Well... thanks so much first of all. I mad up all the nicknames for the watchers on the screen. Once i make a name up for them its locked in. We pick up about 2 or 3 new watchers on our live channel. Some started changing their name to the new nickname i give them..... now that made me feel real good.... lol ....

Exactly! A friend heard me listening to heretic's anthem and thought i was listening to some satanic music. I had ti explain "if IF IF IIIIIIIIFFFFF" YOU are 555 , I'm 666! Lol. You gotta listen to what he is really saying. For me, slipknot is to metal what Public Enemy was to rap. The energy!!! And just like PE, some people thought is was "hate" when it is the total opposite! I love these guys!

I slept over a concert in the fifth row on a festival in the grass. Go to some punk/oi gigs you gotta survive that
@LiverHook Placed Slipknot concerts seem really fun, but, not dangerous. Lot's of jumping and "going crazy". Less insane moshing. I've been to shows where I've been punched, kicked, kneed in the face, and trampled. Saw Slayer on their farewell tour and it was fucking epic. Them and Lamb of God had the best pits at the show. Wasn't as bad as some of the smaller death metal shows I've been to when I was younger, but, arguably more fun with bigger pits. Slayer pits (and thrash pits in general) were my favorite. No karate or malice, just good fun that could potentially get you hurt.
Metal concerts are very underrated, people there are actually very caring most of the times. Soldier fall and the rest will help you back up to your feet. Solidarity is the key

Heavy metal always impressed me, they have to come up with every part of the song. They gotta write the guitar part, write the bass guitar part, write the lead guitar part, write the drum part, and write the lyrics. It ain't just like there getting a beat from someone and only have to write the lyrics, there's so much that goes into 1 metal song its crazy, now that's raw talent.
Everything you listed is something in literally every genre that requires a band lol.

I went to see them here in dublin ireland about 7 years ago, and when he made everyone sit down for this song to jump the fuck up it was the most amazing experience I've ever been a part of.

Shawn Crahan (the guy in the bloody clown mask) designed and build the hydraulic rigs for all three drum rigs. Some of the inspiration came from drummer Tommy Lee of Motley Crue. He wanted (but never did) to mount his kit on a roller coaster track that would circle round a stadium show

I saw a drum solo video of this drummer and the platform he's on glows in the shape of a pentagram. It's pretty cool to see.
What I love the most is everyone's reaction to Joey's kit spinning after going up 15 feet and tipping him forward. My second favorite reaction is when you tell those same people that the 2 other percussionists built and fabricated all 3 kits. Chris's kit rocks back and forth like a mechanical bull, and Clown's spins and climbs as well. They also use and built on several items to make specific sounds. Most notable is the 2 kegs that they hit with pipes. These guys are multi talented. I've seen them 13 times now, and in 380 live shows, they are still the best!!

When Joey was still with slipknot his kit and throne were bolted top a platform. Joeys throne has a harness on it and the entire platform raises up and rotates for an awesome visual effect during shows and solos

They're performance is badass in concert. The singer really does have a great voice. I can see them being rock legends and some of these guys are in their 40's as well as me.

Download is a rock music festival in the UK. It used to be Monsters Of Rock but kinda changed to the Download festival. It usually takes place in the middle of the Donnington motor racing circuit.
Their drummer now is the Son of Max Weinberg from the E Street Band and the Conan O'Brien show

Huge Slipknot fan, even BIGGER Joey Jordison fan(RIP to the king) he is an absolute god and i love listening to his drumming on every track because its all i can hear!
I've seen the live twice in front row and that "jump up" is ALWAYS fucking epic. They put on one the greatest shows you'll ever see.

Their shows are one of a kind; even if it's the same song line-up, they always bring something new to every single performance, and the level of communication and connection they have with their fans is second to none. Props from a fellow 40 something. I used to do this in my twenties but no sir not now.
It is rare to see a "gong bass drum" nowadays. They were a favourite of the 1970's, only having the beater head and a shallow depth meant you could use a gong beater and get a different resonant bass drum tone.
Having been to one of their concerts, let me tell you the ground literally shakes like there's an earthquake very time they do this. :D
