These Tribute Concerts for Taylor were an AWESOME TRIBUTE to Let’s face it; the LEGENDARY Rock Drummer Taylor Hawkins I am So PROUD of Both Dave Grohl, the entire band of the Foo Fighters as well as his buddy’s such as Joan Jett, it made me tear up with seeing the emotion in Joan Jett’s speech before she began playing with them for this 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
Joan has so much style and class ( but thats a story for another time. ) I've been a fan of hers since I first saw her open for The Who at the Tangerine Bowl in Orlando Fla. Back in 1981.
Joan is still using the blue Shark Finns! I still have the worn down one a buddy picked up while wrapping up after her show in Montreal. He latter gave it to me, and they are now my pick of choice, blue green and orange. But for the last year i cant find them for sale anywhere! Please help, I need my fins.
It felt so good to see Rush again and they still have it. Wouldn't it be cool to see the three of them perform again on stage! I think with today's technology it could be done with Neil as a hologram. There are countless recorded performances of Neil through the years so why couldn't holograms be made and projected behind Geddy and Alex on stage. Geddy and Alex said once that without Neil they would never perform as Rush again but in this way there he would be! They could do a limited tour and call it "RUSH : THE HOLOGRAM TOUR! What a dream that would be. The first of it's kind, a futuristic experience!!!
They could definitely do it- Queen has done it with Freddie Mercury live in concert the hologram was Aaammmaaazzziing!!!! I LOVE Rush ♥️ phenomenal musicians then and now!
I truly hope that the Foo's carry on. I'm sure Taylor would have wanted that. His son is an amazing drummer and could always do shows with them. But they need to keep writing songs. Dave is a song-writing addict, and needs to keep that legacy going.
Really bad good song. Sunday mornings my daughter listen to this, Disturbed, tech9, sweet Caroline, Jonny cash, Five finger deaf punch, guilty pleasure ( don't tell any one but Buy Buy Buy) cause they were done with being a boy band. And the last rock I have is the Foo Fighters. Any recommendations?
What keeps me thinking all the time. Wasn't the touring of the band getting too much for Taylor? Actually the reason why he shot down? I'm not sure if all this was really the way to honour him - letting aside seeing his son being dragged into the same circus that killed his Daddy and leaves him to live without him.
Drugs caused a cardiac emergency that killed Taylor Hawkins. Sobriety is hard it’s very hard! Music is what made him live! We wouldn’t have gotten this many beautiful years of Taylor Hawkins music is it wasn’t for his love of music giving him incentive to stay strong and sober for his family and band mates.
Sat in that building for a Joan Jett concert in the 70s. Killed it then, killin' it now.
Way to kick it off right. Not only is Dave Grohl a music legend, he's obviously a music fan of epic proportions. Taylor would have loved this concert.
Damn she still sounds amazing live
I play different bits of the concert every night as a meditation on a life well-lived and the joy of music: thank you!
So beautiful when you see how many folks love what TH was.
Damn! NOBODY WILL EVER TOP THIS!! RIP Taylor🙏😇🙏

I think they'll create but I'm not sure it'll go forward as the Foos or what we would recognise as them. Time to evolve.

Shut Up Grohl and let the music do the talking.

His son was loving what he was doing. I seriously doubt anyone dragged him into playing drums for this.
Really? 🙄
