Justin G Dave’s special wasn’t supposed to be funny. He even says “sorry this isn’t funny”. Sounds like you missed the entire point of it. Furthermore, let’s say it was supposed to be a traditional comedy special and it was in fact bad. One bad special doesn’t mean he’s not the goat. Bill’s Paper tiger wasn’t as good as his past ones (although it got better as it went along). Jordan has an off game is he no longer the Goat? That’s just silly ass logic.

The thing about Bill burr is, he knows what he's talking about.
I had a similar situation when I was a social worker in my 20s. One of my clients, an old black woman, needed groceries. So I took two bags of groceries to where she lived in a factory turned into apartments. In front of the entrance was a group of 5 or 6 black guys. I parked across the street and got out holding two bags of food. They crossed the street and started looking in the bags aggressively. I was afraid, no doubt. Suddenly, I heard a voice saying, "You get away from my caseworker!" They obeyed her. I went upstairs to her apartment and we sat and talked. She was so sweet. When I had to leave, she went down with me to make sure I was ok. So when I heard this by Bill Burr, I completely understood.

BODEGA IS THE SPANISH WAY OF SAYING GROCERY STORE. USUALLY RAN BY DOMINICANS , PUERTO RICANS SOMETIMES ECUADORIANS , MEXICANS OR COLUMBIAN IN NY.
Puerto Ricans and Dominicans call it Bodega. Mexicans and South Americans don't call it Bodega... For South Americans and Mexicans a Bodega is a warehouse so they don't don't use that word for corner store.
This is used reference in NY in the nineties. That's where the place and time line is. If that is the case then dominicans call it colmado.

@Paul Judkins cuz many peeps are uncomfortable with truth because of how unflattering it can be. Daughter said it best when she tried to explain people only get their truths from what they're exposed to and we're all guilty of it. Not necessarily racism - but stereotypes and prejudiced assumptions cuz you don't know any other way. More listening to each other is needed and less yelling about who is wrong will help a long way cross these gaps.

Bodegas are Corner Deli Grocery Stores you're right on usually they're owned by Dominican/Puerto Rican,some Indian,some arabs,and they only have a few in Midtown/Downtown Manhattan I'm from The Bronx "170 st" but I've lived in Chelsea (Midtown) also so I know what he's talking about when I heard his "What's a Bodega" & his expression when she asked him to come to "125 st" I was rolling on the floor 🤣 😆 😂 😹 cause 125 st is the Heart of Harlem (The Hood) he gets me going and the way people react to this it's just Hilarious lol

Bill Burr is brilliant. I never thought I would ever see a standup as funny as Richard Pryor, but Bill is very close. He likes to push buttons. Great comedy touches on stereotypes, and the great ones aren't afraid to go there. Small minded people have said Bill is a woman hater and a racist. I wonder what they thought when he married a black woman? By the way there is a thing going around UA-cam that the girl in the Harlem bit is his wife now. Nope. He met his wife several years ago and things didn't happen for them. They met again years later and the rest is history. He has a podcast twice a week and his wife Nia joins him often. True story: 20 years ago, I lived every day like it was my last. I had zero fear because I was only responsible for myself. So I would walk around anywhere I wanted with total awareness, but no regards. It didn't hurt that I also trained to be a professional wrestler in Philly. I was very comfortable being wherever I was. I have kids now, so I know that others depend on me, therefore, more cautious about where I go and who I hang with.
