciate anyone who takes the time to read through all this shit, whether you agree or not.
lmao..."What in the world did yall do to my baby"...i swear the best line ive heard
love slipknot first album where corey rapped good shit
You can tell hes a great dad. Much respect
Corey singing an acoustic cover of Prince's "Little Red Corvette" IN Minneapolis the night Prince died....will bring a tear to your eye. It's beautiful. Also, he raps with tech N9ne. A song called "Wither."
Coolest dad ever award goes to.... lol I love this man
Awesome of you to share this new experience with your daughter :) ✌❤💫
I took my 4’11” girlfriend to a slipknot concert. Totally safe and is probably one of the best concerts i’ve been too. LET HER GO😂
I love her reaction. ❤️
C'mon Dad! I took my 20 year old daughter to see Slipknot last summer and I'm 55 years old. Best effin' show evah.
Love that the guitarist slides in the KYUSS riff at the end.
